A interesting comparison and differences………

So have you guys may be wondering something? Because I actually noticed something that I think many people find this comparison quite believable, and for good reasons. Because it also involves around a spin-off of the main show that’s set in an extended universe. Much like Helluva Boss. And that spin-off…….is Fear The Walking Dead. Now you guys may exactly asking “why or how is this comparison to two separated spin-off has notable similarities yet plenty of different things?????” When I answered that major question from you all, you’ll eventually understand.

Right off the bat, FTWD and HB has a similar problem/flaws when how comes to the later seasons as far as the writing, character, set pieces, etc. Especially with two common/noticeable problems between them…..among with explaining the different things to along with it.

Is how both show switch and just mostly focused on one or two characters, taking over the other important main characters purposes. Which is being Blitzo and Stolas, among with Morgan Jones. Hints how the fandom/community called both of them being “The Biltzo and Stolas Show” and “The Morgan Jones Show.”

Starting with Morgan Jones, his first appearances happened around the beginning of Season 4, set a few years later after Season 3 ended. And I can agreed that Morgan isn’t a good choice for a multitude of reason. But the main problem is how he doesn’t really do anything much or changed anything for the show beside just killing walkers and being insufferable despite being the new main protagonist after the story arc of the Clark family, whose purpose was to healed what was broken and helping other supporting characters, but his niceness and nobility is what kinda ruins him as one of the best characters from The Walking Dead universe. And this happened after since Travis death from Season 3, then Nick was killed during Season 4, Alicia was gone around the end of e Season 7, and Madison just….isn’t the same anymore. Because of that, he taking over for what could’ve been a potentially great new season for the Clark family after Season 3, if thing was different. But guess not. On the positive side, Morgan isn’t quite a terrible father nor a terrible leader. Since he still has a heart inside of him, still at time, deeply care towards the people surrounding him, and even tried his hardest to be a good father to his daughter, ever since he lost his own son….unlike with Blitzo and Stolas.

I’m just going to say this…..Blitzo and Stolas was two characters I used to enjoyed and ship a whole lot!!!!!! At first. They may seem like two fun characters who may be a bit of a gay horny couple and often at times, they would often used each other. But they do have moments where I felt them in between, was something I’ve never thought was that good….that is until Season 2 came, and their characterization is right I started to realize……they’re never a good character nor a good father, and most of the time, they both always appeared in almost every episode. And looking deeper. Really shows it all.

Like with Blitzo.

Although he can be hilarious at times and has a few moments that makes him stand out. Yet at the same time, he screw everything up and is a complete asshole. Especially how he treats Moxxie and even stalks him and Millie as well, despite the moment from Episode 6, Season 1. He still abuse the hell out of Moxxie, not to mentioned, taking advantage from Stolas, and most of all….neglectful to his love one/friends/colleagues. I get he has a tragic backstory, ever since Buck has never cared for him beside MONEYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! But just because there’s people who are asshole to you, doesn’t excuse the fact that you’re an asshole, abusive, and a neglectful imp who doesn’t let his own siblings nor colleagues just moved on and do their own things. But still been trying to have a relationship with his adopted daughter “Loona.”

Which perfectly leads to Stolas himself.

Stolas is not a good character and a good father. Straight away. He’s responsible for cheating on his own wife with a imp, leading into massive drama behind the Goetia family. It’s even possible Octavia has a good relationship with her father once when she was young, but as time’s goes on…eventually leading to her father relationships with Blitzo. But not for good reasons. Especially in one of the best episodes from Season 1, Episodes 2. It’s apparently cleared he only cared for himself but doesn’t cared about anything else, even if he tried to cheer his daughter up when taking her to Loo Loo Land. But it was around the same time when Stolas also invite, you guess it…..Blitzo! The same guys who he was falling in love and was cheating his wife. He only invited him….JUST TO BE HORNY TO HIM!!!!!!! Making him a complete fucking liar towards his own daughter about “needing security,” when you’re just having Blitzo to flirt with him…..the same can be said for Season 2, Episode 2 when he and Blitzo are trying to search for Octavia, after she accidentally ends up in LA. Yet, only for him TO JUST FLIRT ON BLIZTO INSTEAD OF BEING SERIOUS ON SEARCHING YOUR OWN DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Another biggest problem between both shows is how it moved away from the original concept that both of them should’ve focused on.

