PART III — she’s gonna save me, call me ‘baby’, run her hands through my hair
Wading through a misty green lake with Luke Castellan was not on your camp bucket list — something you’d produced with a young girl called Silena who you’d met in the arts and crafts cabin — but alas, here you were; knee deep in pond water and ankle deep in whatever sludge lived at the bottom, hands searching blindly along the floor while you tried your best to keep your chin dry.
You probably wouldn’t have been there if you were any good at Volleyball — which really doesn’t make much sense with the given context.
Okay, here’s what happened. It was Saturday at camp halfblood — and while you had been there for a solid three days now, you were yet to experience the joy of the weekends. Not that you knew they were any different, not until Travis Stoll approached you after breakfast.
“Heyyyy, uh...newbie.” He chuckled, sidling up beside you while you were occupied with deciding whether your camp shirt was better tucked into your shorts or left hanging over them.
You turned to the boy with an amused smile, reminding him of your name. He snapped his fingers at you, “I knew that. I did. I just prefer newbie.”
“What’s up, Travis?”
He dropped his finger guns, rocking back and forth on his feet and looking at you sheepishly, “Well, me and a few friends were gonna chuck a ball around on the beach and we need an extra player to make it even. Now that Luke’s not an option.”
He muttered that last bit low and under his breath, not in hopes that you wouldn’t hear but in hopes that Luke wouldn’t — there was no telling how far he was from you at any given moment, but he wasn’t going to tell you that, so he just put on his charming Stoll Smile and said, “So, wanna join us?”
You didn’t have anything to do that day, and since you’d assumed you were in for another long eight hours of finding out what you were good at and failing, a friendly game of ball (which you were safe to assume was volley, per what Luke told you yesterday) seemed like a great idea.
Only it wasn’t — friendly, that is. You wandered over to the net set up on the beach with Travis at your side and a taller girl with curly blonde hair narrowed her eyes at you in suspicion, “How good are you at this?”
“Uh —“ You shrugged, shaking your head slightly, “I’ve never played. We don’t have many beaches where I’m from.”
“You don’t need a beach to play volleyball, newbie.” Connor Stoll appeared out of nowhere, grinning at you, “But it’s easy to pick up. You can be on our team.”
Their team consisted of Connor, Chris, Poppy from the Demeter cabin, Evie and Evan (twins from the Ares cabin) and now, yourself. Apparently it was a lost cause whenever the Stolls were on the same team, so Travis was on the other side of the net with the blonde girl from earlier — who’s name you’d learnt was Sabine, and who’s godly parent was Nike, which did not decrease your nerves even a little bit.
“It’s pretty simple once you get the hang of it.” Evie explained to you once she noticed your unsure eyes. “Just don’t hit the ball twice in a row, Sab’s a stickler for that rule.”
“Other than that, we’re pretty lax.” Her brother tagged on, smirking at you, “This isn’t the Olympics.”
“Tell her that.” You side eyed the blonde on the other side of the net, who was cracking her knuckles and discussing strategy with Travis and Brynn, an Athena kid with a bright blue buzzcut.
The twins let out identical chuckles, sharing a look before patting your shoulders, “You’ll be fine.”
You didn’t have time to quip that the pair of them talking at the same time was a little foreboding before the game was on, and a volleyball was heading straight for you.
To be fair to you, you lasted longer than expected. Maybe it was your battle instincts kicking in, but you hadn’t missed the ball once — sure, your defence lacked any real strategy and was more you hitting the ball in whatever direction and hoping for the best, but it was working, so why complain? You wouldn’t qualify for varsity, but at least you were one upping a Stoll brother — the same couldn’t be said for most campers, you knew that much.
You actually thought you were getting pretty good, too. Your team was up by a few points (no thanks to you, all thanks to Evan. Seriously, he was like six foot four) and Sabine was getting angry. Every now and then she’d turn and scowl at Rhea, one of her teammates, and the girl would just shrug in response before returning to her position. But then, just when you started to get confident with it, Travis got you.
Hard, too. You were paying close attention to your feet, making sure you didn’t trip over any sand when you had to move, and unfortunately didn’t notice the ball coming at you until it clipped you in the face. You went down onto your ass, both hands flying to your nose and groaning when you felt a warm trickle of blood slide through your fingers and down your hands.
“Holy shit, newbie.” Travis sped over, dropping to his knees next to his brother and hovering over you, “I am so sorry, are you okay?”
Your speech was muffled and nasally when you replied with a swift, “No, asshole!”
“Shit.” He muttered, looking between Connor and Evie, “Uh, I can take you to the infirmary if you want —“
“I’ll take her.” Evan interrupted. He was crouched somewhere behind you, looking at your teammates over the top of your head. You felt his hands flatten on your back as he pushed you up to stand, the rest of the group joining him and wincing when some blood dripped onto the sand.
“It’s okay, you don’t have to —“ You held out a hand in his direction now that you could see him, only to press it firmly back against your face when your nose simply started to gush once the pressure had been removed.
