September 15, 2023 Very recommendable witchy fiction.😍 I love the series "The Witches of Portland" by T. Thorn Coyle because the witches there and their magic are depicted in a realistic way. T. Thorn Coyle is a witch and it shows in their fiction. Also, the characters are diverse and there are also some interesting activism topics. The ebook of part 1, "By Earth" is currently free on all retailers. https://books2read.com/by-earth

The real reason the CRM fell so quickly.
Rick was imprisoned by force even kept on a leash at the beginning and did everything to escape. Later, he imprisoned himself by fear. He was afraid of the three pages of scrawl that Jadis wrote about his family and community. That is why Michonne tore it up and cried, this stupid piece of paper kept him away from her for years.
Listening to this lunatic Beale you could see Rick almost physically get sick. All these years he lost because a Beta b$tch has Daddy Issues. Later Rick tells Michonne he is just angry at the loss of time with his family.
In the end the CRM was just a bunch of B’s clinging to each other in hopes of survival by destroying those who may challenge them. The only part of the Echelon Briefing I think Jadis and Pearl heard was that they will be in elite company and safe.
People keep saying it is “rushed”. How? At this point can’t we tell a Beta B$tch a mile off? He killed Omaha, gassed Michonne and her friends, should they have waited for him to kill Portland… to make sure he is a bone fide Big Baddie? The opportunity presented itself… and that is who they are they “Make sh!t happen”. It could have been stretched out, Rick was disgusted and now he was the one begging Michonne that he wanted to just go home.
At the end of the day, there is no difference between Beale and the 3 scroungers Rick and Michonne saved in the woods who then turned on them. Beale just took an opportunity that presented itself and killed off another city to protect himself. Rick and Michonne are doing the same with this opportunity “Live by the sword of opportunity, die by the sword of opportunity” or something like that.
Michonne spent an entire episode breaking the mental chains the CRM had on Rick. Episode 6 was the payoff he had to return to the scene of the crime and see clearly, no hesistation. He saw his only friend Thorne was too far gone to be save and he saw that Beale was a lunatic. What he saw made him angry that he wasted so much of his life with these fools.
Michonne gave him Clarity.
This is the world Shane would have created… and it is ugly.
I like that they did not glorify yet another sociopath with fascist tendencies.
So not rushed, also the CRM still exist all Rick and Michonne did was cut out the cancerous part.
What I would like to see for the future: I always considered Rick in the model of Cincinnatus, the reluctant Roman leader. He was asked to became an absolute dictator and when order was restored he quit and went back to his farm.
If there is a season 2, I see Rick being begged to take over the CRM and lead the fight against the doomsday clock of humanity.

Thorns Jackets and Dash Interviews (Emily Sonnett)
Tumblr media
(another reupload wow im putting in the work over here)
Anon Request: could you write some emily sonnett quarantine fluff pleaseeeeee! keep up the great writing :)
Sigh, just for you Anon. This was unbelievably hard to write for some reason and I seriously struggled but here she is. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what to write or how to just write fluff so enjoy the added angst I guess.
Word Count: Zero. It’s been zero for the past 24 hours. Why can’t I write this? -> Actually it is now 2958 so there.
Warnings: Being sad about the Thorns Trades None?
“Babe, we have to get up.” You groaned in annoyance at her words, snuggling yourself closer into her.
“No we don’t, we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. Isn’t that the perfect excuse to stay in bed?” Sonnett’s chest rumbled with laughter at your question and though she couldn’t see your face, she could feel the way that your lips formed into a pout against her neck. Sighing, she brought her hand up off your shoulder and ran it through your hair gently. You purred in satisfaction that you had seemingly convinced her to stay in bed for the day until you felt the loss of her touch as she slid out from underneath you.
“Emmmm.” She could see your pout now and she sent you an apologetic look as she offered a hand to help you sit up. Grumbling, you accepted it as you brought yourself upright, pulling the blankets up with you.
“I know, I’d rather stay in bed too. But you have a livestream to do for Houston and I have phone calls to make.” Ever since your return from the Challenge Cup, there have been nonstop interviews and livestreams asking about your feelings on the win and sharing the experience with your older sister Kristie Mewis. While you were of course thankful for everything that had happened over the last months, you much more preferred the idea of being able to relax in your girlfriend’s Portland apartment with her by your side.