Both the concept of the spin-off has a lot of potential. Especially how Helluva Boss is meant to be an episodic show about three Imps and a Hellhound forming an assassin team known as the I.M.P that involved around teleporting to the human world, in order to assassinate their targets that’s responsible for doing horrible thing. While Fear The Walking Dead is a prequel to The Walking Dead, which is set around the beginning of the Undead Apocalypse. These ideas, again, sounds freaking awesome!!!!!!! But, that’s where another problem rises, because FTWD moved away from the concept as Season 4 came by and Morgan coming along for the ride. It just only become more like a midquel/sequel to The Walking Dead than an actual prequel and the writing just becomes ridiculous and abysmal. As for Helluva Boss, it should’ve been an episodic rather than a plot driven show, which resulted into a complete mess of too many recurring plots and characters, an confusing world-building, characters personalities being assassinated or completely downgraded, many plot holes, etc.

Conclusion. These show, despite so many issue and flaws that cannot be ignored. I still have a lot of fun watching them with some fun I can enjoyed from, especially with its entertainment value. But with Fear the Walking Dead finally getting closer to end in Season 8 as Morgan Jones is officially leaving in the end of the first half, to search for Rick Grimes. Leaving a bit of a nice sendoff to him, leaving the rest of the original cast of the characters to conclude the rest of the storyline. For it to come to the end. As far as the current state for both HH/HB “mostly HB,” it’s not looking good for how the fandom has become a divisive mess that argues with their opinions/criticisms, and especially how Vivziepop has become a mainstream definition of how not to be an amazing creator, she’s not a terrible person …but not a good person either. Even the way she responded to criticism, is not looking pretty for both her and the future of her animated shows. Even growing some concerned for Hazbin Hotel….still……….

We must wait and see. Sooner or later.

Thoughts on our episode oops:

This ones a lot stronger than i was expecting which is good!

- The beginning of the episode isnt quite my normal favorite beginning to an episode but it works for telling us fizz and ozzie are a couple and their actual dynamic which id say we needed screen time given to because its kind of an act (even though i liked the prior established idea fizz and Ozzies relationship might be that they find love gross despite being in a relationship bc its more about whats agreed upon to constitute it)

- Again i think itd really sell a theme to the episode if Ozzie didnt want to go with Fizz to get milk out of concern theyd be mistaken as a couple causing a part of the reason fizz gets into this mess

- i think Striker shouldve been kidnapped by Crimson who running out of men and money would rather kidnap and force an assassin to work for him or be killed than risk cutting his numbers down further after what Millie did. Especially bc arguably prior episodes have implied Striker is better at one on one fights and is easily overpowered when out numbered.

- Im not super on board with Striker pulling Fizz and Blitzo off the street so easily when if Fizz and Ozzie were a poorly kept secret whys it in the paper as proven and not a "shits hit the fan" moment? And hows he weaker than Bee when he's very clearly muscular? Maybe if Stiker was trying to grab Fizz's dogs especially the albino one recognizing them as Ozzies and therefore something hed pay a pretty penny for. Only to by chance pull up Blitzo and Fizz whos mistaken as Ozzies dog walker.

-okay so in backstory the fire is green. But then shouldnt he be bothered by said green fire in Loolooland and why didn't we see it in his trip?

-tbh shouldn't he possibly bc scared of horses too bc of this?

-"but you have no idea what i lost in that fire" blitzo says this like it was the start of his villain arc but personally? It just feel really insensitive to Fizz and unaware of the fact his pettiness to push someone caused this

-its really too bad barbie was scrapped from the scene bc if Blitzo walked off because he heard her scream and basically went to find hed only to catch as the tent burned down it would better justify him walking away from fizz than "trying to get help" which doesnt. Read as such.

