I'd like to get into how she plays fast and loose with the omniscient focalizer for irony, and how she uses the irony to sound confident and respectable (hard to pull off! Most new ironic writers just sound insecure.... Looking at you, Muir). But I'd need to get into both danmei, patriarchy-fetish ya *and* Chinese classics (or at least the ones she cited as inspiration) to really get it. And I mean. Some sound more appealing than the others
