I know arguing about the outfits of heroins is dumb and an incel thing to do, but I’m so displeased by Supergirls costume in The Flash Movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These Kara’s are from Superman: The animated series, the DCAU, DC Superhero girls and the 90s Young Justice run (she had her own run during that time and looked very similar) (I just couldn’t find a pic from it snd don’t any of those comics)
And what I love about all of them is that they look like teenage girls dressing up. They are in no way modest and “sexy” in their own right, but in the end she always looks like she took inspiration from popular teen shops when designing her hero outfit. (STAS Kara probably literally got that stuff from forever 21 or Smth)
Yes, they are still pleasing to the male viewers but it also looks like they have fun dressing this way and it reflects how young they still are!
Here we have Kara, was seen in the The Flash Trailers:
Tumblr media
Well… first off that’s not a teenager (which to be fair, Kara wasn’t in the supergirl show either).
It’s a young woman in a skin tight suit with weird lines around her crotch.
In a was it’s way more modest. All that’s exposed are her hands and face, but (at least to me) it’s so much more revealing. She is literally wearing a cat suit that shows everything about her and none of the charm the other suits had.
This doesn’t look like an outfit to me a young woman would wear to feel good about herself. It’s just tight and showing off her ass. (Tho if you are a young women that would love to wear it and feel good about yourself ALL POWER TO YOU).
Like I said, it’s kinda dumb to be this upset about her suit but it’s just disappointing to me.
Let Kara have fun with her outfit again :(

Giving Kara a haircut...
I can’t be the only one who wondered how Kara/SG would look like with short hair, am I?
(...pls, dun shame me or my PS skills, I didn’t do it with the aim for perfection, but it should get the idea across)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it would be fun, if as part of her "glasses" disguise, she swiped her bangs one way for SG and the other for "just Kara".
And as my dear friend then went on to imagine:
“When she finally does a reveal, no one sees it at first. Then she sweeps her bangs the other way and whole crowd gasps!“😲😯😧😱😳😦

visual guide to main supergirls
If your supergirl appears in comics from 1962 to 1985 (plus many happy returns arc in 2003) wears a classic costume or these variations, and uses a brown wig in her civilian disguise, then she is kara zor-el/linda lee danvers
Tumblr media
she dies during CoIE AND DOESN'T EXIST IN THE NEW UNIVERSE UNTIL MAY 2004, in the 90s superfam hang out with other supergirls
If your supergirl appears in comics from sept 1988 to sept 1996 (plus convergence supergirl in 2015), wears a classic suit and most often has heavy curls and sometimes turns into a pink blob of goo, then it's matrix/mae kent. she was created by lex from another universe and on the new earth ma and pa kent accepted her as their own daughter
and mae is kon's first supergirl
Tumblr media
yes also she dated handsome lex but he was pretending to be his own son so we don't judge her too much for that lol
if your supergirl appears in comics from sept 1996 to nov 2000 and has a classic costume, but also fiery wings sometimes, she's called an earth-born angel and in her civilian form she is a foot shorter and brown-haired with a bob, then this is a fusion (yeah like in steven universe) matrix and linda danvers ORDINARY HUMAN GIRL
Tumblr media
if your supergirl appears in comics from dec 2000 to may 2003, wears a suit with a white top, blue skirt AND a blonde wig, and in her civilian appearance is a short-haired brunette, then it’s just linda danvers, matrix separates from her and later finds a new host
Tumblr media
linda goes back in time for some time and marries silver age's clark, yes, that's ok, they are not related in any way the day when twitter learns that it's linda and stops being hysterical about incest will be the happiest day of my life
if your supergirl appears briefly in fifteen issues in 2003, wears a black swimsuit and has short black hair, then it's cir-el/mia kent, the pseudo-daughter of clark and lois created by brainiac 12 in the future
Tumblr media
if your supergirl has been appearing in comics since may 2004 and wears these costume variants (and sometimes holo-glasses with disguise from 2016 to 2020), then this is kara zor-el again, kara lang until 2011, kara danvers from 2016

(drum roll, please) I officially present, the widely requested and smutty as hell, bottom Lena fic. (there's some fluff too)
You’re All Mine Now, Miss Luthor (Supercorp)

NSFW. 18+
Tumblr media
Lena stood at the center of the grand ballroom, her hands gently clasping a crystal flute of champagne. Her eyes surveyed the room, taking in the sight of the attendees mingling and engaging in conversation. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement, as guests eagerly awaited Lena's announcement of L Corp's newest ventures and its charitable initiatives.
Lena felt a surge of pride welling within her. The turnout was impressive, the results of her efforts in reshaping the public perception of her family name. She had worked tirelessly to demonstrate that she was not defined by the sins of her lineage, and now, surrounded by trusting faces, she reveled in the knowledge that she had earned their respect through her own merits. She had meticulously worked to craft a legacy distinct from her family's dark history, to show her dedication and commitment to bettering the world through her company's ventures. The turnout at the event served as validation, affirming that people recognised her integrity.
Her fingertips traced the slender stem of the champagne flute absentmindedly as her gaze swept across the crowd, searching for one person in particular. The only person that truly mattered to Lena.
And then, her heart skipped a beat as she saw Kara Danvers entering the room. In that singular moment, the world around Lena seemed to fade into the background, leaving only Kara in her field of vision.
Kara's entrance was nothing short of breathtaking. A lacy blue dress clung to her every curve, accentuating her figure in a way that left Lena spellbound. Every movement Kara made seemed to unfold in slow motion. Her hair tumbled over her shoulders in perfect curls, framing her face like a halo.
Lena longed to go to Kara, to press her lips against Kara's. But the reality of their secret relationship held her back, reminding her of the delicate balance they had to maintain. So she stood there, a silent observer, captivated by Kara's mesmerizing presence.
The way Kara's lips moved, forming words that Lena couldn't hear as she greeted people, sent shivers down her spine.
Then, as if sensing Lena's gaze on her, Kara's eyes flicked to Lena and Lena's breath caught in her throat. Kara's startling blue eyes held a depth that threatened to consume Lena whole, and Lena felt like she could spend her life staring into them, willing to drown in those oceans. Noticing Lena, a stunning smile spread across Kara's face, causing Lena's heart to almost stop. For that fleeting instant, Lena allowed herself to bask in the radiance of Kara's smile. Lena remained rooted in place, her eyes locked with Kara's, savoring the electricity that pulsed between them.
Lena's heart fluttered as she watched Kara draw nearer, every fiber of her being yearning for their bodies to be close, for their hands to lace together. But fate seemed determined to keep them apart as the master of ceremonies' tap on his champagne glass shattered the moment. He called Lena to the podium amidst a around of applause. It was time for her to speak.
Reluctantly tearing her gaze away from Kara, Lena turned her attention to the podium, assuming her CEO persona. She had a responsibility to fulfill, a duty to address the attendees and present her company's vision.
As she approached the podium, the gazes of hundreds of attendees fixated upon her. The weight of their expectations settled upon her shoulders, reminding her of the importance of this moment. Lena took a deep breath, and stepped onto the podium.
"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests," Lena began, projecting an unmistakable tone of authority in her voice that she had perfected over time. "Tonight, I stand before you to share some exciting developments from L Corp, ones that will revolutionize the world as we know it."
A hush fell over the room as Lena described the cutting-edge medical technology that L Corp was spearheading, advancements that promised to revolutionize cancer detection. She painted a vivid picture of a future where early diagnosis and precise treatments would become accessible to all, which would save countless lives.
"But it doesn't stop there," Lena continued. "At L Corp, we are not content with resting on our laurels. We are proud to unveil our latest innovation, a prototype power supply that has the potential to transform communities. With just a single pod, we can power an entire neighborhood for an entire year, providing sustainable and clean energy solutions."
Gasps of awe and wonder echoed through the room as Lena described the immense possibilities of this breakthrough, proving L Corp's commitment to environmental stewardship.
"And as we reach for the stars, quite literally, L Corp is invested in making space travel more accessible," Lena announced. She was extremely excited about this venture. "We are actively working towards developing interplanetary trade routes, opening up new avenues for resource exploration and fostering cooperation between worlds."
The crowd murmured with excitement, captivated by the vision Lena painted of humanity's future among the stars.
"In addition to our groundbreaking advancements, L Corp is dedicated to making a difference in our communities. Tonight, I am proud to announce our partnerships with three extraordinary charities. We stand with Cancer Research, investing in life-saving breakthroughs. We strive to uplift our communities through comprehensive development programs, empowering individuals and fostering growth. And we pledge our commitment to inspiring young minds by supporting Girls in STEM, nurturing the next generation of innovators and visionaries."
A round of applause and appreciation erupted throughout the room, the collective acknowledgment of L Corp's unwavering dedication to the betterment of society.
Before she ended her speech, Lena's gaze shifted to the side, locking with Kara's. The pride in Kara's eyes made Lena choke up slightly. Kara had stood by her throughout her efforts, motivating her. Whenever Lena felt the weight of the world suffocating her, Kara was there, to lift up that weight with her strength. When Lena struggled with the effects of her family's legacy, doubting herself and her own intentions, Kara was the one to tell her that she was more than that dark legacy, that she was Lena Luthor- a good and kind person. Kara was the force that fueled her drive to push boundaries and redefine what was possible. Her Supergirl was her strength and motivation through it all.
"To everyone who believed in me," Lena's voice quivered slightly, her gaze locked with Kara's, this a message for Kara alone. "You have made this possible. Thank you."
Kara smiled softly, her gaze softening. Lena lifted her glass up, her eyes still on Kara's. "Let us not stop reaching for greater heights at L Corp."
As the crowd's cheers reverberated, Lena's intense focus on Kara dissolved, her smile widening in response. The recognition and support from those around her reminded her of the impact she was making, the strides forward she was leading. In that moment, Lena embraced the applause, knowing that her vision for L Corp was not only being realized but celebrated.
James appeared at Lena's side, offering a hand as he helped her off the podium.
"Congratulations, Lena," James said, "You were incredible up there."
Lena managed a distracted thank you, her eyes scanning the room in search of Kara's familiar presence. However, James seemed determined not to let her slip away so easily. He extended his hand.
"Dance with me, please?"
Caught off guard by James' unexpected proposition, Lena hesitated for a moment. She knew that James wanted something more with her, and she didn't want to encourage him. Before she could respond, the photographer overheard their conversation, sensing an opportunity to capture a captivating moment for the newspapers.
"Brilliant, Miss Luthor" the photographer interjected eagerly. "It'll look great in the photo spread for the paper!"
Reluctantly, Lena acquiesced, agreeing to dance with James for the sake of the photograph.
As they moved to the music, Lena's couldn't help but look over James' shoulder, desperately seeking a glimpse of Kara in the crowd. But try as she might, Lena couldn't spot her. All she wanted was to spend this moment with Kara, with the person who matter to her the most. But the crowd swelled around her, joining the dance. Amidst the swaying bodies and enchanting melodies, Lena's thoughts remained fixated on Kara. She yearned for their secret smiles, stolen glances, and the warmth of Kara's body against hers. The dance with James felt hollow, a mere facade. She wondered what it would feel like to be in Kara's arms instead, swaying to the music.
--
Feeling overwhelmed by the constant flurry of activity and the need for a moment of respite, Lena sought solace in the privacy of a secluded room at the back of the venue. The air was heavy with stillness, illuminated only by the flickering glow of candlelight. Velvet curtains, tied back with silken ropes, framed the window, casting soft shadows across the room. She sat on the chaise lounge in front of the window as she pulled her phone out to call Kara.
As she was about to press call, the door creaked open, revealing the very person she had been yearning for. Lena stood up.
"I was looking for you everywhere," Lena breathed.
But instead of words, Kara's response was swift and intense. In an instant, Kara crashed her lips against Lena's a desperate, hungry kiss. Lena's senses ignited, the world around them fading into insignificance as she felt herself melt into Kara's touch. Kara kicked the door closed behind her, and there was an unmistakable shift in Kara's kisses, an intensity that spoke of possessiveness and desire.
Lena surrendered willingly, her own desire echoing Kara's as their bodies pressed together. Fire coursed through her veins. Kara's hands, firm and possessive, found their way to Lena's chin, tilting her head to the side, exposing the vulnerable curve of her neck. Soft gasps escaped Lena's lips as Kara's mouth trailed a path of heated kisses along her sensitive skin.
With each press of lips and the sensation of Kara's teeth grazing her flesh, Lena's body arched instinctively, a mix of pleasure and surrender surging within her.