-honestly too the fact blitz is implied to have killed people makes me think it wouldve worked better if perhaps fizz ans his mom were outliers but largely the issue was he put every one out of a job. Jobs that likely dont have very transferable skills. As they may have had the money to keep the circus going but never enough to replace everything lost in a moment like that. (Also a throw back to how hell doesnt have insurance)

-fizzs song is pretty good! With the music though i semi wish Look At This couldve been a song where Fizz is actually trying to fool Crim and his group into thinking Ozzie and Stolas have shown up especially because Fizz may not know much about fighting but he absolutely might know how to set a scene and inprovise. Maybe a bit akin to Make A Lot of Noise from the Toy Story musical.

-again wish Ozzies now offered to go with Fizz any time he leaves the house and Fizz (who went from saying he doesnt know how to fight to throwing a punch) says he can handle himself but hed love for them to go out together as a couple. Ozzie saying he doesnt need to leave the house and he'll have body guard everywhere with him reads too infatilizing and assuming Fizz as incompetent for my taste

- Salem did the concept art for this episode and the fact viv didnt credit them is really disappointing. If i can i would like to ask ppl be aware of that and maybe check those out bc they have every right to be proud of the work they did

Blitzo's half of 'learning about the deal' in Arrangement AU is... less pleasant. Stolas's part here.

Wordcount: 1025

Warnings: Cash is a little too crass when talking to Blitzo about what the deal entails, but otherwise sfw. Mentions of/implied future mpreg.

Blitzo was in his room when everything crashed down around him, fingers curled around a horse made of rubber bands and paper clips as he made her gallop over his bed.

“Boy!”

At his father’s voice, Blitzo looked up, hand tightening around Ruby. “Yes, Papa?”

“I’ve got something very, very special for you to do.” He was smiling, but his lips curled in a way that made Blitzo’s stomach churn.

“What’s that?”

“Do you remember the Goetia prince that came to the show a few days ago?”

Blitzo didn’t, but he nodded anyway. He’d heard someone say something about rearranging the seats, but the lights always made it hard to see the crowd- if he had seen him, it was just a blur. “Why?”

“Because they made an offer for you.” Cash stepped closer. “I might as well get some use out of you, after all, and it’s not the kind of thing you turn down.”

“An… offer?” Blitzo’s heart thudded triple-time as if he’d just finished a routine, instinctively pulling Ruby closer to his chest, squeezing the rubber like a stress ball and feeling one of the legs pop off. ”About what?”

“What do you think? They’re buying you to be the prince’s playmate- and eventually, his bitch.”

Blitzo had heard that word before, but it was definitely an insult, and he winced. “Papa, I don’t-”

“I already made the deal, so quit your yapping, alright? He said it’s because you were using those sparkles, they wanted to mate you off to pop out a few hybrid kids since you’ve got some rare magic from Mama’s side they want to breed back in.”

“I d-don’t know-”

“Every kid wants to live in a castle, right? Don’t be a little bitch already before they even slap a veil on your head, you're getting engaged and that's final.” Spindly but strong fingers grabbed Blitzo by the collar, yanking him off the bed. “If you screw this up for us…” He let the sentence linger, and Blitzo gulped, only barely touching the ground with the tips of his toes.

“...Yes, Papa.”

There was yelling from the other room. Mama didn’t yell all that often and Blitzo didn’t like hearing it, head buried under his pillow. (The clock had ticked a few hours, and visions of shadowy princes twice his size who could eat him whole smothered his thoughts like blood and ink, chains snapped on his ankles like they did to the animals and kids that misbehaved.)

The bed creaked, and Blitzo could tell it was Barbie from the scent of strawberry lotion.

“They’re really going at it.”

“Uh-huh.”

She whistled. “Sounds like somebody really wanted you.”

“I wish they didn’t,” Blitzo muttered.

“Aw, c’mon, living in a palace and getting to order people around to do stuff for you doesn’t sound that bad.” A small, warm hand settled on his back, starting to rub it. “You were just whining about people liking Fizz ’n me better, right?”

“Yeah, but that’s a crowd, not-” Blitzo cut himself off, sitting up and hugging the pillow to his chest after it fell off his head. “Papa said I just had to spread my legs and shut my mouth since they just want me for my guts.”

Barbie grimaced. “Okay, that sounds bad.”

