It's Sunday and I might as well spam. So this is a "proof of practise".
@polteergeistt I have not forgotten about that Telomeres solo :) But also I'm not 100% there yet. Some notes don't ring out in a nice way and also in other places it does not sound as smooth as Vessel plays it. That "jazzy boy" is really good XD
Anyway.
Three takes, three times the same solo, three attempts of making this sound good (I'm playing to the recording so that the timing is right)
I need two or maybe four more weeks with this XD.

GUESS WHAT CAME TODAYYYYY!!!
Ugh I'm absolutely in love with this (and the album art book!!). I originally wanted to try and get a blue viynl, but I got impatient with HMV literally never restocking and Amazon selling out before I even know they're back on sale.
Did I maybe pay a little bit too much and indulge myself? Yes. But is it now among one of my favourite vinyl?? Definitely! Vessel's voice works so well on vinyl as well.

Sleep Token Wembley Bingo
As promised, here it is: the Wembley Bingo cards of your predictions on what might go down at Wembley. Once again, thank you @fivewholeminutes for the og post!!
There are two versions, Red and Blue. They have the same predictions, but arranged in different ways. Just save the card you want and play along on Saturday! I may or may not have a ~prize~ for whoever completes a bingo.
A lot of the predictions were very similar, so I just combined them to save space. There are a few that have been left off, either because they already happened or for some other reason, and others that make sense for them to still be there - better explanations under the cut (because I don't want to spam anyone's dash):
Predictions that have already come true and have thus been cut off:
TMBTE (song) live debut
New masks/gold motifs for the Vesselettes
Vesselettes being aloud to move/dance
Unmasking (the double mask - I was already thinking of leaving this one out to avoid any possible conflict, so I'm using the Great Unmasking of ii and iv as an excuse)
Predictions that have already come true but are still on the card:
Aqua Regia mix-up - it happened once already BUT it could still happen or not on Wembley, so I'm leaving it, because funny
Better/Bigger stage production - we got the super cool LED logo and amazing lights, but it's still very much possible for Wembley to have something extra/different
Predictions that I have cut off:
Unmasking/Identity reveal (see above)
Siam/Cleo cameo - for logistic reasons and for the snakeys well-being, I think it's safe to assume they won't be present (even though I'd love to see that 🐍)
Ritual starting on time - again, logistics are hard to control and late starts are pretty common. I figured this one was innocuous enough to leave out
iii screaming with a microphone - we don't know if he will be able to be present at all so, this one had to leave. I want you to have a change of getting a bingo!
Live official recording of the show (for a dvd or replay) - Adam Ross has stated a few weeks ago that the band does not wish to have a professional recording of their Rituals, and so an official pro-recording is a bit impossible
Previous tour props, like hats, etc - if we go by the German Rituals, they don't really bring anything over so, very very unlikely to happen
It will be a normal show - while I agree that there's a small chance Wembley will be just another regular ritual, there are a few extra special things that are bound to happen anyways, so in truth, it will never be a truly normal show. (also I needed to cut off one more 😬)
If any of these does end up becoming true, I am contractually obliged to grant you three wishes, so come find me afterwards.
Predictions that have been combined:
New masks/ new paints/ gold motifs/ new costumes - it all falls under the new/upgraded costume slot (although I kept Vessel and the guys separate)
Dancers /silent performances / theatrical elements
Pyrotechnics / Setting things on fire
Fields of Elation/ Sugar/ Telomeres/ The Apparition/ more songs in general - these were the ones most predicted to comeback/debut, so I combined them in the old songs/debut slot
Euclid/TNDNBTG - most people said it would start with The Night and end with Euclid, although I have seen a few variations in order. I kept the most common one, but it's game if on reverse
(Euclid appeared too many times, so that song has a special slot - just as TMBTE album played in full)
Stage props/ Background videos / Bigger lighting
Hozier being present; a Collad or a Cover
Remember, this is all in good fun! Some of these are super silly and fun, others are very likely to happen. What matters is that we all have a bit of fun while emotionally recovering form the London show (because we all know it'll be incredibly emotional!)
If this is not your thing, then that's totally fine too! Above all, let's all be nice and respectful to one another!