"You look ravishing tonight, Miss Luthor," Kara whispered against Lena's skin, her words laden with longing and possessiveness. "And it's driving me crazy to not be able to touch you." The words, charged with raw emotion, further stoked the arousal Lena felt. The wetness between her legs was already a sign of her desperation, her longing.
Kara bit down softly on Lena's neck and Lena could only gasp in response, her body beholden to Kara's command. In this private haven, the outside world faded into insignificance and they existed solely for each other.
Kara's kisses grew more urgent, intensifying with each moment. Lena's heart raced as Kara's hands trailed down her body, igniting her skin with a fiery touch, as she guided Lena towards the back of the room. She felt Kara's fingers deftly unzip her dress and unclasp her bra, allowing the garments to gracefully fall to the floor, revealing Lena in nothing but her heels and underwear. A surge of anticipation coursed through Lena's body as Kara's hands guided her towards the plush chaise lounge near the window. Their bodies pressed together, igniting a palpable chemistry that sent shivers down Lena's spine as Kara gently lowered Lena onto the chaise. She felt the cool satin of the couch beneath her bare skin and shivered in anticipation, ready to be claimed by Kara.
In a moment of exquisite dominance, Kara's hand gently closed around Lena's wrists, raising them above her head. Lena's heart raced as Kara skillfully used a tie from the curtains to secure her wrists to the chaise lounge. The subtle restriction only heightened Lena's anticipation, and she felt something tighten within her.
Admiring her handiwork, Kara smirked and Lena saw the glint in her eyes. "You're all mine now, Miss Luthor," she declared, her voice barely above a whisper.
Her words sent a shiver down Lena's spine. She loved Kara like this, dominant and commanding, taking control of Lena's willing body. Their lips met once more as the world outside the window ceased to exist.
Lena felt Kara's hands pull her down, so that the ropes around her wrist held taught. She was completely at Kara's mercy, ready to submit herself to Kara, in every way possible.
She moaned as Kara's lips left her own, and trailed kisses down her neck and chest.
Closing her eyes, Lena surrendered to the moment, letting herself be consumed by the electric touch of Kara's lips on her skin. The world around her faded away, and the only thing she could hear was the soft sound of their breaths mingling in the air and her own desperate whimpers. Her body responded to Kara's every touch, her pulse quickening and her senses heightening.
Reaching Lena's breasts, Kara's lips captured a rosy bud between them, drawing it into her mouth. Lena's breath caught, and a moan escaped her lips. The pleasure surged through her, intensifying with each gentle suck and flick of Kara's tongue. She surrendered to the delicious sensation as Kara switched to her other breast, her body arching and her fingers instinctively seeking purchase, grasping the ropes that bound her wrists.
Lena's breath hitched as Kara's teeth grazed her sensitive flesh, sending a jolt of pleasure mixed with a hint of pain through her body as her back arched instinctively, a low moan escaped her parted lips. Every subtle movement, every gentle nip, sent shivers of ecstasy racing along her nerve endings, causing her to squirm beneath Kara's touch, craving more.
She felt Kara's hands explore her body, her nails delicately scraping against her skin, causing a surge of heightened sensation to course through her.
All too soon, Kara's mouth left her chest, trailing searing kisses down Lena's body. As Kara's lips descended further, Lena's breath caught in her throat. The soft brush of kisses against her stomach sent a thrill of anticipation rippling through her. She felt the heat pooling between her thighs, aching for Kara's touch, and she yearned to be consumed. Finally, Kara's fingers found the waistband of Lena's panties and she slowly pulled them down, Lena lifting her hips slightly to let her. Then, she felt Kara’s purposely icy breath on her heated core and couldn't stop the soft, desperate whimpers that came out of her mouth.
Lena looked down, her eyes finding Kara's, taking in the sight of her beautiful girlfriend kneeling between her thighs. She squirmed, arching her body towards Kara, but the pull of the ropes restrained her and Kara placed her hands on Lena's thighs, effectively pinning her down. The soft glow of the candlelight danced across Kara's features, accentuating her mesmerizing blue eyes, as Lena looked into them desperately.
Finally, Lena felt Kara's mouth press against her, her tongue teasing Lena's folds. Lena's body trembled with each deliberate stroke of Kara's tongue. She felt Kara tease her entrance before capturing her clit between her lips, causing Lena to gasp loudly. Lena's fingers curled around the rope that bound her as Kara's skilled tongue found its mark, and she dug her nails into her palms in a desperate attempt to ground herself as the waves of pleasure coursed through her. When she felt Kara's teeth graze against her, coaxing her pleasure to greater heights, she cried out at the delicious pain. The intensity built with every stroke of Kara's tongue, and as soon as Lena was about to reach her peak, Kara stopped, pulling away. Lena whimpered desperately as Kara moved her body up, against Lena's, before pressing a desperate kiss against Lena's lips once more. Lena could taste her own desire on Kara's lips, and she groaned into the kiss.
Lena's senses were ablaze with desire as she felt Kara's fingers press against her opening, softly teasing her. The mere contact sent shockwaves of pleasure radiating through her, igniting a frenzy of need.
"Look at how ready you are for me," she whispered against Lena's lips, and Lena felt her body respond more intensely to Kara's words.
Kara broke the kiss, leaving Lena gasping for air as she looked down into Lena's eyes, her blue eyes dark with desire.
"Watching you dance with James, seeing his hands on you, drove me crazy." Kara whispered, her fingers still teasing Lena, softly dipping in and out of her folds, teasing her clit, causing Lena to lose any sense of coherence.
"You're mine, Lena." Kara growled, before finally plunging two fingers into Lena, claiming Lena in every sense of the word. The sudden intrusion elicited a guttural cry from deep within Lena's throat, her walls clenching around the invading digits. Lena's hips immediately took up the rhythm set by Kara, trying to keep up with the unforgiving pace. Kara's movements were fast and hard, pushing Lena further into the depths of her pleasure. Lena moaned and whimpered, unable to stop herself, as Kara's fingers took her to her peak, each thrust deliciously stroking that sweet spot deep within her. She wanted to tell Kara that yes, she was hers, only hers, because Lena had always been hers- she could never belong to anyone else, but the pleasure took away her ability to form coherent sentences.
Lena gasped as she felt Kara add a third finger, the delicious stretch causing her to cry out, loudly. Kara's lips crash against her own again, muffling her screams of pleasure. The ropes bit into her wrists painfully as she pulled at them, unable to keep her body from arching towards Kara. She felt her pleasure peaking, reaching the edge, and desperately moved her hips against Kara's hands, pressing against her harder.
Kara, probably sensing Lena's desperation, curled her fingers, causing Lena to cry out again, the sound muffled by Kara's lips.
"Cum for me." Kara whispered against Lena's lips, and Lena's body immediately responded to the command. Lena came undone, waves of pleasure washing over her, building and building until they crested in an explosive climax. She clenched tightly around Kara's fingers, the intensity of her release consuming her as she surrendered to Kara's control and her own pleasure, gasping and moaning. Finally, Kara's fingers slowed down, bringing Lena down from her orgasm. Lena, breathless and wholly consumed by the pleasure, fell back into the couch, her body finally sated.
Kara slowly undid the ties around Lena's wrists, her touch now gentle and tender, and placed a soft kiss to each of Lena's wrists. When Lena's hands were freed, she looked up at Kara, smiling softly. Kara's gaze was on Lena's neck, and Lena saw her lips curl into a self satisfied smirk. "I might have been a bit too eager," Kara said, a playful tone lacing her words, as her fingertips caressed Lena's neck, where Lena knew that Kara had left marks. "Looks like I've left a mark. Sorry."
Lena laughed softly, because she knew that Kara was definitely not sorry. Those were marks of Kara's possessiveness. Lena reached up to Kara's hand on her neck, and laced her fingers with Kara's before leaning in, capturing Kara's lips in a tender kiss.
She broke the kiss and pressed their foreheads together, their breaths mingling in the space between them,
"You know you never have to worry, darling" Lena reassured Kara, "The only person I want to be dancing with is you. I love you."
She saw Kara'a soft lips curl into a sweet smile at her words, and Lena's heart fluttered.
"Good. I love you too," Kara whispered, "Now, let's get out of here. There are people here to see you, Miss Luthor."
Lena groaned, and slumped against the couch. "No. Let's stay here. This is perfect. And we’re not done yet,” Lena said, her eyes scanning Kara’s exquisite body.
Kara stood up, and reached down to pull a reluctant Lena up as well, laughing.
"Don't worry, I have much more in store for you later tonight, my love. But only if you behave," Kara teased, and the Lena's desires immediately reignited.
"And what if I don't behave?" Lena asked, turning to look at Kara, a hint of challenge in her voice.
A wicked glint flashed in Kara's eyes before she leaned in, her warm breath tickling Lena's ear. "Then, Miss Luthor, I might have to find creative ways to discipline you," she whispered, and her words sent shivers down Lena's spine. As Kara made to exit the room, she paused and turned around, her eyes soft, "I'm so proud of you, you know that, right?", she whispered.
"Thank you," she whispered, and she hoped that Kara knew that it wasn't just for this- it was for everything.
--
After Kara left Lena alone to get dressed, Lena exited the room and caught a glimpse of herself in a mirror just outside the entrance to the bustling ballroom. A gasp escaped her lips as she beheld her reflection. There, on her neck, was a very visible mark left behind by Kara, vivid against her pale skin.
With a soft laugh, she swiftly undid the clips that held her hair in an elegant chignon. The dark tresses cascaded down, strategically covering the evidence of their intimate rendezvous. She entered the ballroom, already waiting for the end of the event as Kara's promises for later echoed in her mind.

It just clicks into place.
When Lena failed to answer Kara’s fourth text, she did what any normal, well adjusted adult would do: put on her skintight suit and cape and jump out of her window.
Well, not any well-adjusted adult, but then, most adults can’t fly. Nor can most children, for that matter.
Kara circles the building three times, carefully listening. The familiar beat of that heart steady and strong, if a little slow. She has to be sure, though, and Lena probably hasn’t eaten.
By now, the sight of Supergirl walking into L-Corp in the more ordinary way has become less exciting, though no less a spectacle. Random visitors wearing temporary badges gawk as Supergirl nods to the woman stationed at the front security desk, while interns look cool by putting on their best and most fragile “oh, it’s just Supergirl, happens all the time” faces.
She even rides the elevator up.
Jess is at her desk when Kara arrives.
“She left strict instructions not to be disturbed.”
Kara doesn’t miss a stride. “I know.”
Jess makes no effort to stop her, but smiles secretly to herself and begins gathering her things, knowing she’s going to be sent home in short order anyway.
Kara gently opens the doors and steps inside. Lena has dimmed the lights and lies curled on the couch. She’s dressed in a power suit today, the jacket draped over her body like a blanket. When she fell into repose, she was so tired that she only managed to kick off one heel, the other swaying dangerously from her toes, in time with her breathing.
Lena’s head rests on one curled arm, her raven hair spilling over her creamy blouse and the white couch like a waterfall at night, her pale face the soft glow of a clouded moon. In sleep she worries at her lip and her brows pinch a little and she mutters something, and without even a second thought, Kara brushes loose dark curls back from her eyes.
And then it just clicks into place.
Worlds have lived and died, and Kara has crossed oceans of time and space for this moment. All the things that have happened all the way to the first trembling instability in her homeworld’s rotten green core have led to this, and not for the first time, Kara finds herself with a sting behind her eyes and guilt pulling at her like hooks; how dare she profit like this, from such an ending, receive such grace piled upon grace, not only to survive the absolute catastrophe but to prosper like this? To receive such a gift as Lena?
And then it just clicks into place.
This is a gift, a recompense. Something earned and deserved. It would not be a betrayal of all that came before if she accepts this, but it would be a betrayal if she refuses it. And finally, watching Lena mumble something about a product launch in her sleep, the crack in Kara Zoe-El Danver’s heart opens too wide to ever be forced closed again. She is lost.
Lena feels Kara’s touch, steel fingers on silken earlobe. She wakes blearily, blinking gummy eyes full of wonder.
“Oh,” Lena murmurs. “You’re here? I thought I dreamed you.”
All of Kara’s planned words die on her lips; there is no teasing, no playful admonishment about eating habits or working late.
“Let me take you home,” Kara says, and when Lena nods, there is, finally, peace.
“The way their partner looks when they fall asleep/wake up”

Lunge and Parry
Just a short little thing that was inspired by this Tweet
---
Lena is thrilled. Thrilled and sweaty.
She hasn’t had to be on her toes this much against an opponent in a long time and she’s enjoying every second of it. It’s not a big surprise; this is the championship bout after all, so the woman currently advancing on her would have had to win against top notch fencers in the tournament to get to this point.