“Yes,” He nodded, “I do. Let’s go.”
You let him lead you, sending an apologetic look to the remaining teens on the sand — you were pretty sure it looked nothing like an apology since your hands were covering half of your face and there was blood seeping through your fingers, but it was the effort that counted.
You didn’t receive as many looks as you thought you would’ve on the walk to the infirmary, although you assumed demigods had gotten worse injuries than a nosebleed before, so it wasn’t exactly odd. When you got there, you stopped on the porch and tried to speak to Evan as best you could without letting any more blood spill.
“You can — you can go.” You said through your hands, “I got it from here.”
He looked a little unsure, but you nodded firmly and he turned back the way he came. It was pretty embarrassing, walking into the infirmary with a bloody nose on your third day at camp, but the Apollo kid who took care of you said it was only a matter of time before you shed first blood, and that you’d better thank the gods it was a volleyball and not a hellhound that did the damage.
They stopped the bleeding with some sort of special gauze and told you to be a little more careful before sending you on your way — which was when you found Luke.
You didn’t even see him at first, more focused on folding the gauze you’d been given into a perfect square while you stepped off the wooden porch. But then a voice muttered your name in slight shock and confusion, and you looked up to meet those baby brown eyes you couldn’t help but love.
You grinned, “JoJo.”
Luke shook his head, “What were you doing in the infirmary?” His eyes tracked all over you, assessing for any visible injuries. When he found none, he turned his questioning gaze back to your face.
You sucked in some air through your teeth, embarrassed, “I, uh, got hit in the face with a volleyball. Turns out, I’m awful at it.” You let out a weak chuckle, and Luke rolled his eyes in amusement.
“Of course. I thought baseball was your thing?”
“It is.” You nodded, “But there’s nobody out here to play with, so…” Then an idea sprung, and your face lit up so visibly that Luke took a tentative step back, “Hey, why don’t you come watch? We’re playing on the beach.”
“Oh.” The boy paused, eyes sliding to the beach and back to you, “I don’t think so…I, uh, tend to spend my weekends alone.”
“You spend your everything alone.” You pointed out with a raised pair of brows. He pursed his lips. You sighed, “Come on. You don’t have to play.”
He looked as if he was thinking about it, and your hopes were raised a little. You liked Luke, you wanted to know him better and one day consider him a friend rather than a guy you harassed every day. But you were very aware of his aversion for all things social — the comment Travis made about Luke not playing with them anymore saddened you, and it pained you to imagine Luke all alone while his brothers and friends still had fun around him. But then his face dropped, and so did yours, Luke shaking his head no.
“I just…” He shrugged, “I don’t really…”
“It’s okay.” You interrupted before he could spout out his excuse. He didn’t need one. “We can do something else.”
“Oh, I —“ Another shake of the head, “You go back to them, don’t let me ruin it.”
“You aren’t ruining anything.” You said plainly, and you thought that those four words hit Luke a lot harder than expected, because he had this pensive look on his face that didn’t fade until you spoke again, “Listen, I know baseball isn’t exactly a camp sport, but I’ve got a ball. This place has gotta have bats — I mean, if it’s got swords, it’s got bats, right? So we grab them, we go off somewhere and take turns batting. I need to stay in practice anyway, if I’m gonna make varsity.”
You sent him your shiniest smile paired with some doughy eyes, and after squinting at you for a solid ten seconds, Luke agreed to your idea with a hesitant nod. You weren’t exactly expecting him to jump up and down in joy, so you took the liberty of doing that before asking him, very enthusiastically (because if you stayed positive, maybe it would rub off on him), to go look for a bat while you grabbed your ball.
Chris caught you exiting the Hermes cabin while he was filling up his water bottle using the outdoor tap not far from the porch, asking you what you were doing with a baseball. You explained that volleyball was definitely not your thing and ignored his chuckle of agreement in favour of informing him that you would be teaching Luke how to become the next Babe Ruth. He raised a brow.
“Really?”
“Uh, yeah.” You replied, a little put off by his reaction. “Is that a problem?”
“No, no.” He backtracked quickly, hands raised and water sloshing around his bottle as the movement, “I just…I dunno. Luke’s been a little off recently. If I were you, I wouldn’t meddle in it.”
“Meddle?” You asked, shaking your head, “In what?”
“In his…” He puffed out his cheeks, trying to find the words, “His funk.” He shook his head then, eyes glossing over as he thought about it, “He failed his quest, he’s a little butthurt, but…he’ll get over it. Y’know?”
You didn’t know.
“I just don’t think he needs babysitting.” He firmed, looking confident in his wording now that he’d found it, “He’s just gonna talk your ear off about how much he hates his life until you’re borderline suicidal. I wouldn’t bother, personally. He's a big boy, he can get over it.”
You rolled your lips over each other, staring blankly at Chris as he sent you a polite smile and walked back to the beach. Slowly, your eyes narrowed, and your brows pulled together. But you didn't say anything, you just turned around yourself and walked to where you’d asked Luke to meet you.