“Or, you could come back over here where we could cuddle and work from bed at the same time.” You tugged on her hand but you knew it was a vain attempt as she laughed and slipped her hand out of your grasp.
“You want me to stay in bed and cuddle you while you do your interview, huh?” She asked, raising an eyebrow and settling into a classic Sonnett pose as she placed her hands on her hips.
“Mhm, that’s what I said.”  You answered, cocking your head to the side as you couldn’t quite figure out where she was going with this.
“Meaning that you want me to lay in bed with you while looking like this,” She paused for a moment to motion to her current look. You let your eyes travel over her as she stood in front of you in her sports bra and boxers, and you knew that you absolutely didn’t want the entire internet to see your favorite view. “While you do your livestream that our national teammates, including your sister, will definitely be watching?”
“No!” Immediately blushing bright red at your quick outburst, you averted your eyes to study your hands as Emily deeply chuckled. While you two had been dating for well over a year now, you had both decided to keep pretty quiet about your relationship. The main factor in this was that Emily was a notoriously private person and she had told you a long time ago that she never wanted publicity problems to come between you. However, you knew that deep down she was scared of your teammates opinions, particularly your sisters.
“That’s what I thought. Now come on, let’s at least go shower together before the day gets going.” Smiling at the idea of showering with her, you let yourself start to get out of bed. Your movements were intercepted though as Emily met you on your side of the bed, pulling your legs up and around her waist. You yelped in surprise at the little defender’s movements as she pulled you up quickly, forcing you to wrap your legs tightly around her waist and your arms around your neck as she picked you up.
“You’re ridiculous!” You laughed, burying your face into her neck as she walked towards the bathroom.
“Yes, but you love it.” She quipped, squeezing slightly on your butt as you hummed in agreement, giggling at her touch. When she finally made it to the bathroom and sat you down on the counter, you simply stared at her sweetly as she started the water.
“What?” Emily asked, giving you a funny look when she turned around and caught you staring.
“You know, we have to tell them sooner or later.” You mumbled, kicking your feet back and forth like a child. Your girlfriend’s gaze immediately softened after you spoke as she crossed the bathroom to stand between your legs.
“And we will babe.” Cupping your cheeks with her hands, she leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on your lips before leaning her forehead against yours.
“They’re gonna kill us, aren’t they?” You mumbled, opening your eyes to look into hers. Her blue eyes sparkled as they looked into your own and you felt her shrug her shoulders.
“They didn’t kill Ashlyn and Ali and they haven’t killed Tobin and Christen, we have no reason to assume they’d decide to start with us.” The words were comforting but you couldn’t quite tell if you believed them. Both of you knew the team would probably take it hard that you hid this from them considering how they had practically helped raise you.
“Yeah but neither Krashlyn or Preath have protective older sisters on the team. Plus you know the family dynamic…” You trailed off, not knowing where you were even going at this point. While you came from a loving family and even played by your sisters sides, the USWNT had turned into your family more than your blood relatives had the moment you first entered camp as a teenager. Emily sighed and brushed her thumb against your cheek, empathizing with your worrying spirit.
“Who cares anymore, babe. You might’ve been seen as the team baby the day that you walked into camp hand in hand with Mal but you’re nearly twenty-two now and you’re allowed to make your own decisions and keep whatever secrets you want from the team. I know that people are going to have their opinions about it but I would take their opinions and a good yelling from ARod like I did that day on the field a thousand times over as long as it meant I got to spend my life with you.” Emily’s words brought tears to your eyes and her thumbs that had previously been brushing against your cheeks were now busied wiping away the few warm tears that spilled over. She pressed a kiss to your forehead and pulled you into her chest where you stayed for a moment, simply listening to her heartbeat.
“I love you.” You whispered into her mess of blonde hair that your face was buried into.
“I love you too. Now let’s go shower before we absolutely kill my water bill.”
After your shower you began getting ready for your interview. Being the adorable girlfriend that she was, Emily had taken the liberty of picking out your outfit which was simply a cozy pair of workout leggings and one of your Dash champion shirts. Thanks to this, you were dressed and ready quickly which was a major plus since the shower had definitely taken longer than you meant it too. Deciding to leave your hair natural for the sake of time, you moved into the living room to set up your laptop in front of a nondescript gray wall that you prayed none of your teammates would notice didn’t match the vibes of your flat back in Houston.
