#my art #feralnette au #birds of a feather #long tags #sorry I went apeshit in the tags #LETS SAY IT ALL TOGETHER NOW #I - M - A - G - OOOOOOOOO #its fun drawing marinette's back to Alya and having her appear stout and unstoppable and totally logical #and then you see her face and she's like two seconds from completely snapping and is keeping it together by a thread #as a note just because mari feels very certainly abt smth doesnt mean she's right. feelings can be valid and also irrational #in the throes of grief she decided it was better to be alone than to lose someone again so she started pulling away #and lila made pulling away very very very easy to do #shes also vaguely aware she's being unfair in pinning this on alya which is why she started spinning the drain on cockmoth again #legitimately all the shit that's happened to her wouldn't have been so catastrophic if he was never in the picture and she knows it #but the bitterness of her bestie choosing a fantastic liar over her at the worst of times stiiiiiings #alya's personal timing was bad but lila really took advantage of the fact that marinette had been acting off and weird #she basically clocked marinette as being unstable from SOMETHING and made up a lie about her #knowing she wouldn't have the strength to defend herself #between her social life going tachy bc of lila and losing fu in a way that felt like personhood death marinette was really put on the spot #and alya doing her thing of busting in there and assuming her bias is correct was a terrible combo #essentially marinette is highly unstable and alya is just realizing that #busting in and giving her a lecture when she's slightly hysterical and definitely delirious from exhaustion is NOT the way #to show her she's self sabotaging #cuz thats just gonna make her double down on self sabotaging. bc marinette will not accept that she is also a CHIIIIILD

#Alastor #hazbin hotel #we know he got shot in the head by a hunter and that’s how he died #and that that’s prob tied to why he’s a deer demon #and radio dial eyes is obv because of his ties to being a radio host in life and now in death #but do we know anything about the stitches and broken neck #in a lot of scenes we see him twist his neck violently #and in his demons forms it’s always crooked #did his neck get snapped during or after he was shot?#I guarantee you that if we ever get a scene where Alston’s neck is bare it will have a fucked up scar or something #I’ve heard theories that the stitches on his mouth could be tied to his constant smile #either that his smile is such an important feature that it became permanent in death #or that whoever he made a deal with made it so he’s not able to actually talk about it #could be both even because in some scenes there’s only stitches in the corner of his mouth and in the deal scene they’re all the way across #personally the stitches in combo with the deer form and the fact he was killed by a hunter makes my mind go to taxidermy #it kind of looks like he was stuffed and stitched up #I’ve also seen people compare his stiches to those voodoo dolls #but I dont know enough about them to make any kind of comparison

i really hate when people treat mabel as The Dumb Twin compared to dipper. the creators have literally said MULTIPLE TIMES that dipper and mabel are of equal intelligence!!! yes she acts silly but she's also 12 years old!!!! the only reason dipper seems "more mature" is bc he has unfathomable levels of anxiety and overthinks everything!!!! and even then he makes some really stupid choices. he's not inherently more rational or smarter he's as much of a little kid as mabel is AGGHHGHH part of me feels like it's also at least partly bc dipper is more of a stem guy while mabel's more artsy and creative. and guess which one of those fields is considered more valuable!

If you think John Dory is a bad character then respectfully, you have no idea what being an oldest sibling is like.

He didn’t abandon his brothers. He was pushed to a point of having to be responsible for four younger brothers, ranging from baby to teenager, trying to coordinate and pull off good if not perfect shows, trying to help Rosiepuff raise both them and himself while also dealing with trollstice and the troll tree while also struggling with an ever growing *need* to be perfect. It doesn’t matter how much you love your siblings- if you’re stressed enough, you’re going to snap and you’re going to snap at them. And you know what? He probably hated himself for that too. And for the fact that he couldn’t be perfect. Any oldest sibling knows the guilt of not being good enough and presumably tearing down their younger siblings in the process…it’s awful. No fuckin wonder he walked away, bro was what, 17?? 18??? He shouldn’t have had to do that. And he didn’t just abandon his brothers knowing what was gonna happen to Branch. From his perspective, he walked away knowing full well Spruce and Clay could step up, and that Rosiepuff would still be there. He had no way of knowing Branch would end up alone and gray, because if he did, he never would have left.

John Dory is not a bad character. He loves his brothers.

Edit: some people are saying he didn’t come back until he needed something. He came back to an empty troll tree- he thought his brothers were dead. He probably only left for a few months or so! He didn’t abandon them. He had every intention to come back and did. His family was just gone.

And yes that includes if someone has positive associations or mixed feelings or anything short of total hatred of harry potter. I am so goddamn sick of people acting like hate campaigns against random ass people is an acceptable response to having had any association with the most popular childrens series of the 2000s at all. I am so goddamn sick of you chucklefucks acting like this is the pinnacle of trans activism or helps us at all. Do you think i give any hint of a fuck about what books someone read as a kid when i exist in the real world as a trans person who is affected by actual legislation? Do you think it helps me at all to be constantly reminded of an incredibly influential person who wants me dead who wont shut up, who you keep feeding attention to like your goddamn life depends on it every time she trolls for outrage on twitter? Do you think that helps us? Do you honestly think it helps us when you start talking about how people should lose their jobs over liking a book?

But sure. That youtuber with a video titled "i played the old and terrible goblet of fire game from start to finish" where they go haha look at how glitchy this is for 45 minutes is the most pressing issue in the world to us.

It also yknow, totally sounds amazing and helpful to how your cause looks to an outsider when you unironically say shit like "if you like that extremely popular book than you must be a terrible bigot who deserves to die." Youre not scaring anybody away and you are presenting us in the most favourable light to somebody on the fence who could still be swayed. Get it together.