He was tossing the bat between his hands when you got there, dropping it in his left when he spotted you and nodding, “Alright, where are we doing this?”
You stopped, snapped out of a stupor you didn’t even realise you were in and blinking at him. For the first time since you’d met, it seemed that he was more focused and lively than you were. It irked him a little bit, and he frowned, “Sunny?”
“Sorry.” You responded immediately, shaking your head to rid yourself of your spiralling thoughts, “I just…uh, let’s go somewhere clear. We don’t wanna hit anyone with the ball.”
Luke led you to a clearing in the woods, explaining that the wood nymphs would be able to help you if the ball got lost in the foliage, so there was no need to hold back the arm you’d been bragging about for the entire walk. You just smirked, raised the bat level, and nodded at him to serve.
Yes, you were a thousand percent better at baseball than you were at volleyball. You knew that, of course, but it was nice to be reassured. Luke wasn’t half bad either, but you were also a really good runner, so you kept having to remind him that an average level fielder wouldn’t have a chance against his bats — you just so happened to be way above average.
Plus the wood nymphs were very helpful — apparently they didn’t get to watch many demigod activities other than capture the flag so it was refreshing for them to see you two play, and to actually be able to help.
All in all, you were having a great time. Which of course meant that you were long overdue for something going wrong. Of course.
“I can’t find it.”
“What?” You asked breathlessly, staring at the tree nymph who shrugged at you plainly.
“It rolled into a pond, I think.” He sniffed indignantly, “And I am not climbing into a pond.”
“Oh, and you expect us to?”
And that, kids, is how you ended up knee deep in pond water and ankle deep in something else — with Luke Castellan right by your side.
“This is so gross.” You whispered, grimacing as your hands ran over the murky bottom. You couldn’t see anything but your own reflection when you looked in, so you were replying on touch alone to help find your ball. “I can’t believe this. My lucky ball and it falls into a pond! Not so lucky anymore, huh? Yeah, lucky my ass.”
“Hey, Sunny?” A slosh of water rippled over you and you had to straighten up to avoid the tiny waves splashing in your face. They only increased at your movements, but you were too busy glaring at Luke to notice. He pressed his mouth together, holding in a chuckle, “You’re not being very sunny right now.”
You huffed, flinging your arms out at your sides and wincing when you splashed water on yourself by doing so, “I —“ A huff, “I don’t feel very sunny, Castellan. I am wading in sludge.”
He actually had the audacity to let a tiny grin slip through, “Wow, the last name? You’re acting like me right now. It’s weird.”
“I can’t believe this.” You repeated, narrowing your eyes at the boy, “I’ve been trying to cheer you up since the day I met you and when you finally do, it’s because you’re relishing in my pain? Fuck you.”
As if he was trying to piss you off, Luke laughed. He actually laughed, exactly like he had yesterday and if you weren’t so annoyed you’d be smiling at him for it. But you were annoyed, so all you did in response was send a wave of pond water at him and drench his front.
He stopped laughing. You started laughing.
“Okay, is that how you wanna play this?” He asked, stepping closer, “Is it?”
You grinned, stepping back. The water moved when you did, and the paired struggle of your’s and Luke’s legs under the water just increased the waves that oscillated around your knees. It slid up to your thighs and threatened to wet the denim of your shorts, but you were too busy prying your foot out of whatever the hell lived at the bottom of the pond so you could escape Luke’s wrath.
You shook your head, “You don’t wanna do this.”
He nodded mockingly, “I think I do.”
Then it was on. He lunged for you, and you dived to the left in a swift attempt to get around him. Water was splashing everywhere at this point but neither of you cared — especially when Luke’s hands were mere inches from your arms, waiting for your ankle to snag on some algae and pull you back so he could push you over. You were smarter than that though, so you did a swift one-eighty, dragging your hands under the water with you as you did — the wave that accumulated from the momentum doused Luke from head to toe, his curls sticking to his forehead. He wiped them away and blew hard from his mouth before forming a weak glare in your direction.
Your jaw trembled as you held in what you knew would be some serious chortles — but it was silent. The only noise apparent was the settling of the waves now that you had both stopped moving and Luke’s heavy breathing in front of you. He shook his head, stepping forward slowly, and you braced yourself for what was about to come.
“Hey!”
You paused. You shared a look with Luke before looking confusedly at the form that had appeared suddenly between the two of you. It was a girl by the looks of it, only she was made entirely of the water the two of you were standing in. She glared between the pair of you, hands on her hips.
“I don’t appreciate all this splashing.” You felt suddenly like you were being berated by a school teacher for talking too loud during class, “Are you trying to drain my pond? Are you?”
“N—No.” You responded, shaking your head, “We were just looking for — ”
The water nymph held up your ball with a stern expression, “This? Yeah, it looked like you were.”
Her sarcasm was not lost on you, and you tried your best not to meet Luke’s eyes, knowing they would fail you the second you did. Instead you looked at the nymph before you and took the ball from her outstretched hand, “Thank you. And, um, sorry…about the splashing.”
