I really like how much time and effort they put into the lyrics of “Not one of us” in The Lion king 2. Like it shows that no one if over the traumas of what Scar put them through. And they acknowledge that yeah, Kovu was treated horribly and raised in a household full of hate, yet they can’t find it themselves to give him the chance to prove he’s different because they aren’t ready to deal with the trauma they went through. Especially with him looking so similar to Scar. Idk I just love the lion king movies so much and I can go in full rants about them

It's my head canon that Nuka is actually Scar's son. He and Kovu look nothing alike, even though they are both Zira's children, so they probably had different fathers. Nuka looks like Scar (a mangy version, but still... same pelt and mane color), and he seems like the right age to be Scar's (younger than Simba and clearly born before Simba returned).

This gives a whole deeper meaning to Nuka's jealousy, and in particular, the line "Scar wasn't even his father." I mean, if my father picked my younger brother, who was no relation to him, as his successor over me, I'd be pretty jealous too.

Forever my favorite Lion King film and one of my all time favorite disney films. Almost named my daughter Kiara because of it.

Also my first OTP lol 🥰

Ironic that my current OTP also has a Kiara in it who really wants to be independent and her powerful dad hates the boy she loves because of his family and reputation. All the while, she teaches her love that he doesn't have to be what everyone says he is and that he is good and worthy of love. 👀👀

I'm feeling sick today and couldn't even drive to school, which is pretty frustrating.

Buuut, I did do this!

Recently I've been trying to mess with my style and practice the way that I draw. I originally did a pen drawing of Vitani's face while at work, and just used it as a reference.

I imagine that the reason she follows her mothers direction/ orders so much is because she was just as abused as her brothers but in a different way- maybe when she got distracted, did something wrong, or wasn’t in line like she was supposed to be, there were repercussions.
