personally i think the best way to look at this election in terms of "who am i (as a viewer) going to vote for" is that first and foremost, for us, this is a STORY. we are watching a story (and also a fun game and funny people doing funnies together, but for election purposes we'll say that)

therefore our goal should not be "which candidate has the best policies" or "which candidate is best for the island". we don't CARE. that's not our business.

we don't care what's good for the islanders. THAT'S NOT OUR BUSINESS. we're not islanders nor are we players. we are the guy in the bar watching the Truman show. our business is "what story do we want to see?"

each candidate offers something different.

(note: i don't claim to understand their platforms, for personal reasons i haven't followed it closely bc i kinda suspected there was gonna be drama and didn't feel like stressing myself over minecraft politics; my local elections freak me out enough lol)

for a rough example:

elquackity: obvious federation plant, clear enemy for the rest of the server. man-vs-government arc.

forever: did you like cellbit's infiltration arc? i could predict something like that following in forever's footsteps (forever sneaks around the federation, learns a few secrets, continues to make his changes to the server but does perhaps experience horrors, most likely a slower burn than cellbit's arc but certainly a lot of espionage and theorycrafting)

those of y'all with a sounder grasp on candidates, sound off in the notes on what we can expect FROM A STORY PERSPECTIVE; i actively ignore the debates (they make me want to cry lmfao). i don't care what their platform is exactly, where will it take the story?

and i'll repossess your liver if i see any goddamn cc hate or harassment in there. this is more than not a safe space for that, this is an active danger zone. watch yourselves. <3

character A and Character B enemies to lovers idea: Knifeplay.

Like just hear me out alright!

They're enemies, or at least had past encounters where they've seriously hurt each other right? And they're both just a little bit fucked up, so when they become lovers they are really into kissing the scars they've given each other in the past.

But, not all their scars are from each other, and let's say one, or both, of them gets a little possessive-- maybe jealous that there's other people who've marked their lover other than them?

So, the totally obvious totally normal solution is to make the scars theirs instead. And tada that's where the knifeplay comes in, right?

Jast imagine character A laid out underneath Character B as they re-open an old wound to make it their mark instead. Character A panting, whining; character B leaning down to kiss it better, trailing kisses all the way up the fresh slice.

Character A pulling on character B's hair until they look up at them with hungry eyes, licking the blood from their lips, tasting character A-- consuming them as one might consume the blood of christ. And the pain is worth it, for the worship, the pure adoration in character B's eyes.

Character A twitches against B's thigh-- character B smirks, tracing the edge of a blade along another scar carved into their lovers skin by someone else. Just enough pressure to send a shiver through A, but not breaking the skin just yet; a silent plea for permission, a promise.

you made em blush!!!!!!! im so glad my characters are realistic oggg i really strive for that!!! i always make sure theyre real stupid with some stuff and real smart with other stuff, and i always give them at least one thing to be autistic about. for scully, hes good at cooking and he sucks with talking and hes autistic about knives and meat!!!! teddys good at talking to people and keeping from rocking the boat, but in the story he struggles to do more morally grey things (not because of morals, hes just got no idea how to go about kidnapping someone or torturing them for answers! he gets better at it though) and hes autistic about taking photos and also he really likes pastries theyre yummy treats for him that he cannot resist!

ohhhh i have a few other guys such as jude and sterling that are also awesome but just havny been on the noggin. judes a weird little dork mortician with medical trauma and they have a pet turtle that they love sooo much and sterlings a guy who fucking sucks hes a little office boy and hes homophobic and transphobic but it mostly just hurts him because hes absolutely a trans woman without realizing and he was in an unhappy hetero marriage where he kept hooking up with men then feeling shame for it. and hes divorced about it not only literally but in soul and spirit.

AND! while im here heres scully and teddys playlists!!! mostly based on lyrics and vibes as opposed to tune (and as a bonus heres sterlings, but jude doesnt have a well fleshed out playlist rn)
