SKIING SEASON OPENING – SPINDLERUV MLYN – 08.12.2018

The biggest Czech skiing resort in Spindleruv Mlyn will open its season during the second December weekend. You will get a chance to ski for the special price and enjoy the fun. Concerts, snow show, and movie projection will be ready for all the visitors. Let´s hope that there will be enough snow.

My skis are ready to start to carve the curves on the white snowy hills of the biggest Czech mountains Krkonose.

BIATHLON WORLD CUP – NOVE MESTO NA MORAVE, VYSOCINA REGION – 19.12. – 23.12.2018

More than 30000 spectators from over the world. More than 200 competitors on the skis with the rifle on their back. Unforgettable winter atmosphere, howling crowds. This is how I remember one day in Vysocina Arena in Nove Město na Morave in 2015. And this year again, just before Christmas, you can come and enjoy it with us. Come to support the athletes from your country and those from the Czech Republic mainly. Check the program on the OFFICIAL WEBSITE. Tickets are still available.

Due to the success of the Czech team in the last few years, this winter sport combining the cross-country skiing and the rifle shooting is the most popular one in the Czech Republic. Our athletes have won the medals from the Olympic games and the World Championship as well. Therefore we are so proud of them. Nove Mesto is easily accessible. It will take you to get there only one and half hour from Prague through the highway.

FLOORBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – PRAGUE – 01.12. – 09.12.2018

The Czech Republic is hosting the special floorball occasion at the beginning of December. Sixteen teams from over the world will meet in Prague to fight for the world champion title. You can bet that both arenas, 02 Arena and Arena Podivny Mlyn, will be full of the spectators during all the matches. The reason is pretty clear. Czechs are really good at this sport. Not so good as Sweden or Finland, but the Czech team will definitely try to win this event for the first time in history.

If you want to see it on your own, check the programme of the floorball championship HERE. The final matches will take place on Sunday 9th of December at 02 Arena in Prague.

FILMASIA – FESTIVAL OF ASIAN FILMS – CINEMAS LUCERNA & PONREPO, PRAGUE – 06.12. – 09.12.2018

The 14th edition of this movie festival has a theme „film and book“ this year. Movies from China and Korea will introduce well-known books in the movie adaptation. Visitors won’t just get film screenings but also discussions with professionals whose relationship with the source material is especially intimate.

NEW YEAR´S EVE – PRAGUE – 31.12.2018

If you are going to celebrate the end of the year in Prague, you can enjoy it in several different ways. To stay in some pub or discotheque, you should surely book the place in advance.

If you want to stay and celebrate with other people in the streets, I would recommend going to Vltava riverbank close to Charles Bridge. You will have a good view with a panorama of Prague castle. And if you prefer the crowds, the Wenceslas Square or the Old Town Square is the right place for you.
