In which after they were saved from the Xuanwu Cave, Wei Wuxian was punished by Yu Ziyuan and he has decided that he had enough. Wei Wuxian defected from Yunmeng-Jiang Sect. He left and he did not look back.

“Ah, the rabbits.”
“You saw them? I wanted to bring some but I figured that Lan Zhan could use some friends.”
“You said the rabbits have ribbons?”
“Yes they do, but they didn’t have it when I returned. I think it vanished with Ancestor Lan Yi’s spirit.”
Lan Xichen’s brows furrowed. Why does he feel like he missed something?
And in which Lan Xichen realized that something more happened in the Cold Pond Cave.
Or a story where Wei Wuxian defected from Yunmeng-Jiang Sect before the attack and what happened to him and everyone else after that.

Summary: Lan Wangji should be in seclusion, his back a network of wounds. Instead, he’s woken up during the Sunshot Campaign and his adopted son is there with him.

Comments: This is a time travel fic in which Lan Wangji, shortly after his punishment, travels back to the Sunshot War with a tiny A-Yuan. Of course, so soon after Wei Wuxian’s death and his punishment and desperate to save Wei Wuxian he is Not Okay. To make it worse, his pain and the fact that he has acquired a son in the middle of the war does not go unnoticed by his brother and Wei Wuxian himself. The author includes some gut wrenching scenes with Lan Xichen, A-Yuan, Wei Wuxian, and even Jiang Yanli, Jiang Cheng, and Wen Qing. This fic is one of my top three favorite fics I have ever read. The author simply nails the characterization and breaks your heart while doing so. Every single Untamed fic by this author is a must-read.

Found this quite by accident and a happy one at that. This isn't just any old canon divergence from Xuanwu cave with wangxian leaving and staying together, oh no. This one explores the gorgeous possibility of Jiang Cheng, Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Jin Zixuan sticking together as they travel towards Yunmeng (as per canon) and how this friendship changes things.
Read this if you want Twin Prides of Yunmeng being the badass sons of Lotus Pier that they are, Together. Read this if you're a part of the Give Wangji and Zixuan Friends Agenda.
Read this if you want to see the top 5 Young Masters work as a guerrilla unit with strong camaraderie. Plus wangxian that has got their shit together.

In other words, Wen Ruohan's bored, so what could be better than planning out a cut-sleeve wedding in the middle of the archery competition?

“I… I see…” The lady slowly backed away, and Wen Ruohan turned back toward the crowd of sects below him. He turned his gaze toward Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji who were currently engaged in a one person conversation. Because Wen Ruohan couldn’t hear them, he went to watch through his nail.
The one where Wen Ruohan has magical nails 💅 that let him see everything. Watching Wangxian greatly amuses him and inspires his inner matchmaker until suddenly there’s a wedding to plan.
