REN MILK FIC -
Shut up and take it.
The overwhelming smell of hay, fresh paint, and barn animals filled Ren’s nose, but he was soon distracted by cold metal pressing up against his back. Scissors began to slice away at the Beastkin’s tank top. After tearing away the fabric, Strade grasped at the waistband of the jogger shorts before pulling them to his victim’s ankles.
He soon did the same to his boxer briefs. As his clothing was quickly stripped away from him, Ren felt increasingly insecure and fearful, his tail subconsciously going between his legs.
He would have tried to pull his shorts and underwear back up but was stopped by Strade still holding the drill to his head.
The best he could do now was shrink back and cover himself with his shaking hands as his captor shot him a few mocking gazes and a cynical smile. Horrid thoughts began to bounce around in Ren’s pounding head.
He slammed his eyes shut. “This is it. He’s going to rape me, shoot me, and then dump my body in the desert for the scavengers to pick apart. Attached to the red leather collar was a large golden cowbell that jingled loudly with every small movement Ren made.
Once the collar was secured and taut on the sobbing fox’s neck, the German grabbed him by the back of his leather neckband causing him to choke.
As he was dragged over to another side of the barn, Strade reached out to Ren, silently begging him for mercy in the hope that he was less sadistic than the taller man.
His chokes and gasps for air thankfully ended, but the terror and dread didn’t. It seemed like it never would… As he was spun around, a squeeze cage came into view.
Ren recognized the cruel-looking device as something used to help brand and dehorn cattle. He was shoved inside, his head forced through bars and squeezed together so his neck was trapped.
With his head and neck trapped and motionless, Ren could only rely on his moving eyes to see what his captor was about to do to him.
Strade quickly went outside and slipped on some gloves before grabbing a lukewarm Craft Beer. He could see the German man outside the barn, wearing thick protective gloves and holding an iron rod over a burn barrel.
Once he came back, Goosebumps formed over Ren’s flesh as Strade dabbed a cold alcohol swap over his exposed behind. A thick lump formed in his throat as he put two and two together..
He was going to brand him… His thrashing became much more frantic and violent. Although the actions pained his neck and head greatly, he persisted with his struggles. If this sick freak was going to brand him like livestock, he wasn’t going to let it happen without a fight.
He wasn’t going to just go limp and take it. Strade removed the rod from the fire, revealing that the end was bright orange and steaming.
His fight against the iron cage grew even more frantic as he came closer. “NO! YOU GET AWAY FROM ME!” “Stay still, Schatz. Don’t want to mess it up.”
Strade said it was so nonchalant, it almost scared him. Still, Ren didn’t have time to think about that, he could only focus on the hot metal coming closer to his ass. With one swift motion, the iron was pressed hard against his left asscheek, burning and sizzling into his flesh. As his vision turned white and spotty and his throat let out an ear-piercing scream, Strade smiled at his display. Although he couldn’t see it yet, there were two letters now permanently burned into his skin forever.

Before turning in for the night, Strade chained Ren into his stall that was so confined, he couldn't even extend his legs out all the way. He was cramped, cold, naked, and terrified. He should be at home watching anime, not with this German psycho in the middle of buttfuck nowhere.
Ren started to scream again in an act of desperation, although the cries were shot and weak. His throat was still tortured by the screaming he did while being branded. In the back of his mind, he knew that all of his commotions would amount to nothing in the end. Still, you never know if someone willing to help would be trespassing on the farm property. Chances were slim, but not impossible...right?

“Help… Please somebody help…” By sunrise, Ren could hardly let out more than a whimper. He had been hollering for a savior almost all night, but as he predicted, all he got in response was the song of the crickets. His eyelids weighed heavy, his crash in adrenaline hitting hard.
Right as he was about to drift off, his eyes flew open at the sound of the barn door swinging open. “Guten Morgen, Kuh!" Ren recognized that voice. It was Strade. “I had to get up early because it was my turn to feed the chickens and let the dog out.” He set down a bucket of water into Ren’s stall. “We heard you mooing out here all night, so I imagine you must be parched.” “I don’t want to see you. Get away from-OOMPH!”
Ren’s back hit the dirt as Strade gave a hard blow to his stomach, his heavy boots knocking the wind from his body. Before he could sit himself up, Strade sat on Ren’s chest, his weight pinning down his lithe body. The man, who was currently gasping for air, violently flinched as he felt the farmer grasp at his limp cock. “A bit rowdy right now, are you?