Lena isn’t very familiar with her. Kara Danvers is her name and as far as Lena knows, she hasn’t been fencing competitively for very long, or else their paths would surely have crossed a few times already. The world of fencing is small, and even smaller once you get to the level where they are at, competing for one of the few remaining spots on the Olympic fencing team.
Either way, Lena isn’t about to let some newbie beat her. She’s worked too hard for this, and Lillian likes to remind her of that every chance she gets, like now, when she yells at Lena from the sidelines while Lena works to parry Kara’s current attack.
“That was pathetic,” she hears her mother scoff. “I’ve paid your coaches thousands of dollars and this is the best you can manage?”
Lena tries to tune her out as she bounces backwards on her feet. Kara’s fencing style is aggressive. It’s effective, the score is close, but Lena sees that Kara is a little bit reckless at times, and she’s been scoring points off defensive moves more than she usually does in her bouts.
It works. She’s up 12-9 and there are less than 30 seconds left. Lena figures she can goad Kara into one or two more lunges and either avoid contact or score her own points off a defensive thrust. It’s an uphill battle for her opponent, and Kara is likely to go all in on her offense in an attempt to even up the score.
It’s a solid strategy, defend her lead and win. But then, as she takes a quick step back in the wake of Kara lunging at her, Lena’s right knee buckles. She hears a pop and loses her balance. As soon as her back hits the piste, Lena feels excruciating pain shoot up her leg, and she knows immediately that it’s bad.
Then a few things happen all at once. Lena focusses on her breathing and on trying to muffle the sounds she is making. She doesn’t want to cry, not here, not in front of everyone, but the pain in her leg is beyond anything she’s ever felt before, and she can’t help but let out small whimpers as she tries to roll onto her side. Then, her coach is there, helping her pull her helmet off. He is asking her questions that barely register, and Lena tries to hold in a yelp when he touches her leg. But the thing that captures most of her attention is her opponent, Kara, who is kneeling down next to her with a deeply concerned frown on her face.
“Get up,” Lillian hisses from somewhere behind Lena. “Luthors aren’t quitters.”
Lena clenches her jaw. She doesn’t really see the point of trying to finish the bout. Even if she is able to get up and stand, she knows she can’t fence properly with her knee in its current state. There are still 20 seconds left and Kara would have no problem scoring enough points to win. If she stays down and forfeits, Kara wins, too. Either way, it’s over for Lena.
“Do you think you can continue?” Her coach asks.
As much as Lena wants to yell no and tell both him and Lillian to fuck off, she knows she’ll never hear the end of it if she gives up now. Lillian is going to spend the next twenty years reminding her that she’s a disgrace to the Luthor name, too weak, too soft. Maybe she can try and hobble on one leg for 20 seconds and maybe, just maybe it’ll be enough.
Lena nods. She’s not sure she can speak at this point, so she sticks to glaring at her mother and shifting around a bit to let her coach hook his arm under her right shoulder to help her up. When she wobbles immediately, Lena feels a second set of hands on her. Her head snaps around and she’s met with a very close-up view of blonde hair, tan skin and vibrant blue eyes.
“Careful,” Kara says as she helps Lena to her feet and lets her lean against her for balance for a few seconds.
It’s only when Kara is sure that Lena can stand on her own that she lets go, and Lena immediately misses how steady her hands felt on her body. They lock eyes and Kara asks:
“You sure you want to finish the bout?”
Lena isn’t sure. She can’t put any of her weight on her right leg at all, and the throbbing pain is so distracting that she completely misses her coach’s instructions for what to do now. But she nods anyway. She doesn’t think she has much of a choice. She’ll try to stay upright and maybe, with some luck, she can stay out of the way of Kara’s attacks long enough to maintain her lead. It’s 20 seconds. All she has to do is get through 20 seconds.
Kara nods back at Lena and then, just before she slips her helmet back on, Lena thinks she spots a small smile on her opponent’s face. Her stomach sinks. Kara isn’t stupid. She’s a talented fencer. She’ll know how to outmaneuver a severely limited Lena with ease to score enough points to win three times over. And that smile on Kara’s face tells Lena all she needs to know. Kara is probably already planning her victory celebration.
Lena sighs, puts her helmet on and hobbles into position. She can barely move. Anytime she jostles her right leg by hopping around on her left, the pain shooting up and down her body makes her feel dizzy. Even just keeping her balance enough to stay upright seems like an impossible challenge.
The referee tells them to get ready and Lena lifts her foil and her chin, and tries to drown out the run-on commentary coming from her mother. She knows she’s going to lose, but she can at least try and keep her pride intact.
“Allez,” the referee tells them and Lena hobbles backwards to put distance between herself and Kara. Her main strategy now is to stay out of her way as much as possible.
Kara, as she has done throughout the bout, bounces on her feet and gets into position to lunge. Lena braces herself for the attack but then Kara simply bounces backwards, toward her end of the piste. Lena is confused. It could very well be a set up for a running attack, one where Kara needs more space to generate momentum, but it’s not something she’s seen Kara do before. Still, she tries to set her feet as much as possible to give herself a chance to dodge whatever move Kara has planned.
But nothing happens. Kara continues to bounce on her feet far away from Lena. Her foil is up and ready but it doesn’t look like she’s going to approach at all. Lena can hear Lillian’s voice, biting and loud as always, but she can’t hear what her mother is saying. She is too focussed on Kara and the fact that she’s not attacking at all.
And then the buzzer signals that time’s up, that the bout is over.
Lena moves towards Kara. She’s on autopilot, hobbling two steps but before she can even reach the middle of the piste to shake her opponent's hand, Kara is there, pulling her into a hug that Lena knows is meant to be congratulatory but ends up feeling more like something else. Kara is a bit taller than her, her shoulders broader, and in that moment, Lena feels cocooned and safe even as her thoughts oscillate between confusion, elation and irritation.
“You shouldn’t have done that,” Lena snaps.
They’re still hugging and Lena doesn’t intend to let go anytime soon, but the words are out of her mouth before she can stop them.
She feels more than hears Kara chuckle. “What?”
“You shouldn’t have let me win.”
Lena expects Kara to pull away, to tell her to go fuck herself. It’s what she would do if their roles were reversed. Instead, Kara only hugs her more tightly and even presses a soft kiss to Lena’s forehead before she pulls back a little to look at her.
“You won fair and square,” Kara tells her with a smile on her face before pulling Lena back against her body, one hand gently cradling the back of Lena’s head.
The whole moment feels like an out-of-body experience to Lena. They’re competitors who barely know each other, and here she is in Kara’s arms like they’re best friends. Kara even kissed her fucking forehead. A part of Lena wants to pull away and ask her what the hell her deal is, but something about this moment feels too good to fight it.
So Lena doesn’t.
“Will you let me buy you a drink,” Lena asks and her voice is muffled because her face is still pressed against Kara’s shoulder. “To make it up to you.”
There’s another chuckle and then Kara takes a careful step back but holds Lena up with firm hands on her upper arms.
“Let’s get your knee sorted out first, okay?”
And just like that the spell between them is broken. Lena sees her coach approach her, and somewhere behind him are two EMTs who are pushing a wheelchair towards her. Lillian is there, too, of course, barking instructions at the EMTs to take Lena to Lakeview Hospital, even though that’s on the other side of the city, but Lena knows the Luthors have connections to several surgeons there.
In the flurry of activities around her, Kara disappears out of view as soon as Lena is helped into the wheelchair. Lena is sure she won’t see her again, at least not for a while. Fencing will likely be out of the question for a few months until her injury heals, and that’s pretty much all she knows about Kara, that she is a fencer. As she is pushed out of the building and into the back of the waiting ambulance, the door closes with a loud bang. Lena tries not to cry.
Lillian’s connections and large donations to the hospital mean that Lena heads into surgery that very same evening. Both her ACL and MCL are shot, and while the surgeon manages to repair both, he tells her that recovery will take many months and a lot of hard work. It’s not something Lillian likes to hear.
“She can’t miss that much time. She’ll have to prepare for the Olympics.”
The drugs in Lena’s system allow her to doze off during the argument between her surgeon and Lillian that follows.
When Lena wakes up the following morning, Lillian is gone and Lena is thankful. The nurse tells her that her mother had to take care of some business matters but would return after lunch, and Lena can’t help but hope that Lillian might stay away longer. Her hopes are dashed when she hears a small knock, but when she looks up, it’s not Lillian who is hovering in the doorway.
It’s Kara.
“Hey.”
Kara is holding a large bouquet of flowers and is sporting that same small smile that Lena saw the day before just as they were about to finish their bout.
“You came,” Lena says, her voice still a little drowsy from sleep and the pain medication.
Kara grins and pushes off the doorframe. Lena watches as she comes closer and deposits the flowers into a pitcher of water that’s sitting on the small table next to her bed. She’s pretty sure the water was meant for her to drink, but she feels too mesmerized to say anything to Kara, who is now standing right next to her bed.
“I did. Is that alright?”
Lena’s eyes drift towards where Kara’s hip is leaning against her bed and without thinking, she shifts her hand and reaches out to touch Kara’s, loosely letting her fingers curl around a warm, soft palm.
“More than alright,” Lena manages to say even as her eyelids droop.
Kara laces their fingers together and squeezes.
“You should rest. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
“Promise?”
“Of course. I need you to be rested and lucid when I ask you for your number later.”
“Mhm,” Lena mumbles, barely awake. “I believe I asked you out first.”
That prompts a proper laugh, a sound that sends pleasant shivers down Lena’s spine.
“You did. You win.”

♕ No Matter What - Part 2 | Lena Luthor ♕
Tumblr media
Pairing: Lena Luthor x reader
Warnings: none
Summary: Working as Lena’s bodyguard turns out to be more boring than anticipated. Yes, there have been several attempts on her life right before you were hired, but since then… nothing.
Part 1 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
________________________________________________
It’s been three weeks and the only words spoken between Lena and I since I started have been anything but personal.
I get to her apartment in the morning to accompany her to the office, then sit around outside her office, sharing light conversations with Jess every now and then before following her into a high end restaurant for lunch where she meets her best friend Kara Danvers, or some business partners.
After lunch it’s back to the office until dinner, which she usually orders in.
It’s only in the late hours of the night that she finally decides to go home. I obviously accompany her all the way until she’s at her front door where she bids me a polite goodnight before shutting the door in my face.
The next day is the same, and so is the one after that. It’s like clockwork. Until it’s not.
I’m running exceptionally late today because the electricity in my apartment building shorted out in the middle of the night, effectively resetting my alarm clock and deleting the alarm I set for this morning.
In a haste I pulled on some clothes, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair, leaving no time for breakfast.
I rushed out of the door and downstairs, struggling with the lock of my bike for a second before jumping on and pedaling as though my life depended on it.
Now, fifteen minutes late, sweaty and breathing heavily, I get to Lena’s apartment building. I rush inside and shove my bike into the janitors closet, ignoring Ann’s laugh behind the reception desk.
I’m just about to call for the elevator when it dings and the doors open to reveal an annoyed looking Lena Luthor.
“You’re late,” she states, moving to brush past me, but then she notices the state I’m in. “Why do you look like that? Did you run here or something?”
I wipe a droplet of sweat off my forehead and grimace. “I biked, actually…” The unimpressed raise of an eyebrow I receive has me quickly adding, “But that’s not important. I’m so sorry for being late, Ms. Luthor. It won’t happen again.”
Lena’s eyes rake over me once more, only this time she seems more curious than scrutinizing.
“It better not,” she quips and for a moment I can’t believe that she’s actually joking.
I follow her outside and open the backdoor of the waiting car. She slips inside and I follow after her, signaling for the driver to go once we’re both buckled in.
The ride is uneventful, so is the trek from the car to her office. However when she stops in front of Jess’s desk instead of walking into her office, I almost run into her.
‘Ms. Luthor, what—?”
“Jess,” Lena says, ignoring my surprised exclaim. “Could you please grab Y/N a new shirt from the lab storage room? Something a little less sweaty?”.
Oh my God…
If I died right now I honestly wouldn’t care. Anything would be better than this.
Jess hurries off immediately, leaving Lena and I to our own devices.
I don’t dare to meet her eyes, but then she laughs softly and I look up to find her smiling at me.
It’s the first ever genuine smile she’s directing at me and it makes my stomach flip.
“Don’t be embarrassed. It just shows that you actually care about your job,” she says and it’s almost enough to assuage my embarrassment if it weren’t for my stomach growling the next second.
Please, just kill me.
