Regna = TadaAi
I feel like Regna = TadaAi, but the roles are reversed. Like Reki = Adam, but he’s the teacher & Langa = Tadashi, but he is the student. However, Regna is still  parallel to TadaAi.
Reki and Adam are both emotionally sensitive and rely on others for self-worth. An example of Reki doing that would be when he realize that his skills will never match Langa. Because Langa surpasses him in everyway during a short amount of time, he feels worthless and believes that he’ll never be able to achieve that. Thus spending 2/3 episodes just moping around feeling unworthy. it wasn’t until the love hotel scene did he realize that it’s okay for your friends to be better at something.
An example of Adam being emotionally sensitive is during his childhood + early(ish) teen years, but i won’t mention all of it now. The specific incident i want to talk about is during the skateboard burning. Because his boyfriend only friend did his job instead of standing up for him, he feels betrayed. Thus turn to masking. i’m assuming that during his time in America he use his feeling of betrayal and hurt to render a skating persona to deal with everything he’s been through.
What sets Reki apart from Adam is the former’s ability to accept the reality of the situation and having supportive friends. Reki had at least Miya and Oka to try and help him realize that being in 2nd is fine. Adam had no one to tell him that Tadashi didn’t mean to hurt him.
Langa and Tadashi are emotionally ignorant, which ends up hurting their lover friend.  Langa was unaware that he had hurt Reki when he broke a promise and Tadashi was unaware that he had hurt Adam when he did his job.
For Langa, Reki and him had made a promise that the latter wouldn’t join the race or he wouldn’t race against Adam (don’t remember which one), but he went behind Reki’s back. What sets Langa apart from Tadashi was that he had someone (his mom) telling him that what he did was fucked up, but the relationship can still be amended. Langa had someone to help him realize that what he did was wrong. Tadashi also had someone, but that took time.
For Tadashi, it was instilled since childhood that he couldn’t be in love friends with his master. I’m assuming during his childhood that he, or Ainosuke, was greatly punish for the relationship. The pain form the forbidden relationship cause Tadashi to internalized the sentiment that he’s only good as a servant to the Shindo family, nothing more.  Because Tadashi didn’t want to cause anymore trouble, he pressured his master to leave skateboarding, and even went so far as to disrespect Adam in his comfort place turf. It wasn’t until the hotel scene that Tadashi realize that he dumb fucked up.
In conclusion, Regna = TadaAi. That’s all I have, I just needed to send this out.

To Reki’s knowledge, Langa has never kissed anyone before, while Reki’s experience starts and ends with his first boyfriend. But they were two kids too shy to hold hands even when alone, so the handful of kisses shared between them were exclusively one-second pecks followed by giggle fits.
It was nothing at all like this.
This, Langa’s slightly chapped lips, warm and tentative against his own; his fingers twirling through Reki’s hair, toying with his headband elastic; his beautiful face beholden Reki’s palms, the whole world breathing rhythmic, shallow wind gusts across his cheeks.
the story continues…?

keep seeing posts ab tamaki suoh’s influence on baby weeb adrien (ty @anna-scribbles) but I think they’re all weebs here’s what I think they would dress up as for Halloween (adrien: tamaki suoh (ohshc), marinette: sailor moon, alya: gon freecs (hxh), nino: tanjiro (demon slayer))
my head canons under the cut
adrien: I think he would enjoy a lot of “old” animes esp stuff like fruits basket like I think these would hold a lot of nostalgia for him I can definitely see him enjoying animes like horimiya (esp bc of that secret identity element) but like . maybe horror/thrillers as well like i think he would enjoy the promised neverland
marinette: i want to say shoujo like I definitely see her watching shoujo and obviously sailor moon elements in her transformation but I think that’s more of a comfort anime for her? I think Marinette would enjoy shounen works as well especially ones that kind of toe the line (ex. Sk8 the infinity). i think she would really like darling in the Franx as well (robot mechs and romance what is not to like—fits with her mecha strike obsession too)
alya: definitely action packed animes especially long ones I see her enjoying jjk, hunter x hunter, bsd and again definitely anything with a superhero component like bnha but I also see her enjoying action-comedies like spyxfamily
nino: big shounen fan, like definitely watched every ep of Naruto and dragon ball z as a kid and I see him gravitating towards fantasy action like demon slayer and chainsaw man. he definitely watched one piece methinks
SORRY FOR THE WORD VOMIT EHFKEFKHEKHF give me ur head canons Too!!