No problem. I have something that will help calm you down.” The fox (mistaken for a cow apparently) threw his head back, letting out a few shuttering cries as he heard Strade digging around in his pocket.
He was convinced that it was the pistol. He was about to be shot dead for being too difficult to handle. However, instead of his head being blown to bits, Ren could feel cold metal encasing his dick, quickly being securely locked on with a small metal key.
Strade had just put a chastity cage on him. “There. Isn’t that so much better? Your cock all wrapped up like a present for your beloved farmer.” Strade said sweetly as Ren continued to squirm underneath him. His face felt hot against the cool hair as he flushed a deep red from the humiliation and shame. He felt like a wild animal being muzzled. “Don’t worry. We won’t keep it on forever of course. We just have to keep you all pent up for milking.”

Ciel Phantomhive's Agency Analysis 1/3
so i recently have been thinking to myself about just what makes o!Ciel such a remarkable character worth rooting for, and how his relationship with Sebastian aids this notion.
despite the fact that Ciel kills people, often times those people are adults who were already dead-set on killing a child (him) and therefore probably not too dissimilar from his captors in his mind.
this perspective likely changes when he discovers Madame Red as Jack the Ripper. this suddenly humanizes the criminals that he's been disposing of for several years.
i want to say that it wasn’t until Noah’s Ark Circus that we start to see him arguably and ACTIVELY make “bad” decisions (killing all of those children in cages, killing Doll, perpetually lying to the circus crew that’s been nothing but nice to him, etc.)
and yet, in the ensuing arcs, he continues to evolve from this point of merciless disposal. we see him begin to spare people. particularly when he offers Snake a position at the manor at the end of book of murder. i think here, we see his guilt manifest itself. this is the one way that he can aid/spare one of the circus troupe members- while simultaneously sparing him from the grisly truth.
i'd argue that the reason why he pushes away prince soma throughout the series, and had distanced himself from macmillan after the weston arc, stems from a similar place. he is under no dissolution that darkness and imminent death follows him, it is interwoven with his fate. so, he tries to spare them by not letting himself get too close.
we also see him undergo some fairly realistic depictions of PTSD. though it’s unlikely a 10-13 year old would actually be able to act that calm, rational, and tactical under his dire circumstances and still be able to maintain this thread of his humanity the majority of the time- that sort of brings a certain charm to him. a certain innocence, almost- despite his murderous, bloody, or cruel actions. i think it makes it feel especially raw and heartbreaking the few times we do see him crack.
the terrible nightmares throughout the series, his breakdown/asthma attack in baron kelvin’s basement. refusing to be touched in flashbacks (even by sebastian) but still asking him to stay until he falls asleep (maybe just to hear someone else's breathing- to feel the presence of another being). his psychosis in the emerald witch arc, how distraught he was when his deceased twin brother showed up 3 years later and had killed his friend- we see that his past does still haunt him.
oh, do we see his guilty conscience.

After the real Ciel returns as a doll, I don't understand his feelings for our ciel. After all, does he love him or is he looking for competition and is angry with him?
He claimed that he was not angry with our Earl. He said he likes to see his development . Defended Earl's lie about his identity to Francis. He told Undertaker that he just wanted to spend time with his brother.
But he also left the blood in the basement of the mansion and called the police to accuse his brother. And he asked Tanaka to burn the rabbit dolls and he doesn't want to see them again. I also feel that he killed Agni personally. just for make our Earl and Soma enemy.
because he was jealous that someone getting close to his brother.
I understand that his brain probably hasn't developed since he was 10 years old and is childish. But still seem contradictory.
Real Ciel's emotions
I've touched on this subject before, but I always find it a bit difficult to read this character.
We don't know too much about him from before, but he seems to have always been a little bit fickle minded. One minute he's happy and wanting to know about his brother's life goals, but when it means his brother might move away, he tries to change his brother's mind and control his decisions. Then he's all of a sudden against being the heir, if it means not getting to do as he pleases and being with his brother all the time.
And elitist; when Vincent tells them about keeping the workers on their land happy and productive, our earl ponders how hard it must be to keep everyone happy... while real Ciel compares them to sheep who must be provided with the basics to keep them from going astray.