Instead of making a big deal out of it, Lena just crosses her arms with an amused smile and says, “How about some breakfast?”
I’m about to decline, but then my stomach growls again and I agree with a shy nod. “Yes, please.”
We enter her office and she asks me to take a seat on the couch while she rearranges some of her meetings to accommodate for the turn of events.
“Ms. Luthor, you really don’t have to do this, I know you’re busy and—“
Lena raises her hand, effectively shutting me up. “Nonsenses. I want to do this. I want to get to know you better,” she hits return on her keyboard, presumably sending off an email to her staff entailing the details of the change of plans and gets up to join me on the couch.
I frown and bite my tongue to prevent myself from asking but why now?
She hasn’t made any effort to get to know me these last couple of weeks. What’s changed?
First the teasing earlier and now this impromptu breakfast.
“Fine,” I say, a little impatient but Lena doesn’t seem to notice, or she just doesn’t care. “What would you like to know? I feel like there’s hardly anything you don’t already know after reading my resume and the extensive background check your security team did on me.”
Lena’s eyes widen for a split second before she recomposes herself. She shifts in her seat and nervously straightens out her blouse. “Actually, I never took a look at any of that.”
My eyebrows shoot up. “What? But then who—?”
The question dies on the tip of my tongue when Lena meets my eyes with a sheepish smile. “Sam took care of everything.”
Ah, that explains why she hasn’t asked about the honorable discharge. She doesn’t know.
I don’t know if I’m supposed to feel relieved or offended. Relieved because it means I don’t have to talk about what happened, or offended because I know almost every little detail about her by now and she doesn’t even know where I worked before agreeing to this position.
For instance, I know that she’s an excellent chess player, she hates Salmon, she takes her coffee black, she doesn’t like tequila, and she’s not one to shy away from a glazed donut every now and then.
“I only really know your name,” Lena continues with a hint of regret in her voice, “which is a shame because you’ve proven yourself to be competent and discreet.”
The corner’s of my lips twitch involuntarily at that last part because I know she’s referring to the time last week I walked in on her doing a dorky victory dance when she managed to solve an equation on her whiteboard.
She’d gone pale when she realized I was there, but I just acknowledged her with a nod and set down the coffee she’d asked for before leaving the office again, not losing a word to anyone about what I’d witnessed.
“Well, alright then,” I say, the tension melting away. “Ask away.”
Lena perks up and clasps her hands together in her lap. “When’s your birthday?”
“November 12, 1990,” I reply easily. “Almost three years older than you.”
“You know my birthday?”
I shrug. “It was in Sam’s briefing on you.”
Lena looks surprised and slightly alarmed. “What else did she tell you?”
“Not much,” I admit with a small smile. “Just the basics like your birthday, where you went to school, and your favorite restaurants.”
Lena visibly relaxes and gets right back to questioning me. “Good, so what did you do before accepting this position? Sam briefly mentioned you were in the Army, but that’s about it.”
There it is. I don’t want to get into this too much, so I recite the answers I’ve been practicing ever since it occurred to me that she would want to know why I’m no longer serving. “I was, yes, but before Sam approached me about this job I was living off some savings and a the little money I made teaching self-defense classes.”
Savings… more like separation pay that followed my honorable discharge.
It’s so ironic that it’s called an honorable discharge when I feel like I was anything but that in the moment it counted the most.
“Really, that sounds interesting,” Lena says, bringing me back to reality. I’m glad she doesn’t ask any follow up questions, but then she continues and my stomach drops. “And what about siblings? A sister maybe? Or a brother? I’m sure you know all about my brother.”
She laughs self-deprecatingly, not realizing I’ve frozen in my seat.
“No. No siblings,” I croak which seems to get her attention. Her brows furrow in concern and she opens her mouth to say something, but in that moment Jess returns with a black shirt in one hand and a brown paper bag in the other.
I jump to my feet, glad about the interruption and take the shirt from Jess. “Thanks, Jess.”
“No worries,” she chimes, obviously not picking up on the vibe in the room. “Here you go, Ms. Luthor. Two French Toasts and a Pain au chocolat.”
Lena gets off the couch as well and takes the paper bag and it’s only then that I notice the sweet smell it’s emitting.
“I’m gonna go change.” I hold up the shirt for reference and don’t indulge Lena when she sends me a pitiful look. Of course she knows that something is up after the way I just reacted to her question.
I leave quickly and find a bathroom to change in. My shirt is no longer soaked in sweat, but I know it will start smelling over the course of the day, so I change into the new shirt.
It’s a bit small around my shoulders and strains around my arms but it’ll have to do. I exit the stall and splash some water on my face by the sink.
When I look up and meet my own eyes in the mirror I scoff.
Coward.
The white L-Corp logo over my chest reminds me where I am and I banish any thoughts of Noah from my mind. I grab a paper towel and wipe my face before practicing an unbothered smile in the mirror.
After a couple of tries I manage one that even convinces myself and return to Lena’s office.
She’s taken the food out of the paper bag and placed it on some napkins on the coffee table. She’s also managed to organize some coffee which is steaming in two mugs next to the food.
“So, French toast, huh?” I say lightheartedly which causes Lena’s head to snap up.
She eyes me curiously for a second (her eyes momentarily darting to where the shirt is cutting into my biceps) but when she can’t find any traces of my emotional turmoil she takes a seat on the couch and reaches for her coffee.
“Yes, it’s from my favorite breakfast place down the block. I hope you like it.” She sounds just the tiniest bit self conscious which makes me melt a little on the inside, so I take a seat next to her and pick up one of the sugary treats.
I take a bite and hum in delight. “This is great!” I take another bite before swallowing the first and groan. “Wow. I can’t remember the last time I ate something like this.”
When I look up Lena’s watching me over the rim of her mug, hiding a satisfied smile. The awkwardness and tension from ealier has vanished completely and for the first time I think I catch a glimpse of the friend Sam has described Lena to be.
She is a cutthroat business woman, yes, but it seems underneath the tough exterior she’s just like everyone else, proud when the food she got to pick is to someone’s liking.
I take another bite, and another, and another until the French toast is gone and the only traces of its previous existence are the powdered sugar on my hands and the maple syrup around my lips.
I wipe my hands on a spare napkin and take a sip of coffee before getting rid of the maple syrup with the same napkin.
Lena’s only on her second bite when I look her way, but I honestly couldn’t care less about how I just inhaled that treat. I was starving and like I said, it’s been a long time since I’ve eaten something as good as this.
“So,” Lena starts, gracefully setting down her half-eaten toast, “How’d you meet Sam?”
I laugh and sit back, trying not to eye the Pain au chocolat too obviously. “We grew up together. She was living down the block and when her mom kicked her out when she got pregnant we took her in.”
Lena’s eyes widen. “Really? She never told me about that.“ She ponders over the new information for a moment while my eyes dart back and forth between her and the Pain au chocolat. “So that’s why she’s so protective of you.”
I don’t know what exactly she referring to, but I know what she’s talking about. Sam’s always been like that, defending me whenever she deemed it necessary while I’ve always been there for her and Ruby.
“I guess,” I say with a chuckle. “She’s like a sister to me.”
Lena smiles at that, her eyes twinkling with something I can’t quite place as she leans forward to pick up her toast again. “I can see that,” she says, taking a bite. When my eyes drop to the Pain au chocolat once again she notices and smirks.
“Go ahead,” she mumbles around her mouthful of food, gesturing at the pastry with a jut of her chin. “Take it.”
I beam and reach for it, ready to devour it in a few large bites, but then I think better of it. I pick it up and rip it in half as best as I can, taking one half while putting the other back on the napkin and sliding it in front of Lena.
“There, now it’s fair.”
Lena’s eyes widen slightly and she swallows thickly before taking a big sip of coffee to hide tinge of red that’s made its way to her cheeks.
Maybe this year won’t be so bad after all.

ᕚ---ᕘ
The cold winter air came through the open balcony doors and slowly made the room freeze as a tense air spread between Alex and you. You, with a lump in your throat, felt the redhead's words cutting through the air like sharp daggers, ready to leave deep wounds in your heart.
Alex stood there, teeth clenched and eyes blazing with anger. "How can you be so ignorant? It's unbelievable how selfish you are!"
You, with a shiver running down your spine, tried in vain to hold back the tears. You never wanted it to turn into an argument. But Alex's words were like an uncontrollable fire that ate through your relationship, leaving you with no options to explain to her why you had taken the larger sum of money out of your shared bank account.
"Alex, let me explain. I just wanted to..." you started, but your voice was drowned in a sob. You knew you couldn't continue to defend yourself without spilling the beans about the birthday surprise. Those words wouldn't be heard anyway. Not in this frenzy of rage the redhead was currently in.
The eldest Danvers snorted and shook her head. "That's typical of you. Always ready with an excuse. You're just immature and incapable of taking responsibility for finances!"
The pain in your chest was almost unbearable. You just wanted peace again. You wanted everything to go back to how it was a few hours ago when you were laughing together and teasing each other. But this strife seemed unstoppable, a relentless storm that destroyed everything in its path.
Alex turned away abruptly, her hands balled into fists. "I can't take this anymore. I'm going to work." She spoke and you could only stand there silently, unable to act as your sister left the apartment, slamming the door behind her. Tears flowed freely down your cheeks as you stood in the silence of the deserted living room, surrounded by an endless feeling of loneliness.
A short while later, Kara flew into her apartment, her eyes wide in shock as she saw you. "What happened here? Are you okay?" she asked worriedly. You didn't say a word. Instead, you collapsed under the face of your own emotions. All you wanted was for this nightmare to end and for you to feel safe and loved again. But the pain you faced was too deep, and the wounds of the words said would take a long time to heal.
The blonde looked at her younger sister, your shaking body sitting on the floor, surrounded by a sea of tears. Her heart ached when she saw the look of despair on your face. "Come here, little one." Kara whispered softly as she knelt down and wrapped her arms around you. You sank into the embrace without resistance, clinging to Kara as if she were the only constant in a stormy sea.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” you sobbed quietly, your voice barely above an audible whisper. "Why can't I control myself when there is an argument?"
Kara stroked your back soothingly and placed a few kisses on the top of your head. "It's okay, sweetie. Sometimes our emotions are overwhelming, and that's completely normal. Plus, it shows that Alex means a lot to you."
You raised your head, tears shining in your eyes. "But why does this always happen? Why can't I just be strong and overlook it?"
Kara sighed quietly. She had asked herself this question many times in the last few months about why you always reacted so emotionally to arguments, but she didn't know the answer. She carefully brushed a strand of your hair out of your face and looked deeply into your eyes. "Perhaps there are reasons that lie deeper. Reasons that you may not yet understand."
You swallowed hard, a look of realization crossing your face. "I think I'm scared. Scared that I'll lose one of you as soon as an argument arises. That eventually none of you will forgive me and that I'll ruin my relationship with you forever."
The blonde felt a pang in her own heart when she heard the words come out of your mouth. She knew your fears were deep-rooted and wouldn't just go away. But she was also determined to help you and show you that you were loved and accepted, despite some arguments. "Arguments are normal for siblings, my sweet girl," she whispered softly. "Neither of us is going to push you away or anything. I'm going to have a chat with Alex and we'll find a way to deal with it together, okay?"
You nodded at her and she pulled you up. Together you had a cozy day on the couch, where she looked after you and tried to calm you down.
A few hours later, the door opened and Alex hesitantly entered the apartment, her eyes downcast and her face marked with regret. She felt the weight of the silence filling the room and knew she had a lot of explaining to do to make things right with you.
Kara slowly got up from her spot next to you, while you were still clinging to her, and walked towards the redhead. "It's good that you're back," she said calmly, but with a stern tone. "We need to talk. Urgently."
Alex swallowed hard and nodded, her eyes meeting yours and she could see the pain in them. "I'm sorry, Kara. I'm so sorry for what I said. It was unfair and unforgivable to y/n." She spoke and the blonde took her in his arms, surprised by her openness.
"It's okay. We all make mistakes. But we need to talk about it so we can understand what happened." the person addressed hesitated for a moment before continuing. "I spoke to Lena and she told me something that finally made me understand. She's afraid that if we fight, our relationship will be ruined forever because her real parents fought all the time before they split up and put her in a children's home."
Kara sighed and nodded slowly. "Yes, y/n told me that too. It's hard for her to deal with these fears."
Alex looked at her sister seriously before biting her lip and briefly looking at you on the couch. You had now moved into a lying position, the blanket wrapped thickly around you. "We have to show her that she is wrong. That we love her and that we will always be there for her no matter what."