She folded her arms, lifting her head and straightening her shoulders, “That’s okay. Now get out.”
You were both quick to exit the water, although not too quick that you made anymore of it splash onto the rocks. Once you were out, the nymph nodded in satisfaction and melted back into the pond, and you and Luke were finally able to breathe. Then, you both burst into laughter.
“Oh my gods.” You huffed, shaking your head and looking down at yourself, “Did we just get into trouble?”
“With a water nymph?” He finished, shrugging off his wet shirt and wringing it out, “Yeah. How embarrassing.”
Your mouth was suddenly very dry. You knew Luke was strong — he had to be to fight a dragon and come back alive. To be known as the Best Swordsman in Camp. To be trusted by so many campers despite his newfound, distanced demeanour. But damn.
You blew out a long puff of air, hoping your reddened cheeks could be excused as some light sunburn. You weren’t as soaked as he was, but you still wafted your damp shirt from your body in hopes that it would dry — and also to give yourself something to do that wasn’t ogling at Luke’s lean figure.
He spread his shirt out on a rock, ensuring the sun was hitting it right before lowering himself to the ground on the dry grass a few feet away. He leant back on his hands, face to the sky, and revelled in the warmth. You stayed standing, fiddling with the button on your shorts, staring at him. At the scar on his face, at the rest of them along his chest.
He cracked one eye open, glancing at you, “What?”
“I, uh.” You licked your lips, “Nothing. Nothing.” You muttered, taking a seat beside him and crossing your legs. Your gaze stuck firmly to your lap and you waited for his to return to the sky. It didn’t.
“You can ask me.” He said then, shrugging.
“What happened on your quest?” You let slip, and when he stayed silent for a second too long, you realised that maybe that wasn't the question he was giving you permission to ask. “I’m sorry. I know it’s none of my business, it’s nobody’s really. But Chris told me before that you’re in a funk and that seemed like a gross understatement but then again I’ve known you for, what, three days? He’s known you for years, so surely he’s right. But you just seem like it’s more than a funk, and I don’t know what to believe because I don’t know what happened but I also don’t want to ask because it’s none of my business and it’s also very clearly a sore subject because of what happened with Dean. Not that I think you’re gonna fly off the handle or anything, but it’s definitely a touchy subject and I can’t just go demanding all the details just because I wanna be your friend and— ”
A hand over your mouth stopped you from continuing what Luke was sure to be a very long tangent. He looked at you, half in shock, half in amusement, and huffed out a laugh, “Sunny, you need to calm down.”
You couldn’t respond, but you did nod. He removed his hand slowly and you swallowed your embarrassment. Luke sat up fully, straightening his back and clearing his throat, “Uh, okay. Have you heard of that Hercules story? With the golden apples?”
You nodded, afraid to speak in case you went off on a rant again. He nodded with you, “Yeah, well, my father sent me on that. The exact same quest…except I failed.”
That explained the scar, and the dragon story he’d mentioned very briefly yesterday. He started to go into a little more detail about his quest — and suddenly you were overcome with this…angry sort of sadness.
Hermes sent Luke on a quest that had already been done. After hearing Clarisse yap your ear off about Kleos, you understood why he’d been a little bummed. Honestly, if it were you, you wouldn’t have even gone. What’s the point in doing a quest that’s already been done? But you didn’t say that to Luke, who seemed a little deep into his story. You just simmered in your irritation while he continued to explain his battle with Ladon, and his ultimate failure.
“I refused to leave the infirmary for a week.” He chuckled, but it was a little sad. “I mean, I’m supposed to be a leader here, and I fail my first quest? Some demigod I turned out to be.”
Without even thinking, you shook your head, “You didn’t fail.” Luke looked at you, confused, “You battled a dragon with a hundred heads and lived. That doesn’t sound like failure to me.”
“But I didn’t get the apples.” He explained. “I disappointed my father.”
“Your father…” You said slowly, unsure of how your next words would land, “Who I’m going to assume had never spoken to you until the day he gave you your quest?” Luke nodded after a brief pause and you took that as permission to continue, “So who cares if he’s disappointed? He clearly doesn’t care if you’re mauled by a dragon.”
“Exactly.” Luke replied, brows pulled together in the way they had been when you’d first met. Angry, irritated. Disappointed. “Everyone keeps telling me to get over it. That demigods have failed quests before and it just means I need to try harder next time but…why should there be a next time? Really, if you sit and think about it for a second, why are we even here? To train, so we don’t die whenever monsters come and attack us? And who’s fault is that? Maybe if our parents were good people, there wouldn’t be any monsters trying to murder their kids. If they cared, even a little bit, they’d do more than just claim us and leave us to die!”
He scoffed, looking in the direction where you knew the rest of the campers resided — playing games, building weapons, dedicating every waking hour to becoming the best of the best. And for what? For glory? For a pat on the back from a parent who can’t even be bothered to raise them?