With a big helping of "big brother syndrome", where he thinks he knows what's best and feels a need to be the protector all the time. And to be right all the time, like telling our earl the truth about Santa and where the presents really come from. Oh, and being competitive -- typically the winner -- like at chess. It's a little condescending when he says our earl and their dad are the only ones who can even present a challenge for him. Getting kidnapped and sold to the cult gave him a serious reality check, but it doesn't seem to have stuck too well.
Like I've said before, the process of turning him into an advanced bizarre doll (using all his life goals as "episodes") seems to have brought his negative traits to the forefront.
We see that when he confronts our earl, Sebastian, and the rest of the household. Even Tanaka winces when real Ciel puts Sebastian in his place as a servant. Then there's the whole blood transfusion thing: he could accept any whole blood donation (since Rh factor doesn't seem to be a thing in the Kuroverse), and Blavat apparently knows this. So, why does he only use Sirius blood? Does he not also know... or is he simply refusing any other blood type, with the belief it's too inferior for him? 🤔
There's a strong dichotomy to his thinking. On the one hand, he wants to be with his twin, just like before, but he also wants to punish him for taking the ring and pretending to be him. He calls our earl a liar but then says he'll have nothing to do with anyone who says the same thing... then doesn't seem to care when Lizzie almost immediately points her finger, doing exactly what real Ciel said others shouldn't do. He quickly learns to appreciate and even admire what our earl has managed to accomplish in the past nearly four years, but he has no personal interest in the same things, like the toy and confectionery company. He would have invested in the railway system or something. It seems likely that he was invested in Blue Star Line, so he's way more into transportation and infrastructure than he is into providing the simple joys of toys and sweets. Like he'd rather be an industrial tycoon. It's really sad to me that he basically tells Tanaka to get rid of those toys because he is still upset with our earl for wanting to pursue such a career. Like he doesn't think it's a particularly serious occupation. Maybe he truly thinks it's not worthy or proper for a member of a noble family to do that sort of work. He even says something like that in ch132.
Real Ciel has, since that moment (if not before), wanted his little brother to be dependent on him. Forever.
So, yeah, at the point where he's had the blood planted at the manor and is calling his younger twin by "Lord Sirius", he's perfectly willing to have him arrested and detained for questioning. Things would have played out quite differently if Sebastian and our earl hadn't gotten away from the Yard. After a few days of letting our earl think about what he's done, sitting in some jail cell, he might have gone down to the station and dropped the charges -- making who knows what excuse about the blood and the deaths -- on the condition that his younger twin would return to the manor and stay there, doing whatever real Ciel wants him to do. Maybe he would pin the entire thing on Blavat and let him rot there. Considering how Druitt keeps getting out of situations with the law, I'm sure real Ciel could talk or bribe his brother's way out of legal trouble.
Since real Ciel now runs entirely on his personal goals and desires, what we see now is a much more selfish version of himself. So selfish and elitist that he'll:
Have Lord Polaris kill Agni to turn Soma against his younger twin
Have his brother locked up just to physically contain him
Destroy what his brother has built for the estate and Funtom, despite recognizing the effort it took
Belittle the servants that his brother showed compassion and leniency to
Use his fiancée as a bodyguard but otherwise barely speak to her
Drain people dry to accept only Sirius (AB) blood when he could accept any type
I'm sure there are things I've left out that I intended to include, but this seems pretty thorough to me... for now.
He does love his brother, but as a soulless bizarre doll, it's a cold sort of love. The self-centered aspects of it remain. Not what he can truly do for his younger twin but what his younger twin can do for him. And he is angry... and still competitive.
ETA: Real Ciel's lies to Francis/Frances aren't really to protect our earl; the excuses he makes, etc. are to help cover up the dark truths about himself. Just imagine him trying to explain it truthfully and in relatively good detail. It wouldn't go over well at all.

Ok i was talking abt this yesterday w @viralvava on discord but i still can't get over how bafflingly stupid LoI's ending in terms of Mathias actions bc man he rlly just shot himself in the foot. He went ahead and told his whole plan to Leon, told him how he used him, and still expected him to go w him flawlessly.
And not only that, we're talking about a warrior w the skill to murder vampire lords and carrying the only weapon that can truly kill Mathias! And yea you can say he took care of the possibility of Leon rejecting him by having Death take care, but that still reads more as a crude solution instead of a proper backup plan, specially w the priority to neutralize the VK.