“Exactly!” He groaned, face dropping into the pillow moments before the ‘door’ to their room was pushed to the side. Cash’s tail was swishing irritably, and he glared down at Blitzo before sucking in a breath and reaching for him.

“Come with me. They’re waiting.”

Barbie watched with wide eyes as he was pulled through the door before they turned the corner.

Cash had wrestled him into one of the nicer outfits that usually went to Fizz and thrown on an oversized bow tie that had been borrowed from one of the tightrope walkers- the unfamiliar fabric and too-tight knot only served to make Blitzo feel even more like a walking doll. It was only the fear of further punishment that kept him from dragging his feet in the dirt every step of the way up to the palace.

(It was big. Bigger than any building he’d ever seen before. Who knew what kind of people would live in a place that could house the entire circus ten times over?)

“Fuck, you got your pants all dirty already. I don’t know why they didn’t ask for your sister, but at least you’re the one I can afford to give up a few days a week before you get married off properly and they keep you permanently. Don’t cry, you’ll still be coming back home later, they just wanted to see you and weigh up the meat, alright?” He swiped a finger underneath Blitzo’s eyes, and the little imp had to blink a few times to get the sting of whiskey and dust out of them. “Head on straight, boy.”

Blitzo just nodded as they approached a fountain near the front door. A towering crowned and masked figure easily four times his size watched them, draped in a reddish-brown cloak rimmed in gold. His eyes had glowing red pupils floating in an ocean of black that made Blitzo gulp, hugging himself with only one arm in hopes it would make the tremble of his legs less obvious.

“Ah, there you are! Stolas, come meet your new fiancé.” The figure (a man, from the voice) looked down and held out an arm towards them, and Blitzo’s gaze dropped with him, to see-

A boy.

He couldn’t have been more than a year older than him, if that, and the wide eyes and flushed cheeks yanked at the knotted tangle in Blitzo’s chest, starting to unwind the worst of it. Blitzo cleared his throat.

“Hi, I’m-”

“Blitzo, right? I’m Stolas!” Stolas bounced forward, moving to bow when his father smacked him in the back of his head.

“Oh, don’t go getting mushy and acting like he’s equal to you already. He’s still an imp, just a useful one.”

Blitzo chewed on his lip before holding out his hand. “It’s… nice to meet you.”

Stolas recovered quickly, taking the hand and shaking it firmly. His hand was sweaty, but he was beaming, energy practically bursting from every little feather.

“It’s lovely to meet you too.”

Lost World AU

Inspired by a dream I had last night which was influenced by Jurrassic Park, King Kong, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Ten years ago a group of explorers and scientists seeking to study the geology of a recently discovered island, found that it had been inhabited by unusual animals, giant hybrid beasts. Dr. Edward Hamiliton, the head of the operation and a genius biologist began studying these creatures but merely to obtain knowledge. When some of his co-workers proposed using these creatures for military use or a form of profit, he refused. Insisting that these creatures be left in peace seeing them as living things, also he noticed that a lot of them were prone violence and savagery.

Unfortunately one co-worker decided to betray Dr. Hamiliton and began conducting his own experimants on the creatures while planning to sell them off as profit. But before he could carry out his plan, he was discovered by Dr. Hamiliton and one of his most loyal associates. The two destroyed his experiments and the enraged traitor killed the good doctor. As for the loyal associate, he was the only other person who knew where the doctor's notes were and when he refused to talk, he was never seen or heard from again. The rest of the group left the island under the belief that both men had been killed by the creatures.

Ten years later, Dr. Hamiliton's son Moxxie is facing financial trouble and is dangerously close to losing his house. He is contancted by his late father's collegues including Blitzo Walker his lawyer, Vox Perkins the computer programmer, Valentino Bodine a geneticis, Stolas Goetia the botanist, and Dominick Pentious the CEO. They inform Moxxie that his father discovered an unclaimed piece of land that he intended to turn into a theme park and they wish to finish his father's work by but can only do so with permission from Dr. Hamiliton or a close relative. They ask for Moxxie's permission in exchange for making him the owner of the park which will make him and his family more than financially stable.

