🎭- At first, Misato believes this an attempt to get her out of this terrible writer’s block she’s had over the past week or so - not having any idea how to translate the scriptwriting for this particular ending into something comprehensible. It’s not that she didn’t know Chinese dramas had a tendency to be convoluted and abstract but-
“..me?”
The voice that leaves her is much meeker than one would ever expect from her. Where she knows she should be replying with “well of course it’d be me, who else?” or “Quiet you, I’m trying to make the play of a lifetime here!” - or something of a similar mind to fit her usual persona. But the instinct doesn’t come to her, despite the fact that putting on that act in particular had become second nature to her.
It’s not just the distinct thump in her chest that resonates in response to the bold approach. It’s also the idea of being anyone’s favorite anything. Maybe it’s just a side effect of being treated more like a piece of public advertisement by her family - but the idea of being liked by anyone seems strangely foreign, but incredibly welcome.
“I’m not sure I’m worth -” she cuts herself off, a small waxy feel on her tongue letting her know she’d licked some of her lipstick off in her nerves. “I mean...”
She feels her face heat up, losing any foothold of a sentence she might have held.

Woke up with Danganronpa kin thoughts in my (🔫🦢) head this morning, so I have decided to share some of our ‘lore’.
In a lot of ways our experiences are very closer to the material that’s presented in canon.
The biggest difference is in our class 77b.
It was bigger.
Peko Pekoyama was actually a pair of twins who routinely pretended to be one person.
And there were two additional members. The SHSL Kendo (me) and the SHSL Actress.
Kendo and Actress didn’t end up in the virtual killing game because they got knocked out of the brainwashing due to exposure to a neurological toxin (by Seiko) that was supposed to kill them.
It caused a limited form of brain damage that was enough to ‘reset’ them partially while they were in recovery, captured by the future foundation.
They ended up being the ones who convinced Makoto that the rest of 77b had been tampered with, and that it was worth trying to do something about it.

hehehe back at it again
Alright so the origin for this story (I have no idea why I said origin) was that I really wanted to see someone write an izuru Kamakura x reader story where reader was like yumemi yumemite (best girl) from kakeguri only to come to the sad realization.. nobody wrote a story like that So im becoming my dream and writing it for myself (and all my other lovely izuru simps) (tell me why I wrote Simps and it auto corrected to Simpsonville..) Anyways I'mma shut up now with the boring origin and get on with the story 😚 (damnit I said origin again - modhiyoko after finishing the story)

okay so for this we know that you are the shsl popstar (aka super high school level popstar)
(I added that because my idiotic self didn't know what shsl meant until a few months ago)
also rl quick I'mma define who yumemi yumemite is rl quick
(IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED KAKEGURI YET THERE ARE SPOILERS)
Yumemi yumemite is a popstar who only became a popstar because it was supposed to be a temporary hold until she became an actress but she realized that she went places she never thought she would have gone before by being a popstar (she actually said that in one episode) She realized that playing this character was really fun and worth much more then she thought she did hate her fans but even after getting exposed her fans still loved her but she has anger issues either way (like me 😘) so basically she's a batshit crazy popstar and you either love her or hate her because she's a Psycho but adorable (hope that explains it)
okay now I'm actually gonna start with the head cannons
(BTW this is all from my perspective and what I think would happen it's probably a little fannon instead of cannon
Starting off I'll say this everytime you were very interesting to him
on how you could hold up the sweet act for so long in front of a person who disgusts you
how you could fool everyone into thinking that you loved them when you absolutely loathed them
that caught his attention
what also caught his attention was your adorableness
but he could also perfectly see through all of that adorableness was anger and something not so sweet
(a lot of this next part is based off of the episode where yumemi goes up against her icon yukizome in a gamble)
he was for once surprised on how you would have the courage to break your own finger for an act
just to win a gamble
he was truly mesmerized by you
now this is relationship hcs
your anger issues where not a problem for him
he is very patient and is amazing at calming you down
(when she gets mad she litterly flips over tables in her dressing room)
so if you made a mess like this after helping you calm down like he would cuddle you and play with your hair of gently kiss you and bring you somewhere more quiet and alone (probably his dorm or something)
he would help you calm down more there
but he would refuse to leave you alone
he won't leave until your calm because he doesn't want you to go through something like that alone
and after your calmed down he would go back and help put every thing back in its place
if you tried to apologize for acting up
he would immediately shut it down and reassure you it's alright and not your fault for getting angered easily
also if your having trouble with stalker or creepy fans you got a bodyguard by your side
all in all this man loves you very much whether or not your a pretty little Psycho
I got one last little thingy for y'all hehe
am I going to tell you what it is NOPE it's a surprise one shot
(here's a hint if your a girl who loves flowers you'll love this oneshot)
One of yours shows was about to start and you where a nervous wreck why? because this is the first show your boyfriend izuru Kamakura was going to be at but even through all that nervousness you stepped on that stage ready to perform this wasn't a gamble show just one of your usual concerts but you were even more nervous about this rather then your gambles
but your going to give it your all
after the show
Hearing all of the people in the audience giving their applause you gave a bow and said your usual thanks for everyone coming walking into your dressing room you got a text from your boyfriend izuru Kamakura
izuru: I have something for you
you: oh?.. what is it?
just then you heard a knock on your dressing room door your assistant offered to get it but you did instead you open it to find izuru Kamakura standing outside your door holding something
you were very nervous on his thoughts on the show but you were still curious about what he had for you
hello ízuru you smiled at him walking out the dressing room closing the door behind you
he didn't reply but he did hand you something
a bouquet of [insert favorite flowers]
you blushed at it then looked up him
he then spoke softly "I got these because there not only as beautiful as you but now I realized their also beautiful like your singing"
you were about to say something before he continued
"don't doubt if when I say you truly are beautiful and might I say adorable when you smile after your performance how you are so full of energy on stage how you don't fail to thank everyone for being there... it's seems I have found myself falling more and more Inlove with you each time you show me a new side of you" he said then smiled a bit before placing a kiss on your lips
i-izuru you said tumbling your words not being able to even tell if you were still awake
you felt like you were going to collapse or melt from all the sweetness
he pulled you into a hug once he noticed your blushing form leaning forward
"don't faint dear" he chuckled
I can't it's to sweet you replied
"you think this is sweet I'm just merely showing the surface of sweetness because -" he cut off before leaning down to whisper in your ear before continuing
"I have a lot more sweetness saved for you later tonight"
EEEEEEEK I hope this was a good enough make up for the last story I half assed.

