A People's History of the Vampire Uprising is underrated. Bela Lugosi, just, Bela Lugosi. Daybreakers was fucking fun. Vampirism folklore is the best though. My grandmother just bought me a book on it.

this is now my Microsoft hate segment where I rag on the windows developers for making windows always make itself the first boot option on restart even if another OS is set to default. So presumptuous, so self-centered, you aren't good enough to be that cocky please make this not a default
Dream vacation: all i want out of a vacation is to look at cool infrastructure, good food, and public transit so probably China, Taiwan, or the Netherlands as the ones that come to mind right now. I generally find large urban environments quite comfortable.

Song stuck in my head: Right now? The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds theme because I just watched the most recent episode
Last song listened to: Other than the ST: SNW theme? Uh... whatever incidental music was on NPR? I don't listen to a lot of music intentionally. I mostly have NPR on as soothing background noise, plus I learn stuff.
Favorite food: Ben & Jerry's Half-Baked ice cream. I'm also really into persimmons.
Last thing I googled: Red light therapy (my massage person thinks it can help with my chronic fatigue, I was pretty sure it was pseudoscience, it turns out it does actually work for skin regeneration stuff but I have no idea why she thinks it can work on internal organs)
Dream vacation: Hmm... some sort of wine & food tour along the Mediterranean coast of Spain and France, probably.

Dream vacation: I'd really like to travel to my grandma's birthplace in Poland, but I'm also not exactly sure what I'd do there since it's a very rural area and since a lot of time has passed since my grandma lived there. It wouldn't really be a vacation either, just something along the lines of a research trip that would make me feel connected to her in some way, I guess. Other than that, I'd love to go to London again. I haven't been in five years and I desperately want to go see some more musicals!

Classic Pe- Dom vs Ji Dom...

I am an ENFP. My dad is an ISFP.
Amidst our numerous similarities, and differences which can both align/complement, and clash is how receptive to reworking our judgements In response to new data. My dad, once he creates a judgement, is like hitting a wall. This is partly due to low Ni (THIS is the truth!) but largely due to Fi being his dominant.
I, by contrast, tend to waffle, a bit, but I am quicker to piece together disparate unconscious threads (Not usually inaccurately, but I have learned to not act until there is objective concrete confirmation). However, if new information comes along, I tend to quickly suck it up, and then see where it fits in my personal values/ ethics.
For instance, regarding a person who we have in the past regarded as flaky, I was able to see that she had genuinely grown, developing the capacity to account for others. I respect that.
My dad, however, remains skeptical and dismissive. He tends to say “yeah but she’ll always be [her name]. Unless he gets concrete proof he can see for himself , he won’t change his mind.
ENFP Mod: NJs are the same once they do reach a conclusion, due to Ni discarding information that doesn’t match with its internal perceptions. Ni and Se are far less inclined to believe people are capable of change than Ne and Si.