Knowing nothing of the potential danger and desperate to keep his family from living on the streets, Moxxie agrees. He and a much larger group travels to the island with his wife Millie and their two kids Max and Maisie, Loona Blitzo's receptionist and adopted daughter, and three young, recently graduated scientists. Vaggie Ramírez a geologist, Angel Gianelli a technologist, and Charlie Morningstar a zoologist. Charlie in particular is espeically excited about this trip due to her great love of animals and her ability to empathize with them.

At first the entire group is amazed by the island and the creatures living there. But one night Charlie stumbles on to a recording of Dr. Hamiliton's voice, explaining the dangers of the island and his suspcions of treachery. She privately discloses this information to Moxxie who in turn decides to confront Blitzo about it. Blitzo swears that he knew nothing about this and was misinformed, they quietly make plans to leave the island and investegate this. Unfortunately the conversation is overheard and at night a giant serpent-lizard is lured to the campsite. The monster attacks and through the chaos, Max and Maisie are secretly abducted. But the ruckus alerts another predator, a terrfiying red stag abomination who fights off the serpent-lizard and carries off Charlie. The trip back is quickly delayed as most of the survivors focus on finding Charlie and the kids first.

The next morning, Charlie wakes up in a large den and quickly finds the kids tapped in a flipped over jeep where the driver (their kidnapper) was killed in the crash. She gets the kids out and the three of them try to find their way back to the campsite but the stag beast won't let them leave. Claiming that those people are dangerous traitors however he relents when Maisie cries for her mother. Now the four of them have to surivie the journey back while Charlie herself learns a few secrets about this "monster."

what are Greek traditional clothes? I actually have no idea about Greek traditions. can you tell me about it and your foods and stuff?

I would be happy to tell you about our culture!

firstly, clothes. a huge part of our clothing is scarves. scarves and shawls are one clothing item found in every greek woman and girl’s closet all over greece and the meditteranean. they are used in the cold, around your head and shoulders in the sun, pretty much all the time. they can also be found around the waist or draped over dresses and other casual clothes (really similar to a sari or lehenga). such scarves have names like pallas or chlamys. stolas are greek traditional female clothes. chitons are also greek traditional female clothes. girls also wear abayas, churidaars and children have similar clothes to pattu langa. greek and meditteranean clothing styles are very close in similarity to arabic and indian cultural clothes. greeks have wide pants lined with wire inside the fabric that go small at the ankles and are tied with ribbon in bright fabrics. we have plenty of grecian patterned clothes including waistcoats and shirts or blouses. we often have a tight top that ends above the stomach and then a matching long flowy skirt. a few pictures of greek clothing such as;

secondly, foods. we have all kinds of delicious things! honeyed loukoumádes, fasolakia, dolmathes, kourabiedes, bougatsa, loukoumi, galaktoboureko, hortopita, souvlaki, melomakarono, stofado, koulouri thessalonikis, moussaka, yemista, tiropita, milopita, baklava, kormos, lalaggia and so much more. we also love things like dips including our hummus, our tzatziki, and crackers, grapes, breads, olives, olive oil, cheeses, etc. I figured you could search these things to get an idea what they look or taste like but I attached a couple things anyway;

thirdly, traditions!! greece has a long thick history of carnivals and circuses (I myself come from a line of performers, in particular air performers like aerialists, high wire walkers, trapeze artists and acrobats, etc) and greece has plenty of those put on all throughout time. we celebrate namedays, and it is a custom to get engaged before getting married here. we celebrate Easter ofc and dye red eggs and have fun competitions to break them within family, and much more. we celebrate Christmas ofc. have you heard of the evil eye, that dark blue eye shaped thing with white, blue and black in the middle? I bet you didn’t know that was the mati, a symbol of protection that Greeks use (everyone uses them now without knowing they are greek and thinks it’s like their own little thing lol). we have ohi day, Greek Independence Day, and clean Monday. we believe that spitting chases evil away, lol. we have omens such as black cats and glass or mirrors breaking, hobgoblins, and unlike the western belief, Tuesday the thirteenth is our unlucky day rather than Friday. we have the expression piase kokkino (touch red) and you should search that. we have many more traditions that you should research (it’s important to know about other cultures). I would also point you to the website Greeka where you can ask any questions and look for any article about Greece that you need to know.

