The adaptive controller I got for my switch is almost perfect for me I’m so happy! I can even play Mario kart (with some of the accessibility features turned on)
ID: a purple 8BitDo Lite SE adaptive controller in front of a switch playing Mario Kart. The controller sits flat on a table and has all of the buttons on the front (so no shoulder buttons). /end ID
I can basically only play video games using my thumbs and have a huge amount of trouble using the shoulder buttons on any controller. I also have problems pressing the plus and minus buttons due to the strength and dexterity needed.
This controller is designed for people with reduced strength who can’t reach the buttons on the back and is pretty much ideal for me. It’s opened up so many games I would either struggle to play or be totally unable to play. I’m really excited that I can play Mario Kart again because I loved the game as a kid. I need to turn on automatic acceleration and then I’m good to go!
It was really easy to set up, the battery life is great and it stays connected well. And the best part is that it’s incredibly cheap for an adaptive controller – I got mine for under £30.
It won’t suit everyone, but if it works for you it’s an amazing alternative to the other incredibly expensive adaptive controllers.
Still can't get over the fact that Toby Fox dreamed up a game ending, but he decided he wanted to make something a little less ambitious first, so instead he made the most influential indie game of all time
people always talk about evil clones like oooh a dark mirror oohh what if you saw what a cruel person you were/are capable of becoming. and well yes but what if you were the evil clone. what if you looked in the mirror and what you saw was so bright it blinded you. what if you had to know exactly how good you could have been.
The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”
"Can we talk about men?" "Men experience this too." "It's just that as a man," "Not to derail but this is also true for men." "OP idk if you know but men also..." "Sadly this also goes for men." "Can we please bring up how this affects men?" "Its just that men--
