I've been thinking a lot about a Peter who is just absolutely starved of affection. May isn't around a lot. When she is, she's too tired - from work, from trying to repay the debts she owns, from trying to keep Peter on the straight and narrow - to really give him that care that he needs so desperately. Maybe they move around a lot, preventing Peter from making friends his own age. And so, Peter finds affection elsewhere.

Quentin Beck came as an unannounced savior. He's so sweet for Peter, so kind. Their interests tend to overlap, and even when they don't he doesn't mind listening to Peter ramble about whatever it is that he's excited about this time. It's innocent at first. Peter sees him as a friend, the only friend he has. When Quentin starts complimenting him, on Peter's smile, how soft his hair looks, how pretty and long his legs are, and how beautiful his moans must sound, Peter just smiles and nods along. He ignores the pit of wrong wrong wrong wrong that forms in his stomach.

Quintin gets more and more possessive. Talking about how Peter is his, and his alone. Peter walks home with a boy from school one day - just a friend, nothing more - and is rewarded by being called a "disgusting, two-timing slut" by Quentin. Peter doesn't know what to do. He's grateful for Quentin, he truly is, but he can't shake the feeling that he should be scared of the older man.

Maybe Peter's resolve breaks one day after another tirage of abusive words from the person who's supposed to be his friend and decides that he needs to do something. He goes to the police and explains his situation to the kind officer that's assigned to him - knowing that Quentin would kill him for speaking negatively of him, let alone to the police. Peter's attempt is in vain. Quentin hasn't hurt him, not in any way that counts according to the law, and since Quentin hasn't touched him in any way that's inappropriate either, there's nothing that the police can do for him.

Not officially, at least, is what the officer tells him later that night - having taken it on himself to secretly take Peter's address from the database at the station. But just because the police cannot help him doesn't mean that Officer Stark will not do everything he possibly can to keep Peter safe.

And Peter? Well, he's just so grateful.

Tony keeps trying to scare Peter off by telling him all the kinky shit he wants to do to him. This keeps having the opposite effect and driving Peter to unbearably horny. He has never really thought about about doing that kind of stuff, especially not with Mr. Stark, who he thought he would be lucky to get to sleep with once. But listening to what he wants to do to him, it all sounds so... thrilling? Exciting? Overwhelming? And everything Tony has done so far has been nothing less than fantastic.

(Tony is partially lying to himself about why he keeps doing it. He knows enough about how to read his partner's body language during sex to have felt out the shape of Peter's buttons. He knows that what he's saying is probably going to turn Peter into flushed mess that is literally begging for his cock, but this is his way of dancing on the line. He's not throwing the baby in the deep end, but he still gets to talk about it, think about it. And if he does scare the kid off, well that just solves the problem of how he's going to make himself stop. He won't have to, Peter will pull the plug on whatever it is that they're getting themselves into.)

Starker!Portal AU where FRIDAY uploads Tony's conscious into the building/an AI he was creating/a robot because he was dying and she was trying to save him by any means necessary.

And it works! He is alive! Just. As an AI.

Unfortunately, AI's don't have human rights so SI ends up changing hands to a certain Cave Johnson and Tony ends up in charge of - and addicted to - testing the .. test subjects.

SI, now known as Aperture Science, does not particularily care about things like "being osha compliant" or "work safety" or "morals and human rights".

Tony tries his best, but, well. He dosen't actually have that much access. FRIDAY tried to save them - and the test subjects - first and he really dosen't want to face her fate. He dosen't give up, but he does decide that the long game is the way to go about it.

Cue the Apocalypse. Which. Hm. It does get rid of all the horrible people here, but it also kind of killed everyone else, so. Ya know. You win some, you lose some.

But! Fortunately! One test subject survived: Peter Parker.

He's the best. He figured out the portals so quickly and he does the test's so fast, Tony can hardly keep up production and he actually talks to him and he's so funny and cute and-

Well. Outside is just wasteland, anyways. So it's for the best for both of them if Peter stays right where he is; in Tony's Test Center, where Tony can see and control everything. Forever. No need to leave (at all, ever).

Now if only he could convince Peter to burn that damn companion cube..

I just saw scott pilgrim fanart and anytime anything makes me remember Scott Pilgrim my brain goes into overdrive about how bad the movie was for the story, actually.

Great movie it deserved to be successful but hooooooooly shit they just removed like, every actual part of Scott figuring out his problems and confronting them and trying to be a better person. Scott Pilgrim is one of those top-tier "shitty dudes idolize him for entirely wrong reasons" but unlike Tyler Durden or Tony Montana or whatever it's not that the deconstruction fundamentally fails to target the object of deconstruction, it's literally just what the movie shows.