The blonde smiled softly and put her arm around the redhead's shoulder. "We will, Alex. We will show her that she will never be alone and that she always has a place in our family."
They walked over to you arm in arm and took you into their midst. They hugged you tightly, united in their determination to put the fight over money behind them. You all spent the next few hours talking it out, listening to each other, and reassuring each other that you would be there for each other no matter what happened.
And as night fell and you felt tired but relieved, you all knew that you had emerged from each crisis stronger, ready to walk together on a path full of love and forgiveness.

Fem Oc g!p- Phoebe Petera (spider girl)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Warning: MINORS DNA (or smt like that) 18+, praise link, breeding kink. pnv, unprotected sex (wrap before u tap it yall), (Skip don’t read this!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Phoebe zipped through the city, her web allowing her to get a flying feeling as she flung herself into the sky, diving back down and repeating.
She swung past building to building, it was freeing, liberating. Until she remembered she was on her way to help the cities national hero, Super Girl, to help defeat a monster.
“You know, I’m starting to think your putting yourself in danger so I can come save you.” Phoebe muses as she lands next to Supergirl, smirking.
“No- I-“ Supergirl stutters, a faint blush on her cheeks at the flirting.
“Cat got your tongue, sweetheart?” Phoebe teases, shorting a web at the mister before zipping around it to ties it up. She shoots another web at its other
Hand before doing the same, locking it in like they would a psych ward patient.
“I will-“ the monster begins to bellow before Phoebe shoots a web at its mouth before kicking it in its chest to push it over, successfully detaining it.
“I had that.” Supergirl tells her, furrowing her eyebrows.
“Your so cute when you pout.” Phoebe smirks against, walking over to the stuttering women.
“I am not pouting.” Supergirl shakes her head, backing up a little noticing how close Spidergirl was getting to her.
“Whatever you say, princess.” Phoebe smirks at her before shooting her web to repel her into the sky before she swings away.
~~~
“We really got to stop meeting like this.” Phoebe smirks down at Kara, as Phoebe replaced Snapper. Kara kept bumping into her wherever she went. That’s how they got in the situation, Kara didn’t look up form her phone when she entered the elevator, bumping right into Phoebe.
“If you would-“ Kara furrows her eyebrows, frustrated by the raven haired women.
“Talking back to your boss?” Phoebe raises an eyebrow, cutting Kara off as she clicked the top elevator.
“No. I-“ Kara stutters in frustration, allowing Phoebe to have more power over her. The elevator dinged, signally they were at the top floor.
“Danvers, I need your help to carry boxes from the supply room.” Phoebe smirks as Kara went to walk off to her desk. Kara stoped in her tracks, holding in a groan as she turns around to see her boss smirking at her misery.
Phoebe leads them down the hall, into the storage closet. She closes the door once Kara walks in.
“Which boxes?” Kara asks as Phoebe walks behind her, making the intern turn around.
“I don’t know, supergirl, you tell me?” Kara looks up at her surprise showing on her face.
“How do?” Kara stutters.
“How do i know? You aren’t exactly subtle, Sweetheart.” Phoebe tilts her head as she corners Kara to one of the desks.
“Spidergirl?” Kara tilts her head confused.
“Took you long enough, thought I was going to have to spell it out for you.” Phoebe tells her, watching as the Kryptonian blushed as she hit the desk, an inch distance between the two.
“I-“ Kara stutters as it seemed the distance between them only disappeared, Pheobes lips hovering over hers but not fully committing, almost teasing Kara.
Kara growing frustrated like she usually did in the woman’s presence, she pushed forward slightly, connecting their lips.
The frustration and tension was taken out by the kiss as it grew heated. Kara groans as Phoebe parts her lips, invading her mouth with her tongue.
“Jump.” Phoebe commands, wrapping her hands at the back of Kara’s thighs so when she jumps Phoebe picks her up. Setting her down on the desk as standing in between her legs.
Kara moans lightly into Phoebe mouth, suffocating the sound. Phoebe fiddled with the buttons on Kara’s shirt, not trying to rip it but it was opening, so she rips it in half, degrading it on the floor.
“That was my favorite shirt.” Kara pouts, looking at it on the floor.
“I’ll buy you a new one.” Phoebe tells her before reconnecting their lips. Kara only nods into the kiss and takes of Pheobe’s shirt also, their super hero suits.
Pheobes unbuckles Kara’s pants pulling them off in one swift move, leaving the Kryptonian in her superhero suit. Phoebe stepped out of her pants after unbuckling her belt.
She stepped back in between Kara’s legs, pressing her bulge against the super hero’s clothed private part. Kara could on moan as being her closer as they engulfed in a sloppy kiss.
Phoebe moans into the blondes mouth as Kara grinds into her, impatient as always. “Please.” Kara whimpers as she becomes sexually frustrated.
“Since you asked so kindly.” Phoebe breaks the kiss, pulling down her pants enough to let her cock spring out. Kara clenches her thighs at the sight.
“Open.” Phoebe taps the superhero’s thighs making them spring open as commanded.
Phoebe let’s her hands guide themselves up the blondes thigh, onto her clothes parts. She uses on of her hands to guide her cock to the superhero’s clit, moving the piece of clothing to the side.
Kara bucks her hips, moaning at the feeling. “Please.” Kara begs, gasping as Phoebe guides her cock into the woman entrance. She knew Kara could take the the sudden intrusion as her wetness lubed the raven haired woman’s cock.
There was a knock on the door, making Pheobes shoot a web at the door for it to be stuck closed. “Hey is Kara in there?” James calls out, trying to open the door but it wouldn’t budge.
A smirk dances on Pheobes hips as she shallowing thrusts into Kara.
“Yeah she’s helping me go through boxes, we need old articles for a project.” Phoebe calls out. “Sorry there’s a ton of boxes in front of the door.
Phoebe thrusts sharply making Kara gasp loudly.
“Kara be more careful, you gonna end up breaking your foot.” Phoebe pretends to warm her as she smirks down at the helpless Kryptonian who could only cling to her.
“Kara? Are you okay?” James asks worriedly, his not so secret crush on her showing.
“Be a good girl, and answer.” Phoebe whispers in her ear, smirking against her skin.
“Yeah!… I’m.. fine.” Kara calls out, trying to not make any other sound.
“We’ll be done in an hour, if you want to talk to her later.” Phoebe tells him, continuing her thrusts as she covers Kara’s mouth with her hand as the other one fell to her slit, rubbing circler motion.
“Okay.” James replies walking off, as Phoebe’s took her hand off of Kara’s mouth.
“So good.” Phoebe praises, as Kara could only moan back, taking in the rough, deep thrusts.
Phoebe uses her super speed to take Kara on the desk and flip her around, pushing deeper into her. “Be a good girl and cum for me and I’ll think about breeding you, sweetheart.”
Kara clenches her walls around Phoebe’s cock at the words, thrusting herself back into Phoebe, chasing her release. Phoebe matches her thrust.
Phoebe pulls her closer, turning her around so she faced Kara once more, connecting their lips as Kara wrapped her legs around her boss.
“Don’t stop” Kara gasps, as Phoebe reconnects their lips, less sloppily as she swallowed Kara’s moans. Kara squeezed her eyes shut as her climax washed over her like a Tsunami once Phoebe started rubbing circles on her clit.
Phoebe’s thrusts got quicker as she felt Kara release on her, moaning as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She thrusted one last time, all the way in before cumming in Kara. She kept thrusting lightly before coming to a slow stopped as she brought Kara down from her climax.
“Who would have thought the girl of steel had a breeding kink?” Phoebe laughs lightly, as she pulls out of Kara, leaving her to clench her legs together as the cold air hit her.
“I-“ Kara looked like a lost puppy as her words were caught in her throat. Phoebe started putting back on her clothes, helping Kara into her own as he legs shakes lightly.
“Been awhile before someone could keep up?” Phoebe asks, helping the blonde.
“Haven’t met someone who could.” Kara tells her, looking at her a upped shirt.
“Here take this.” Phoebe tells her, handing her the black silk shirt as she put on her coat, buttoning it till she could get back to her office and get one of her spare shirts she has stashed.
“I’ll want to get lunch?” Phoebe asks, knowing she developed a appetites. She watched as Kara’s facial features soften like a kid in a candy store.
“Yes!” Kara smiles, reminding Phoebe of a golden retriever.
“Let’s stop by my office first.” Phoebe opens the door, using her super strength. She let Kara walk out first, her hand on her back as she shut the door behind them.
~~~
“Here.” Phoebe walks to Kara’s desk, handing her a box. Kara looks up at her boss confused, scrunching her knows making Phoebe smile.
Her facial features turned happiness as she saw the four shirts that laid inside the box. It was the exact same as her blue one that got torn but I’m 3 other colors.
Blue. Red. Black. White.
“I’m was heading out for brunch. Want to join me?” Phoebe asks her, raising an eyebrow as she subtly smirked, hearing Kara’s heart beat faster.
“I would love to.” Kara got up, setting the box on her desk, closing it before walking with Phoebe to the elevator.

A New Beginning: A Supergirl 6x20 Re-Write
Chapter One: Back to Reality
There was definitely a new air about National City that night, and there was definitely a new air about Kara Danvers as well. Sitting in her chair in the main meeting area of the CatCo bullpen, wearing a red and cream tartan suit with her hair perfectly blown out; almost as if she flew there in a rush so she wouldn’t be late.
Thanks to a very important person at her sister’s wedding, who can only be described as the living embodiment of regality with a soft marshmallow center, and a droning force in short but fun-sized packed persona over the phone, she decided that this interview was not only the right time to tell the City she called home for years who she was, but all to breathe. To become herself. Her WHOLE self.
“Are you sure you want to do this Kiera?” The incomparable Cat Grant almost floated in to do this interview, she was that mystical and ethereal. “Once you do this, your life will be changed, and the horrid, ridiculous guest appearances start.”
“I’m sure. This is exactly what I need to do.” Kara takes a relaxing deep breath to calm her nerves.
“And none of your family knows you’re doing this?” Cat’s eyebrow makes an ever present curious arch.
“Nope…Though this would be a good surprise.” A slightly nervous, but at peace chuckle was the clear indicator that she was ready.
“Well then…” Cat gave her famous, let’s get down to business smirk. “Let’s make history.”
*The Lena Luthor Foundation--Head Office*
Catching up on some paperwork, Lena had lost track of time.
“Knock knock.” A rap on the door frame from Andrea had greeted her. “Figured you could use the company and pick me up.”
“Andrea.” A smile brighter than Rao itself was the indicator that she needed a break. “You’re a lifesaver. And thank you. I lost track of time, I actually forgot to eat.”
“Well, when Kara is off changing the world in her new Girl Boss position, someone needs to be there as back up.” Andrea began to unpack a bag of Big Belly Burger, and turn on the tv in Lena’s office. “So, where is Kara exactly? Didn’t you tell me she would be here too?”
“She was, but she had something come up with Cat about changing the layout of their next issue. And something that big, I wouldn’t keep her from that. I told her she could simply make up to me at home.” Hiding her smirk when she said that was not even going to happen.
“I bet.” A chuckle was bound to happen. “I’m happy for you, Lena. Ever since our last catch up after Alex and Kelly’s wedding, it seems like you and Kara are closer than ever.” Andrea was genuinely happy for her friend.
But what she didn’t know was that there was indeed a moment between her and Kara at the wedding. However, just as she was about to say those three words, Nia had called them to wave goodbye to the blushing brides.
“We are. It feels very cathartic that we can just be ourselves with each other. And after all of that time I spent being angry at her for simply…” She definitely couldn’t reveal Kara’s secret. “Keeping a family secret to herself, I had time to think about all of that.” Lena shrugged as she ate.
*The Suburbs of National City*
Family Movie Night was in full swing at the Danvers-Olsen household. Tonight’s plans: Chocolate Drizzle Popcorn, A giant order of potstickers no one had to fight over because Kara wasn’t there to inhale them like a Hoover vacuum, and a big pitcher of lemonade with “special additions” for the adults.
“Alex, hurry up! The movie is starting.” Kelly hollered from the living room
“I’m coming.” She warmly chuckled, followed by a delightful peck on the lips and greeted Kelly upon her return. “Movie nights require extra blankets.” Alex lays one over Kelly and Esme, who was practically shoveling the popcorn by the handful.
“And I feel honored to have finally made a movie night. It’s been a while since I’ve visited. The Tower has kept me rather busy. With you ladies enjoying your time off, and Kara being a big shot with Cat, Brainy, Nia and M’Gann are helping as much as they can.” J’onn grinned warmly as he leaned back in his armchair.