And this is made worse when comparing him to Death (who in CoD had a plan b w Isaac (and possibly Trevor?) in case Hector didnt fell to the curse) or Arikado (who in AoS, if Soma failed and turned into the dark lord, had Julius (and himself if needed) to take him down)
And this would be more or less fine on it's own, alright Mathias/Dracula is a crude planner. Except it is already stablished he is a gifted strategist! This man has lead wars undefeated for years! He played Walter like a toy piano! Everything went perfectly until he opened his mouth!
I have two main explanations/headcanons rn:
Mathias full plan included a coherent speech filled with half truths to convince Leon he was helping him and then in the long run convince him of joining him in vampirism. However, the mix of being turned and the raw chaos power of the crimson stone made him lose hold of himself and have an episode (compare to the possesions and curses caused by Drac's magic/Drac's remains/Dominus). This included him pretty much admitting his full plan in an impulse of honesty. And instead of trying a plan b after Leon's rejection he just angrily dumped Death on him. Basically stomped all over his own planning erratically. (This one half relies on magic but i enjoy how it mirrors the corruption that the dark powers have on even Dracula himself)
Mathias has had his strategies work flawlessly for so many years that he has stopped making b plans in case stuff goes wrong. He literally walked into Walter's castle so confident of himself and on Leon's, Sara's and Rinaldo's actions knowing full well that if anything went a little south he'd be a vampire's lunch. And then he had a honest yet nasty fluke with Leon that he had no way to recover from. (This one is like, dumb in a funny way bc good god Mathias, but i also like how this, his one failed plan, mirror's Leon's one defeat here)
Needless to say that in both cases his mental health and emotional state is an utter disaster ofc. We're talking abt a grief drowned man with emotions too strong for him to handle, who's desperately trying to drag the one person he has left with him into an eternity of spite and revenge (and he succeeded in the worst way for him). And in any case one can mismatch from both scenarios. (Anyways, if anyone has cool ideas regarding this i'd love to hear them 👁)

I THINK I remember Soma and Agni were brought up when they were talking about escaping to another country with Lau. I think?? Maybe only a panel or two though... :/
Sooo I didn't remember anything like that at all myself (hence making my post about the possibility of everyone not knowing), so I scrambled around to find anything like this and ahhh all I got was this one page in Chapter 147:
And boy...
THESE LOOKS SAY IT ALL DON'T THEY 😭
And I think that's all we get brought up about them, and we haven't- so far -seen a moment in a flash back or anything while during the servant mini arcs where Sebastian or O!Ciel talk about their dear old friends Prince Soma and Agni again.. 😔
And to be clear I GET IT, they don't have time to talk about it, they aren't canonically the type to suddenly draw everyone together and gently break the news on what happened. O!Ciel and Sebastian are, well, when it comes down to it SELFISH and SELF-SERVING. They are currently driven by their need to trump Undertaker and the smug ass bizarre doll form of r!ciel. They CANONICALLY DON'T CARE about dwelling and focusing on emotions if it gets in the way of progress. And as foolish and upsetting and toxic as that sounds... it is what it is in the canon kuro manga verse.. 🤷
But on a final note? I personally doubt this will be the last it's brought up ever or something. In fact I would not be surprised if at the climax of all this long ass arc with mini-arcs extravaganza, maybe at the hotel, maybe circling back to the manor after finish up at the hotel, o!Ciel or Sebastian bring up something along the lines of how the know by now that Agni and Soma were compromised because of their influence. As well as what Agni discovered that very day he was killed while recovering that photo in the fireplace. It makes sense what the antagonists did there, and it'll make all the MORE sense if our protagonists confront it. (You know, like how they always do at the end of every storyline..? The Madam Red confrontation, the big campania confrontation, the Aurthur Conan Doyle Discovers the Horrible Truth confrontation, the midnight tea party confrontation... HELLO??)
So, these are all my thoughts overall on the situation, reader-wise, and writer-wise- and whatever I count as besides that-wise... I know there are SO MANY different takes overall on what happened, how it happened, and what should happen next regarding it. And I hope whether there's agreement or disagreement on the whole thing, ya'll don't mind my take here. I don't normally have time to make big posts about plot points in kuro. Nor brain power.. (it's rough going right now lemme tell ya 💀) so... uhhh.. enjoy??? 🖤

Was Sawa-sensei really the only argument Yagami had? The answer may shock you
So, few people know that I fucking despise this take. It's been fun and still can be fun to me sometimes, but as time goes, I see more and more people thinking that unironically and even hate Yagami for this, among other things.
(Huge spoilers for both games ahead. Obviously.)
