I'm curious to know your opinion of SPN 11X15, Beyond The Mat. Do you think it was a good episode? As a wrestling fan, do you think it accurately portrayed the sport? I thought it was an okay episode, but since I don't know a whole lot about wrestling, I was wondering what an actual fan thought about it.

Hey!!!

Ok so it took me a few to remember that episode because that year was a bit of a blur for me.

Lot of health issues and stuff going on.

Anyway, I think it had the right feel for small/tame promotion wrestling.

And by tame no blood and guts lol. I mean when I was little I was left behind while my mom and brother went to the Corpus Christi Coliseum and watched The Iron Shiek nearly tear a man's ear off with the back of a hammer.

That was 80s/90s wrestling lol

To me it has the overall feel and excitement of what a fan experiences when they see their favorite wrestlers. I've yet to go to a live show but if I were to be there I'd pretty much act like how Sam and Dean were lol

Also interesting tidbit WWE Star The Miz is also in the episode. I'm not as big on WWE as I am on AEW wrestling but I know he's in this one lol

Also another tidbit The Elite(AEW group) has Carry On as their entrance music and I was totally hoping when they did shows in Austin that Jared or both Jared and Jensen would have been there since Kenny Omega is a Supernatural fan.

Edit: here's their entrance, there is pyro and flashing lights so heads up.

I just watched "Beyond the Mat" today, and they really paralleled Sam's worship of Rio --- having her poster up above his bed, finding her attractive... I'm forgetting something... OH, YEAH, CALLING HER HIS FIRST CRUSH?!?!? --- with Dean's worship of Gunner Lawless, without a freaking word.

Imagine if John Cena actually was a heller tho

Part of me wishes that spn got John fuckin Cena to guest on 11x17 beyond the mat, but also The Miz was a better choice on a more meta level.