Winter 2024 Anime Review
Tumblr media
Solo Leveling - 24 Episodes
This has been and will be my most anticipated series. We've only scratched the surface of the story and people are going nuts. I've been reading the light novel translations for a while now and I'm not even a little ready for when certain things are animated.
Easily one of the best anime adaptations out there. More to look forward to.
Sidenote - A1 is killing the animations considering it's one of their bigger ones in a while.
Also - they did a really solid job with the sound design, a lot of the timing made certain scenes feel just that much more intense.
9/10 - Amazing
Tumblr media
Frieren - 28 episodes
Such a unique watching experience.
I think so many shows these days are fast paced, and action oriented, especially within the fantasy genre. This is such a relaxing and enjoyable watch.
The story is moving and the animations are warm and fuzzy.
Not much I'd change about the series.
10/10 - Masterpiece
Tumblr media
The Apothecary Diaries - 24 Episodes
The second half of this series kept up with the flow of the first half really well. I feel like that shouldn't be a feat but it really is these days.
I genuinely love watching the subtleties of the romance in this series and the medical mystery cases are just as fun to watch.
The story has so many little bits and pieces working throughout the show and the last episode had me wrecked for reasons I never saw coming.
Just overall a big fan of this series.
9/10 - Amazing
Tumblr media
Delicious in Dungeon - 12/24 Episodes
This series has no right to be this much fun.
The animations match the energy of the show so well and I think it's one of the best "entertainment" series of the season.
I was worried it would start to repeat itself but found that the characters become the highlight of the series and I looked forward to every episode.
(This is the series this season that I'm high-key obsessed with.)
8.5/10 - Very Good+
Tumblr media
Shangri-La Frontier - 25 Episodes
One of the most fun looking MMORPG animes I've seen. I remember reading the teaser manga a while ago and was stoked to see it animated. Just a genuinely well done gamer oriented series.
They do such a good job at showing exactly the kinds of small things gamers pay attention to and some of the combat learning is stellar.
Not to mention the sound track honestly did not need to go as hard as it did?!
Really hoping they continue on with this for another season.
8/10 - Very Good
Tumblr media
Bucchigiri?! - 12 Episodes (Updated)
I haven't seen any coverage for this show for some reason. It's a one shot that Mappa animated. The story felt quite slow but I personally had fun with it, the character design was satisfying - gives a bit of Jojo's and SK8 vibes. After a few weeks I couldn't stop thinking about it and went back - it ends up being a decently satisfying story. It's rare to see single season shows and I think that was really refreshing.
(Opening and ending are both bangers)
7.5/10 - Good+
Mashle - Season 2 - 12 Episodes
I decided to watch this once all the episodes had aired. I found that it's not one you can be in the mood to watch all the time, but when you are it's just as hilarious as the first season.
I've enjoyed the pacing of the story and I'm looking forward to future seasons.
7.5/10 - Good+
Unwanted Undead - 12 Episodes
Another series I read the manga for when it premiered. There's something about this series that gets me hooked. While the animations aren't anything of note, I find the story is oddly unique and I ended up bingeing all the episodes in one go. Definitely one I'm curious to see where it goes.
7/10 - Good
Tumblr media
Mr. Villain's Day Off - 12 Episodes
This is purely for my own personal interest in attractive moody villains with alter ego's. It's a lot of fun to watch and it's just so wholesome.
That's it.
7/10 - Good

Hii I was wondering if I could ask for sk8 Langa and Cherry with a s/o who went against Adam and he attacked s/o worse than any of the others?
FIRST SK8 REQUEST?!? Thank you for your ask!!
Tumblr media
LANGA knew that adam was intimidating, but he had faith that you could handle yourself against him. his reservations outweighed his want to support you, and so he tucked them away and opted for cheering you on and supporting you throughout the race. he was just the same as you, eager to get out there and skate against someone so skilled. everything would work out.
the race was going smoothly until half way through the track, it appeared that adam was getting ready to make some sort of move that you were unaware of. it came quick, adam turning around and running full speed using his board as a club to attack you with. langa could only stare and exclaim in fear as he watched you get hit with all the strength adam could muster on the giant tvs. he immediately went after you, pushing past the crowds of people to retrieve your unconscious figure from the track. joe followed and insisted on driving you to the hospital, langa not even bothering trying to convince him to tag along, but simply stating that he’d accompany you. he sat nervously in the hospital for a long while until he was forced to head home, but even a conversation with joe reassuring him that you’d be alright couldn’t calm his nerves.
he felt guilty that he didn’t voice more of his anxious feelings toward the race. maybe if he did, it would’ve prompted you to be more attentive to any dangerous tricks. the rest of his evening was spent getting lost in his guilty consciousness, and he was quieter and slower until your full recovery. even when you were discharged and feeling better than ever did langa feel horrible for not saying anything at all. you managed to snap him out of his all-consuming self loathing however, repeating firmly that he wasn’t responsible for your injury. a small kiss on his cheek solidified that. langa makes a note from the experience to work on communicating his feelings a little bit better with you.