“They don’t get it.” He said then, turning back to you, “They think this is all okay. They’re too invested to realise that they’re just being used. They’re so focused on getting a shred of recognition from the gods that they don’t understand that it’s never gonna come.”
“So…” You finally spoke, your first words in a minute, “What do we do?”
Luke shrugged then, “I don’t know yet.”
It was silent for a long time after that. Luke stayed staring at the floor and you led back to stare at the sky. He was right, wasn’t he? Sure, you’d only been in this for a little while, but you weren’t stupid. You knew the gods didn’t care — you’d figured out that much when you got to camp. A dumping ground for demigods. Demigod daycare, except mommy isn’t coming to pick you up at three o’clock. Luke deserved to be angry, he deserved to mope — they all did.
But they wouldn’t. You could sit there and curse the gods for hours on end, but that was still half of you. And that, you thought, was probably the worst part of it all.
You were so caught up in your feelings that when the tree that had been shading you phased into a nymph and walked away, you jumped halfway out of your skin, “Jeezum crow.”
You looked at Luke, expecting him to either share the same dumbfounded look on his face or be laughing at you — something he seemed to be doing a lot of today — but instead he was staring at you, slack-jawed and wide eyed. You blinked, “What?”
“You’re from Vermont.”
Your mouth snapped shut, and his expanded into the grin you’d been hassling him for since you’d set your sights on him. You sighed, “Fuck.”
He let out a disbelieving laugh, “You’re from Vermont! Holy shit. I should’ve known it when you called me a flatlander.” He threw his head back, and you shook yours at his dramatics. But he didn’t care, he just pointed at you, “You’re a fuckin’ woodchuck!”
“Oh my gods.” You groaned into your hands, pulling yourself to your feet in hopes of escaping his sudden glee. “Is that so bad?”
“No.” He laughed, following you, “I’m just amazed that I figured it out. I’m a genius!”
“Okay.” You sent him a blank look, but it only lasted a few seconds before your tiny smile was fighting through, “It’s not like you’ve discovered the meaning of life. Calm down.”
“Never.” He shook his head, “This is my greatest achievement.”
“You fought a dragon.”
“Screw the dragon!” He gripped your biceps, grinning at you, “You’re from Vermont!”
“You’re not funny.”
“And yet you’re laughing.”
“I am not.”
“You are.”
“I’m not!”
____________
“What’d you do to him?”
You threw a piece of salmon into the fire, glancing at Chris, “I’m getting deja vu. Haven’t you asked me this already?”
“Yeah, but…” The boy looked behind him, back at the Hermes table, where Luke was perched on the end and waiting patiently for you to come back from the hearth before digging into his food, “This time I mean it. I mean, he still isn’t talking to us, but he’s sitting on our side of the table again. You can be honest with me…” He sent you a grave look, “Did you give him a BJ?”
“What? No!” You threw a pea at him. “I just listened to him.” You tried to be a little serious, but clearly Chris wasn’t getting the hint, so you relented, “And doused him in pond water.”
He laughed at that, nodding proudly. You turned back to the fire, asking Aphrodite to get rid of your split ends. You’d given up on praying to your father, deciding to go through every Olympian until one of them answered. So far, only Hera had responded — you assumed so, anyway, when a cuckoo woke you up from your afternoon nap. That wasn’t very helpful, but at least it was an answer. You didn’t suspect campers prayed to her often, so she probably appreciated the sentiment.
“So…” Travis smirked, wiggling his eyebrows at you once you sat down. He sent this look around the group, but even Connor gave him a weirded out look in response. He huffed, “It’s team day tomorrow.”
A collective ohhh seemed to hum around the group, but you were still confused. You sent a questioning look to Luke who said, “For Capture the Flag. Tomorrow is when all the cabin counsellors gang up and decide on the two teams.”
“Then we have five days to strategise.” Travis continued on very dramatically, hands splayed on the table, “And on Friday…we battle.”
That seemed to lift the energy up a bit, the people around you sharing mischievous looks. They started to discuss amongst them who would be the best cabin to ally with, Lana turning to Chris, “Who are you gonna pick?”
Chris went to speak, but paused. He seemed to think about something, looking slightly scared but still turning to the boy across from him anyway, “I thought maybe…Luke would like to reinstate himself as team captain this month.”
Right, you’d completely forgotten. During your spear lessons with Clarisse, you’d asked her why it was so important that you be amazing at fighting quickly if monsters couldn’t get into camp. She’d then explained the whole situation that was Capture the Flag — how it was a bigger deal than the super bowl around here — before briefly mentioning that Luke had always been Hermes team captain, but stepped down for the last game because his scar was still healing from his quest. Chris had taken over for him, and based off of the looks the people around you were sporting, you assumed they weren’t expecting him to give up his title so quickly.
You couldn’t blame them. Luke hadn’t exactly expressed much desire to captain this time — he hasn’t expressed much desire for anything these days apparently. You were all waiting for him to let Chris down easy, but instead he looked up from his plate with an indifferent nod and said, “Yeah, sure.”