Walking past and into the kitchen, your girlfriend gave you a thumbs up as she stole a snack and a drink before heading back to the bedroom where she was talking on the phone. You sighed, wishing you could follow but you knew it was time to start this interview. Shivering as you started up your laptop, you cursed Sonnett for keeping the apartment so cold in contrast to yours as you quickly grabbed the nearest jacket and threw it on. A dinging noise signaled that it was officially interview time so grudgingly you clicked the browser and joined the call, plastering a smile on your face.
The questions from the interviewer were repetitive and mildly annoying but you kept your classic chill demeanor as you answered, nodding your head some and smiling a lot. It was something that contrasted you greatly from Emily who was a ball of energy on and off the pitch. You were known to be the calm one, the levelheaded Mewis sister who was quick to step between screaming teammates and prevent a card. This same trait was one that made you a thrill to interview which forced you to be the one to assume press duties on a regular basis.
“So, after all of this you’ve been through with Houston, how is it that you still find yourself wearing Thorns gear?” The interviewer asked. You seamlessly masked the look of confusion on your face with a little smirk and a shrug of your shoulders. Confused on what he had meant, you looked yourself over in your reflection and had to stop yourself from rolling your eyes when you noticed that the jacket you had grabbed was Emily’s old Nike half zip with the Thorns crest blazing a bold red on the chest. Forget the apartment wall color, you could have just given yourself away with the jacket.
“Please, just because I was on the winning team doesn’t mean I can’t support those that gave a valiant effort.” You joked, winking at the camera and grinning when the interviewer laughed as well. Somewhere in your brain you made a mental note to remember to thank whatever higher power may exist for blessing you with quick thinking skills both on and off the pitch. For about another ten minutes you chatted with the man who asked questions varying from asking about your time in the Wubble to dealing with the pressure that comes with your last name before you could finally wave goodbye and hang up the call. Slamming the laptop shut, you bounced to your feet and nearly jogged down the hallway, ready to flop into bed with your girlfriend.
“Remind me to always check exactly what I’m wearing before I do any more interviews!” Groaning, you flopped into bed beside Emily who was looking at you like you were the worlds biggest idiot, a look normally reserved for Kelley O’hara. You opened your mouth to ask her what was wrong when you heard a familiar voice come from over the phone that she held in her hands.
“Did I just hear Y/N?” Cursing mentally you looked at your girlfriend as you both frantically tried to figure out what to do. Before you could respond though, another voice joined the call. You glanced down and saw Tobin walk into the frame behind Christen, showing her fiance her phone as she spoke.
“Did you see our kiddos interview? She was wearing a Thorns hoodie over her Dash shirt and then teased us for being losers, little punk.” Emily turned and looked at you with wide eyes as they settled on the hoodie you had stolen off the couch. You mouthed an apology but she just chuckled and shook her head. Both of your focus returned to the FaceTime call where Christen had gone quiet and you could visibly see the gears turning in her head until finally her eyes lit up.
“Hey Y/N.” She finally said and you sighed, knowing you’d been caught.
“I thought you were on the phone with Sonnett?” Tobin asked as she laid her head in Christen’s lap. At any other time you would have aww’ed at the Preath interaction but this time you just adjusted yourself so that you were in the frame of Emily’s camera.
“Hey Pressy, hey Tobs.” You muttered. Tobin nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of your voice as she turned to face the camera, eyes wide in confusion.
“What? Where? You’re in Portland?” You nodded your head and watched as the two players looked at each other and had a completely silent conversation with their eyes. Out of frame, Emily wrapped her arm around your waist and pulled you in closer to her so you were nearly in her lap and you could feel her warm breath tickling your neck. Even over the phone, your proximity to each other was clear and it clearly wasn’t unnoticed by the two.
“You’re in Portland. At Emily’s.” You nod again, not knowing what else to do.
“You’re in Portland. At Emily’s. Doing interviews in a Portland Thorns hoodie that looks too small on you.” Christen repeated, adding more details this time and clearly expecting a response.
“Yeah, it’s Sonny’s. I stole it off the couch before my interview because I got cold.” Press sighed and flipped her hair, looking somewhat disappointed.