And I do a lot of (over)thinking myself, as I am writing a looong fic (first three chapters already live on ao3, sorry for shameless promo), and I always love to delve into characters' motives in canon events, goes with writing exclusively canon compliant things of course, and adding to my ever existing brainworms. Moreover, I'm revisiting Judgment atm for the first time since early 2020 if I'm being correct? And I see a lot of things I've forgotten which give lots what has happened in Lost Judgment pretty damn much sense. The Sawa argument is among these things.
First things first, what was the takeaway of the first game for Yagami? His trauma at first was that he fucked up bad and felt he had lost some crucial evidence that Okubo was actually the killer, but during the events of the game it transforms into "I haven't done anything to get to the truth". His trauma, as well Kuwana's, has its core in their inaction during the critical events of their lives. They were never the same again because they didn't do anything while they could, and yes, in that regard they are wounded in the same way.
How have they both responded? In a similar way. Yagami swore to always get involved there he can do something to change the situation before it escalates. Kuwana does the opposite, he tries to punish for the mistakes already made. (Which is funny considering that Yagami as a lawyer dealt with consequences while Kuwana as a teacher had the power to navigate people's lives to prevent the same mistakes, but it's the whole other theme in itself, and has little to do with the initial one.) Let's focus on Yagami though.
The only reason why Yagami repeatedly gets involved on his own in the Lost Judgment plot time and time again, though literally nobody asked him to do so, is the lesson which he learns in the first game. He says explicitly that he wants to get to the bottom of things, and not forget about cases when a trial is done. That's the reason why he doesn't want to be a lawyer again and why he can never be one again, not full-time at least.
And then Sawa gets murdered. Yagami draws parallel to Terasawa Emi (because of course he does) and is determined to bring everyone who is responsible for her death to the light. For now, it's Soma, the direct murderer, and Kuwana, which made Sawa the connecting thread between his crimes. Yagami realizes that Sawa's death was a tool for everyone to get what they wanted, like Emi's. He references it here:
At this point, Yagami has no proof to think otherwise. He thinks that everyone has forgot about Sawa and that she shouldn't have died. The very least Yagami could do, is to make sure everyone will answer for what they did to her. He sees that Kuwana feels guilty and quite shitty that the student which he thinks so highly of was murdered. Kuwana feels responsible, and Yagami knows that someday he will break.
I think it's also important to say that at no point of LJ has Yagami says anything remotely identifying the goal of his words and actions as "murder bad", but that's more obvious than anything else though requires explanation too if I'm to be believed that Yagami isn't after justice for all the murders.
This whole scene is the Sawa argument summarized, but if you look closer, it is really the only beef he has against Kuwana.
BTW he's not as goody two shoes as you prefer to see him in LJ, if his "I get how you feel" doesn't convince you.
And then the one person Kuwana is determined to do anything for has betrayed him, right before Yagami's eyes. What does Kuwana do? Abandon Yagami when Soma has said to his lackeys to do anything so he wouldn't escape, even murder him perhaps?
Great question, Yagami. This really does contradict everything he has thought of Kuwana since forever. After, instead of a goodbye Kuwana makes sure Soma couldn't stay on the boat longer and kidnap/kill Yagami. RK had no time for that, fleeing was the priority over someone they can find some time after.
First thing Yagami does is visit Kusumoto at the hospital, where he learns she has no regard to Kuwana's life, as long as her son is safe and her crime stays uncovered. Which is fine, I guess, though it's sad because Kuwana would do anything for her and for Mitsuru, but whatever. Ehara doesn't come around too, which also understandable, though Kuwana has risked his life to give Yagami the crucial evidence, he is nothing to him and has already played his part. He is just a tool in his revenge. Wait... What?
Yes, actually it's Kuwana who is being brushed off as collateral damage by everyone. Everyone he has helped actually. And he hasn't come clean during the time before Ehara's trial (he at least could leak the information or point to the body without endangering himself, idk) nor he disappeared to save his skin.
After the trial he thanks Yagami for helping Ehara (which Kuwana wasn't able to do himself) and points to his, and Kawai's body, location. Kuwana knows damn well he can die, but getting to the one who murdered Sawa is more important to him. So, Kuwana has no one on his side, even himself.
No one is going to save him. Sure, he isn't as innocent as Emi, he has fucked some shit up. Does he deserve to disappear for good and be forgotten, or even worse, be remembered as a psycho teacher who killed his student? Yagami doesn't think so. All Yagami sees is that Kuwana desperately tries to protect everyone who did everything right or did nothing at all, every victim of bullying. He has no other motive.
