I didn't want to draw Ashfur, Bluestar, Cinderpelt and Crowfeather cause they are different as hell in the book itself? Soooo friends offered to draw black/white solid cats instead (I chose the black ones because there are more characters I like).
I think about Crowfeather as a black smoke cat, not "very-very dark gray", so he counts here, but Scourge is an impostor a bit with his white paw. I also hate adding red/white spots on solid black cats, I think it ruins their vibes, that's why Scourge and Lightning Tail don't have patterns at all, not because I'm lazy, lol. They are pure void.

Leaders Lives: Blackstar
Picked a random Leader for the first edition of this. Going to detail who gives Blackstar his 9 Lives, how he loses them and in what order.
Blackstar is actually a unique case. He does NOT get 9 lives all at once. Starclan doesn't trust him enough, and makes him work for them, which he does.
His first life gained is from Stonefur, his victim. Stonefur gives him a life for Hard Work. Good luck, Blackstar. You're going to need it. Blackstar is warned that if he does not work hard, he and his beloved Clan will fall. He gets the life right after The Darkest Hour.
His second is from Blizzardwing, his angry, regret filled father. He doesn't want to be connected with the cat who made him so miserable, but he knows he has to take it, for Shadowclan. The life is Acceptance. He gets it before The New Prophecy, after Firestar's Quest.
The third is a life for Perspective, from Badgerfang. He also gets this life at the same time as Blizzardwing's. These two lives will be a Bonus Scene for Midnight.
The fourth life is from Hollyflower. While Blackstar has a complicated relationship with his mother, and wishes more than anything that she and Blizzardwing had just walked away from each other, he was always closer with his mother. The life she gives is for Compassion. He gains it during Moonrise, right after having lost one of the few lives he has from a poisoned frog. (Sorry for mixing up you and Fernshade!)
Lives five and six are from Swampkit and Yellowfang. Swampkit gives him a life for Judgement, and Yellowfang gives him a life for Trust. He gains the lives at the beginning of Sunset, after seeing Onestar get his 9 from the Moonpool. During the end of Sunset though, he will lose another.
After the events of Leafpool's Wish but before The Sight, he gets 2 more! The first being his old buddy... Brokenkit. When Brokentail died, his soul split in 2. Being the living embodiment of a curse meant that his life was changed before his great grandmother had breath in her lungs. Starclan, as an apology for the torment that Brokenstar's mind gave him due to his cursed birth, allow a different version, the "What could have been" Brokenkit, who would have been named Flamekit after Silverflame and died at 5 moons old. Brokenkit/Flamekit gives Blackstar his seventh life, for Unity.
His eight life after the kitten bounds away to his mom is from Nightstar, who gives him a life for Loyalty. These 2 lives, Unity and Loyalty, would seem a bit at odds to a younger Blackstar. But with his age has come genuine wisdom, he knows he needs to both stand with the other Clans, and do what is best for his cats.
The final life does not come from Shadowstar, but rather, from Sun Shadow. The life is for something that Sun Shadow claims Blackstar "doesn't need any help with". It's Leadership. He gains this life during the end of The Sight, with Jaypaw watching from afar.
As for order lost and how:
Blizzardwing - Acceptance - Hit by a tree branch just days before the events of Midnight.
Badgerfang - Perspective - Poisoned frog in Moonrise, which makes him go to the Moonstone for guidance and gets him a life from Fernshade.
Hollyflower - Compassion - The Fox Trap during Sunset takes this life, soon after he got it too. This is the other half of the Blood Will Spill Blood Prophecy, with Tigerstar's sister Mistfang getting him in a trap beside Firestar.
Yellowfang - Trust - A kidney infection that would not respond to any treatments during Dark River.
Brokenkit/Flamekit - Unity - Infected wounds from The Eclipse Battle. Unity was truly shown here, dying from rightfully defending Thunderclan.
Nightstar - Loyalty - Smoke inhalation during The Fire in Long Shadows. He dies saving his former mate, Tallpoppy.
Swampkit - Judgement - Dehydration during The Fourth Apprentice. This one was brutal.
Sun Shadow - Leadership - Snake bite during Sign of The Moon, not venomous, but it did get an artery. He gets a sick-ass scar from it on his neck though!
Stonefur - Hard Work - In a twist of fate, Blackstar is murdered by Redwillow during the Great Battle.

Founders: Marshlands
(Original title of ShadowClan)
DEWDROP
“I know many have hurt you, my friends, and I’m sorry. Your pain is my pain too. I plead with you to not be embittered by this and to have your vengeance by living in joy despite their attempts to ruin it.”                     —Dewdrop, the Dusk section of the Epic of the First Clan
Mistress of Moonlight, Sister of Shadows, and founder of what would become ShadowClan. The Crone placed low odds on the soft little kittypet securing a place among the Forest. Thankfully, Dewdrop proved to everyone she could stand on her own with kindness and trust. Despite her small and demure appearance, she had an aura about her that commanded respect from even the most hard-hearted of cats; when she spoke, cats were damn sure to pay attention.
In a world where not much empathy was given to the misfortunate or the untrustworthy, she placed trust in them and gave them a sense of belonging. When it came time for her to stake her claims to a territory, she took in the distrusted, the villainized, and the unwanted, one such incident recounted in the Midday section of the Epic of the Shadowed Haven. A tom from the Uplands named Frost had his leg grievously burned in a fire, to the point it hampered his ability to hunt for the Clan. Clear Sky banished him for this, and Dewdrop took the tom into the Marshlands with tail held high. Feeling a sense of belonging, Frost lived out the rest of his days joyfully in the Marshlands.
However, Dewdrop was aware of her own shortcomings, and during the period in which she trained under the Crone, she came to befriend a pilgrim, Tall Shadow. The two became trusted allies and that trust led to Dewdrop appointing her as her deputy. Of the Crone’s disciples, she was the longest to live, and while her grave is unknown, there’s a small silvery pebble placed on a stone pile near the entrance to the Mother in her honor.