Anyways i saw the leak so heres my thoughts on it!

The beginning part is cute. I LOVE the fly dogs and wish they weren't forgotten about.

I think it would make more sense if Striker was kidnapped and brough to Crimson since he may want someone . If Crimson is running out of money and Striker is trying to get money those feel conflicting. So if he kidnapped Striker (believable since based on prior fights he seems to struggle the moment he's outnumbered.) And threatened to kill him if he failed it might give more reason to the circumstances. (And if we want Crimson alive perhaps he can't afford to kill Striker after IMP has cut down so many of his men)

Fizz and Ozzies relationship being the worst kept secret feels conflicting in a way esp if the news dropped just tofat. Like Fizz hides the newspaper (and how were they found out? Like wouldnt this be a problem?) So maybe itd help if Striker looked at that news article when being told he had to catch someone important and then moves it down where we get the shot of Fizz and Blitzø fighting. Indicating to us its Strikers lucky day because the news just broke this guy is someone Ozzie might shell out quite a bit of money for.

The backstory I didnt like the choppiness of admittedly. I hope we get a more in depth one that gives especially Fizz's backstory more time to hit.

That or maybe he tries to steal Ozzies dogs (presuming Fizz to be his dog walker and because Fizz is still holding the leashes and in a fight with Blitzø theyre both pulled up with them?).

Their resolution feels like it was missing the issue. It wasnt just that Blitzo ruined Fizz's life its that he actively walked away when Fizz was severely injured. And Blitzø's "i lost something too" thing feels like its talking down to Fizz as though he wasnt there and close to Blitzøs family. I think maybe itd work if they made each other feel bad in a way that makes each of them reconsider their view of one another like:

Fizz: You hated that I was better than you so you decided to take it all away from me!

Blitzo: It was an accident!

Fizz: Oh boo hoo. Do you want a participation medal or something.

Blitzø then grabs Fizz's shirt both with tears in his eyes and seething with anger. " I lost things that day too Fizz! Where do you think this scar came from?"

Then we get Blitzos flashback and perhaps they dont bond over "nobody told me you came to visit!" (Which why is that tossed aside and why is nothing gonna be done to keep it from happening?) But instead misjudging each other and assuming.

Speaking of that since fire seems to be different colors based on rings, if that fire isnt visually different im gonna struggle to buy Blitzø not at minimum being afraid of human fire based on appearance because this:

Doesn't help. Unless wrath fire looks similar to human fire, (meaning because Wrath is orange Blitzo should presumably be scared based on appearances.) It also would bring to question isnt the point of the fire breathing trick the danger?

I could see this being a intended swap out. That they use human fire in shows bc it looks like wrath fire to minimize injury. But this means assumably the fire from the birthday cake shouldnt be green orange or blue (colors IIRC we saw and Blitzo wasnt bothered by) its not going against canon yet. The fire color will determine that.

Btw if Stolas loves words and reading contracts youd think he'd remember a spell from his book.

Next i hope Fizz's song sounds better in the show. It wasnt bad! Admittedly tho i wish they played into Crimsons men falling into the song because I can follow Crimson and Striker confused but everyone just standing their confused i feel drags down the scene a bit. A lot of the time moments like these work well if the people watching get into the song in a way where the rug is pulled out from under them when the song ends. For examples:

You're Welcome from Moans.

Just Can't Wait to be King from The Lion King

And arguably the I Have a Dream song from Tangled.

Now as for the end my main thing is Ozzies "youll never leave the palace without protection again" before Fizz even expresses being afraid feels infantilizing. I think it overall wouldve worked better if Ozzie sent Fizz to get milk alone because he doesn't want them seen together in a domestic context.

So by the end Ozzie says he'll never let Fizz go anywhere protection to which Fizz responds that he can handle himself (he and Blitzo did work together to get out of there) but he'd love if they went places as a couple.

Ill prob do a rewrite in the future but for now I wanna see how the final product ends up before i go into that!