Yagami takes no shit from Kuwana, he isn't afraid or angry when Kuwana threatens to blow up the warehouse (as Sugiura and Higashi for example). He knows that Kuwana isn't capable of killing anyone who doesn't deserve it, he takes no pleasure in murder and doesn't do it for personal gain. Yagami, Kaito, everyone else aren't guilty of anything which deserves death as punishment.
If not for the gang, he would set off the bomb though, I'm 100% sure. But that's besides the point.
So, returning to the question: Was Sawa-sensei really the only argument Yagami had? An answer is yes. Because he really doesn't fucking care bullies are being murdered, slay worstie. But it's not because he's such a crappy lawyer, but because he realizes the importance of a person's life above everything else. And a person who cares is not necessarily stupid or unprofessional.
You can argue all you want who was right and who was wrong. It doesn't matter for the characters.
It was never about justice. They don't argue from a legal point of view. It was about remembering about the importance of a person's life.
I beg you to look at this story from another perspective. Not as a technical coldly-perfect story it should've been. People are imperfect, and Yagami, first and foremost, a person. A person who cares. And JE with LJ as stories can be imperfect... but also realistic.
Terasawa Emi is murdered for the greater good. Sawa is murdered for selfish reasons. Kuwana is almost murdered for the both. I can't imagine Yagami would want to go through lots of red tape to do something someday. He does this something right now. Because the lives of people, living and breathing, should be protected right now and valued above what's right legally.
Please, stop looking at fiction as something which should be perfect, or make more sense, be more logical and emotionally detached than the real world. Some can be like that, but Judgment hasn't been from the start.

Thinking about it LoI's cutscene with Mathias kind of clarifies why Dracula keeps being evil even after Alucard told him of Lisa's last wish and he himself even apologizing to her for his actions.
When Leon calls him out on his bullshit claiming that Elisabetha would never approve of his actions Mathias....just ignores the question
He simply states that she was a kind woman and that's why he's pissed at God and then proceeds to ask Leon "Hey you would've done the same don't judge me"
But inadvertently he kind of answers Leon's question by claiming that Elisabetha was kind which means that, on some level, he knows that what he's doing would disgust her yet he represses that truth so that he can keep walloing in hatred.
Dracula knows that Lisa would hate him for his actions yet he keeps doing them because he can't let go of hatred. When he apologizes to her it's probably not just for what he's done already but for not being able to meet her wish in general
Similarily, in DoS, Soma knows full well that giving up to his dark self would be awful yet he tries to go along with Celia's plan anyway upon thinking Mina died, even apologizing to her for what he's about to do
Yep! Dracula is a selfish bastard. He claims to love his wives, and yes he certainly saw something in them and was fond of them... but he didn't actually care enough to put their wishes above his own.
That scene with Mathias himself is also very telling. My man just finished confessing to having ruined Leon's life, to having used him and Sara for the sake of his plan, and then he offers Leon to join him in immortality and pulls a surprisedpikachuface.jpg when Leon understandably tells him to go fuck himself. He's been swallowed by his rage against God for "taking Elisabetha away from him", he appeals to Leon's grief by saying "after what you've been through, you should know" probably expecting him to renounce God as well, but didn't expect that he would feel the same towards Mathias for pretty much doing the same thing. The lack of empathy is astounding.
"Elisabetha was a kind, honorable woman. She was concerned only for me to the very end… That is why I hate Him! Am I wrong?!" You can nearly see Mathias starting to think "huh, yeah, my wife was a good woman, she'd probably be concerned for me for what I'm doing"... until he retreats in his anger again and chooses to blame God once again. I mean, he just ruined so many people's lives and absorbed Walter's soul to become a vampire, a little too late to accept that he fucked up.
And this is baby Dracula. It's easy to imagine that, by the time of SoTN, sunk cost fallacy more than applies. He died and got resurrected so many times, he killed so many people, he spread so much misery... and for what? For him to realize that his loved women would hate him? No, he can't go back now.