Nobody said anything. Except Chris who, when Luke stood to rack up his empty plate, looked at you gravely and asked, “Was it a handjob?”

Ducky Turn! | Vivianne Miedema x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You watched as Viv walked into the press conference room, trailing slightly behind Jonas. She was chatting animatedly to Connie, one of the Arsenal staff, and holding a reusable coffee tumbler in one hand. You also know that inside that tumbler is Viv’s favourite coffee "Morning Bliss," a small-batch, artisanal coffee roaster that you had bought from one of the local coffee shops in your area. She would sometimes bring a small bag of coffee beans to training or match days, and when you would ask her where she’ll find supplies to make the coffee, she’ll reply back with a“if there’s a will, there’s a way”. It’s become the only brand of coffee that Viv drinks.
Every morning, Viv likes to indulge herself in what she calls her “ritual”. The dutch begins her ritual by carefully measuring out the perfect amount of Morning Bliss beans. She prefers a medium roast, with notes of caramel and toasted almonds that allow the perfect balance of sweet to the bitter. She would grind the beans to perfection and then use the fancy sleek, stainless steel drip coffee maker that she had treated herself to a few months ago. As she waits for the brewing to complete, she would bask in the stillness and the quiet that is a rarity these days– or at least during the last 3 years.
Viv would then pour herself a cup, inhaling deeply as the steam rises and the aroma fills the empty kitchen. As she takes that first sip of her perfectly brewed coffee, Viv could not help but smile. For her, starting the day than with a cup of her favourite coffee is the second best thing to start the day. The first is–
She hears the pitter patter of little feet before she sees her.
“Mama!”
Evelyn, or Evie for short, is the best parts of you and Viv. Everyone says Evelyn is a spitting image of Viv—from the blonde curls that tumble down her back in unruly waves, to her vibrant hazel eyes, flecked with hints of green and gold. Evelyn has your nose, petite and slightly upturned, and dotted with the same freckles across her cheeks that Viv loves to kiss every night before bed.
You say it’s too early to tell what kind of person your daughter will grow up to be, but Viv swears she’s your mini me. Viv says you’ve both got the same stubbornness (although you would argue Viv is also a contender), the same outgoing personality, and the same sheer curiosity for the world around her. Like you, your little girl is always eager to explore new places and try new things. Whether it's taking the dogs out on new hiking trails, or embarking on a family camping trip, her adventurous spirit knows no bounds.
During her ballet class, Evelyn loves to wear colourful ribbons and bows in her hair. She keeps the same ribbons in her hair during football practice too. When she laughs, her nose crinkles up in the most adorable way, just like Viv. She loves to burst into a song or hum the tune of her favourite music, just like you do. She is your pride and joy, and your greatest accomplishment in life.
But she is also a whirlwind of energy that leaves a trail of chaos and laughter in her wake wherever she goes.
Viv recognises that gleam in Evie’s eyes and the furrow in her eyebrows as she glances at the last two steps leading to the kitchen.
Her daughter was going to jump.
Viv hastily puts her cup down and lurches forward, catching the tornado that is her child. There is not a day that goes by where Viv does not thank her athleticism for being able to keep up with her little daredevil.
She grasps her fearless little girl under her arms just before she can land the short distance to the ground. “Mama, Ducky jump!”
“I saw that, Ducky” She settles Evelyn on her hip, pressing a few kisses to her rosy cheek still warm from sleep. “But I’d rather not see that again. How many times have I told you you can’t jump from there”
“But I jump, Mama. Like a duck jumping in water!” Ducks are the little girl’s latest fixation– she loves going to the pond to watch the ducks, she loves to talk about ducks, she loves her duck stuffed animals etc. Viv thinks your daughter’s fascination with ducks was inevitable. When Evelyn was born, she was sweetly bundled in a light yellow blanket with a matching yellow beanie to warm her little head. Your private midwife briefly commented about how Evelyn little lips were constantly pursed in a pout whenever she slept, like that of a little duckling. Ever since then, “Ducky” became one of her nicknames.
Evelyn points one little chubby finger towards the kitchen counter where a plate of bite-sized waffles await her.
“Waffles!”
Viv snags the plate of waffles off the counter and deposits her duck-obsessed child into her booster chair. She hands her a fork and takes a seat on the chair right beside her. “Waffles yellow– like duckies, Mama!”
Viv smiles endearingly at her daughter, all cherubic face and bouncy curls. “Just like duckies, Evie”
——————————
Now at the press conference, you watch as Viv and Jonas take their seats in front of the press, politely saying a few greetings to some familiar faces. Viv’s eyes meet yours briefly and she offers you a quick wink.
Jonas leans forward in his seat and starts the press. “Hello, everyone. Let’s get this started then– I’ve got Vivianne Miedema with me today”
Being married to a footballer had it’s perks– free match tickets, the cool events, club merchandise, and the occasional Adidas billboards of your wife which your daughter loves to excitedly point out every time she spots one. However, sometimes it seems not everyone understands the difference between the Viv, the mum and wife, versus Vivianne Miedema, the footballer.