I’ve seen a couple people say “I want a relationship like sleep token lyrics,” or something of a similar ilk, with the replies being “ bro have you listened to the lyrics ??”
Now I would like to first off say, I agree…. But also…. I do not.
Stay with me people, let me explain…
Ok, first we must consider which of the three major archetypes of sleep token songs is being referred to. These are as follows: 1) “wowowow I’m so in love, flame of my soul, muse of my poetry, let us entangle ourselves in every time and every universe,” 2) “…alright lads, I may have gotten myself… into a perhaps not so good situation again….but also sexy times,” 3) “fuckfuckfuckfuck i hate it here i hate you but also someone please love me pleasepleaseplease I just want someone to love me.” Note: not all songs fit neatly into these groupings, some songs may sit between them or flip back and forth between verses.
Now if someone said they want a love like a sleep token lyrics, and they were referring to the first type, then they could mean a song like “drag me under” where you get the absolute banger line, “And I know the angels tonight are as lost for words //As I am to merely behold you as we lie down together.” Or perhaps ‘Telomeres,’ which, while a little more emotionally charged, is generally still pretty hopeful in my opinion.
Or perhaps a song like ‘Alkaline,’ ‘Give,’ or ‘Jaws.’ Where the lyrics are a little more seeped in desire, in seeing the faults and the possible darkness in a person, in acknowledging its presence, and wanting them anyway. Which isn’t inherently bad for a relationship, you just need to make sure it doesn’t come to impact it in an unhealthy way….
We must also of course acknowledging those of us who have goofy little traumatised brains, that see a red flag and go “well boy howdy, sign me up for some of that”…. I am looking you entire middle section of Ascensionism…
Or the lesser but still unhealthy element of, yearning that has turned almost obsessive, or ‘I see your pain, let us be in pain together.’
And then of course all of this hinges on whether or not you’re dealing with songs individually or as a collective, and if you are seeing it through a reality adjacent lens or a lore/Sleep lens. Because the moment you add in that connection and continuity between songs, particularly if you relate them back to Sleep, then yea, even the most innocent of lyrics becomes tainted.
I would also be remiss, to not acknowledge the possibility that “I want a love like sleep token lyrics” is in fact a short hand for “I want to be loved by someone like vessel.” In turn meaning, I want to be desired in my entirety. My flaws recognised, my pain understood - to be loved by someone so willing to give. Who is, seemingly, so full of love that it pours out his heart like a faucet and floods any cup offered - even if it overflows, or is later tipped onto the sidewalk.
Finally, there is the likely and understanding angle of, “hot man say pretty words and make brain goo”… which you know what fair enough.
If you have made it this fair I am giving you a kiss on the forehead for enabling my silliness, and also casting a spell to make you forget all the spelling and grammar errors you likely just trudged through >:]

Sleep Token's music has so many layers it's insane. I like to dissect the songs when I listen and pick apart each instrument and brother if they wanted to play the songs without pre-recordings they would need 12 people on that stage.
These are the instruments for Hypnosis. I bet it's not even all there is to the song.
I also think about the settings (amps and synths) and in the beginning of Telomeres we hear a phaser effect but there is no guitar ????? This is some witchcraft bullshit and they are high wizards it's crazy.

oh i Love that song <3 owl city has been my bestie since high school and vanilla twilight is one of my favorite "tim in the cloning basement" songs.
so, of course, this one goes to tim, in the cloning basement. he can't sleep. he slips out of his room and pads downstairs. it's 3 am. no one else at titans tower is awake; he doesn't need to worry about being seen. all he has to worry about is why he can't get kon back.
he pulls the tissue samples from attempt 48. he needs to run some analysis to understand what went wrong. it's hard to clone a kryptonian without the embryo simply not developing as it should; something about the telomeres being too short activates apoptosis very quickly. he doesn't understand how cadmus did it. maybe he should look into finding them again, after they went underground. but time spent on that is time not spent here, in the lab, where he's so close to a breakthrough (to kon) that he can almost taste it. he knows he can get kon back. he has to be able to get kon back. so if he just tries a little harder—
alternatively, this is the fic where tim gets frostbite from the cryotome while trying to slice tissue samples (done at -20C, and requires fine enough movements that it's really hard to do while wearing thick gloves) because he doesn't take a break when he knows he should. who cares if he's losing feeling in his fingers a little bit? he just needs to get this done. the sooner he's done slicing, the sooner he can start staining, and the sooner he gets the samples stained, the sooner he can analyze them, and the sooner he can analyze them, the sooner he can figure out what's going wrong. he needs figure out what's going wrong so that he can get kon back.
he needs to get kon back. instead, he gets two huge frostbite blisters on his fingers that will eventually scar. he never does tell anyone where those scars came from. he's got enough other scars they just kind of blend in.