As for DoS, the line "If it means getting Mina's revenge, I'll do it. Make me the dark lord" really hurt the first time I played :( all this time spent rejecting his fate, and he's aware that he'll lose himself and become the sworn enemy of his friends... but he just has enough of seeing his loved ones die. celia is so fucking dumb
Needless to say, NFCV barely touches this point, despite the whole "appeal" of N!Dracula being that it expands upon his grief. S2, through Godbrand and Carmilla, insists on the point that Dracula's plan was stupid, that he won't think about how vampires will feed, that he only wants to die, and why didn't he just turn Lisa into a vampire, but IIRC no one among the heroes (and yes I'm talking about Alucard in particular) points out his sheer hypocrisy and lack of respect towards the woman he's supposed to love.
(although, to be fair, I love the line "Kill for the endless lifetime of hate before me". He also knew that he would never recover from his rage. until he did but shhh)

They're a master of emotional whiplash and can go from comedy to serious in 5 seconds flat in a way that is both satisfying and devastating.
The Moments We Touch by tastewithouttalent
A really good Stein/Spirit longfic that has them as kids, and then later as adults going through the events of the anime while dealing with their complicated relationship. It's also one of the few times I've read a fic that shows anime scenes that hasn't bored me because it was just restating what we've already seen. The scenes we see replayed in this show new context to what's happening and reframes what we've all seen before in different light.

Stein/Spirit again. A rare second person fic, and one that uses second person in a really effective way. I'm a sucker for second person fics after Marsh subjected me to it, and they are very rare to see. I love Spirit's characterization and thoughts in this, it's very good and honestly I should reread it again.

This is a little hard for me cause there are very few head canons that are consistent for me, I tend to change my mind on things depending on the fic I'm writing. And most of what stays consistent my brain has grouped under characterization, not head canons.
That being said after digging through my brain a bit heres what I've got that does stay consistent. Stein is a very introspective person and so is very aware of boundaries with Spirit. While he loves pushing buttons and seeing how far he can go with something, he's also very conscious of how what he did in the past affected Spirit and attempts to not further damage their relationship/make Spirit seriously uncomfortable. (Like a lower level of uncomfortable for a joke he'd be okay with, the kind that isn't wholly negative. but if it was something more than that he'd be very aware and cautious about it.)
As for Spirit I see him as being very confident with women, but the moment it comes to Stein there's always a lack of it, some form of nervousness. Which tends to change depending on the situation I throw them in, but there's always something, sometimes its because it's men, and he has less experience/is just realizing he's gay. Sometimes it's because it's Stein and their past is so complicated how does one navigate that amidst developing feelings. Sometimes it's because of what happened in the past leaves him with complicated feelings in the present. And sometimes it's cause he has no idea what Stein's feelings might be towards him.
🍬 post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character
Man idk I mainly have opinions on unpopular characters I can't really think of anything for the popular characters, so I guess I'll give you something that I think is unpopular for my usual idiots.
First thought was my perception on Stein saying he doesn't understand love when fighting medusa, that he's not being very truthful with that comment. But I've already kinda voiced my thoughts about that here, while the post isn't directly related to that comment I said anything I would have touched on for it.
The only other one I can think of is that Stein and Spirit are both switches, neither one of them are purely a top or bottom. Which I only assume is unpopular based on fics always picking one or the other. But Spirit's a hedonist and Stein would want to experience anything he could just to know what it's like. And they'd both like both roles for different reasons. Spirit would like being more of a top/dominate cause making Stein who's usually so stoic into a mess of pleasure or teasing him till he's practically begging for it would make Spirit giddy, and uniquely proud of himself.
Spirit would like being more of a sub/bottom cause he's more of a sensory based guy. (like he's more on the sensing side of the perceiving axis of myers briggs typing if you get my drift, but I digress I could make a whole in depth post about both of their myers briggs types) And Spirit is the hardworking type, I don't think he remembers how to relax sometimes, so being "forced" to relax on occasion by his partner being more dominate and taking the lead is something he'd really appreciate.
Stein is used to being more dominate/leading things (meister, teacher, ect) it's a role he's used to and comfortable in outside of the bedroom, so inside would likely be no different. (Even if the universe in question he had little experience with this stuff, the moment he does he'd be comfortable with leading things) He also seems the type to me to know and remember the little things about a partners body (like an arrangement of freckles on a shoulder or something) and being in a dom role gives him a good position to observe his partner and memorize them, and their reactions to things.