CHERRY knew firsthand what adam was capable of. he was all too familiar with his style of skating (if you could even call it that). so admittedly he was nervous when you told him you’d be skating against the maniac. he was slightly surprised and was vocal in his concerns, reminding you of his wicked tricks and the danger of going up against him. you were insistent however, wanting to take the chance to beat him, if not that then improve in skill. cherry wasn’t going to force you out of the race, so he very reluctantly accepted it.
his eyes never left the screens displaying the race, constantly analyzing your move. even when he saw you doing well, his worry didn’t falter. his breath hitched as he watched adam prepare an all too familiar attack against you, his fears becoming reality right before his eyes. he wasted no time locating you and using carla to examine your condition after you collapsed. cherry comes off cool and collected when informing the others about your state, simply stating the known facts, but everyone could tell that he was tense with the deep frown etched in his face and the slight gruffness in his voice.
he sat by your bed and watched as you rested, planning a “i told you so" lecture for when you were feeling better. cherry mostly felt awful for not interfering more with your decision, however. he knew that adam was dangerous and was almost sure to pull some sort of stunt that would end up hurting you, but he still let you go out on the track. he used carla to monitor your recovery and took it upon himself to take care of you even when you got discharged from the hospital. he was scared for you, and it came out in the form of anger. you apologized for letting yourself be so careless, and cherry couldn’t help but deflate at the genuine guilt in your voice. he flicked you over the head with his fan and assured you that the sole person responsible was adam. cherry paid for all the food you wanted at kojiro's restaurant (and made him treat you occasionally as well) to make up for the guilt he felt.

JJK AND THEIR COFFEE ORDERS
sk8 the infinity ver. here !
nobara is definitely a frappuccino girly. love, love, loves sugar cookie flavouring, too, in a large cup with a straw because “it feels like i’m a girlboss that way.” she said it, not me.
yuuji is pretty picky with his coffee? isn’t a huge fan of it, but when he does have it, it’s a double-double accompanied by a pastry. he doesn’t adventure too far from his usual order, other than trying out a new or seasonal drink.
megumi drinks it black. straight from the beans. foul creature.
geto gives hazelnut syrup vibes… don’t worry, i will elaborate. he likes an espresso shot with latte foam art and steamed oat milk, all mixed together with two pumps of hazelnut syrup. otherwise, he’s mostly a tea person.
gojo doesn’t even want to taste the coffee’s bitter flavour… he wants it completely masked by sugar and by sugar alone. four-milk-six-sugar-in-a-medium sort of man. drinking straight candy, is what it is.
nanami was a religious coffee drinker back when he worked that 9-5, so he was not particularly partial to any coffee order if the caffeine was doing its job. as long as it didn’t taste like burnt shit water, he doesn’t care all too much. enjoys a nice café trip where he can sit and relax every now and then.
maki is a cold brew enthusiast, but also drinks it black (as in, no milk), though takes a few vanilla shots with it and another sweetener. likes the essence of the coffee taste, but mostly prefers sweetness over the bitterness.
inumaki is an avid iced coffee fan to the point where sub-arctic conditions do not daunt him. he usually rotates his order from an iced psl or mocha with maki or yuuta to order for him (for obvious reasons). he’ll down whatever size they give him. insanity.
yuuta reacts so poorly to caffeine, it’s hilarious in hindsight but i can’t help but pity him… poor boy is already anxious enough as it is, he can’t tell the difference between the coffee jitters and his usual shakiness. plus, he gets the shits. doesn’t like it, but will have one the rare occasion.
panda doesn’t drink coffee. he’s a panda.
mahito would spit it out immediately along with a vile string of profanities if he ever got the chance to even try coffee.
kenjaku (using geto) hated the idea that he was getting used to drinking something so gently-flavored and sweet. had it anyways, but would always order tea if given the choice.

Bucchigiri?! Episode 1 Review - Hiroko Utsumi Is Back
After the success that was SK8 The Infinity, Hiroko Utsumi returns with another original anime. She sets aside the skater boys and goes for delinquent boys and genies this time around. Will it live up to the hype surrounding her name and trajectory? It’s only the first episode, so I need to see if it’ll be as great as SK8.
