SIMS 4 - CLASSIC SHORT SHEER PLAID CURTAINS - CATS AND DOGS EP REQUIRED

This curtain is originally from the Cats and Dogs EP, but is not sheer (semi-transparent), so I made a sheer version with a plaid pattern.

They're super cute, and come in 38 colours, all with a gray curtain rod. There are dark and light colours, including white, gray, and black, so there's lots to choose from. They fit beautifully on small windows, but make a great topper for tall windows as well!

There is a custom thumbnail on the first swatch with my purple SCC logo in the bottom right corner to help you find it more easily.

Emilia: Face it. We’re way more fun to hang out with than Sadsack Silversweater and Frigid Faba.

Morgyn: [laughs guiltily] God, that’s terrible. I hope you don't call them that to their faces. They’re really not so bad.

Emilia: Oh, please. We’re here for your classes, not the tedious snoozefests those dusty old bags call lectures.

Grace: Oh, you brought a date! How charming!

Morgyn: This is Caleb. Promise you’ll go easy on him. I’m afraid he doesn't get out much.

Tomax: [sniffs suspiciously] You really invited a vampire on campus, Ember?

Morgyn: Don't worry. You wouldn’t hurt a fly, would you, darling?

Caleb: Fangs off, I promise.

Emilia: Not even a little nibble? How disappointing. I’ve always wondered what that felt like.

Grace: Emilia! You’re engaged!

Emilia: Yeah, and?

Tomax: [narrows eyes] I can’t say I’ve ever met a vampire who doesn’t bite.

Emilia: Get real, Tomax! You’ve never met a vampire, period.

Grace: Don't mind them. I’m Grace, and we're happy to have you. The more the merrier!

Tomax: If you want to hang with us, bloodsucker, you'd better be ready to party.

Caleb: Is this stuff even vampire-safe?

Caleb: [mock gasps] The Sage of Untamed Magic doesn’t have an answer?

Morgyn: I’m sure it won’t kill you. Well, pretty sure.

Caleb: Bottoms up, I guess.

Tomax: You’re a real fucking wizard, Grace. This was your best batch yet.

Emilia: [giggles] I’m on cloud nine!

I guess I will just specifically talk about my story posts because sometimes I like to do renders too, but they're not my specialty.

Play the game/create the characters!! I do have a bit of a storyline planned out in my head before I go in game. My characters all have their own arcs that I want to show them working through at some point in time, so I do a lot of monitoring to make sure they don't go too off course with autonomy. But a lot of the time I do just allow whatever happens in the game to add a new direction or expand on a scenario I've already had in mind (it's so nice when the game works and things happen the way I imagine it would IRL). With things like segs, I almost always let it play out.

Write out storyboards with dialogue. I imagine important scenes in my head the way that I would ideally want them to have gone down in the game. I like to picture it all as a movie, going through the specific camera angles and dialogue moment to moment. Then, I will write it all down with good ol' pen and paper (lol). A small intro of the scene followed by dialogue, then a very rough storyboard of shots, angles, and poses I want to use alongside the dialogue.

I re-create the important scenes/scenarios. Before I go in game, I add all the animation mods that I think might work well for the scene I'm about to make, along with all the poses. I use whatever cheats are necessary to get the shots cause I never save while I'm doing this.

Editing. I take all the screenshots and put them into photoshop to add text and small things like light leaks or bokeh. Sometimes I have to adjust the contrast or brightness, but gshade does most of the work for me beforehand.

That's it! The posts will usually sit in a folder undisturbed for about a month or so until the queue catches up.

While mother was away, Thomas had a spectacular fit which our nursemaid, Pauline, was at the receiving end of. Typically, he becomes angry or sad (I suppose most tantrums are a combination of the two), receives appropriate discipline, and is perhaps unhappy and quietly petulant for only a few moments before settling back into his characteristic state of worriless joy; today, I noticed he seemed irregularly unhappy, and he explained that he felt terribly guilty for treating Pauline as he did. Those were not the words he used, but I recognized what he was trying to say nonetheless. I led him to Pauline and facilitated an apology from him to her. She accepted it graciously, and I am very proud of my little brother.

The Effortless Cinched Curtains that came in the MWS Game Pack are absolutely gorgeous. I thought I'd do a little extra and make some sheers.

There are 14 colours for each of the plain and floral versions, arranged by colour all in one package, and they match, so if you're wanting to mix and match, it's, well, effortless 😉

Thanks to @whyeverr for another super creative lot that, again, I only used a very small part of! I can't take any credit for the tower of gnomes (other than adding a few extras to it), but I'm pretty sure I must've subconsciously given Ulrike a gnome obsession for this exact purpose.

Ulrike: “Awful.”

Helena: “What, really?”

Ulrike: “Please. A life-size chessboard? It’s just lazy selfie bait to ensure it’ll be all over social media before tomorrow morning.” *gestures in annoyance* “Case in point. God, I need a drink.” *snatches first champagne flute in sight*

Helena: “Ulrike!”

Ulrike: “What?”

Helena: “I don’t think it’s safe to mix poisons that way.”

Ulrike: *rolls eyes* “You’ve come a long way, babe, but you’re still such a Puritan sometimes. It’s not hard liquor. We’ll be fine. Let’s mingle, if we must.”