TALL SHADOW
“Stand down, Clear Sky! The earth cares not one way or another for your bliss or your sorrow. I grieve for your beloved too, we all do. But we must press on; the sun still rises and sets without her, just as it will when we breathe our last.”                     —Tall Shadow, from the Poems of the Pilgrims
Wraith of the Pilgrims, Keeper of the Marshes, and the first deputy of ShadowClan. Even before her arrival to the Forest, she suffered the hardships of losing some of her own, including the leader of the pilgrims’ band. The Poems of the Pilgrims recounts Tall Shadow and Clear Sky’s power struggle in the wake of their leader’s death. Even when the pilgrims were ushered into what is now RiverClan territory, their fight for power drove a wedge between the struggling cats.
No one’s sure why Tall Shadow never heeded the Crone’s call—perhaps someone needed to keep an eye on the pilgrims—but she did join the Moorlands some moons later to see for herself how her friend Ripple and her rival Clear Sky were faring. There she met Dewdrop and the two hit it off well, to the point it felt natural for her to be asked to join the former kittypet’s side in deputyship. While Dewdrop handled unruly cats with a firm voice and a harsh word, Tall Shadow backed up her leader’s words with her claws and teeth.
Unfortunately, Tall Shadow’s story ends poorly. Recounted in the Moonrise section of the Epic of the Shadowed Haven , the Marshlands’ wraith had been found dead with a former Uplander to blame for the death. In a rare moment of pure fury, Dewdrop sentenced the cat to death, and a long portion of the Epic is dedicated to her grief for her fallen companion. Not much of a body was left for a funeral, but the shadow of Dewdrop’s memorial is enough for the descendants of their Clan.

RUBBLE
“The mighty maple choked by roses. Storms rend the rain from the thunder. The heavenly inferno stains the night red. Starry shadows and sunlit snow and the silver water-reeds. O Mighty Sycamore, do the flowers and the sticks deliver you from the ants? You! Yes, you, Fern Leaf! Where’s my frog? Didn’t Dewdrop say I needed my frog?”                     —Rubble, from the Morning section of the Epic of the First Clan
One of the first seer-like cats in Clan history, dreamy-eyed and aloof. No one’s really sure where this tom came from, but rumors had it he was a former kittypet. Interestingly enough, he didn’t show up much in the epics all that often, only featuring to impart some rambling nonsense and disappear into the background once again—only for that “rambling nonsense” to turn out to be a prophecy.
For arguably the first seer of ShadowClan, it’s surprising how little the most pious Clan knows of him.

Tall Shadow/Shadowstar and her brother Moon Shadow and his son Sun Shadow and his mom Dewy Leaf and his siblings, and Dewy Leaf's new husband Sharp Hail and their kits as well. When I first did these I forgot that Dancing Leaf and Crow Muzzle had died as kits, so I did grown-up versions before I realized my mistake.

Tiger Tail, Pale Sky, Rumble and Lightning...
Just WHAT are we gonna do with you 4, eh?
Lightning has been fused with Lightning Stripe, she is now pure white aside from a ginger stripe down her back.
Sleek Fur is now the son of Violet Dawn and Rain, and is a mini-me of Violet Dawn. His sibling is Shell Claw, who is now a dark brown tolly, with blue eyes like Rain. They miss their dad.
The other sibling, Feather Ear, is now the only child of Falling Feather and her wife, Aspen Leaf. She is a little tortie!
Lightning Stripe's brother is Rumble Fur. He looks a lot like Acorn Fur, although he has long, tangled fur.
So, Acorn Fur and Thunderstar have Lightning Stripe and Rumble Fur. Falling Feather and Aspen Leaf have Feather Ear. Violet Dawn is now the single mother of Sleek Fur and Shell Claw.
Tiger Tail and Pale Sky are now the children of Sun Shadow and Light Spots. They actually have 3 children! The other child is Shadow Fur, who is the spitting image of his father Sun Shadow aside from being basically blind (he can see light and shadows but that's about it, he isn't 100 percent blind but he ain't exactly getting a drivers license). He becomes Pebble Heart's apprentice because he is also Kitty Autism with a special interest in plants. All 3 are extremely popular in Shadowclan!
Light Spots is a pale brown tabby molly with white patches and green eyes, she has epilepsy and thrives in Shadowclan's nocturnal patrols that Bumble accidentally starts. Tiger Tail is a light brown tom with black stripes on his tail, and green eyes; Pale Sky is now a silver tabby molly with amber eyes, and Shadow Fur is pure black with yellow eyes just like dad.