Tumblr media
From the first episode alone, I liked it. It’s pretty zany, as true to the Hiroko Utsumi formula of having very illogical premises work. The story is about Arajin Tomoshibi transferring to a delinquent high school in hopes of getting a girlfriend and losing his virginity. He then gets involved in school gang fights. Oh, and he finds a djinni who wants to grant his wish. The genie then gives him tremendous strength as a condition to his wish.
You can see that there are a lot of references to Arabian Nights. Other than the concept of djinns and wishes, you can see that Arajin is very Chinese-themed from his outfit to his family’s restaurant being a Chinese one. This is because the original story of Arabian Nights had Aladdin, the character he’s based on, as a Chinese boy. The buildings in this story are all Arabian-inspired buildings. So, this is actually a very creative part on Utsumi. I’m not too familiar with other Arabian Nights stories, so I’m not sure what other references there are.
There are so many characters to keep up with. However, I do like what I’ve seen so far. Arajin is arguably a bit one-sided at first glance as his only defining trait is his desire to get laid, but there could be a reason why he does this when he’s with Matakara. Matakara is this show’s version of Makoto Tachibana, a nice beefy dude who’s childhood friends with the black-haired MC. However, they had separated for five years before reuniting. Matakara seems like a nice guy—the ways Utsumi writes nice guys is that if they’re nice, they’ll always be nice. The other characters are pretty one-note, but I’m sure I’ll see more later on. The character I’m most interested in is Marito, who is very sultry. However, the best character so far is Arajin’s mother. She’s so cute and a super embarrassing but loving parent.
The djinn is actually a lot cuter than I expected. The trailers had him as this hulking spirit that looks all serious and straight-laced, but he’s very cute. Like, he hangs around Arajin and even watches TV in his house. He’s super chill and friendly, contrary to his appearance. Like, I think he might be the dark horse in terms of stand-out characters because I didn’t expect this character to be so freaking adorable.
What surprises me the most is that Utsumi is actually using a female lead, or a heroine, for this story. If you’re familiar with Utusumi’s works, she really likes ‘fujo-bait’ shows. With Free, there are a few female characters but none of them are too significant other than Gou who isn’t the female lead; the main characters are all male. With Banana Fish, there aren’t that many female characters as the main characters are primarily male; Eiji, a male, is arguably the heroine of the show. With SK8, there are some females, but they’re mainly supporting characters as the show is about guys who like skateboarding. I think this is the first time Utsumi is using a heroine for her works. Mahoro is so important that she’s even the main focus in the ending—this has never happened before. However, how important she will be will depend as she’s mainly a sadistic brocon who gets turned on by her brother Marito beating up her potential suitors.
Because this is animated by MAPPA, the animation is very good. I just hope they’re treating their animators well this time. Workplace abuse is a huge no for me. The anime feels very over the top, but also well-animated in that regard. The fights are handled great, but there’s also the mix of the classic Utsumi fan service sprinkled in; she clearly loves back muscles as she emphasized Matakara’s a lot.
The voice actor choices are actually very surprising. You’d assume there would be a cast of new faces, but not exactly. While there are some new faces like Anna Nagase, there are a lot of veterans and voice actors who aren’t well-known. For example, Arajin’s voice actor, Genki Okawa, was in Yugioh Zexal as Mizael, but other than that, he isn’t a big name. Some big named veterans in the cast are Nozomu Sasaki as Marito; he voiced Johan Liebert from Monster, Eriol Hiiragizawa from Cardcaptor Sakura, and Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho. Other big names like Kappei Yamaguchi (Inuyasha, Ranma Saotome), Makoto Furukawa (Saitama), and Ryota Takeuchi (Elias from The Ancient Magus’s Bride, Ushijima from Haikyu) are casted here but I don’t know who their characters are because there are so many introduced from the get go. The other voice actors are small names, but I do hope they get big. Everyone deserves a chance at the spotlight!
Overall, I’m a huge sucker for Hiroko Utusumi’s works so I might be a bit biased in this review. However, I can say for a fact that her works are always entertaining to watch. I hope this one is the same. If you’re watching this show, what are your thoughts?

Hello!! sorry for disturbing you , but I would like to ask you one thing about sk8
someone in tik tok posted a video about sk8 s2( and said it was confirmed by official english inst account (https://instagram.com/sk8theinfnity?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ==)
i was really confused...in their actual in inst they said that all the stuff is working on s2 right now. is that account really official? they are associated with the studio bones?? or its just fan-created?
as i know, sk8 project have only japanese official account in Instagram and twitter
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH 😭😭
Hi!
