I know it's funny and all that Becky adores Sam in a weird way (5x01) and that Marie tells Dean she is a Sam girl (10x05). But I would have loved to see one of the Supernatural books' fans being a Dean girl.

And she could have hugged him hard, it could have been funny too in a way that Dean would find it weird to be hugged by a stranger (Jensen could have made all his amazing faces of surprise and discomfort), but then the fan would tell him how much he is loved, but not like in a creepy way like Becky (7x08), but more like we do, and he would have been so flustered, like when Cas implies that he is a role model (10x09).

Basically, I wanted more people to tell Dean that he's loved, not just Cas two episodes before the end, because he is, so damn much, because he deserves it and because he didn't hear it enough in his life (shit I made myself cry, that was not the point, the point is that once again we have been robbed).

I think about the burger date in 10x09 The Things We Left Behind an unhealthy amount. But then I go watch it and am reminded that Dean gets spooked by the intimacy, experiences bi panic, overcorrects and asks Cas to kill him. The date was going great babe, you didn’t need to do that

if spn weren't a cw show and had the balls to go there they would've showed flashback clips interspersed with with dean telling cas the cbgb story in 10x09, where the clips would very clearly Not match up with the casual "funny" anecdotal story dean is telling. sam excitedly tells cas those people "get him drunk, first time" and we see young dean being aggressively pushed drink after drink in his hand by those people, goaded and pressured into drinking more. dean says "not fun drunk. I’m not quite sure what was in that stuff, but the room starts to spin, and I feel like I’m going to puke … forever." and we see everything blurred, dean losing time, spots in his vision, people grabbing at him and moving him away from the bar. then, john winchester shows up and the punk dude who says "sorry, sir" gets a punch to the face. dean's a mess and mortified bc in his mind it was nothing bad, nothing bad was happening to him, it was just a cool moment of teenage rebellion. and that's how present day dean is recounting it, but we know. we saw what was about to happen to dean. and as dean comes out of the story and cas says very seriously "he saved you" about john showing up, we see something shift in dean's expression as he realizes and really lets himself acknowledge for the first time, how bad the situation really was and what almost happened.

and then when dean snaps and kills all those men who were gonna traffic claire.......yea it makes a whole lot of sense.
