Eddie may not have gotten to meet Will or El but he did get to meet Suzie. When Steve was busy, Dustin would ask Eddie to drive him up to the hill so he could radio her, "she exists, Eddie, geez", "Alright, Henderson, I'll believe you when I see it," and so it became a thing, Eddie would lay on the hill close enough to hear when Dustin got really into recounting DnD that week but not close enough to hear anything private.

Until one day, "You wanna meet her?"

"Me? You want me to meet your Mormon girlfriend? The town's proclaimed satanist and cult leader?"

"of course I do, you're my friend."

And so Eddie met Suzie, who had actually heard a lot about Eddie just like she'd heard a lot about Steve and the Party, because Eddie was important to Dustin and so he was important to her.

Eddie loved Suzie, would crack jokes with her, tell her anything embarrassing Dustin did at school and thought she was the smartest girl he'd ever met and in return Suzie thanked him for looking out for her Dusty Buns ("Oh I'm definitely teasing you about that one kiddo") in high school.

When the dust had settled and his leg fixed up, Steve drove Dustin out to the hill, which thankfully had been left unharmed by the earthquake and held Dustin as he and Suzie cried over losing Eddie together.

Suzie has the same name as Susie they just have one letter in their name that’s different. Suzie was introduced in 1985, the same year Susie went missing/got killed by William Afton at Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria. And despite Season 3 of ST timeline starting June 28th, 1985, Susie went missing 2 days before that on June 26th. And literally when Dustin tried to call Suzie, she never picked up until the last episode…y’all is this a connection?💀 did the duffers rip off Fnaf when creating Suzie? Or am I just overreacting? Suzie lives in fucking Utah for fucks sake and it was confirmed a while back (in The Silver Eyes)I believe that Fnaf takes place in FUCKING UTAH, they might both be in different places in Utah(Suzie : Salt Lake City Susie: Hurricane) but that doesn’t fucking matter because it’s literally slapping us right in the fucking face lmao.

How do you feel about Dustin and Suzie?

i love duzie!!! they’re adorable. my henderhop agenda is out of left field. BUT first relationships don’t always last, especially in stranger things! i think they’re usually a means to an end or a learning experience.

i love suzie so much though. i think she adds much needed levity to the whole end of the world vibe the show has. she’s adorable and so smart.

s3!Dustin deserved better in a number of ways, but I feel the need to specifically point out that his friends decided to surprise him in the literal worst possible way when he gets home from camp in the pilot. Like, the boy has known about the Upside Down for years, same as they have, and they still think it'd be a good idea to use malfunctioning electronics moving spookily around a house as a way of attracting his attention.