I'm 100% sure that account is not actually official. They're following Toei who has nothing to do with SK8 and their current story right now is about Bucchigiri which, while it is an Utsumi anime, it is animated by a completely different company than SK8 so the likelihood they would be marketed together is extremely slim.
They're making some really odd decisions for an "official" account. They were also following some random guy back when I answered an ask about it before which made it even more shady.
What I assume is the post you're talking about has a link to a teespring store and it is absolutely selling bootleg merch. Please don't buy merch from this place.

[TEN - EXTRA]
masterlist.

Note: Song used for Cartman's phone call is Sk8 Head by City Morgue
Tumblr media
Eric Cartman was a character of greed, of manipulation, of exploiting those he believed inferior to him. Unfortunately for everyone else, Eric Cartman believed EVERYONE to be inferior.
He did not care for ethics nor did he care about morals, if a friend of his needed help he wouldn't even bat an eye in their general direction. Cartman was a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason. As stupid as that may sound, it's why Cartman got into the show business, into the world of entertainment, of fame.
It's why he created the podcast with his on and off again girlfriend, Heidi Turner. He wanted to cause karma. He wanted to show the world that when he exposes people for the whole internet to see, it's because they deserved it. Sure, he likes hating on people and sure he likes shit talking about people he knows, but all in all, for Cartman, his podcast is a way to bring shitty people down a notch, to show the world, "Hey, your favorite, is problematic." Why? It creates fame, it gives Cartman status.
And there is nothing more in the world that Cartman loves more that status.
It isn't rare for Cartman to get dms or business emails from people, influencers, fans, the works, trying to give him some gossip about their lives and who to expose next. What he doesn't often get? Phone calls.
For the past half hour, Cartman has received 14 missed calls and 3 voice messages from an unknown number claiming to have some of the world's most gossipiest information. Part of him would like to listen to the voicemails, but the voice changer that obviously masks the actual pitiful voice of the caller gives Cartman major cringe vibes.
Tumblr media
"Who cares who you with? Are you scared? You scared! Who car--" Cartman groans and presses the end call for the umpteenth time that night, "Jesus fuck, give it a rest already, if I ain't answerin' then it's for a god damn good reason."
"Hmm..maybe you should answer it? Or at the very least just block it, Eric." Heidi hums out, spinning back and forth in her chair.
"I like the attention," Cartman answers back simply, Heidi scoffs at that with a "Of course you do."
"Just, all I'm saying is give the phone call a shot! You really never know if it's something good or not, and hey, if it turns out to be worthless information, you can at least slander the phone caller next podcast episode!" Heidi inwardly cringes at the idea she gave Cartman, but in her defense, she's sick and tired of hearing Cartman's phone ring for the hundreth time that night.
Cartman thinks for a moment, before turning around to face Heidi, "Heidi, I love you so much. You're right, I could just slander them next podcast! And expose their phone number if their information is worthless!"
Heidi offers a tight lipped awkward smile before working more on some details for the next podcast episode.
Cartman puts his feet up, now eager for the next phone call to come in, "Any minute now." Cartman thinks.
As soon as the thought leaves his mind, sure enough his phone starts ringing, "Hello?" Cartman picks up the phone and answers.
"Eric Cartman. You just now decide to pick up?" The changed voice questions.
"Hey! I'm a very busy man, do you know how many fake phone calls I get? I had to make sure you had some legit information, run a little test. You passed, of course." Cartman sneers out and Heidi glances up at him in fake amusement.
"I have a test of my own for you, Eric."
"Don't call me that--"
"The test is simple, answer a few questions, and you get your information." The voice on the phone sings out.
"The fuck? What kind of bullshit is this?"
Instead of responding to Cartman's last sentence, the man continues on, "How important are your friends?"
"What?"
"How. Important. Are. Your. Friends. Eric Cartman."
"Dude what the fuck? Are you some psycho? Like are you the next Ghostface? The fuck is this?" Cartman asks, bewildered. At this point Heidi has stopped working on her scripts and details and is fully engrossed into the one sided conversation she hears Cartman having on the phone.
"Answer, Eric."
"Jesus christ, I said not to call me that.." Cartman sighs heavily, "I guess they're somewhat important, I mean compared to other things they might not be but--"
"What about comparing them to your podcast?" The voice cuts him off.
"Okay, you're acting like a dick, do NOT cut me off dude. I don't care how juicy this information is, you're acting like a dick. SECOND, in comparison to that, whatever gets me the most views is what's important to me, so how does my friends fit into THAT, huh?" Cartman spits out venomously.
Silence takes over the phone call.
