(Hey, remember that post about cowboys and samurai existing at the same time?)
Starting off my return to this blog with a rough and sketchy design I drew in-between getting ready to move house. @strangegutz's Heartbreak Gulch art and ocs have been bringing me so much joy during a really stressful time so I wanted to join in and I thought it would be a fun time to dredge up an old overwatch oc I never ended up doing anything with!
Kōrō (or Kourou) is a sentient supercomputer made and once owned by Komainu Security. He was originally designed to manage security systems and was trusted with some of the companies biggest clients, which put him in the perfect position to carry out the biggest heist in the company's history. Really, the hardest thing to get out of there was, well, himself. Supercomputers aren't designed to be portable.
Kōrō currently has three bodies - his primary server, and two drone bodies which can walk and talk.
I'm not unhappy with this design but i'm also not happy with it. But that said, I was really drawing this to exorcise the idea and I'm happy I saw it through! If you don't follow Cricket please check out his blog, his art is so stylish and fun! Also the heartthrob with the nice hair belongs to him and you can see a lot more art of him over there!

semi-recent sketchbook spreads bc i am having so much fun 🥳 (top left is from 2019 (it’s my favorite spread in the entire book) and the other 3 are from the last couple months but they’re still in progress!)

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO BE KIND, MY NEIGHBOR...
It was easier to do this as a twitter thread, but hey, let's give it a shot here too.
It's been ONE WHOLE YEAR since my very first comic Be Kind, My Neighbor officially came out! INSANE! So, I would like to take the time to celebrate by making a funny little post.
First of all, I want to thank Silver Sprocket for taking a chance on me and publishing this niche crazy ass book. Y'all are such incredibly kind and cool people! I'm so happy to be working with y'all again on my next project, too.
Next, I want to thank everyone who read my comic... I've gotten so many sweet messages from y'all over the past year, and it warms my heart. Especially the messages from fellow trans folk who said they felt seen by my comic. You have no idea how happy that makes me!!
I ALSO want to thank all of you that made incredible fan-works this past year. I am FLOORED. Here is a selection of VERY special physical fanworks people gave me!

Making BKMN as my first comic was def a learning experience- drawing 496 pages in under 1.5 years... whoosh! I won't lie, I definitely rushed myself super hard! I felt like I was running up against an invisible clock! And it shows- but that's okay, I've learned for next time! I'll take my time with things!
I'm kind of rambling now... but YEAH! Thank you SO MUCH everyone, it's insane to me that y'all are still so avidly talking about it to this day. I love COMICS! I love MAKING COMICS. Can't wait for y'all to read my next one! PEACE!!
