Being guildmaster is something he takes great pride in, although he knows he is only so good at it because he has the support of people like Rogue and Minerva

He already finds it very hard to concentrate on paperwork when there are so many cool things out there and his guild is having fun partying or relaxing in their new pool

Which is how he would end up holed up in his office desperately trying to get himself to concentrate on the task at hand.

Digging himself out of all the backed-up paperwork that hadn’t been deemed important enough to be a same day issue.

Funny that those projects and paperwork which wasn’t really needing to be dealt with for another two-three weeks suddenly were all due at once

Rogue had been tasked (by Minerva) with letting the guild members know he was not to be disturbed for anything, even the guild burning down (Rogue could handle that without Sting's help). 

The members were on their best behavior too! Trying so hard not to disturb but to also be helpful, like delivering the finished mail for him, or leaving snacks at the door with a tiny knock. (I think they forget about his sharpened senses because yes Orga he sees and smells you hiding behind that thin ass pillar at the other end of the hall) 

Sting feels even more determined with all of them being so kind and helpful to him, especially you

Your willingness to sit beside him and carefully help sort the paperwork, file it away or arrange it to be sent out in the mail was making this process so much faster. He could tell you had teamed up with Minerva to find out exactly what she as financial and aid needed from him because before she could do it you were already guiding Sting to the next document she needed him to address

Thus after three days with late nights and early mornings the end was nearly in sight

The budget for the festival was making his eyes swim as he tried to allot the right amounts where, and Minerva herself had stepped out to take care of a time sensitive task for him when your “help” suddenly became “hindering”

“I am working babe” He would whine and pout a bit trying to ignore you sitting on his desk and moving in closer to him, a tactic that normally had him jumping into your arms or pulling you into his lap with a laugh

Sting was such a good boyfriend he always put your needs first whenever he could, and that included entertainment or cuddles…yet another reason he may have fallen a bit behind because even after your needs were met he overindulged himself in spoiling you

Your pout and little cooes and pleas for just a few minutes made him whine louder looking distraught

How could you do this to him? Puppy pout when he was trying his best to be good and do everything so he could in fact indulge himself all he wanted in your magnificent presence? 

Did you wear his clothes too knowing how that made him melt even more for you? This had to be a plot, you waited until Minerva and Rogue had stepped away to pull this.

“Please?” He would whimper and beg, eyeing you desperately wanting nothing more than to tackle you for cuddles and a nap, or some kisses “I just have a bit more, I need to…just a bit longer…” 

It was his downfall, the minute his eyes glanced at your lips he knew it was over

Crashing your lips together in an exhausted but needy kiss Sting was quickly falling into your trap

Looping his arms around your waist, hugging you as he leaned up out of his seat to reach your lips for the kisses he’d been longing for. 

Sting's exhaustion would hit him all at once and despite kissing you like a man who would drown without air, his body went slack leaning against you to stay up. Sunken eyes closing as he surrendered to the bliss of your taste

Minerva would be fuming when she came back but right now he just needed to lean into you as you sat on his desk before him and steal as many kisses as he could before falling asleep

Her anger would melt though when she saw only a few small things left, and the soft way you were stroking his hair as he used your lap as a pillow

Maybe a small nap couldn’t hurt, she could also maybe use one

Sure enough, Sting did still finish his paperwork that night

Lastly, he made sure to pay you back for interrupting and distracting him like that too ;)

From that day on Sting however, would request your kisses as a reward and a “rejuvenating spell” whenever he needed to do paperwork

Though skeptical of the method Minerva and Rogue were both relieved that paperwork never truly piled up anymore they guess they could say it’s “working”