Cartman is about to hang up when he hears a faint, "You passed. Expect an email soon." And the phone is hung up.

ranking anime pt 1
ranking a few of my favourite animes in terms of plot and characters
Bungo Stray Dogs (the manga) i'm actually a pretty new fan but its def the best mangas i've ever read. and notice how i say manga, not anime. the anime actually kind of sucks. the plot is very interesting and intriguing, and all the characters are very well-written. idk where asagiri got the idea of taking historical poets and authors and turning them into hot manga characters from, but i love it. its a very cool concept. you def need to read all the side stories to understand whats happening at times, but you can easily find the side stories on sus illegal websites or just buy them (or watch the anime adaptations). atsushi is a well-written main character and dazai's personality literally has my mind running in circles. this is a manga that makes you think a lot, but if you like literature, def give Bungo Stray Dogs a shot. you won't regret it!
Toilet Bound Hanako-kun (the manga) notice how i said manga again (the anime could do so much better). the art style for this book is AMAZING and the characters are SO WELLWRITTEN. like the title is a bit weird you I SWEAR YOU WONT REGRET IT IF YOU READ IT. its literally the best mixture of romance, comedy, horror, and mystery. its sort of a slowburn and i wish hanako's backstory will be revealed soon because im literally dying to know what ACTUALLy happened between him and tsukasa. and i want to know how nene and hanako's relationship grows!
Spy x Family this is the perfect comedy-action anime to watch with your family and friends. the concept is cool and its fun to see how anya, loid, and yor's relationship grows! I want to know what will happen at the end and if loid and yor actually stay together. its a very good anime and i highly recommend it.
Jujutsu Kaisen i'm a fairly new fan of jjk but i really love it! at first i had to read it a couple times because of all the fast explanations for cursed energy and stuff, but i think i've memorized it all now. yuji is a very interesting main character, and its nice to see his internal struggles with hosting the most evil cursed monster alive. his struggles of accepting his fate and his struggles of losing the people he loves is something that i like seeing (not in a sadistic way) because it accurately shows his character development. i love the strong female characters (shoko, maki, utahime, etc etc) and the subtle inclusion of the lgbtq community (kirara, mai, megumi, etc etc). the character developments in this series in CRAZYY like i actually love it so much. what i don't like is how some of the explanations are a little nonsensical and they pass over the important stuff too quickly. but overall, its a very good series and i recommend it!
Sk8 the Infinity i was so sad when season one of Sk8 ended, because it was really good. i hope they make season two soon. sk8 is so good because it shows reki's struggles, just like how gege shows itadori's struggles. the characters develop nicely, and the relationships between the characters are shown nicely. its a very fruity anime that i HOPE will end like yuri on ice (with reki and langa getting together BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE FOR IT TO BE CANON) its short but sweet and i highly recommend!
The Promised Neverland (the manga) i CANNOT express how much i DESPISE the anime. i HATE IT SO FCKING MUCH. anyways, the manga is pretty good. its another series that works your brain a lot, and it kinda makes me sad because there are literal eleven year olds being smarter than me 😭i personally really like isabella and yugo's characters, and i sort of dislike emma's desire to save the demons. like girliepop pulled the main character card and said "i wanna save everyone so no one has to suffer!" personally i would've gone with norman and ray's plan sooooooo....i also dislike how emma loses her memory at the end. i know it was really important, but i wish she could've gotten her memories back after reuniting with them again because in the canon manga, she CANT remember a SINGLE THING which means ALL THE THINGS SHE DID WITH HER FAMILY are just GONE. i actually screamed when i read that she never got her memory back. i also wish the author had maybe specified a bit more on isabella and ray's relationship as mother and son. anyways, a pretty decent story with good characters.
Demonslayer this is actually my favourite anime. I love it so much. ive read the manga over ten times and it has tanjiro, one of my all-time favourite anime characters. the reason its ranked so low is because of how simple the plot is and how it sort of repeats the action scenes. some of the characters could def be written better, but there was a lot of very good characters as well. tanjiro's character is written so well, and so is shinobu's. i wish we saw more of rengoku before he was killed off after like thirty minutes of screentime, and i wish the author hadn't killed off obanai and mitsuri at the end. that kind of made me mad. but they were reincarnated happily, so its ok! there are some nonsensical explanations and some random things here and there. people say its only because of the animation, and even though the animation is what makes it popular, i personally think that the story itself isn't that bad. its good, and i recommend.
