Moomins if it was written by the people who wrote Helluva boss.

* It started off as a wholesome show about Moomintroll and his adventures with his friends and family in Moominvalley, but it turns into an angsty love story between him and snufkin.

* Moomin cheated on Snorkmaiden with Snufkin, but it turns out that she was an abusive b!tch, so they did nothing wrong.

* Moominpappa and Moominmama have a healthy relationship, but only pappa gets any characterization and depth, while Mama's only trait is that she is kind and loyal to her husband.

* Snuff is the shows punching bag and gets constantly mistreated by everyone, but it's okay because abuse is only bad when it happens to our favs.

* Snufkin accidentally killed his mom by dropping his pipe or something on the floor, causing a house fire. He has been traumatized ever since.

* Little My is Snufkin's sister who hates him for what he did to their mother, but since she's a girl, her trauma isn't taken as seriously as it is for snufkin despite her losing the same mom. She's also a drug addict.

* Joxter is Snufkin's abusive father who only exists to make Snufkin's life more miserable.

* The Snork is Snorkmaiden's manipulative gay brother who is more liked in the Fandom than her despite him also being a sh!tty parson.

* Thingumy and Bob are also in the show, but only in the background with no relevance to the plot because I guess the writers wanted to give all their attention to the MLM ships rather than any other sexuality.

*OH! Didn't I tell you that everyone is super horny and swears every 5 seconds?

Ok so i almost finish the first season of moominvalley (2019) and i have to say, i wasnt expenting that. I never watched the old series so the only thing i knew was that there was a green hat boy and some weird white hippos. But im shocked about the actitud everyone have, and the morals of the episodes are so weird and sometimes it doesnt exist? Like none is saying "Oh vandalism is bad" "Lie is bad" "Complaing all the time and not think about the others is bad" No, they are just people that never really learn things from the situations they were put in? In the first episode i was expecting that they tell the lady to leave them and that she has to look better for her kids but they literally leave her and her kids in a turtle swimming into the sea?? And she left little My??? And everyone is ok with that???? Or or the dragon episode, you know sometimes when there is an episode like that and one of the characters is jealous they at the end learn that your friend can have another friends and that doesnt change anything, but Snufkin just fucking gifted the dragon to a random dude and sailed him to the river????? Dude the dragon liked you!!!!

But im liking it a lot, my favs are Snufkin, Moominmama and little My.

I hate it when I dream about seeing an amazing vid on YouTube then waking up and realizing it wasn't real 😭😭😭

Last night I had a dream about a joxmym animatic and it was so dramatic and beautiful and I think it almost made me cry????? It was so soft and there were a lot of flowers and the art style was so beautiful ahhdksgfjshfkskd. The vibes of the song was a mix of Lana del ray and the oh hellos (my favs!!), And the ending was so bittersweet, I think it was snufkin being abandoned in the basket??? And there were even sound effect like it was a movie, istg it was amazing

I just realized that I have 2 books written by Tove Jansson and at the time I didn’t know who she was. Now she became one of my fav authors, she had a beautiful soul. I discovered moomins quite late and at first I was lowkey scared with the early versions but as I started to get to know it more I started to appreciate the tiny aspects of this amazing world.

The first time I read about Snufkin something immediately clicked inside me, an unknown yet familiar feeling. Moomins doesn’t talk only about friendship but also personal struggles, acceptance and love. And I think it’s beautiful

also mymble (oldest). i love her and her vaguely insane approach to parenting. also the fact that she might be snufkin's mum......... love it when a woman is huge and a milf and has antennae

groke. again. she's not particularly popular and ig she could be considered problematic bc some fans view her as the Literal Embodiment of Homophobia (which i personally do not agree with but i do think it's funny lol) and also she can be kinda scary and mean sometimes even if she doesn't always mean to be. she's also a bit pathetic imo she is a poor little meow meow to me

-very big fan of the hc that mymble sent baby snufkin to joxter through mail but he didnt arrive for some reason

-this is one of my own hcs but joxter having a hat collection and also the green hat snufkin wears used to belong to the joxter (maybe the hat being sent along with snufkin in the mail is why snufkin now owns it)

-firm believer that joxter and mymble r bi4bi and also married and also they r both poly (im right)

-this isnt a hc but i love making the more human looking characters more creature like because they are all little creatures!!!!

4. fav character/subject that’s a bitch to draw

i’ll be honest and say that even after 3 months, i still struggle with drawing snufkin ;_; love him dearly but i can’t stand to draw him so often

7. a medium of art you don’t work in but appreciate

watercolors…i’ve always struggled using them but its wonderful to watch other people use them

8. what’s an old project idea that you’ve lost interest in

i’ve scrapped several animatics this year ajsjdkdj…all of them are either moomin related or sam and max related (<- although i’m not too interested in them anymore, so i doubt i’ll have any future art with them)

12. easiest part of body to draw

head/face. that’s all i’ll say

16. something you are good at but don’t really have fun doing

painting is primarily what i do, but i’m not really having fun with it at the moment ;_;

19. favorite inanimate objects to draw

if it isn’t obvious by how much i’ve been painting it within these past few months, i love drawing nature in general…

i love backgrounds (which is a complete contrast to how i thought last year)…i will put my whole soul into it…it’s just fun for me

i can’t point a finger on what i like specifically…there’s so many artists that i like, but i guess i really love those particular styles that take color and run with it…tons of vibrant colors used unique ways. god i love it but i doubt i’d pull it off too well

23. do you use different layer modes

i don’t actually use layer modes!!! (except for the occasional situation where i need to fix colors, etc.) i select colors manually, using nothing but my eyes to figure things out

25. something your art has been compared to that you were not inspired by

a couple years ago, a relative of one of my past friends told me my style reminded him of children’s books. i have no clue how he made these associations but my past self still highly appreciated it

30. what piece of yours do you think is underrated

not too sure…i don’t actually check note counts on my own artwork. i haven’t even taken a liking to most of my pieces except for my most recent one ;_;