                                                  ~5 Years Ago~    Growing up was rough in the Aquila Tribe. You trained daily with La Sirene, learning your water dragon slayer magic, until that one fateful day.    Nidhoggr showed up, slaying everyone you knew. You had trained for this day, but when the time came to prove yourself, you got scared and ran into the woods. With the tears brimming at your eyes, you could hardly see. In fact, your vision was so blurry that you ran into a blonde man.    Due to the adrenaline running through your veins, the force you rammed into him with was enough to knock him off his feet.    "Sorry about that," you said, rubbing the back of your head.    "It's fine," he replied, brushing the dirt off his pants and standing up. "but what the hell happened over there? And who are you?"    "My name is (y/n), and-" you began to choke up, memories of what had just happened flooding back into your mind. "My... my family." You couldn't hold it in anymore, the tears poured down your cheeks.    He immediately pulled you closer. "Shhh (y/n) it's going to be okay," he said, wrapping his muscular arms around your back. "I'm gonna take you to somewhere safe. My grandfather is the guild master several miles north of here. We will help you, I promise."    With those words, several huge sobs escaped your lips. Later that day, you discovered that the person who was there for you in the woods was none other than Laxus Dreyar.                                                         ~1 year ago~     Within the next year, you two were an item, but you still didn't feel 100% at home in the guild. The relationship was great... until he got excommunicated.    You decided to stay at fairy tail for the time being, even though you weren't an official member. Eventually, though, everyone in the guild began to remind you of little bits of Laxus and you couldn't take it.    It was a rainy day when you ran to his doorstep. You rapped your knuckles on the door softly, waiting for the blonde to answer and invite you in.    "Hey (y/n), I was wondering when you were gonna come see me. Hell, I started thinking about moving on. Distance only ever hurts relationships, but I knew you would pick me over the guild. I saved you after all. Come on in."    "Actually Laxus, I think I'm going to stay out here. I like the rain, so long as there isn't any lightning. You started to move on? I was never going to pick you. You've really become a dick. It's over. I don't want to see you, or anyone else in the guild ever again." With that, you turned away from him and began to run.    Before you could make it too far down the street, a bolt of lightning hit the ground a few feet in front of you. "(Y/n) wait!" Laxus was now approaching you.    "I just told you, it's over. Accept it and move on. You were already thinking about it anyway," you retorted, pivoting to direct your body towards your apartment. Before you could get far, he grabbed your arm.    "Let go of me!" you screamed, sending a wave of water directly up his nose. He let go, coughing up water. Luckily this gave you the chance to escape, and your place was only a few blocks away.    Once you reached the door, tears of frustration burned as they streamed down your face. You haven't used your magic since the day you lost your tribe, and you were angrier than ever for using it against someone who means nothing to you. You began to pack all of your belongings into a duffel bag, leaving a note for the landlord, and a second for the guild. Finally satisfied with both, you picked up your bag and left your humble abode, kissing the building, the streets, the city goodbye.