Haikyuu haikyuu is like THE sport anime. its good and its actually taught me alot about volleyball. its also the reason i started playing volleyball. im the libero on my team 💪 its very exaggerated, but the characters are well written and the team's struggle as a whole is laid out well. i like the concept and the main character (hinata) is acc so funny like i love him so much. its the first anime i watched, and its def not the genre i would watch as a first choice, but for a sports anime, haikyuu is really wellmade. the reason its ranked low is because i'm not very interested in it anymore/not really my thing
My Hero Academia i was OBSESSED with this last year. like it was the literal reason i was living. but now that i go back to read it again, its sort of repetitive and deku has become WAYYYY too OP. it started off with a cool concept, but the author has been dragging it out for wayy too long. the fighting scenes are all the same and deku needs to put aside his "good side" and actually take actions that will be for the better, like KILLING OF SHIGARAKI INSTEAD OF WANTING TO 'SAVE HIM' LIKE WHAT?? i also hate how uraraka's whole personality has just become "i have a crush on deku" and i kinda hate how the author portrays uraraka's relationship with toga. i actually kind of despise this anime.
and yeah there you have it :)

Heeeeyyyyyy I’ve never partook in the Sk8 fandom before because a very large amount of you are so deep in this new wave of fandom purity culture that it makes the fandom no fun to be in.
I watched Sk8 as it came out, and it was love at first sight. I loved the animation, the races, how colorful and stylish everything was, and I really related to Reki’s struggle with imposter syndrome and overall in just think it’s a great show that I love very much.
But I also found myself relating to Adam quite a bit. His struggle with his strict family, having to be two faced around your family and among your friends/community, wearing a figurative mask and wanting to be anonymous out of fear that your family will discover something about you that you don’t want them to see. It really struck a cord with me, I saw a major part of my life in him, as a queer person.
But no every single person who finds a shred of humanity in his character is called a p*do apologist. Cool guys, very mature. He’s a villain, everyone knows that, he does some p*do shit. News flash, he’s also not real, he can’t hurt anyone. Nobody who likes his character is a p*do you absolute dinguses. Who are you people? Are you the same people that call Rocky Horror problematic? Cuz Adam shares an incredible amount of similarities with Dr. Frankenfurter and everyone loves him (obviously what an icon). Do you guys just not like complex characters? Does every character have to be a paragon of morality? A villain makes the story. Adam is the reason the story happens, he causes the rift. What do people censor his name in this fandom? Like literally some of yall type shit like “ad*m” not even as a joke. Why do people refuse to acknowledge such an important part of why the story of Sk8 is so good?
Remember that one time that multiple Sk8 fanzines banned any content relating to Adam so a group of fans made an Adam focused zine? And someone reported it for sexual misconduct in and attempted to get it canceled only for PayPal to find no violations upon investigation??? Very mature guys.
I’ve been afraid to post anything about how I related to several aspects of Adam’s character and enjoyed how goofy of a villain he was because I was afraid of the purity culture mob making incredibly horrible accusations. I don’t think people realize how nasty and horrible calling someone a p*do apologist is. You don’t know what you are doing throwing those words around all willy nilly. Yall are the ones that are fucking things up. Literally censoring the existence of a character, what a joke. What are you gonna do next, burn any book with a queer character who just sucks? Yall would hate Anne Rice. No Interview with the Vampire? One of the most important works of vampire fiction that exists?Gonna burn some Rocky Horror DVDs and censor one of the most important queer movies of all time just because the villain was a murderer and sexual deviant??? Go to English class and learn some god damn media literacy. Pull that stick out of your ass and laugh a funny camp villain. See humanity in pieces of shit people because none of you are angels. That’s what’s great about fiction. You can do all that in the safety of unreality.

hello wonderful mutual, may i inquire what shaman king is?
Tumblr media
you've triggered an unskippable cutscene be prepared. was it me calling hana kentacoded that did it for you
shaman king is uh... certainly something
editor's note I go on about the history of the shaman king media franchise for like. way too long and I'm not deleting it so. plot summary starts after the flowers anime image
it started out as a shonen adventure manga created by a mangaka named hiroyuki takei which ran from 1998 to 2004, where it somehow Ate Shit And Died, leaving the manga ending unfinished somehow (idk I wasn't there)
it got its first anime adaptation in 2001
Tumblr media
this anime had 64 episodes and covered a complete story. hey goose but if it aired in 2001 and the manga ate shit in 2004 how did they- they didn't. they made shit up. remember kanata dying on the cross? take that extend it to cover half the story and make it FUCKING AWESOME
shaman king 2001 has this impeccable Vibe to it that I really love (the only other thing I can think of with similar impeccable Vibes is sk8). a lot of fans prefer this anime to the manga and I can't blame them it sure has its perks. it also has its downsides. which is mostly terrible dated character designs and diverging from the manga if you're not into that.
