I'm always drawn to the reflection against the dark window of the subway tunnels. I can't dislodge my eyes from my very own gaze, lips moving to perfect words with shyness creeping in under my breath. I'm thinking of moments that provoke my senses to spill over but I don't let them. Too many people, bodies, smells, sights to let my overflow fall over the edge. I drag myself back into the song, let my eyes fall once more on myself, dark eyes going watery at the effort of not crying. Lights break up the image of myself, speed giving the illusion of movement, floating, an onslaught of going forward never back. I'm aching for a fuller repetition, of kisses uninterrupted by time or distance. I want to understand where we are going or why we choose just to stay. Here, in one place creating bounds and leveling out interlocked eyes inside one another...or at least that's how it feels inside my chest. I'm beginning to memorize the planes of your face, how your cheekbones dip and your jaw becomes the hallow and then your neck. I want to plant kisses there but you seem to constantly begin to pull away and give me reason and excuses, you see the feelings and worry for those around you, yet your eyes pool into mine, lingering blind as you ignore what I feel. I don't know where to go with that concept. The lights give out and my reflection stares back instead of you.

Hay veces que tu camino te toma inevitablemente, no importa que hagas, si tratas de ir contra el, tarde o temprano vas a regresar, no tiene sentido luchar contra el. Entiendo que es difícil darse cuenta que a veces lo que queremos no es lo que necesitamos, aunque suene como suene, es cierto, lamentablemente perdemos muchas cosas en el camino cuando va uno creciendo, tanto personas como cosas físicas que anhelabamos o amábamos tanto. También es una mezcla de varios factores, uno que podría mencionar es que nada es para siempre y todo se acaba, tarde o temprano, otro que podría mencionar es que realmente no tenemos fondo, siempre estamos buscando más y no nos detenemos a ver que lo que tenemos es muy bueno, y no estoy diciendo que con eso no te preocupes por tu futuro, si no que tenemos que vivir un poquito más el hoy y un poco menos el mañana, sin rayar en el libertinaje, la moderación es la clave, el balance lo es todo. Y bueno, piensa quien eres hoy y que eres, piensa quien quieres ser mañana y luego en diez años, y mientras pase el tiempo, recuerda ese día aunque todo lo demás haya cambiado, tu ser, tu individuo tiene que ser el mismo, nunca te pierdas a ti, todo es extra, excepto tu.