                                                    ~Present Day~    You have been searching for a new guild to join for what seemed like a year now. Picking up odd jobs here and there was enough to cover the bare necessities.    Luckily, you had finished a big task today and were rewarded well. You decided to go to the bar to celebrate. As you entered the door, you made eye contact with none other than Laxus.    You rolled your eyes, determined to not let his presence bother you. You are here to reward yourself and have fun. Quickly making your way to the bar, you noticed a very attractive man sitting next to the only open seat. He had blonde hair and striking dark blue eyes.    Sitting down, you got the attention of the bartender. "Can I get three yuzushu on the rocks please?" you asked sweetly.    "Are those for a group of friends, or are you just having a rough day?" The blonde stranger asked.    "Rough day I guess..." you mumbled, chugging the first one as soon as it was set in front of you.    Upon receiving the second one, you slid it over to the attractive male. "Thanks. The name's Sting. And you?"    "(y/n)," you said as the third drink was set down. "I promise I'm not normally like this, it's just-"    "You don't need to explain yourself. It's a bar. We're all here to drink." He replied, flashing his beautiful smile before you had the chance to say more.    "That guild mark... You're from Sabertooth right?" you asked, glancing at the white stamp on his left shoulder.    "Good eye. Normally I'd drink at the guildhall, but I had a feeling I should be here for some reason tonight. Guess I know why now." He said, visibly looking you up and down.    Blushing, you turned back to your drink and downed a third of it, tasting the fruit. "I-is it true that this is karaoke night?" you asked, trying to change the subject before you made a fool of yourself.    "Yes it is, and it looks like the first person is about to start. Wanna move closer?"    "As long as you dance with me!" you replied, picking up your drink and standing up.    The two of you made your way over to the couches by the stage. Setting your glass down, you turned to him. You haven't talked to anyone since Laxus romantically, and have only been in that one relationship. Should you make the first move? Rock music came over the speakers and Laxus began to sing into the mic.    "My ex is over there. Can you kiss me?" You asked before you could tell yourself that it was an unreasonable request. You had just met this man ten minutes ago, and now you were asking to kiss him? And what for? To make Laxus jealous? No. To show Laxus what he will never have.    Before you could take back what you said, his soft lips crashed into yours. A soft light illuminated his body, and there was an orb of water floating above you. You ran your hands through his soft hair and he grabbed your neck, pulling you closer. His tongue flicked against your lips, asking for entrance. You granted, easily giving into him. You could taste the yuzushu in his mouth, which only made you want him more. You fought for dominance, but he wasn't giving up. He pushed you onto the couch, and you slowed down the kiss, unable to breathe.    Pulling away, you realized there wasn't any more singing. Scanning the room, you heard the jingle of the door as it closed behind the person you will now never see again.

You two were lost- whether you wanted to admit it or not. You had no idea which direction was which, and a large storm was coming in. To top it all off, you were stuck with a certain blonde dragon slayer, and he was no help at all. 

“Sting!” Currently, the said dragon slayer kept wandering off out of boredom when you two agreed on searching for some shelter before the rain clouds rolled in. 

“The fuck are you doing?” Sting sighed and walked over to you. 

“Having no clue which ways north and which ways south doesn’t mean we still don’t have a job to do.” 

Oh right- the job. You and Sting actually ended up taking the exact same job and decided to team up and split the reward. It was your usual- group of bandits causing chaos and terrorizing towns, and you two had to take them down. 

“Do you know where we are? Mr. Enhanced senses.” You asked, starting started to get frustrated with the situation. 

“No idea.”

Great. 

You looked at the sky- the dark grey clouds were now above you both, and it was going to pour on you two any minute. 

“We should get going,” Sting asked, following your eyes. 

“Yep.” 

Cue to you both now sprinting through the pouring rain and thunder, seeking any sort of shelter. 

Sting had his hand wrapped around your arm, also dragging you at how fast he was, “Sting, slow down, I can’t keep up!” you shouted, but he ignored you and stayed at the same speed. 

“Sting!” 

“Sting!”

“Sting, I asked you to fucking slow down!” You stopped running cause you to fall on your ass. 

“We gotta get outta here!” He shouted, pulling you up. Sting started to drag you again, but you ripped his hand off your arm.

“You don’t need to drag me!” 

“Fine, I’ll carry you!” 

“No!” You walked past him, but he grabbed you by your arm, pulling you closer to him. Pausing for a moment- it felt like the rain slowly went away. The distance between you both was almost non-existent, feeling his breath lightly against your cheeks. Bringing yourself back to reality, you pushed him away and started to walk. 

“Let’s go, and I can run on my own this time.” 

The two of you again sprinted for shelter- quickly shaking off that moment. Sting was faster than you, but you managed you stick behind him. 

“Hey, over there!” Sting shouted, spotting a cave up ahead. Unfortunately, the storm was only getting worse, so you both ran as fast as you could to hide underneath the rocks. 

“I don’t think I have ever run that much,” you say, completely out of breath. Sting pushed his wet blonde locks out of his face and nodded in agreement. 

“We gotta make a fire.” 

“How? Everything is wet.”

