“Slimefoot is a Thallid which grew out of a small spore attached to the hull of the reconstructed skyship Weatherlight on Dominaria. As such it became an unofficial member of Captain Jhoira's crew.
This thallid is something like a mascot and a deck swab, tending a herd of saprolings that help keep the ship clean. Slimefoot is harmless, somewhat adorable, and useful, so Jhoira and the rest of the crew tolerate the thallid's presence. gonna ramble about my Weatherlight crew Modern AU under the cut bc. I'm love them
They're a band!
Jhoira - lead singer, Tiana's gf; they met in a physics class. She's an engineer, but her most precious talent is her ability to fix the oldest of clocks. She's very popular with antique collectors and old people for this reason.
Shanna - guitar and backing vocals; she is a historian and genealogist. She plays various sports with the local women's leagues and sometimes helps coach the young kids at the YMCA. (sorry idk any other like, community sports things, so YMCA we go)
Tiana - drummer, Jhoira's gf; working on her physics and engineering double major degrees. She works at the same automechanic shop as Arvad and owns a gorgeous Cadillac she personally restored. Tinkers with machines she and Jhoira build in her spare time. Made herself a taser for fun.
Arvad - bassist; he works at the same automechanic shop as Tiana, and gardens in his free time. He owns the band's dog and mascot, Slimefoot (a raggedy sheepdog who appeared in his garage one day as a puppy and he kept). Has an Associates in Business but only because his parents wanted him to get one (like 20 years ago). Sometimes helps keep books at the shop. Eldest of the group. Assigned Uncle Figure.
Raff - keyboard; met Tiana when she was practicing in the college band room. Freshman in college who graduated from high school two years early due to his intelligence. Isn't sure what he wants to do in life, but is passionate about an endless amount of subjects.
also my hcs are Jhoira is bi, Tiana is bi but greatly prefers women, Shanna is a lesbian, Arvad is bi, and Raff is bi/pan (he doesn't care what you call him) and trans!
