Note

You mention on your Ulgurstasta post that you had an Age of Worms soundtrack when you ran the AP in High School. Any other tracks for other encounters/areas?

I actually still have the whole playlist put together! I'll stash it under a cut in the interest of saving space, but some highlights:

The Hellboy soundtrack by Marco Beltrami was sort of the backbone of the piece. The Main Theme was what I used as the main theme for the campaign as a whole, and the themes used for the Nazis in that movie were the cues for the Ebon Triad.

The Full Metal Alchemist soundtrack was also a major role (the original 2004 anime, not Brotherhood). The Homunculus theme was used as Lashonna's theme, in many variations.

Lots of Nobou Uematsu, particularly FFVI and FFVII. I used OC Remix versions of many of those tracks for fights.

The Hall of Harsh Reflections, appropriately, used music from The Thing by Ennio Morricone

Balabar Smenk's theme was the Jabba the Hutt music from Return of the Jedi

The music used for the Kyuss Knights was Spiders and Vinegaroons by Queens of the Stone Age (who were formed from a band named Kyuss)

Musically, Alhaster was Russia. Lots of Russian folk songs for its characters.

The Library of Last Resort was themed around Philip Glass music

Every time they found an artifact, I used The Ecstasy of Gold from the soundtrack to The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Kyuss himself got One Winged Angel for his fight music, so I gave the JENOVA theme to the Harbinger of Worms, who created him.

Note

I’d be more scared to go against Morgan and Pinoe than Midge and Hatch or Smith (who can’t hit the broad side of a barn) and Weaver. Experience goes a long way in these camps. It’s not always about speed. Pinoe still sees the game better than most. You’ll be able to tell more about a defender going up against them than the newbies.

Of couse, but there's time to compete against players like P and AM. You need to cut other players first imo.

Okay, it’s recap time.

THORNS V COURAGE

Bella Bixby, look at you go bud!! She’s doing GR8. No AD was scary, but I think she did well! The scoreline wasn’t what I wanted but it was at no extreme fault of hers.

I kind of forgot becky was back there sometimes.. but you know WHAT, there’s organization and calmness from her and I like that.

Menges always makes me nervous with her initial defensive challenges but she recovers SO well, it’s usually unwarranted

**SIDE NOTE, I MISS THE WALL OF EMILYS AND JUST SONNETT IN GENERAL

And them back wingers. Kling’s hair was cracking me up. She did well. So did Kelli, THOUGH, she was doing a lot more clearing than actually target passing from the back.

Horan and Sinclair are linking up beautifully. MORE OF THAT ALWAYS. Linds def came in ready. Her fitness is THERE. (She said altitude WHOM?) Her touch. Her awareness. Pulling out nutmegs. Clearing defensive corners. MY BITCH. But I really really really need her to protect her beautiful giant head.

Salem was a pleasant surprise, and Rocky was wonderful, still working on a lil chemistry. When it clicks, watch TF out.

Lussi and Everett were uneventful.

SIMONE CHARLEY. She is a joy to watch play and to have her finish Lindsey’s header. !!!!!! SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO CRASH FAR POST. She’s lovely. I love it.

Also, I am physically incapable of not loving and supporting Crystal Dunn. Like Sammy though, quiet.

My heart BREAKS for Ally Watt. That did not look good. I was yelling. That sucked a lot.

hmmmmm, it kinda depends on the day. my theme song is circles by soul coughing, that track has a permanent place in the top five. today i wasn’t feeling great and ended up listening to both bøjet’s i need u and the safe music from amnesia: the dark descent on loops as a way to self-soothe. in my defense it sorta worked.

34. have you ever fired a gun?

not yet! my friend zach really wants to see me fire an ak for some reason (he’s into guns, all i know i know from movies and like, project research).

51. are you scared of spiders?

mmmmm only certain kinds. the cute fuzzy ones i like, and those massive--i think they’re called orb weavers? i like those too. and tarantulas are really neat (don’t want them close to me but i like to look at them!). but if i see anything that even remotely looks like a fiddleback or a brown recluse i kill on sight if it’s in my house.

69. extrovert or introvert?

extrovert! my mbti type is enfj (although i can admittedly still be a little shy around new people; imagine a golden retriever but with a lot of anxiety).

91. do you like your own name?

you know, i do! i was almost named lauren elizabeth. i think morgan’s a bit more in-tune with my personality. although at the same time i think my middle name--elise--is much prettier. kinda wish they’d picked that for my first name instead but eh, it’s not a huge deal. :p

Carnegie's father was a weaver who made linen for a living and his mother worked repairing shoes. His family was fairly poor. Andrew never forgot how important these books were to his education and would later donate significant funds to the building of public libraries.

He soon got a job as a telegraph messenger. This was a much better and more enjoyable job. Andrew got to run all around town delivering messages. He also studied Morse Code and practiced with the telegraph equipment whenever he got the chance. In 1851, he was promoted to telegraph operator.

In 1853, Carnegie went to work for the railroads. He worked his way up and eventually became superintendent. It was while working for the railroads that Carnegie learned about business and investing. As Carnegie made more money, he wanted to invest his money rather than spend it. He invested in various businesses like iron, bridges, and oil. Many of his investments were successful and he also made a lot of business connections with important and powerful men.

In 1865, Carnegie established his first company called the Keystone Bridge Company. He began to put most of his efforts into ironworks. Using his connections with the railroad companies, he was able to build bridges and sell railroad ties made by his company. He expanded his business over the next several years, building factories throughout the region.

He then went into steel, making use of a new steel making process called the Bessemer process that enabled steel to be made quicker and cheaper than before. He formed the Carnegie Steel Company and built a number of large steel factories and soon had a large percentage of the world market.

In 1901, Carnegie formed U.S. Steel with the banker J. P. Morgan. This became the largest corporation in the world. Carnegie had gone from a poor Scottish immigrant to one of the richest men in the world.

Andrew Carnegie felt that being rich was just the first part of his life. Now that he was rich, he decided that he should spend the rest of his life giving away his money to needy causes. Other projects included purchasing thousands of church organs, building Carnegie Hall in New York City, and forming the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

Carnegie died of pneumonia on August 11, 1919 in Lenox, Massachusetts. He left the majority of what remained of his wealth to charity.