 The two of you looked around the cave. After a few minutes, you noticed a few dry pieces of wood hidden in the back.

“Sting, there is some wood back here!” You called out grabbed larger pieces out to build the fire pit. 

You began to build a teepee shape with the pieces of wood while Sting grabbed the rest of the materials necessary.

“You know how to build a fire?” He asked. 

“Yeah, grab two rocks with sharp edges.” You asked, ripping off small pieces of bark and placing them underneath. 

Sting followed your instructions, giving you two rocks with sharp edges. You began to quickly rub them together in order to create a spark so the pieces of bark would catch fire. Eventually, the pieces of bark caught, and heat slowly arose from the wood. 

Sitting next to the fire, you let out a sigh of relief as your body started to heat up again. 

“Sting.” You mumbled, a wave of tiredness began to hit you like a truck.

“Yes?”

“Remind me to never go on a job with you again.”

“Wh-” Sting was about to argue, but suddenly he felt your body sink into his as you fell asleep. Sting sighed and wrapped his arm around your shoulders, letting your weight fall onto him even more. 

The blonde placed a kiss on the top of your head and laid his on yours. “Can’t believe you’re sleeping on the job Y/n.” He mumbled, joining you in your peaceful sleep. 

After you, two woke up and the storm finally passed, revealing a beautiful blue sky, your job was completely forgotten about…

A/N: I have a huge soft spot for Sting. He really gives me like chaos but also cuddly vibes? Idk I just really think he’s great lol. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this short but sweet read! Requests are open and as always love to all!

Prompt: Person A has had a horrible day and is in the worst mood possible. When they see Person B, Person A says, "Don't do it. Don't you dare do it," and all Person B has to do is smile and Person A can't help but smile back because of how much they love Person B and their stupid smile.

Your POV     I make my way over to the bar and plop down as I ask Yukino for a drink. She wanders off to retrieve my requested beverage just as Rogue, Rufus, and Orga join me. Noticing that I seem gloomy, Rufus and Orga attempt to make me laugh but only end up bickering between themselves. Rogue shakes his head at the two as he looks to me, “He’s in his office if you want to go see him. While you’re in there maybe you can convince him to do some of his paperwork.” I say nothing and instead take a sip of my drink once Yukino places it in front of me and thank her. I stay seated there for a good while, so long in fact that Rufus and Orga get bored and wander off soon followed by Rogue who claims he needs to go check on something.  

    I stew in my horrible mood and bathe in the comforting sound of the chattering of the Guild. The smell of Yukino’s famous bread baking wafts throughout the Guild Hall as well. Even these hints of being at home, in this Guild, do very little to lift my mood. Just as I’m finishing my drink, I feel a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind me. A comforting weight lays itself against my back and I let out a breath of relief as my favorite voice makes its way to my ears, “Rogue said you seem like you’ve had a shit day.”

    I shrug and feel the weight and arms leave me as the man behind me spins me around on my stool to face him. I avoid all eye contact or even glances at Sting’s face as I am not quite ready to let my sour mood go. However, he’s not having it. He gently tugs my chin up with his thumb so that I am looking at him. His face is blank but even when he tries, the small glints of mischief in his eyes neglect to hide away. I sigh but keep my eyes trained on him as he silently requested, “Don’t do it. Don’t you dare do it,” I mumble through a pout. Despite my plea, a bright smile cracks its way across my handsome boyfriend’s face. I sigh and can’t help but smile back.  

    “There we go. There’s that smile that I love,” he cheers as he wraps me into a tight comforting hug, “I’m sorry you had a bad day. Do you want to come tell me about it while I work on catching up on paperwork? It’ll make the time go by quicker.” I nod against his chest so he releases me and I slide off the bar stool to follow him to his office. Once the door shuts behind us, he plops down in his chair at his desk behind a mountain of paperwork and I hop up to sit on a spot of the desk that isn’t covered in papers. I begin telling him about my day as I pick up a stack of papers, read over them, and then hand them to him as I pause to explain what it is so he knows what to do.  