“Everyone” being your toddler.
She still hasn’t fully grasped the fact that her Mama can’t be on her beck and call, especially while she is at work. At the age of 3, she can’t tell the difference between the football that she plays at school and the football that her Mama plays. To her, it’s exactly the same.
After all, during her football practice if she looks to the sidelines where the other mummies and daddies are watching and yells for her Mama, her Mama will come running. In Evie’s mind, if she wants Mama, she’ll go to Mama.
You glance down at the little girl tucked in your arms. She was all buzz and energy throughout the match, crawling from lap to lap, jumping, dancing and shouting. It was no surprise that she was starting to doze off now. You were standing off to one side of the room, leaning against the wall to support the weight resting on your front. Evie was curled up in your arms, her eyes tiredly blinking open and closed a few times. Her tiny body was limp in your arms, her breath was evening out, and just like when she first came into this world, her little rosy lips were formed into a pout.
Just like a little duckling.
But despite your soft whispers to try to and lull her to sleep, your stubborn child was determined to fight the pull of slumber. You knew she wanted to see her Mama, just as she always did after a match. It was their routine, and Evie hated breaking routines.
“First question for Jonas…” You tune out the press for a brief moment, reaching out to adjust the yellow noise cancelling headphones that were slipping off of Evelyn’s head when all of a sudden she opens her eyes and sits up in your arms. You didn’t have to guess what had woken up your child when you hear it. “– now a question for Viv Miedema…”
What was once a sleepy and tired toddler is now gone. In it’s place is a little girl who has realised her favourite person is in the room. Her eyes were now bright and alert, craning her neck to follow the sound of her mama’s voice booming from the speakers around the room.
“…don't really think I celebrate goals but all the girls came up to me and they were taking the mick out of me because they were like 'You were actually celebrating’–“
You should’ve anticipated it. You should’ve know it. But by then it was too late.
“Mama!”
Your daughter yells for Viv, lurching forward with her arms open and fingers pointing towards where Viv was sitting at the front of the room. You had no choice but to crouch down so you could stead your suddenly wiggly child.
“Ducky, that’s enough” You speak in a hushed but firm tone. You knew that if you were to use your “Mummy voice” it would likely result in tears, and your daughter was not a quiet crier. “Mama is working right now”
But Evie was very determined to get to her mama, hastily trying to tug away from your hold on her arm. You knew heads were turning towards the both of you.
“Want Mama!”
“Evelyn–“ You try to hug her, wanting to pick her up and run out of the room before she causes anymore distractions. Right now she was the epitome of an incoming toddler tantrum. Her chest heaved with each shaky breath, her small shoulders rising and falling with the weight of her emotions. Her cheeks flushed pink with frustration, and her fists clenched at her sides.
“No no no no!” Her favourite word as of late and she was proudly demonstrating that she knew just how to use it. "No NO!"
Her big, doe-like eyes were glistening with unshed tears. Her bottom lip quivered as she stood cocooned in your arms, but furiously squirming away from your hold. In your daughter’s mind, being told that she can’t go to her Mama right now was the most devastating thing in the world, and the injustice of it all was threatening to overwhelm her.
“–Liefje”
You look up as the sound of your wife’s voice and the familiar nickname echos around the room through the microphone. You crane your neck and you spot her now standing up from her chair, holding the mic to her mouth. She gives you a knowing smile. Viv always knows what to do.
“I’ll take her, Liefje. Give her to me” Viv waves a hand, beckoning you both closer.
You pick up your still teary, pouty daughter and hoist her up to your hip. You walk the short distance towards the front of the room where Viv and Jonas are waiting.
“Looks like Mama wants you, ducky” You murmur softly in Evie’s ear, pushing the curls of hair away from her eyes. Like a switch, your daughter perks up in your arms, twisting her head towards where you were heading. You could feel her little legs kicking the air in excitement. What a mood switch.
You stop by the side of the small stage, placing Evie on her feet and quickly grab her hairband that was in your pocket. “Wait one second, Ducky. Let’s fix your hair.” There were cameras around and you would imagine that 10 years from now, your daughter will never forgive you if you let her stand in front of the cameras with a bird nest on top of her head.
The hairband dangled from your fingers as you attempted to tame Evie’s unruly locks into a neat ponytail. But your daughter was having none of it. She wriggled, clearly eager to get to her Mama, as she batted your hands away.
And like always, Viv knew just what to do to keep your daughter from fussing. Temporarily. “Hi Ducky”
“Mama!” Chuckles round the room when mother and daughter exchanged waves of greetings to each other as if they hadn’t seen each other for days when in reality it had only been a few hours.
You sighed, a hint of amusement twinkling in your eyes as you gently combed through Evie’s hair with your fingers. “Almost done" you coaxed, your voice gentle and patient as you worked to wrangle your little girl’s wayward curls. You settled on just pushing the front pieces of hair away from her eyes with the hairband. “All done. Now you can go to Mama”
Evie did not need to be told twice.