I love this show though this is what I rewatch when I want any old shaman king in my spare time
but what's this? a whisper on the wind? that's right baby
SHAMAN KING KANZENBAN MANGA
Tumblr media
that's right- between 2008 and 2009 the entire manga was reprinted to get its "true ending", including redraws of some panels
later in 2012 BAM SHAMAN KING FLOWERS
Tumblr media
yes there's a full mainline sequel. flowers itself ended in 2014 when the magazine it was in Ate Shit and Died. the story was continued in another manga, The Super Star, before last year the magazine publishing TSS, say it with me now,
Ate Shit and Died (yeah Takei has real bad luck with that)
and then, just a few years ago...
BAM SHAMAN KING 2021 REBOOT ANIME
Tumblr media
finally, an anime adaptation of the kanzenban manga, true ending including... this is where I show up. finally! I needed something to watch on a long car ride in august 2021 and happened to download the first eight episodes on netflix, a decision which would have no repercussions on my life philosophies or me as a person (lies)
there are pretty mixed feelings about this anime overall (the pacing goes fucking BRRRRRRR that's for sure) but I can credit that thing with getting me into shaman king and restructuring my brain so it has a special place in my heart
(it's also what I first get people to watch when they agree to shaman king with me. you should really read kanzenban instead because it's better)
lastly there's the flowers anime airing right now
Tumblr media
(yay excitingggggg)
and like. soooooo many more sequel prequel and spinoff manga. and also all of takei's works (I'm planning to read ultimo soon because someone said that's where the spirit based on the vermilion bird came from and that has a common ancestor with allen sugasano so I'm going) oh shit and funkuro/funbari chronicles the mobile game that is either closed or on its way out. and so much more
I'm not going to explain every one of them because I realized you probably wanted. a plot summary. so
copy pasted from my mankin slideshow:
"laid-back Asakura Yoh is a shaman, someone with a connection to the afterlife. He participates in the Shaman Fight, a tournament to determine the next god. Hao, a mysterious and overwhelmingly strong shaman, wants to use the powers gained from becoming a god to wipe out humanity. Shenanigans ensue across multiple continents and the boundaries of life and death."
like I said before it's a shonen adventure manga so it follows a lot of tropes, but I think it does them pretty well and in its own way. if you read through the entire mainline manga (kanzenban, flowers, and tss) it's clear takei has a lot to say through his work and he's pretty explicit about his view of the world (shoutout to evil triangle who invented capitalism)
takei's writing and research can be kinda iffy at times and I would never say his work is for everyone but I love it to bits and it has really helped me out over the years
my personal favourite pieces of shaman king media (besides kanzenban) are:
Red Crimson (spinoff of the main sequels following an adult legacy cast, brilliant story about love and grief except for the Horrors)
& a Garden (prequel spinoff about the hanagumi witches, side characters from the first manga)
2001 anime (explained this one already)
if this has interested you go read the kanzenban manga and then come back for sequel recommendations
need more information? I got you
my beginner's shaman king slideshow (if you're reading this within an hour of posting you might see me updating it dw about that)
the patch cafe fansite which has up to date news about the entire series
there's also the funbari hill discord's tumblr account, which reblogs a lot of great shaman king stuff. everyone there is lovely and it's a great community (it's actually run by a mutual of mine hi frost 👋)
I ALMOST FORGOT THE SEQUELS FANSITE WHOOPS (run by an incredible artist and has some fun information about the sequels)
please tell me if you want clarification or more specifics I'm bad at explaining this concisely

Heyyy! You got any request rules?? :)
Tumblr media
Hello, dear wi-2006. I do indeed have request rules, they can be found here. Let's just hope the link works this time because Tumblr has made a liar out of me before. I plan to publish my new 2024 Masterlist that has my request rules, along with a few other links that might be helpful. However, I'm waiting until after I publish another request to post it. Also, I saw your reply on my other post. So, I'll answer you here. I will still be writing My Hero Academia requests but I wanted to try writing for other fandoms to expand my blog and writing skills. So, just to confirm yes...I am still writing for My Hero Academia (If I didn't my Tenya fans would riot, haha) and in addition, I will be writing (Depending on how many requests or ideas I get) for Sk8 The Infinity, Trigun/Trigun Stampede, Mr. Villain’s Day Off, and Jujutsu Kaisen which thank God I finally finished watching the anime and am currently up to date with the manga. Anywho, hope that answered your questions and I look forward to possibly getting a request from you.