“And tell M’Gann we said thank you for her gift. That Martian salt lamp, I’ll admit, was a little…odd. But the living room was the perfect place for it.” Alex quickly retorts.
“Sssssh.” Esme takes a break from chewing. “You guys are going to miss the best part.” She jokingly glares at them with her crystalline amber-brown eyes.
“It’s the beginning.” Kelly could help but laugh at her daughter’s reaction.
“Exactly. Everything you need to know is in the beginning and I don't want to miss a thing.” She goes right back to devouring her popcorn, eyes practically glued to the TV.
All three adults exchange a glance that read “I swear she’s smarter than all of us.”
“She gets that from you.” Kelly smirked, mouthing to Alex, before turning to the screen herself.
While watching, Alex just took in her surroundings for a moment. For all her life, she had dreamed of having a family of her own. Of having a partner that would love her regardless, good times and bad. Pinching herself to check if it was real was no longer necessary. Her dream had finally come true. With a content exhale, she wrapped her arm around Kelly, pulling her close to snuggle under their blanket.
*CatCo Bullpen*
“Thirty seconds to air, Miss Grant.” A camera assistant reminds them as the equipment setup is finished.
“Are you ready to make history?” Cat smirked.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” Kara took a deep breath, closing her eyes just for a moment. In that moment, all of that conflicting weight about having to choose between Supergirl, and Kara Danvers…was gone. Yes, she still had the trauma she never really dealt with, but finding a therapist would be tomorrow’s plan. Right now, she wanted to show those little girls out there who look up to her, that you can have as many sides to you as you want.
With a definitive and proud nod to the camera person, the red light turns on.
“Hello National City. You know her as Kara Danvers, CatCo’s Ace reporter and NEW Editor In Chief. But tonight, it is my great honor to introduce to you…Supergirl.”
As she was saying those words, trying to remain as professional as possible, she could feel her sense of pride grow. Cat had known Kara since the start. Yes, she was mean and hostile. But it was only because she wanted Kara to see her full potential, and as soon as she figured out that Kara and Supergirl were one in the same, she pushed Kara harder. She knew the doubts were still there. Hence the blunt, but caring pep talk she had given her over the phone. Cat always knew how great Kara’s value was. Being able to not only break the story about Supergirl, but to be able to interview her protege in the end…She hadn’t had too many “proud mom” moments in her life, but seeing the person Kara had become over the years right in front of her; The growth she could see from Kara’s smile alone, it was certainly just that.
And even though Cat knew her identity for years, hearing her mentor say it, seeing her mentor smile while saying it, it took all of her willpower to not tear up. In that presence space, Kara and Supergirl were whole.
*The Lena Luthor Foundation--Head Office*
Andrea had nearly had her milkshake come out of her nose watching the TV. “Wait, you’re telling me…” Her Sage/Mint Green eyes wider than usual, she had to set down her dinner. “All of those times. The time Supergirl saved me when Nxly nearly threw me up against my back office wall, that weird white tiger incident…”
Lena simply sat there, stifling a chuckle while nodding. “Yeah. It’s a lot. But it was for Kara to tell you herself, and not me.”
Rubbing her face as if that would help the news process faster, Andrea leaned back in her office chair getting pained realization across her face. “Kara was missing for those weeks. Her hesitancy to write about the Phantoms. Her being scrambled…oh my god.”
“Andrea, it's okay.” Lena reaches for her friend’s hand to assure her.
“It’s not Lena.” Shaking her head, refusing to act like she was nice to Kara. “I was nothing but rude to Kara. I shot down every idea, criticized her work when it was perfectly fine. I couldn’t even pick up on the fact that the Phantom situation probably caused her even more trauma after I forced her to write about it.”
“That’s an understatement.” Lena whispers under her breath.
“Even sending William to flat out snoop on her and the Super Friends was a dumb move. It…” Andrea was flashing back to that video.
“Don’t even go there. It wasn’t your fault. As nice a guy as he was, he could’ve prevented his own death. Sending that video to guilt trip you was a shite move on his part.” That was one thing that made Lena angry about that situation: there was an easy solution, but someone with a small brain decided to have the last word.
“I know.” Giving a somewhat sad smile, Andrea was grateful for Lena’s assurance and advice. “And Hopefully opening a school in his honor, as well as an award, is the first step to getting future Kara Danvers’, Nia Nal’s and William Dey’s pursuing the truth.” Looking at the clock. “Well, I should go. Tell Kara I said hi.” She gives Lena a much needed hug, and turns on her heel.
“I will Andrea. Drive safe.” As soon as she left, she practically lunged for her phone.
“Two things: That suit, The Cher Clueless vibes REALLY suit you ;). And when you get home…we need to talk.”
With an effervescent smirk, her own heart growing warmer by the second, Lena sat back in her office chair, and watched the rest of the interview with Kara and Cat. She had always been proud of Kara; who wouldn’t of their own best friends accomplishments? But with every word Kara spoke, Lena could visibly see how much her words to Kara at Alex’s wedding helped.
“My girlfriend is HOT.” She chuckled to herself.
*The Suburbs of National City*
A silence had fallen in the Danvers-Olsen household. While J’onn, Kelly and Alex were a mixture of shock and pride, Alex especially. There was her baby sister, at peace with who she is on TV, being interviewed by the person who had seen her grow just as much. Her eyes were glassy with tears, causing her vision to slightly blur. Despite the stinging in her corneas, a smile as big as the milky way galaxy was plastered right across her face.
“Aunt Kara!” Esme on the other hand, practically flew off the couch to sit closer to the TV so she could watch her aunt in all her glory.
The look she had on her face was priceless, magnified by one hundred.
“Well, if that isn’t the cutest thing on this planet.” Kelly grinned, watching Esme. “I don’t think I’ve seen Esme with this much wonder before.”
“Wouldn’t you if your Aunt was a superhero?” J’onn beamed, listening to the interview questions. “Even being interviewed, she has a gift with words.”
“I’m not surprised. If there was one subject she was good at in high school, it was creative writing.” Alex quickly dabbed her eyes so she could have a clearer view while watching. “I always thought Kara would do something like this, but just print. I had no idea that she was going to let Cat interview her.”
“It’s pretty full circle if you think about it. That one issue of CatCo you showed me, Cat was the one to break the story. I think it’s poetic that Cat is the one to finally get Kara to open up about being Supergirl.” Wise as ever, Kelly too had a twinkle of happiness watching.
“But that would mean…” Alex’s cogs were turning. “Oh…wow. That means Cat has always known too.”
“Aunt Kara really needed a different disguise.” Esme laughed at her own joke.
“Yeah…glasses were definitely not the best idea.” Alex responded with a resounding agreement.
“Can we go see Aunt Kara tomorrow to tell her we saw the interview?” Esme turns to all three of them, puppy dog eyes turned all the way up to 11.
“She mastered that quickly.” J’onn smirked at her reaction, watching Alex and Kelly slowly but surely cave.
“If she’s not too busy with work?” Alex turned to Kelly for the assist.
“I think your Aunt Kara would love that surprise.” Kelly booped her precious little button nose.
“Yay!” Esme cheered. “I’m going to go draw a picture of her to give it to her tomorrow before bed.” She takes off running to her room.
“I will take that as my cue that movie night is over.” J’onn surges from his chair to give the girls each a hug.
“Thanks again for coming, J’onn. Esme wouldn’t let up about inviting you to movie night.” Kelly jokes, returning his sentiment.
“She really does have everyone wrapped around her finger.” He fondly jokes right back.
“I wouldn't have it any other way.” Alex gives him a bear hug with a pleased feeling of content. Both she and Kelly waved goodbye, then began to pick up the aftermath of snacks.
“So, how are you feeling?” Kelly could always tell when something was on Alex’s mind.
“Like someone just shook the emotional magic eight ball that was inside me, and asked “Is Alex going to cry?” Answer: Without question.” Alex’s sense of humor always somehow made her feel less emotional in order to get herself to stop crying. “Though, I’m shocked Kara didn’t text, or reveal anything about this.”
“Maybe that was the point of the surprise. All of those pep talks you’ve given her over the years, plus Lena, and whatever blunt and slight scary pep talk Cat gave her…was the push she needed to do this.” Kelly came up behind Alex to wrap her arms around her waist, resting her chin on her shoulder. “It’s nice to see your sister be her authentic self.”
“You’re right.” Grinning, Alex spun to meet Kelly’s luminous brown eyes. “And between you and I, I think Lena did most of the pushing to get her to this point. Now if she’d only just remove those blinders of hers.”
“You’re bad.” Kelly teased before leaning in to meet Alex’s lips the rest of the way.
“Cue the song Bad to the Bone.” Alex, quite pleased with herself, closes the gap. “Come on, let’s go see how our little Bob Ross is doing on her masterpiece.”
Hand in hand, they stood watching Esme. Swelling with a sense of home and completeness, that couldn’t help but turn to mush watching their daughter reach for color after color as she drew Kara on TV. To them, this was their definition of perfect.
*CatCo Bullpen*
“Thank you, Miss Grant. This is exactly what I needed.” With a loud exhale, Kara felt freer than she had ever felt in her entire life.
“I should be the one thanking you, Kiera.” Cat admits. “These next words I’m about to stay within this bullpen…” She then turns to give the iciest glare to the camera operators. And just like that, as if by magic they disappeared. “I may be snarky, callus and rude…” Immediately, her finger goes up to ward off any sarcastic comments that would come out of Kara’s mouth. “But I really do care. Those Groucho Marx glasses of yours, you didn’t need them. That disguise worked about as well as the superhero’s first suit in a pilot episode on the CW. I already knew you were special. Whether it be your writing, or how you interact with people. As far as I'm concerned, you were Supergirl in the office. Even then, I knew you were giving people a sense of Hope. Being able to do this here, with you…Not only has it been the highlight of my entire career, it is the moment I am most proud of.”
“I don’t --I…” Kara quickly pinched her tear ducts to stop herself from crying before giving a reserved, but very big hug. “Thank you.” She shakes her feelings away, taking a step back.
“You’re welcome.” Cat didn’t let many people hug her; Kara was one of those lucky few. “Now you better run along to your girlfriend, because I’m sure she wants to see you after this momentous occasion.”
“How did you?!” Kara’s face instantly goes Hubba Bubba pink.
“Oh please, it's about as obvious as the beginning of every Christmas and Valentine’s Day movie on the Hallmark Channel. Go.” Cat shooed her as she packed up her stuff.
A booming woosh was all that was heard as Kara left. She knew she had to figure out what the second half of Lena's text meant. Did she forget something? Was she in trouble for eating the last piece of cheesecake? Getting an I’m Sorry as a just in case was her best bet.
Here it is. My very first chapter of my Supergirl fanfic. I’m super nervous about sharing, but please let me know what you think in the comments, and any KIND constructive criticism you have as well.

Hii! If you want to: For the trope mashup: 12. Roommate Au + 63. Mistaken for a couple?
"How does my lipstick look, babe?"
Kelly finishes applying the light coat of plum lipstick onto her lower lip, and turns around for her girlfriend's inspection. Behind her, Alex grins.
"Like it wants me to kiss it off." An arm snakes around Kelly's waist, and she finds herself pressed against her girlfriend's wiry frame. Alex smirks, but she's careful to kiss the corner of Kelly's mouth to make sure she doesn't smudge her makeup.
"You look beautiful, as always. But like I told you, you don't have to look perfect today. It's just my sister." Alex's smile turns sweet, and her eyes soften as her intimate embrace turns into a comforting hug. "Kara's gonna love you, no matter how you look."
Kelly touches her cheek, smiling when Alex nuzzles into her hand. "I know, I just want to make a good impression."
Alex kisses her palm. "This goes both ways, you know. She'll be wanting to make a good impression on you too. She's probably driving Lena crazy rearranging their furniture for the twentieth time today."
Kelly tips her head curiously. "Lena?"
"Yeah. Her roommate." There's an exasperated note in Alex's voice that doesn't go unnoticed.
"Wait, Lena as in Lena Luthor? James's girlfriend?" Kelly's interest is piqued. "I knew Lena was sharing her apartment with a friend, and I know you said Kara had a roommate, but I didn't realize that the two of them lived together. Small world, huh?"
"Oh, it's about to get a lot smaller, babe." A grim smile accompanies the ominous words, but Kelly puts it down to Alex being dramatic. "You'll see."
Kara and Lena's apartment turns out to be a lovely pre-war brownstone in the quieter side of town, far enough away from the noise of the city, but close enough for a short commute.