    This isn’t the first time that I’ve helped him with paperwork and it won’t be the last. I enjoy helping him, especially on days that I feel awful because it makes me feel like I’ve done something productive. I repeat the cycle and the two of us settle into a good rhythm. Before long, we’ve gotten a great deal of the paperwork done and it’s time to head home. I’m in a tremendously better mood than when I came here this morning and it’s all thanks to my bright ray of sunshine name Sting.

(Here you go Pie anon! I’m so so sorry this took so long >_

You sighedas you looked into the mirror for about the tenth time that morning. Eyestrailing over your hair, face and outfit, you once again checked that you werelooking appropriate for the occasion. This day would surely be one you wouldremember for a while; after all, you were only a couple of minutes away fromgoing on your first date with your new boyfriend, Sting Eucliffe. You’d had acrush on the dragon slayer for a long time, and just last week he’d asked youout. A blush rose across your cheeks as you remembered the moment.

A knock atyour door drew you into the present. Taking a deep breath and steadyingyourself, you walked over to the door, unlocking it to reveal the famous dragon slayer. He wore a causal smile, though his eyes widened as he took inyour appearance.

“Woah (y/n),you er… You look good… really good… I mean…” He trailed off and leaned against thedoorway, scratching his neck awkwardly.

“Thanks,”you said with a bright smile, “you don’t look too bad yourself.”

Sting’s smile widened slightly.

“Anyway are you ready to go?” He asked.

“Yup,” You replied. “But where’s Lector, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen you without him?”

“Oh, he’s spending the day with Frosch and Rogue. It’s just you and me today.” He extended a gloved hand towards you. “Come on, let’s go!” 

You took his hand firmly and followed him as he lead you out of your home, with you only pausing briefly to lock to the door. 

“So where are we going exactly?”

“You’ll see,” Sting replied, squeezing your hand.

He guided you down various bustling streets before youreached a bright but quaint little storefront. It seemed perfectly nice but it didn’tstrike you as the sort of place Sting would want to go to.

“Here?”

“Nah, just wait here a sec.” With that, the dragon slayerleft you standing outside the store. A few minutes later he reappeared, onlynow he was accompanied by what appeared to be a picnic hamper.

“Okay let’s go!” He grasped your hand again and once again ledthe way with a confident smile.

 The two of you walked out of the built up area that surrounded your home and soon you were walking through idyllic countryside. When you finally came to a stop, you were standing at the edge of a beautiful meadow. Therewere wildflowers of all different shapes and colors scattered among thevibrant green grass. The sun was high in the sky, illuminating the landscapewith its radiance while providing you with a pleasant degree of warmth. In the horizonyou could see the snow-capped peaks of mountains that rose up just past the faredge of the meadow.

“It’s beautiful,” you said as you admired the view.

“It seemed like the sort of place you’d like.” Sting had aproud smile on his lips as he took in your awed expression. He sat down on thegrass and you quickly joined him. Placing the picnic hamper between the two ofyou, Sting opened it up to reveal a number of your favorite foods. You bothwasted no time in reaching for the contents of the hamper, all the while conversingabout various topics that interested you. Once all the food was finished, the pair of you lay back and looked atthe sky, basking in each other’s company.

Sting walked you back to your home after a thoroughlyenjoyable day. You reached your destination only to pause before going inside.

“Sting, thanks for today, I had a really great time,” Yousaid with a smile on your lips.

“Heh, no problem, I’ll make sure it’s even better next time,”He replied. “It’s not quite over yet though.” After those words left his mouth,he placed one of his hands on your waist and used the other to cup your face,bringing your lips to meet his. The kiss was warm, but slightly too overzealousto be gentle. You felt pleasant heat as a blush dusted your cheeks. All toosoon Sting pulled away.

“I’d better get back to the guild hall; I’ll see you soon(y/n).”