Lorde is a bright girl who can sometimes accidentally let her anxieties show, but can hide it just as quickly. With a special interest in murder mysteries, she's well equipped for this game! Whumpmas in July ‘22, Day 1: (re)Introduce Yourself

Helloooooo everybody, lovely to meet you! You may technically consider this as a reintroduction post (for reasons I will soon disclose), but this is also technically a pure introduction post, seeing as I never bothered creating an introduction for myself under this URL :]
You may call me HardyGal or simply Hardy. I used to be an active member of the whump community under the URL @shsl-whump from 2018 to 2020. I then suffered something of an early life crisis and transferred all of my content to a completely new URL, @agentangst, in 2021. By the end of 2021, however, decided to withdraw from the whump community for the sake of my mental health and focus. Both tumblrs are now deleted, and I transferred most of my whump content here, to my main writeblr, at the start of 2022.
With all of that history out of the way, even after pulling back from the whump community for a bit, I still love writing whump. Heck, I was able to be a completionist for Whumptober 2021 last year! So maybe think of this as me tentatively dipping my toes back into this lovely community built around making our beloved characters suffer :3
I love all kinds of whump, but I have a particular affinity for character focused whump. That is, whump that serves to really get at the core of a character or at certain aspects of a character - a tortured man reflecting on how he probably deserves his suffering, a survivor of many terrible things mourning the loss of being able to just live life normally, a broken down leader still struggling through every hardship because that is his duty... just for a few off the top examples.
On a related note, I am big for hurt/comfort. Like, oh hell yeah, I’ll beat the absolute hell out of my favourite characters... But building them back up again, guiding them through a recovery, is just as vital to the whump experience as the actual whump, at least for me.
As far as specific whump tropes go, my top five favourites would have to be:
Captivity/Kidnapping
Whump of those in positions of responsibility (leaders, nobles, older sibling types), particularly those new to that position
Torture (and gosh if that doesn’t make me sound like a psycho lol)
Whump of the "strong cinnamon roll” - the one who is overtly emotional, prone to tears or displays of fear, and yet still remains steadfast and stubborn despite that fear
Team whump
You can expect... well, very inconsistent updates and posts, but when I do update/post! you can usually expect some form of whump from me. Even though this writeblr is not specifically a whumpblr, that’s usually what I tend to write. Even if I’m not writing whump, I am at least writing angst lol
Most of my protagonists are dudes, and my settings vary from espionage/spy type stuff, to fantasy stuff, to urban fantasy stuff... Anything that happens to catch my fancy as far as writing goes :)
Other random stuff about me uhhhhh, I wish to be a voice actress someday! My favourite colour is blue! I was born in one country and raised in another! I have been using the name HardyGal since I was middle school age! I play D&D and Call of Cthulhu!
My Team SA37 series was conceived on my old whumpblr and there are a crap ton of pieces from that series that I have not yet re-published and I hope to get back to the series some time! I am working on way too many projects and have way too many ideas!
*gasp*
Anyway, let’s maybe consider this the end of my introduction. I’m sure I’ll have the chance to elaborate more on myself as this month goes on, assuming I can keep up ^-^’

Super High School Level (SHSL) Actress
(She/Her, Mahiru Koizumi + Hiyoko Saionji)
She used to put on shows for her family even as a kid, so being an actress clearly was in the cards for her. Even though she had the natural talent, she worked incredibly hard to get to where she was.
Though she’s tried a little of everything, television and movie acting are her favorite kinds. Occasionally she’ll be part of a play or something like that, though, especially if she likes the storyline.
She can be a bit temperamental at times, especially when she’s tired from overworking herself. She usually remembers to apologize for lashing out at her classmates.
She’s also fiercely loyal, especially to her classmates. She makes sure to keep in contact with everyone she’s ever really felt close to. It’s one of her greatest strengths.
Honestly, some of her favorite roles to play are of villains or antagonists. There’s just something fun about causing fictional misery for fictional characters. May or may not be a bit mean of her, though.
