You’re so right! Everyone gave her way too many excuses and coverups for years. I’m glad more people are finally coming around but I definitely resent them for defending her for so long. You get me anon 😭 what made me hate her was the 2015 MTV VMA Award noms dropping on twitter and Nicki Minaj (who I hate dw) rightfully criticizing them for not nominating her (her video submission was Anaconda which if you remember…IT WENT VIRAL). She criticized the VMAs for never acknowledging Black (female) artists, specifically how BW bodies are seen and she used WW bodies as a comparison.
TAYLOR SWIFT TOOK IT AS A SUBTWEET AGAINST HER AND IT LITERALLY WASNT 😭 Nicki responded “wtf these tweets were never about you” and everyone dragged Taylor Swift for centering her dumbass white woman feelings 😭 Its in my stupid document but I’ll link them later when I’m on my laptop
HER DATING CONNOR KENNEDY WHEN HE WAS 17 AND SHE WAS 22 WAS DISGUSTING!! I’m about to graduate college so around her age AND DATING A HS SENIOR ?!?!??? HE WAS A LITERAL CHILD!! SHE BOUGHT A HOUSE NEXT TO HIM!!! What blows my mind is that she was a similar age when she started dating John Mayer! So you think she would know better…besides you know having basic moral code…she’s actually disgusting
The swatiska incident kills me because people frame it as her being too young to know—SHE WAS 19 WHEN SHE TOOK THAT PHOTO. SHE COULD HAVE SAID NO. I wrote more about this in my google doc but she’s actually sooooo evil she’s been working with the victim/passive narrative for so long its impossible to hold her accountable without looking crazy to people 😭
