Alfheimr, the land of the Light Elves

Long ago, in Norse mythology, the cosmic tree Yggdrasil was the framework of the worlds. It supported and sheltered the nine worlds, each of which was the domain of an element or a creature. Alfheimr was ruled by the god Freyr and his subjects were none other than the Light Alfes.

This 64x64 pack houses a world I needed to build for my "Mushroom" story. The Light Elves are an integral part of my backup. That's why I decided to share with you my creation which includes conversions made by me. You will find several rooms, objects, characteristics of these creatures of the Nordic legends. I would like to thank the creators of CC who allowed me to expand this terrain to make it more realistic! You will find a non-exhaustive list of creator names as well as my "Tray" folder. I advise you to place it on the island of Windenburg because I made sure that the flora goes with the terrain. Furthermore, one of the most important packs is "Magic". Why is that? Because only the magic portals can take you to secret places… I wish you a good game and don't hesitate to share your screenshots with me!

CK3 Norse Dress Uppsala

Converted from Crusader Kings 3 and adapted for Sims 4, this is a suitable dress for your schamans and norse priestesses - the priestess version is available for kids to elder sims. All ages get the plainer version, without decorations. This version works well for all medieval sim times and many other eras.

Named after the Swedish town Uppsala, (Old) Uppsala was the main pagan centre of what is Sweden today, and the Temple at Uppsala contained magnificent idols of the Norse gods.

All credit for the mesh and basic texture to CK3/Paradox!

HQ textures, many swatches.

Plain, kids and toddler's versions get their textures from the adult priestess version. All merged in one file, if you want to edit or remerge, unmerge first.

Hellooo my friends! I’m back yet again. This time with a sliiight mesh edit and recolor of the Island Living canoes to make them look slightly more Viking-ish (or piratey hehe).

These came into existence when someone asked if there were any Viking ship overrides of these canoes in the History Challenge discord server. I thought I’d try. Alas, making a whole new mesh is quite beyond me still, but I did manage to remove the side-canoe-thingy! I could not, however, stop the water from acting as though the side-canoe-thingy was there so the water will splash a little weirdly at the side of it. When I have more time I’ll try and learn how to fix that.

DOWNLOAD, INFO and GIF OF THE SWATCHES below cut!

You can find it under transportation in the catalog or by searching ‘xBrilliantsims’, “Viking” “-ish” or “Canoe” in the search bar. The thumbnail still shows the side-canoe-thingy (for some reason) but the recolored sail. I hope it has all the proper tags and it costs 1800, same as the original. You need Island Living for this to show up in your game.

CK3 Norse Visby Fur Cape for All Ages

What is better in winter than the warmth from furs*? The Visby Fur Cape is bigger and warmer than the Birka version.

*Pixel furs. No animals, pixelated or others, were harmed.

Capes are tricky in Sims 4, and I did my best to avoid clipping, but this also depends on the clothing underneath. Converted from Crusader Kings III. For all ages. You find it under Head Accessories/Earrings, with a special thumbnail. Though it uses the lower corner of tops UV, so it may clash with outfits that do the same. The kids and toddler's versions get their textures from the adult version. All merged in one file, if you want to edit or remerge, unmerge first. (If you for example want to change it from "Earrings" to something else. I recommend keeping the files together.
