Sprigg just showed up and I'm obsessed

There's a lot of great scenes, moments, and guests that I hope we get animated. But, as a first time watcher of the campaign, one that I hope we get more than anything is Sprigg.
I don't know if the show will last that long (though I hope it does), but I really want to see him animated. His introduction, his humor, the way he calls out the team while also encouraging them, all the way to his farewell...
In a way, his goodbye felt like watching the Doctor regenerate. The knowledge he passed on, the encouragement and advice he gave, the reminder to just 𝘉𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺... It felt like saying goodbye to an old friend and hoping that you'll meet again someday.
I love Zahra and Kash and Ker, but I think Sprigg is my favorite guest. The way he fit with the group so quickly, just everything about him felt comforting. Even his little arguments with his Imp friend, it just felt so... So real. And for a few moments, I forgot I was watching a bunch of people playing DnD and I was there. I could see the cottage and the fight, I could see the vast bookshelves of Ioun, and I could see his farewell as clear as if I was watching a movie. And of course this is partly Matt's world building, but I truly think that there was something special about Sprigg. Whether it was the story behind the character he started 37 years before and got to close now, or just the acting itself. I don't know.
All I know is I feel like Sprigg, seeing him come to life on screen, from his little cottage to the vast libraries of the Knowing Mistress... That's something that I think could genuinely help a lot of people.

I'm twenty minutes into CR Guest Battle Royale and so far Sam made an off-brand Tary who looks like Caesar Flickerman in a Hunger Games parody with the vibe of villain/hero superbowl (it's on youtube, you should watch it).
I'm living for this shit.

Keyleth: Everything in my life seems to have this impermanence factor about it. So I hope [Sprigg]'s not something that can be used and discarded.
Sprigg: I haven't been used in 37 years.
Keyleth: Sprigg.
Sprigg: It's all right. At least I wasn't discarded all that time. Look. Look at me. Just remember. Whatever happens, remember me. That's all that's important. That's all that we have. My friends are gone and I don't even remember their names. I don't remember Thetapax or Zephyr or... the guy with the nose. He was my favourite.
Sprigg, *sniffling*: Dusty in here, isn't it? I remember. I remember. See? It's all up here. So whatever happens, keep me there. All right?
Keyleth, looging at Vax: I guess I have to start getting used to losing things.
Sprigg: Yes. Or you can be hidden away in a prison for 37 years. And that's not life, child. That's hiding. Don't hide.
Keyleth: I've already built my own prison. They don't know. I'm already there.
Sprigg: You can break out. You can. It's hard. But you can do it. Just take the first step. And then you take another one. And then you take another one.

Taking someone's cigarette out of their mouth: Multiple meanings - used a lot in media to convey control, power play, very masculine, I'm your boss and this is mine now, get over it. Mildly flirty, look at me, all in your space and shit, seductive. You're not allowed to smoke, because I say so.
Putting the cigarette back in their mouth afterwards: Ground-breaking. Would be less erotic to just fuck honestly. Who does this?