The first thing Kelly sees when the door bursts open is a wide, beaming smile that's familiar to her from the photos on Alex's phone. Kara Danvers's smile radiates from a cellphone screen, but it's even brighter and lovelier in person.
"Hi, you must be Kelly! Welcome! It's so nice to meet you! I've heard so much about you from Alex and James, I feel like I know you already!"
Kelly barely gets a glimpse of blonde hair and blue eyes before she's swept into a friendly hug amidst the babble. She returns it as warmly, if not as enthusiastically. "It's great to finally meet you too, Kara."
Over Kara's shoulder, Kelly sees Lena Luthor saunter into the room at a much more sedate pace, a wry smile on her lips. "She's a hugger."
"Lena, hi." Once Kelly is released, she reaches a hand toward her brother's girlfriend.
"Hi, Kelly." Lena greets her with a delicate kiss to her cheek and a warm smile. "Always good to see you."
Kara blinks at both of them, looking between Kelly and Lena.
"Wait, you guys know each other...? Oh, right! James. Pfft." Kara smacks herself on the head with a sheepish smile. "Of course, I forgot."
Alex makes the strangest noise at that, something between a disgruntled snort and a derisive laugh. Kara blushes lightly and determinedly avoids Alex's eyes. Kelly turns to her girlfriend, but Alex just shakes her head.
The moment passes, and they're swept into the living room with offers of coffee, tea and snacks. As they move further into the apartment, Kelly immediately notices certain things.
The living room is bright and inviting, with large windows to let in natural light. There's art tastefully adorning the wall. Some rather expensive pieces that Kelly recognizes from the art classes she took in college, mixed with a few pieces that have a "KD" signature on the corners.
There's a lot of photos too, all of them featuring Kara and Lena together. Some framed and hung in places of honor on the walls, like the black-and-white picture of Kara and Lena, obviously taken at a gala, standing close with their arms around each other's waists.
Some are unframed -- like a grinning selfie of them together; a solo picture of Lena standing in front of an arcade booth, shyly tucking her head into a giant plushie; a photo of Kara painting at an easel; and a snapshot of Kara and Lena lounging outside what Kelly recognizes as Lena's summer lake house -- each tacked affectionately onto the refrigerator door with cute little magnets, along with ticket stubs and other mementos.
As the visit progresses, Kelly's observation shifts and hones in on the two women themselves.
Kara is delightfully enthusiastic as she questions Kelly about her job, her hobbies, how long she's lived in National City, how she and Alex met, if she's ever had any pets. There's a genuine curiosity to her questions, eager without being interrogating, interested without trying to intimidate -- as if she really just genuinely wants to know more about her sister's girlfriend.
And she and Lena are clearly very at ease together. They weave around each other fluidly -- Lena passing the mug Kara's reaching for before she even asks for it, Kara gently shifting Lena away from the home espresso machine so she can take over making the coffee.
This really shouldn't be surprising, considering they live together and they've introduced each other as "best friends". But there's something about the naked affection between them that surprises Kelly.
She's known Lena for a couple of years now, has seen her enough times to form an impression of her. When James had first taken Lena home to meet their family, Lena had been perfectly polite and lovely toward them, all smiles and poised grace, a bottle of Cheval Blanc in one hand and a bouquet of their mother's favorite azaleas in the other.
But as affable as Lena had been during each visit, Kelly had the feeling that Lena had never truly relaxed in their company, no matter how friendly they had been. There had never been any outward anxiety or awkwardness, but Kelly had gotten the sense that she was very carefully choosing every word, controlling every move, so as not to make a mistake. And while Kelly is never one for armchair diagnosing anyone -- especially not someone who is, for all intents and purposes, a friend -- her clinical brain had been skimming lightly over 'OCPD' and 'anxiety disorder' whenever she and Lena hung out.
So, to see Lena so comfortable and relaxed, so blatantly affectionate and intimate with another person, is admittedly a surprise to Kelly. Not a bad one, just... unexpected. And interesting.
Kelly observes both women keenly.
Kara joins them in the living room, balancing two cups of coffee in her hands. One she hands carefully to Kelly with a bright grin, and the other she places gently on the table in front of Lena. When Lena turns to her with a grateful smile, Kara bends down and presses a soft kiss to the top of her head. Lena closes her eyes for a moment and leans slightly closer to Kara.
Kelly tips her head curiously at them. "So... how long have you two been together?"
Lena blinks and turns away from Kara to pick up her own cup, blushing lightly. She clears her throat before taking a sip, but Kara just looks at her, grinning widely.
"Oh, we met about a year and half ago, when I did an article on her new nanobot technology. We nerded out so much together that the interview turned into lunch, then coffee, then dinner."
Kara leans toward Lena and nudges her lightly with her shoulder. "She was so brilliant and fascinating, and so passionate about her new projects that we couldn't stop talking. By the time I was ready to leave, I realized the office was empty, and Lena's assistant had left hours ago."
A soft shy smile graces Lena's face, and she ducks her head. "Kara's one of the few people who can keep up and actually challenge me when we're discussing nanotechnology and bioengineering."
On anybody else -- hell, even on the Lena that Kelly had been accustomed to -- it would sound arrogant and condescending. But Lena says it so softly, and she looks at Kara with such genuine adoration, that it can't be mistaken as anything but a sincere compliment. Kara lays a hand on Lena's, squeezing her fingers gently.
"We've been best friends ever since! And we just became so much closer since we moved in together. It's been, what, almost a year?" Kara looks to Lena for confirmation.
"Eleven months next week, darling." Lena says fondly as she stands to refill the pastry plate. Kelly looks between the two women and observes the soft bright gaze Kara sends Lena as she disappears into the kitchen.
"Eleven awesome months!" Kara beams as she takes a bite of her pastry. Across from her, Alex rolls her eyes heavenward.
Despite the occasional oddness, Kelly enjoys their visit. Kara and Lena are excellent company, and they're all having such a lovely time that Kelly and Alex decide to stay longer.
Toward the evening, the four of them end up getting dinner at a quiet little Italian bistro near the apartment.
They're getting into the wine when Kelly finally thinks it's safe to bring up the elephant in the room. She sets her wine glass down and regards Kara with a thoughtful smile.
"So, Kara... James told me that you were his friend, but he didn't tell me you were his meta as well."
Alex chokes on her wine, and Kelly serenely rubs her back. Alex coughs and attempts to hide an amused smirk behind her napkin.
"His what?" Kara blinks up at Kelly, her brows forming a confused crinkle on her forehead.
"His meta," Kelly prompts as clearly and as gently as she can. "You know, his metamour?"
"What's a metamour?" The crinkle on Kara's forehead grows, and she and Lena exchange a bewildered look.
Kelly studies both women closely. "It's the term used in polyamorous relationships for the partner of your partner."
"The partner of my...." It takes a few seconds, but it's clear when the realization hits Kara. Her cheeks bloom a bright red, and her eyes widen. Her mouth drops open, choking out a few stuttering sounds before she can speak again. "Oh. Oh. That's um -- I-I'm not, um-- Lena's, uh--"
Lena is the first to be coherent, and she swiftly snatches her hand back from where it had been resting next to Kara's on the table. Her lips narrow and a blush rises high on her cheeks. "Kara and I are just... friends."
Kara's face is fire-engine red, and she coughs out an awkward, almost manic laugh. "Yeah, no. We're not -- p-poly -- not that there's anything wrong with that, but um-- that's not us..."
Her breathless laugh trails off into a desperate wheeze, and she turns back to her plate of gnocchi, staring hard as if contemplating burying her face in it. Beside her, Lena discreetly throws back half the wine in her glass.
"My mistake," Kelly smiles, contrite. "I shouldn't have assumed."
Thankfully, the waiter arrives at the table, asking how they're enjoying their food, and they all jump at the distraction, assuring him that they find it all delicious. Once the waiter leaves, Kelly redirects the conversation to her trip to Italy a few years ago.
For the rest of the night, Kara makes a valiant attempt at a cheerful front, but it's clear that most of the wind has been taken out of her sails. Lena makes it through the rest of the dinner with a tight smile.
When they all finally part, and Alex slides into the car at the end of the night, Kelly turns to her girlfriend, widening her eyes. "Well. That was..."
Alex bursts out into a laugh, shaking her head. "I know, right?? I told you!"
"Wow..." Kelly shakes her head with a small chuckle. As Alex starts the car, she pulls out her phone and starts typing. Alex looks at her curiously.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm texting my Mom for her peach cobbler recipe," Kelly explains without looking up. "James may like to pretend he's all tough and stoic and unaffected after a breakup, but nothing makes him cry like our Mom's peach cobbler. It's very nostalgic for him."
Alex gives her a curious glance out of the corner of her eye as she pulls out onto the street. "You think my sister's gonna break James and Lena up?"
Kelly gives her a knowing smile. "I mean, babe... I like your sister, Kara seems like she wouldn't hurt a fly. And Lena's a nice person... But given what we saw tonight, I think we both know how that's gonna end up. And I still need to be there for my brother when he inevitably gets his heart broken."
"Fair enough."
...
...
When they visit Kara and Lena at their apartment again a few months later, nothing has changed.
It's the same cozy, pre-war apartment with large windows and high ceilings. The decor hasn't changed, and the same photos of Kara and Lena adorn the walls and the fridge.
The only thing that's different is that when Kara hands Lena her coffee, she doesn't kiss Lena on the top of her head. Instead, Kara puts down the coffee and gives Lena a sweet, lingering kiss on the lips instead.
While Alex pretends to gag and Kara throws a couch pillow at her head, Kelly smiles and lifts her coffee cup at Lena.
"Glad you finally figured that out."
Lena ducks her head shyly, but there's no carefully controlled tightness, no hidden anxiety in her eyes as she returns Kelly's smile. She takes a delicate sip from her cup.
"So am I."

When the Sky Falls
******************************************************** Okay so this will be a little different but here it is...
Summary: Supergirl x Star Girl mash-up based on season one when they are staked out in the cabin but also when they fight eclipso in season two just imagine mass chaos and an old friend calls for help. The catch is that you're also 8 months pregnant, captaining a team helping to save the world. Lena Luthor x pregnant!wife! reader
********************************************************
Brrrr! Brrrr!
You heard a phone going off and felt Lena shift behind you, unwrappping her arms and you no longer could feel her pressed against your back. you glanced at the alarm clock, 2:27am, who is calling at this ungodly hour? "Hello?" she answered. You could hear muffled talking on the other end and then she turned back handing the phone to you. you tried your best to sit up but being 8 months pregnant made it extremely hard so you scooted back resting against the headboard and pillows.
"Y/N Luthor speaking."
"Hey Y/N it's me Pat Doogan, though I knew you as Y/N Avery back then."
"Pat, like Starman's 2nd hand, it's been a while. What's going on it's 2:30 in the morning."
"Yes about that, It's a long story but I need your help and your team. Eclipso got out and I love my stepdaughter but her and her friends can't do this alone."
"Pat, if he's out then he'll be after that staff."
"I know and turns out my stepdaughter now wields it."
"Okay, let me make a few calls, do you know where my old cabin was?"
"Yea but it was small enough for like three people."
"Yea well perks of marrying a billionaire that understands the stress of the superhuman, crimefighting life, she helped me rebuild it. Just trust me it'll fit everyone and it's completely off the grid and high tech go there and hang out until we can get to you."
"Okay, got it, see you soon hopefully."
"Oh trust me you will, you're gonna need us."
You turned to Lena but she already knew, she grabbed the bags from the closet as you got out of bed threw a couple extra things in, and ran them downstairs. You quickly sent out an emergency alert, asking for Wynn, James, Alex, and of course Kara. telling them all to grab their suits and rendezvous at your house, within 20 minutes they were all there ready to go. When arriving at the cabin you saw Pat's car parked and assumed S.T.R.I.P.E. was somewhere nearby in hiding. You saw the lights on and everyone quickly followed behind you and Lena. You could hear arguing in the den you were standing on the balcony above looking down at the scene before you, Pat, another middle-aged blonde woman who you assumed was his wife, a young girl who looked like the woman with wavy blonde hair, a tall boy with disheveled brown hair, and two other girls one Latino with long black braids, and another girl black with short coily hair. You saw blueprints laying on the table before them and you could hear them arguing strategies.
"Well I hate to break up this party but I might be able to help," you started down the stairs. everyine jumped to attention quickly arming themselves, you saw a girl out of the corner of your eye tall, black hair with white highlights, a blade coming from her wrist. "Yes I knew you would make it." Pat quickly made his way over and introduced everyone. "It's been so long and now your married and a baby on the way that's crazy!"