“Why didn’t you tell us, Y/N?” She asked, and your focus was drawn away from the screen as your nervous tics started to take over. Emily, seeing the way your hands began to shake, comfortingly ran her hand up and down your side.
“She’s an adult, Chris. She doesn’t have to tell the team everything.” Emily said, speaking for you as your own words simply wouldn’t form.
“But she’s in Portland and I haven’t seen her since our last friendly, I could’ve seen her again.” Press’s pout was deep but it had nothing on the distracted look that you wore. You hadn’t told Preath that you were in town for a reason. Emily nodded her head when you looked at her, reading you like an open book the way she had since day one.
“Maybe she didn’t want to come see you guys.” Sonnett said softly and neither Chris nor Tobin could mask their surprise.
“Didn’t want to come see us? She never misses an opportunity to spend time with us.” The older woman stated, clearly confused by Sonnett’s words. Taking a deep breath, you squeezed Emily’s hands and found your words.
“Normally yes but coming to Portland always turns into a family trip when you guys know I’m here.” You admitted.
“And what’s wrong with that? I thought you loved family time.” Your heart ached when you saw the hurt on Tobin’s face and you wondered if maybe you should have told them all sooner.
“I do love family time but that’s not what I wanted. I wanted to spend alone time with Emily.” The admission once again sent the gears spinning in not just Christens head but Tobins too. Emily looked at you in shock, moving the FaceTime call so you were both out of frame momentarily.
“Are we doing this right now?” Her expression was a mixture of both shock and excitement.
“I think so, yeah.” Moving the camera so you were back into frame, Preath looked at you both expectantly.
“You wanted to spend time with just Emily? Just her. The two of you. All by yourselves?” Christen asked and you couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Yes Chris, that’s kind of what is implied when someone says alone time.” The silence that ensued was deafening as everyone seemed to search for something to say.
“Almost two years.” Emily said, everyone including yourself giving her a funny look at the random outburst.
“What?” Tobin asked over the line and Emily sighed, sitting up a little straighter.
“Y/N and I have been dating for almost two years. It’ll officially be two years in September.” Preaths mouths hung open and you looked at your girlfriend in shock. While you had expected to imply that you two were together, she simply told them the way it is.
“Almost two years and you didn’t tell us? Who else knows?” The hurt in Chris’s voice was evident and you cringed slightly hearing it.
“Nobody, just the two of you now.” The two women on the other end of the phone nodded, clearly consumed by thoughts.
“I think this is a conversation for in person.” Tobin spoke, and you groaned and hid your face in Emily’s neck.
“I didn’t even plan on having the conversation now and you’re telling me we have to have it in person too?” You could hear laughter at your whiny behavior and it made you smile a little as the tensions cleared slightly.
“Yes baby we do. How about Tobin and I pick up food and we come over to Sonnett’s and see you two? Like a quarantine double date.” Chris was grinning now at the proposal and even if you wanted, you couldn’t say no to that bright smile.
“Alright, it’s a date.”
“Great, see you two at eight.” As she moved to hang up the phone call, Tobin grabbed the phone.
“Oh and Emily, you may have been our teammate longer but that’s my kid right there so know that we will be discussing this.” With that, the women both said I love you and ended the call.
“Well, I guess that went better than expected!” You grinned. When you looked up at your girlfriend however you broke into laughter, seeing the absolutely terrified look on her face.
“This is it, this is the end. Tobin Heath is going to kill me. My life has barely begun, babe I’m too young to die.” Still laughing you moved so that most of your body weight was on top of the other girl, laying so you could snuggle yourself against her chest.
“Quit being so dramatic. I’ll make sure you live through Tobin’s shovel talk.” You chuckled, listening to her still rapid heartbeat.
“You promise?” She asked, looking as soft as ever as she wrapped her arms around you.
“Of course I do, I’m never going to let anyone hurt you Emily Ann because I can’t picture my life without you.” With that, you both sunk back into the softness of both the bed and each other, taking this time to enjoy the calm before the storm.

Note
i think tc were actually pretty set on settling down in portland. i remember there were always discourse of t trying to get c into thorns but was never able to do so given the valuation of c. then in 2019 c talked about in an interview how she may never be able to play in la even if she would love to. 2020, the pandemic, the acfc creation and the LV expansion draft really changed their direction
Yeah, at some point I'm sure that felt like the plan. It feels like they really loved it there. I mean they like fell in love there haha (and everywhere else, but) that was a huge part of their beginning.

