Lol just mentioned Prince Edward to my Pakistani mom and she was like ??? Charles has another brother ??? Was he hiding in the back this whole time ?? Is he the rebellious sibling so the Queen couldn't take him anywhere ?? Where was he hiding ???

i relate to this so much lol. i can't talk about royals with anyone irl because this is the exact reaction i get! i think especially living outside the uk, most people might know the queen, charles (a lot of that involving his relationship with diana), and maybe will and kate, but that's it. my best friend got confused when i told her charles was becoming king because she thought charles was the queen's husband! luckily my mom has always read hello magazine, so she knows enough to know who is who (maybe try to get your mom to read hello?).

this is part of the reason i am so annoyed with the crown, because they had a chance to show stuff about the royals that people didn't know, which they did a good job with the first two seasons, until suddenly it was just telling the same stories everyone knows (thatcher, then charles/diana). the fact that the fergie character was practically a background actress and the other siblings showed up for about one scene each season was the dumbest choice they could have made.

side note, it is a shame not to know about edward because imo, and in the most normal way possible, he was the most attractive of the queen's kids when he was young, even if he went on to make some questionable choices in life.

Spider man into the spider verse. It's pretty, has a great soundtrack and spiderman. OR the nightmare before christmas.

Yuri on Ice. It was one of the first things I watched with queer characters in it but while still having a plot outside of that.

26. What movie would you want to live in?

If I could be a fish in Ponyo, happily swimming along, I think that would be a good time. (I realized halfway through that all of these are animated. And for children. Listen, the moving pictures fascinated me as a child. Uhhh, I'll try and think of one non-animated tv show or movie that would fit into one of these categories... Alice in Wonderland- where she gets a sword a like twelve different dress changes. Jeez that took a long time to think of)