As a sub/bottom Stein would like actually being in touch with his body for once, and not having to be in charge of things. He'd be happy just to bask in the sensations for awhile, or he'd have fun pushing Spirit's buttons by being a brat (if we're talking more bdsm flavored dom/sub style)

At some point when I was a kid I was flipping through TV channels and caught a glimpse of a Shakespeare adaptation (which to this day i cannot figure out which one it was) where a character was monologing in the woods, which was first where I heard the word melancholy. I looked up what it meant, and being a bit of an edgy teen went 'yep sounds like me' I started using it for mmo's and such shortly after, which is where the double L and the Morose came from, i added the extra L as melancholy was taken a lot, and then decided I like the aesthetic's of, and the Morose came from MMO's that required a last name for your character. Idr why Morose is what i went with besides i liked the alliteration, and it sounded better than macabre.

Some time ago I said I would make a post about my opinion on various of the kuro characters' stance on the LGBTQA+ community so here It comes i guess. Gonna be a pretty long post I suppose.
Starting off with what may be a hot take: o!Ciel ain't homophobic or transphobic or anything. Yana may write him like that, but I feel like that's her problem and not his. It makes basically no sense with his character. He's just a dude trying to live his life and he canonically doesn't judge people for going against what society thinks should be the "norm" (His speech defending Snake in the Campania arc, to name one instance). He HIMSELF doesn't really follow the "norm" of a noble of that time period (Treats his human servants (so not Sebastian) like actual human beings and even family, doesn't seem to go to church or leave his house for fun much, hates socializing and going to parties). I personally even read him as aroace!
Plus he canonically read (or was at least knowledgeable about) Carmilla, wich I never read but from what I hear was gay Dracula before Dracula was invented.
That said, in modern era he WOULD make gay funtom merchandise for pride month only for the profit and not to stand by the gays. Not because he's homophobic, he just doesn't care about being so public in his support for the community if not for that sweet, sweet money. Tiny capitalist child. Awful little man.
Now, if you want to blame a Phantomhive for being homophobic...that's R!Ciel. An actually alive, not bizarre doll R!Ciel could be convinced of the LGBTQA+ community not being bad IF (and only if) his brother was a part of it and o!Ciel slowly educated him on what not to say or think. Like not even the knowledge that his father is the most bisexual person alive would convince him, he'd just live in denial. But we know that o!Ciel is sacred for him. "If brother says this, then it's the truth."
Bizarre doll R!Ciel is like those mums that go "I'm fine with gay people I just think that [insert extremely homophobic statement here]". He also says stuff like "The A in the LGBTQA+ community stands for Ally :)"
Lizzie is very nice and openly supportive, but WILL get sometimes flustered in front of two gay people being gay. She will also sometimes stumble and say something bad by mistake, but she immediately corrects her behavior as soon as she's explained that what she said wasn't right.
Tanaka? Complete Ally. No boomer behavior from the Grandpa ever.
Mei Rin? Ally. She is also a total lesbian who just hasn't come to terms with it yet, though. So for now she just says she's an Ally and moves on.
Finny is also an Ally who just doesn't get he's part of the community yet. He's aroace and doesn't know it.
Bard says he's an Ally, but the fact is that the only gay person he doesn't support is himself. Had his bi awakening after working with Sebastian at the Manor but denies it to himself like o!Ciel denies himself love and happiness.
Speaking of Sebastian, he's a very homophobic gay being. Not with himself. He knows he ain't straight and isn't upset about it. But if another person drops hints that they are, he's mad about it and WONT support them. Unless it's Agni. If it's Agni, he's EXTREMELY happy about it...
Agni is either Bi or a complete Ally.
Soma is the token straight friend. He's a complete Ally tho. Doesn't even hesitate. "Oh you're into men? That's cool! I'm into curry :)"
William is aroace and okay with that but he's also homophobic and transphobic.
Ronald is either Bi or another "token straight, ally friend"
Bonus: more sexuality headcanons!
Undertaker gives me big homosexual vibes but I also believe in the theory that him and Claudia had a thing, so I'll say pan.
Sieglinde is a lesbian. Had her first girl crush on Lizzie.
Grelle is obviously and canonically a trans woman and proud but imo she STILL needs to understand that men aren't her thing. Women are. She's in denial.
Also headcanon that in a modern era she would fucking hate the trans flag colours bc there's no deep red in it wich means she doesn't know how to incorporate it with her aesthetic.
Othello is ace. Idk if he's aro too or at least into women, but he's ace.
Alois is only into guys but also ace. @weeb-cheese showed me the light when they said he looked aroace to them. I can't completely buy the aro part but i am 100% sold on him being ace.
