I'm happy Jk's got a new single coming out, but damn, Layover promo has barely ended. Can we get some more time to appreciate Tae before Jk takes over again? Ngl, it kind of comes off as selfish on Jk's part he could have waited a little longer.
Do you really think Jungkook decided now was the perfect time to release his next single, anon? They've all had to rush to make sure they get everything out before they enlist. They're not releasing all their music pretty much back to back for the fun of it, I'm sure Yoongi didn't want to bring his album out so soon after Jimin's, and I'm sure Jungkook didn't want to release "3D" so soon after Layover but they really don't have much choice. The timing obviously hasn't been ideal, but they're working with what they've got.
I also would have loved more time to focus on Tae and enjoy the Layover era before anything else came out but it's not Jungkook's fault that all their releases are so close together and I don't think it's fair to call him or any of the other members selfish because of it.

so yk how in hobi’s documentary right at the end he sort of eluded that he’s got one more thing and then that’s it and ost dropped right after, do u think that’ll be the rollout for jimin’s documentaries too? and also i am assuming namjoon will soon release one too? i don’t think there’s space this year for another album considering how fast jungkook is working right now to put something out by nov which means the most jimin could do is a collab or two. i know he’s spoken about more music but i just don’t see one member releasing two albums before enlisting while the others don’t.

Well, I have no clue on what is possible timewise. I think Jimin releasing another mini album depends on a lot of things: timing, budget, does he have enough songs? I really don’t know what to expect. A single or a collab I can see happen. Namjoon seems to be releasing an album next year, but perhaps also a single sooner than that? Time is going by so fast though, I think an announcement will probably come soon.

It's going to be interesting how the reviews and critique of BTS solo era plays out. The words "raw" and "dark" keep coming up, and I think it's easy for solo fans to make the connection to Taemin. He is the most influential soloist in Kpop, and some think he has the corner on such concepts.
However (big however), influence is just that -- shaping or contributing to something in some big or small way. Also there are very specific themes and concepts in TM's art I don't expect to see in either Jimin or JHope's solos. Neither strikes me as one to ruminate on submissiveness from the submissive perspective, in whatever facet. There is also a religious/moral battle at play in his work and a dialogue with sexuality and queerness. It's not that Jimin or JHope will avoid all these themes, or that they should, or that if they utilize one, they're "copying". We'll hopefully be seeing the Jimin take on these or other things that are interesting to his creative mind. And again, if anything looks similar to TM, that doesn't mean he's copying. They are friends. It's influence.

I think it was somewhere last week when I said to an anon something like: were up for an exciting, emotional half year. Lots of music coming out, performances, enlistments... thing are getting heated yeah. I think everyone feels that Jk is going to make an impact. We just know he is going to do well. I have no trouble with that at all, even if Tae is my bias and I think he will have a different effect on the market. Different, but not less. There's several ways to measure succes and I think both Tae and Jk will be succesfull, albeit in slightly different ways maybe. They know that as well. I mean, no-one is mad that Jk hasn't had a Jinny's kitchen kinda thing, or a Suchwita for instance... but those are things that don't suit Jk so they understand. But both Jinny's Kitchen and Suchwita are important things for Tae and Yoongi, yet that doesn't count? I have trust in the members, I think they do what they can in the span of time they have. Tae's promo hasn't even started yet, it will be fine.