Julie Ertz tackle leads to pk... what do we think?

I wanted to write/think through the penalty called against Julie Ertz in the past weekend's Angel City vs. Portland Thorns game (April 29th at Providence park.) The whole game deserves a breakdown. That said, I haven't stopped thinking about that call in the box, Julie Ertz' tackling prowess, and the place of the hard defensive tackle in women's soccer.
So what happened? Thorns' Weaver beat AC's Spencer with minimal challenge and zero attempt made at a tackle, allowing Weaver to send a dangerous cross into the six as Thorns' Crystal Dunn made a careening, surefire run. Given how devastating Dunn is around goal, we have no reason to think she would have missed had a defender not made some kind of mess. Nielsen, at left centerback for Angel City, attempted a block but she couldn't quite execute.
Meanwhile, streaking back in heroic fashion, Angel City's prodigal daughter made a hook-style tackle, using her right foot to loop the ball 180 degrees back in the direction it came before it would have perfectly intersected with Dunn's run on the cusp of the six yard line. Almost, but crucially, not quite instantaneously (rather, a snap moment after) the leg Ertz used for counterbalance as her right foot collected the ball caught Crystal Dunn from behind. Dunn didn't see Ertz coming. The ref called a foul, and then gave a subsequent yellow card.
Beyond the scope of what I know to be true, my hypothesis is that the yellow culminated from Ertz' protestations to the call. Regardless, this call led to the first of the Thorns' 3 goals, as Hina Sugita stepped up and took a clinical pk into the side netting.
Full disclosure: I never thought this tackle was a foul. From the admittedly limited vantage point of viewing at home, it seemed to me that Ertz got the ball before hitting Dunn, and before Dunn had gotten any touch on the ball herself. As a fervent Dunn stan, I think Dunn did well to make this crashing run. And I admit I'm usually biased towards Dunn in most foul scenarios because she has such keen and incisive touches on the ball. In this case, however, I thought that this tackle was immaculate and just sooo deliciously executed-- a defensive midfielder's dream! That said, Ertz did tackle Dunn from behind, which is the riskiest for sure. So foul or nah, I feel like both sides could make a respectable argument.
This all got me thinking about the pedagogy of coaching and refereeing in women's footy as it compares to the men's game. I haven't compiled/ looked for stats to defend this argument, but what came up for me with this call was that a hook tackle like this would NOT be called in a men's game. I'm open to being wrong here, but I'd be curious to see if this thought came up for anyone else. What does this mean? Does this mean it should be called as foul in men's games? Or that it shouldn't in women's?
And I've also been thinking about tackling as a relative weak spot in my soccer education growing up. From my experience playing soccer from 3 and up, boys in my home town and local premiere leagues were taught how to tackle: the principles, the timing, the strategy, the body mechanics. As an adult that plays co-ed for fun, learning how to tackle confidently (ball-first and clean of course) has been a literal game-changer for me.
Would love to hear what people think on this.
In the context of the epidemic of ACL tears, this seems like a worthy conversation. I'm not saying that women's footy needs to get dirtier. Rather, hard, clean tackles are a cunning coordinational feat. In my experience, they are safer than under-informed tackles, and certainly safer than half-hearted tackles. They are a delicacy of the sport that I wish was emphasized more in the women's game of my youth... and maybe they are more, now. But I want to hear what others think.
Will write more about the absolute tear that Crystal Dunn has been on, and how fun it's been to watch so many of the players on both these rosters come into their own. But now, I gotta work!

Tumblr media
They war einverstanden.

I bet Chesky heard I was going to bed for the 2nd half because I was ready to drop dead from exhaustion and said "oh yes, I am gonna be SUCH a shit ref and lose COMPLETE control of this game"
In a dramatic reenactment of the classic Thorns v Royals Royal Rumble match, 3 fucking red cards were handed out. One to Charley who apparently did deserve to be carded and wasn't involved in the subsequent kerfuffle. 1 to Kristen Edmonds for throwing hands and 1 to Morgan Weaver for this action.
Tumblr media
NOW I KNOW PEOPLE ARE SAYING THEY'RE BOTH TO BLAME, AND I GET IT, BUT MOST OF THIS ISN'T NEW IN SOCCER.
