on an unrelated mental tangent i think i stumbled on why my dislike of christopher nolan's films is installed on a far more basic level than dislike of specific themes, elements, and the man himself could account for

it's that the first time i watched inception it was as a double feature with labyrinth

(what was my rationale for this pairing? idk. how much of inception do i remember? not much, i was very bored and started focusing more on the art i took to the basement with me)
