I'm not saying this is canon or anything, obviously it's hard to apply modern conceptions to older writings and we all bring ourselves to our interpretations. That said, there's something really special to me as a queer woman-adjacent person about how Mina loves Lucy and Johnathan. I still think about the scene where Mina watched Lucy sleep and thought about how beautiful she was, how her fiancé will be lucky to see her like this. She segways into thinking about how women in the future will be able to propose to their husbands-to-be. I think Mina has the same love in her voice when looking after Lucy and when looking after Johnathan. And of course finding someone beautiful doesn't have to be romantic. I just like reading Mina as bi/queer and drawing on scenes like these.
So someone (probably one of those annoying HOA members) stuck an anonymous note through the mail slot that said just "Slimes Belong in the Dungeon".
Which, first of all, yes, is obviously rude, but second, I'm not even sure it's remotely accurate. I mean, in JRPGs, aren't slimes found just wandering around all over the place outside? And I mean, sure, JRPGs aren't necessarily reflective of real life, but neither is Dungeons & Dragons or wherever this person got their idea of slimes from. Slimes aren't just a dungeon thing. Slimes are for everywhere. There's nothing wrong with a slime living in a small house in a small picturesque village.
Also, the only reason it's against the HOA regulations is because they changed the HOA regulations after I moved here, and they did it unilaterally without even asking for public input, and I don't think that's fair.
I'm slimegirldick. You can call me Slimey, Anne, or Annie if you want. I'm a bottom leaning switch. I'm 5'11", and I like doms who tower over me, so my life is a struggle (I like little doms too, don't worry). I'm bisexual, transfeminine, polyamorous and overall, very queer. I'm autistic and have ADHD. Autism is undiagnosed because I'm scared of medical discrimination, but anyone who knows me can tell you that it's a sure thing. I also have chronic pain that makes it impossible for me to walk safely without a cane. I'm currently trying to raise money for a wheelchair so I can go out of the house long enough to run errands and spend time with friends. I know my url suggests I'm a slimegirl but I am extremely puppy coded.

PEOPLE WHO EXCLUDE OTHERS FROM THE QUEER AND KINK COMMUNITIES!
Podcast listeners! Do you usually do stuff while you listen to podcasts or listen to podcasts while you do stuff?
This was going to be a poll, but I'm going to keep it as an open answer thing! Do you usually set out to listen to a podcast as the primary activity and do something (play a phone game, play with a stim toy, etc) to keep your focus on the podcast? Do you set out to do chores and put on a podcast as background listening? Do you do both about equally often? Do you have different podcasts for either balance? Tell me about your podcast-listening routines!
I'll go firet - I often "do stuff while I listen to podcasts." I have certain games on my phone that are mindless enough that they serve the need of having something to do with my hands and leave enough focus for the podcast itself to be the primary activity. For some podcasts, especially more episodic ones, I also like to "listen to podcasts while I do stuff," particularly cleaning or cooking. When I have something that needs to get done that can be a little hard to focus on or get started, a podcast can keep me company!
Feel free to use this as an excuse to tell me about your favorite podcasts too! Let's get the word out! :D
So there's a little mold growing on my left shoulder, and I'm debating whether I should scrape it off or leave it alone and see if it spreads and gives me a coat of fur.
