texas renfest is coming up oh god oh fuck

hey! i’m a nonhuman who (also) lives in texas and i just wanna say your blog gives me SO. MUCH. HOPE. i’m currently stuck in conservative suburbia (too young to move out) and every day it’s just like…. there has got to be people who are like me. who are punk and queer and leftist dogs who bite and growl and scream like me. and a lot of the time it doesn’t feel like there are. but you’re here! and that gives me hope. maybe we’ve passed by each other or something. idk.

I've spent hours now trying to think of how to respond to this, because I truly don't know how to express how much hearing this meant to me. I used to be in sort of the same place as you I think, I was stuck at home with conservative family in the kind of area that sends legal cease and desists to actual children for making pride month merch. But things get better. There are other angry, queer, loud dogs all over the world fighting for what we believe. It feels lonely out there because we're so spread out! But we're here and we can talk through little interactions like this one. You aren't alone. I may not know you, but I've got your back. And who knows, maybe we have passed each other on the street, its a small world sometimes.

Speaking of that- it sounds like you're likely a minor? (So sorry if I'm wrong about that) but when/if you're an adult me and my pack would totally be willing to hang out sometime! We usually go to like Renfest and wildlife sanctuary events together. You know where to find me!

Mr Glee and myself caught the plague, so we slept in and are heading home. We had a full day at the Ren Fest, though. Only downside is I didn’t wear my hat.

Note to self: always wear the hat.

I finally got myself a pair of vinyl fairie wings. Maybe I’ll finally finish that fairy corset and skirt I started like 3 years ago.

Or trash it and start on a fresh one, since I’ve gained weight since then. Have to look it over and see if it’s salvageable.
