Headcanon: Affectionate phrases in alien languages - Sonen kihy tas kumop vin [Drell]

Sonen kihy tas kumop vin is an affectionate drell phrase. Originally, it was used by a drell poet named Kulee a thousand years ago. Since then, it has become an expression of love.

“Sonen kihy tas kumop vin” is a phrase that originally comes from Imereaisi, an older drell language, and it is most commonly used by speakers of the language. While the phrase is relatively short, it conveys a rich message thanks to the beauty of the drell language, which has an astonishing amount of different, distinct words for everything revolving memories.

“Sonen kihy tas kumop vin” roughly translates to “The beautiful memories you gave me have had such great impact on my soul, that they outweigh all the negatives, lessening their pain. You transform me.”

Kulee was known to have had a painful past, having grown up during one of the worst wars in drell history. With her eidetic memory, she was forced to relive the painful memories of the loss, hardships and abuse she endured throughout her young life. She was one of the youngest poets in drell history, having used the phrase in a poem dedicated to her adoptive mother, a revolutionary in drell history.

After the death of her Kulee, her mother was said to have used the exact same words during her daughter’s funeral, who died at the tender age of fifteen.

Thus, some drell also use the phrase during a loved ones funeral. Some drell cultures use this phrase as a motto to celebrate the beautiful memories experienced with a loved ones during a funeral, rather than to mourn their loss.

okej jag behöver hjälp av alla boknördar. jag läste typ en fjärdedel av en bok i mellanstadiet och jag försöker att komma ihåg titeln.

boken handlade om en brittisk man som var ute och fiskade. han stannade iland på en ö som hade varit en karantän-plats för någon sjukdom för länge sedan. på ön hittade han en flicka som var praktiskt sätt döende. så han såklart tog med henne hem till sin fru och son så att hon kunde bli botad. flickan kunde inte prata och såg nästan spöklik ut.

sedan så följer boken sonen av fiskaren och flickan som blev upphittad. de blev som syskon. i byn de bodde i spreds det rykten om att flickan var en häxa eller en myling. sonen var såklart inte så glad över dessa rykten.

medans det höll på var det också en story om en flicka som skulle åka kryssning till europa från amerika för att träffa sin far. sen kommer jag inte ihåg något mer

fun facts sobre el català (a no ser que hagis d'aprendre la llengua aleshores no son tan divertits) (bastanta xapa sorry):

paraules que canvien de significat depenent del gènere que els hi donis: el planeta (cos celestial) la planeta (destí), la llum (fenomen físic) el llum (objecte que desprèn la llum)

paraules que funcionen quasi com ho fa l'anglès (l'únic que a més tenen gènere propi)

-> la girafa es refereix a l'animal en si, no dona cap informació sobre quin gènere té l'animal, només al gènere de la paraula (femení). per a especificar s'ha d'utilitzar la girafa mascle o la girafa femella

s, ss, c, ç poden sonar depenent del que les acompanyi com el fonema [s]

s a principi de paraula sona sorda i a mig de paraula sona sonora. per a tenir el so s sord a mig de paraula afegeixes una altra s (ss)

-> exemple: sabata casa assemblea

r a principi de paraula sona sonora i a mig sona sorda. per a tenir el so sonor a mig de paraula afegeixes una r (rr)

-> exemple: rata cara carretera

el so [γ] es representa amb la lletra g a principi de paraula seguit de a i u, i amb gu seguit de e i (on la u no sona) (això és perquè g seguida de e i produeix el so [j]) (si vols tenir el so [γ] seguit de u i de e i has de modificar la u per a indicar que la pronuncies: gü (i tot i això el so que té és de [w] i no de [u])

-> exemples gat gos gust, guerra vs gerra vs güell, guim vs gimnàs

una cosa semblant passa amb el so [k]. seguit de a o u s'utilitza la lletra c, però per a e i s'utilitza qu (on la u no sona) (això és perquè c seguida de e i produeix el so [s]) (si vols tenir el so [k] seguit de u i e i has de modificar la u: qü (i la u sona com a [w] i no com a [u])

i després a tot això hi ha exepcions

per no parlar de la o i la e oberta o tancada. com a mínim els francesos li posen accent a tot

! la vocal neutra. super graciós com el lleidetà (dialecte del català) la ignora completament. molt icònic de part seva la veritat (basicament son e a final de mot que sonen com [ə]) (a l'àrea metropolitana de barcelona la vocal neutra ha desaparegut i ha estat susbtituida per [ɐ] degut a la influència del castellà) (els de barcelona reben molt quan se'ls hi nota que no fan la vocal neutra)