Did Edmonds pull Weaver down? yes. But Weaver also had her arm around Edmonds when they fell, so that was 50-50, as a ref I wouldn't give a card there bc they both got up just fine. Does the fall affect possession of the ball? No, the ball is cleared and there's no clear game advantage being lost so, no cards.
Tumblr media
Did Weaver fully LOOK at Edmonds getting up and rough housed her to get her to slow down? Absolutely, and Edmonds is pretty innocent there because she was running, not looking at Weaver, and hit Weaver in the chest, shoulder first, because Weaver ran INTO her. But again, no cards if this was the end of it because if the last thing didn't deserve a card neither does this, it's pretty usual soccer stuff to try to slow someone down when they're running. It also has nothing to do with game play. No ball is near, possession isn't being fought over. Keep it moving. They could've kept running after the shoves.

NOW WHERE WE GET INTO CARD TERRITORY. Shoving? Fine. Pushing? Fine. Pulling eachother down like idiots? Fine. THROWING HANDS AT YOUR OPPONENT'S FACE? NOT FINE
Tumblr media
Boy, sis straight up shoved Weaver's face into next Sunday. THAT is something you give a card for. And she's instigating more of a fight. Edmonds had to MAKE THE CHOICE to tippy toe to reach Weaver's face. That deserves a red card. Does Weaver deserve a yellow for the shove? yes, because that kicked off the rage I guess. NOW A REF DOESNT HAVE THIS TO REWATCH, THEY HAVE WHAT THEY'VE SEEN HAPPEN, AND THATS WHY BOTH PLAYERS GET KICKED OUT OF THE GAME!
And its a valid choice, when you put all the roughhousing together its only fair that BOTH players get kicked out, because they're disrupting the game.
YOU KNOW WHO ABSOLUTELY DESERVES TO GET A RED CARD? Chesky. This is happening in extra time—this is the product of shitty reffing. A good ref will either talk to the players when giving out warnings DURING THE 90MIN OF THE GAME and tell the players if they don't slow it down they're gonna get kicked out, or talk to the coaches and warn them that a player is cruising for a card. Good refs DONT put their whistle in their mouth and whistle 50 times at a player when they do something. A good ref TALKS to a fucking player when they're clearly getting heated, a good ref TALKS to a player when they get a warning. And a good ref Chesky is not.
The thorns have grounds for appealing this, if the card is being given out over the fight Weaver clearly didn't fight back. Did she shove Edmonds? yes. Did they BOTH shove eachother to the ground? yes. But Weaver didn't fight back and with some retrospect I could see why a committee could take the card back. Edmonds however deserves a few games suspension, not just the one game for the red card. She made a choice to THROW HANDS AT WEAVER'S FACE and that is not part of the game—players should be better than that, this isn't a playground or a high school, it's a whole professional league and to put hands on a coworker like THAT is not acceptable. That was beyond the game.
One more for the Chesky saga.

Book Review "The Witches of Portland - By Sun" by T. Thorn Coyle 🌞 Blurb A witch with a mission. A man running from himself. She must use her magic to battle a force that threatens the lives of innocents. Lucy still reels from the aftermath of a magical attack. She's not ready for another battle, but her magic forces her toward a decision so huge it threatens to burn up the sky. When an old flame steps back into her life, the last thing she expects is to rekindle their attraction. As Jack’s hacker friends pressure him to take on a risky project, he can no longer hide from himself, his feelings, or the world…
With the help of her coven, Lucy must fight a force whose reach extends across borders, putting lives in danger. To stop this evil, Lucy will have to let go of control and let a Goddess take over her magic. And Jack? He has to learn to stand for something, or take a fall… 🌞 Review At first, I had a little difficulty following the second main character, Jack, in this book, because his problems seemed a little abstract and hard to grasp at the beginning. Soon, however, this story became very exciting. Jack's experiences become mystical on the one hand, on the other hand he has quite mundane problems, which are also related to his profession. I really liked the protagonist Lucy, whose ancestors are from Mexico. Lucy has a strong connection with the ancient Mexican mother goddess Tonantzin and I won't tell you more because of the risk of spoilers. In the finale there are some scenes that I can only describe as badass and epic in the best sense. This time, Lucy's coven works together with brujas, and not only in Portland, as well as several activist groups and some hackers - all of this work was really suspenseful to read.