"Yea but that's life," you smiled at Lena, "Anyway everyone this is my team Wynn Schott my technical analyst, Alex Danvers, Len Luthor, James Olsen the guardian, and of course Kara who you all know as Supergirl. I told Pat I would only bring the best." they were all whispering and started to get excited that a Kryptonian was in the same room as them. "Before we go any further Lena and I are glad everyone is here we just wish it was under better circumstances, but villians don;t take days off so lets get eveyine in their bunks and we can figure this out."
"I don't think there's enough bunks though."
"You just need to know where to look," Lena quickly motioned to the wall and it moved revealing and elevator, you stayed uo all night talking strategy and then before you knew it storms started coming and it was time your team needed to move out.
--Time jump--
You were at the cabin with Barbara being the command center, while everyone else was in town, Lena and Wynn took Beth to the town hall to break into mainframes while everyone else was underground fighting, Lena had specially designed suits for everyone to monitor vitals and conditions. Everything was going smoothly until you lost connections to comms and couldn't get them back, vitals started to spike and before you knew it they all went down. Barbara was trying her best to keep calm and help you but moving between screens was becoming harder by the second. You paused a second and shifted in your chair starting to feel a slight tightening, but you blew it off, you needed to get your team and everyone else out alive. You stood up pushed the chair away and continued back to your typing, forgetting the woman behind you.
"Y/N are you okay?" You heard Barbara speak up, forgetting she was there you had allowed yourself to wince, not realizing she saw.
"Yea, it's just hard to be in the dark like this, not knowing if my team or those kids are okay."
"That's not what I meant, you're getting close to your due date which can be stressful enough on the body." She said placing a comforting hand on your back.
"Look I understand the concern but that's my wife, the mother of my child, and my baby's aunts and uncles are down there. I can't sit here trying not to stress myself out when for all I know they could be laying there helpless bleeding out or worse." You felt another pain and this time you knew it was too late, inhaling and taking a deep breath leaning against the desk, almost hitting the floor but feeling her guide you back into the chair.
she bent down in front of you, holding on of your hands. "Trust me, if anyone understands, I do but you're not helping anyone if you're in labor and trying to run a command center by yourself, tell me what to do let me be your hands."
"Okay," you shook your head pitifully at her and started giving her instructions, you stood and started pacing back and forth allowing it to ease the pain while she typed away. Another pain came causing you to stop in your tracks and lean against the far corner of the desk, you tried breathing and a small whine escaped your lips, Barbara watched you out of the corner of her eye, noting that you were getting closer and closer to having this baby. She finished typing her last couple of lines and carefully approached you, you felt her hands slowly massage your lower back relieving some of the pressure. "Okay I think it might be time to move you back upstairs."
"What? No, we need to get connection back."
"Y/N it's trying to restore but if we don't go soon you're gonna have that baby right here, and I don't think you want that?"
You shook your head no, "Just try one more time and if it works we can go upstairs and monitor from one of the tablets."
"One more time," she said studying your eyes and you teared up, you quickly shut them feeling another contraction, and winced as she turned to reboot the program. You both held your breath but then you heard it static and then everything came back at once you watched as the screens lit back up and everyone's pictures and vitals came back online. they quickly transferred to a tablet and Barbara grabbed it moving towards you. You heard her breathe a sigh of relief, and turn to look at you but your face was painted with concern as you looked down, you felt the warm liquid running down your leg and onto the floor, she followed your eyes and then you both looked back up your demeanor suddenly betraying you and breaking from its normal confidence.
"Y/N, your water."
"I....I.." you were speechless. She wrapped her arm around you and quickly took you back upstairs to the master suite. you leaned against the bedpost in pain as she rubbed your back. "Y/N I'm going to call Alex and try to get someone here but unfortunately I'm not sure." you nodded trying to breathe through the pain. She slipped and earpiece in and was talking over the comms, you could only hear what she was saying and the reaction didn't sound good, things started moving fast she was running around grabbing supplies while you fought contractions that were coming on after the other.
20 minutes later Alex and Lena both rush into the room. Alex rushes into the ensuite bathroom washing her hands and asking Barbara questions while Lena rushes to your side, she helps you placing an arm around your back and guiding you onto the bed, she sits behind you and you press into your wife's chest wanting nothing more than this to be over. That's when Alex comes over and helps take your pants, and underwear off. "Y/N this is really going to be uncomfortable but I need to check and see where you're at." You shook your head and waited, feeling her insert two fingers but they didn't make it far before she met your baby's head.
"Okay, Barbara grab some gloves and get over here I'm gonna need some help," Alex climbed up onto the bed in between your legs placing one hand on your knee and the other on your bump. "Y/N I wish this wasn't going to happen here but it looks like this little one wants to meet their mama's a little early."
"It's too early, I have a month left!" you gritted out.
"Well looks like this little one is an overachiever, it'll be okay just on this next contraction I need you to push."
Several pushes, a little bit of blood, and an hour later, "Okay Y/N, stop pushing, I need to...just give me one second."
"What's wrong?" no response so you asked again, no response. "Dammit Alex what's wrong with my baby!"
"Y/N I need you to relax, the shoulder is stuck I'm going to have to check the cord first and then shift the baby but it's going to hurt."
"I don't care, save my baby," she looked at you knowing the danger of the situation, "Alex, you know I trust you with my life so I am telling you now, no matter how loud I scream or how many times I tell you to stop you do what you have to, to save this baby."
"Y/N" you could feel Lena tense behind you. "Do you understand?" she looked at Alex. "No, I said do you understand?"
"Yes."
"Okay then." you gripped Lena's hand and pressed back against her feeling her tears fall, Alex quickly felt for the cord but it wasn't around the neck, now for the hard part. You felt you place two hands on your bump hesitantly and she looked into your eyes, you gave her the go-ahead and closed them gritting your teeth as you felt her start, but that quickly turned into a blood-curdling scream as you felt the pressure on the sore muscles and the baby shifting. "Oh God, I'm okay, I'm okay, God that hurts." You gritted your teeth and felt the baby shift, "Okay Y/N push, go ahead and push." You bore down and pushed with everything you had, feeling the shoulder come loose and the baby slides down. The cry filled the room and Alex wrapped her in one of the white towels laying her on your chest.
"She's here!"
"She?" Lena asked and Alex shook her head.
"We have a daughter, a baby girl."
--Time Jump--
Everyone had returned from defeating Eclipso and Kara was now holding her niece talking to Alex as the rest of the younger team filed in to see. they each got to say hellos before she brought her back into your room. handing her back to Lena and she turned to you, embracing you as Lena watched happily and her daughter cooed.
"I'm so happy for you."
"Thank you Kara, for everything, for getting everyone out alive and making sure my wife made it back for the birth of our baby girl," the two women shared a look, making you laugh. "Oh don't think I didn't notice Lena made it here in five minutes when she should've only made it in 30."
"Oh Love you never miss a thing do you." You all laughed Lena coming in to kiss you.
"So did you pick a name or am I just going to keep calling her nugget?" Kara asked. you all chuckled and you looked at Lena her giving you the okay.
"You can call her nugget all you want," you said handing her back to Kara, "But meet your niece Adira Kara Luthor, it means strong and powerful which is something that I want her to be one day."
"Well I think she has the perfect set of role models for that, don't you nugget." Kara said as the little girl grabbed her finger.
"Oh she definitely does," Lena said wrapping and arm around your waist and leaning down to kiss you.

A Pleasant Ruse
Fandom: Supergirl
Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor, Andrea Rojas, Alex Danvers, Winn Schott
Summary: Lena runs into her ex-Andrea who wants her back. Lena panics and tells her that Kara is her girlfriend. Will Kara be willing to help Lena keep up the ruse?
Lena looked at her phone and sighed as she walked down the street. L-Corp stock was down again after Lex’s latest stunt against Superman. The Board was at each other’s throats about what to do. Normally, these things didn’t get to her, but today she just felt like curling into a little ball and hiding in the middle of nowhere.
“Sometimes I wish I could go somewhere where no one knew my name,” muttered Lena.
Normally, she would wallow in her apartment and drink the night away, but she knew she didn’t have to do that anymore, especially with Kara and her friends. She blushed when she thought of Kara. Every time she smiled, it would light up the room. She was hoping a little of that light would rub off on her today. When she called Kara an hour ago, she was happy that she was available to talk but was wondering if Lena would be able to do so at Noonan’s. She was saving seats for some of the others in their friend group. Lena would rather they be alone, but she realized that she did call Kara out of the blue without necessarily considering her current plans. Also, her curiosity was piqued. Noonan’s wasn’t normally opened passed 10 p.m. during the week. However, it was currently 10:39 p.m.
After five more minutes, she began to see the outline of Noonan’s but was surprised to see not only was the place lit up, but there were multiple cars parked down the block. As she got closer, she noticed that the place was packed. It was more crowded than the morning rush. When she got inside, Lena looked around the crowded room and smiled when she saw Kara hopping up and down waving at her from the back. She shook her head and tried to maneuver her way towards Kara.
As she got closer, she nearly stopped and blushed. Lena didn’t notice before because she could only see Kara’s face and arms when she was at the front of the restaurant, but now that she was in front of the blonde, she was surprised at what she was wearing. She had on a green short-sleeved crop top, black short shorts, and brown hiking shoes. Her hair was flowing down her back. The entire outfit highlighted Kara’s muscular form. Kara usually wore things that covered her fully. She didn’t realize that Kara had a hardcore twelve-pack abs, and toned legs and arms. She gulped when Kara hugged her tightly. She could feel the heat in her face growing. Lena had to fight to keep her arms next to her instead of caressing her abs.
“Lena, I am glad that you were able to come out!” exclaimed Kara excitedly.
“Me too,” squeaked Lena.
As they went to sit down, Kara stared at her with a frown.
“Are you ok? Your face looks a little flushed and you are panting.”
Lena tried to seem unfazed but felt like her brain was in overdrive.
She started fanning herself and shakily said, “I’m, um, fine. Yes, I am fine.”
Kara stared at her hesitantly and said, “You don’t seem so sure.”
Lena let out a nervous laugh and said, “Don’t worry. I just got winded trying to get back here. I don’t think I have ever seen this place so packed before, even during their morning rushes.”
“Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that they are having an event here tonight. You know the author Helena Bromfield?”
Lena nodded and said, “Ah, yes! She has a bunch of popular action books.”
“Yup! That is the one. Well, she is having a book reading for her latest novel: Alana and the Lost Civilization of Atlantis at midnight tonight. She will then host a Q&A followed by a book signing. That is why a lot of the people here are in costume.”
Lena looked around and felt a little foolish. She had been so focused on seeing Kara that she didn’t notice the outfits everyone was wearing. They all looked like they were out of some archeological action movie. Lena shook her head and stared back at Kara.
“I never took you as one that was into cosplaying. You look very good as Alana.”
Lena felt her face flushed again and looked down.
Good doesn’t begin to describe it. She looks sexy as hell.
Lena had to slowly breathe in and out to try to control her racing heart. Lena had secretly been a fan of Bromfield’s work. Her mother always disapproved of sci-fi and fantasy. Her thoughts were living in reality was more important than make-believe. However, the books offered her a brief escape from all the trauma of that household, mostly done by Lex. She would imagine going on an adventure with the Great Alana as she explored distant worlds and planets. She recently had been fantasizing about Kara as Alana and whisking her off on an amazing adventure. The thought caused her to blush harder.
Can’t believe I get to live out part of my fantasy!
Kara chuckled while rubbing the back of her neck and said, “Thanks! I wasn’t sure if I could pull this off.”
Lena stared at her dumbfounded.
She thinks she couldn’t pull it off! She looks ten times better than the initial character description for Alana. I am surprised that guys and girls aren’t flocking to her now!
Lena cleared her throat and said, “You pull off the look amazingly. I’m surprised the other people cosplaying as Alana don’t look at you with envy.”
Kara blushed while laughing.
“You are too kind.”
They looked at each other shyly for a moment before Lena asked, “If the book reading doesn’t start until midnight, why are people here so early?”
“Good seating. Alex made me promise to get here at 9 to save seating for her and Winn since they wouldn’t be able to get here until after 11. I got here at 10, and I had to fight people in order to get this booth since it was so packed.”
Lena chuckled which caused Kara to frown.
“What’s so funny?” pouted Kara.
“I didn’t mean to laugh. It is just that I wished I had gotten here sooner to see you try to defend your territory.”
Kara chuckled and said, “It didn’t get nearly as dramatic as that. I just gave a very stern look until they backed off.”
Lena raised an eyebrow and said coyly, “Really? A stern look?”