Her little legs pumped furiously and her curly hair bounced behind her. She ran around the table, past Jonas’ chair, to where Viv was standing waiting for her. Viv swings her daughter up to her hip and you watch as Viv leans close to whisper by her ear– most likely prompting Evie to greet the journalists and cameras. Your suspicions were confirmed when your little social butterfly happily waves a hand and bellows a little “hello!”
Your smile widens when her greeting is echoed by all the journalists, some waving back just as eagerly as your toddler.
Viv then proceeds to sit back down, placing Evie on her lap. Your wife adjusts her chair and shuffles closer to the mic. “Sorry for that everyone…”
She gestures to the toddler who is currently conspiring with the Arsenal manager. “This one is going through a phase where I am her favourite person, and I’m making the most of it until she realises her Mummy is more fun than me”
Laughter rings around the room, but all you give the grinning dutch at the table is an eye roll. You know Evie loves you, but her bond with Viv was something special. Evelyn is Viv’s little shadow.
One of the journalists kindly gestures for you to take the seat next to him in front row of the table and you thank him as you take a seat.
“Right then. Let’s continue…” Jonas starts the press again, and this time, your toddler is happily sitting on her Mama’s lap.
———————————-
So far the press is continuing on as normal. Journalists are prepared with questions for Viv and Jonas. “My question is for Viv.” You crane your neck to see a journalists a few rows behind you hold a hand up. “You have broken countless records in England. Arsenal literally put you on a pedestal with a temporary statue outside the Emirates Stadium, a first for a female player. Do things like that matter?” Viv leans forward towards the mic. “No not at all. I’ve already had five great years but I indicated to the club that we have to do better. Other players have done that too. Hopefully the club can bring in some reinforcements this summer–
“AH!” Evie leans up, her little head nearly clashing into her Mama’s chin if it weren’t for Viv’s reflexes, and speaks directly into the mic. She giggles when it echos back.
You wince as the mic feedback rings loudly in the room.
“–Ducky, this mic is not for you. Mama’s trying to answer the question” Viv whispers but it obviously gets caught by the microphone and broadcasted to the entire room. You press your lips together to conceal your giggle as you watch your wife attempt to coax your daughter into letting go of the mic stand. Unfortunately, it seems your daughter is very fixated on the microphone because she tries to grab for it again.
But Viv is faster. She hauls Evie off her lap for a second, turning her around so she is facing Viv and not the mic.
“Ducky turn!” Your daughter whines loudly. She is clearly displeased at being turned away from her new toy. She pouts, twisting her body back around, and points at the mic. “Ducky turn! Ducky turn!”
You never though you would say this, but maybe there are consequences in teaching your daughter how to share and take turns.
And your wife seems to think the same. “Well…at least you all have proof that we are teaching her how to take turns properly” She chuckles endearingly at the pouty toddler on her lap.
“Okay” Viv relents with a sigh. “Ducky gets a turn.” She lifts Evie and turns her back around so she is facing the rest of the room, the press, and her shiny new toy– the black microphone.
You shake your head as you watch your wife visibly soften. Evie has Viv wrapped around her little finger from the day she was born. Viv is almost always unable to deny her daughter anything, even if she claims to be the more stricter parent out of the two of you.
“Since it’s Ducky’s turn, why don’t you have a go at answering the questions then?” Viv pulls the chair closer towards the table so Evie can reach the mic more comfortably. She directs the question to everyone in the room, clearly giving the reporters permission to ask Evie some questions.
Not a second later, a few hands are up in the air. You smile at the sight of these very professional reporters taking the time to entertain your daughter’s antics, no matter how silly they may be.
Jonas playfully gasps and leans into his mic. “Wow Evie, look at that! So many people want to ask you questions”
“What do you think, ducky?” Viv asks the grinning toddler in her lap. “Which question shall we take?”
Your daughter cutely scrunches her face in concentration, one chubby little finger tapping her lips as if she was contemplating the secrets of the universe. You watch as she scans her choices of eager hands, and then points to a man sitting by the front row. You watch as Evie lean up to whisper something to her Mama and then turns back around with a shy smile.
“Evie will take a question from the man in the front row with the yellow tie” Of course, it’s the yellow tie. Anything yellow is guaranteed to win your daughter over.
“Hello Miss Evelyn. My question for you is: what did you think of your Mum scoring two goals today?”
You watch as Viv pulls the mic closer towards Evie, giving her a nod of support when your daughter turns to her for encouragement.
“Uh…” You cringe internally as your daughter presses her mouth as close to the mic as possible, practically gnawing on it, and the sound is magnified by the speakers. The press seem to take it to stride, a few coos of encouragement sounding around the room. “…I like duckies”
“Oh! That’s nice” Bless the journalist. You doubt that bit would make it to the final draft of the article. “Ducks are quite nice, aren’t they?”
Your daughter nods and hums into the mic, wriggling from her spot on your wife’s lap, clearly eager to talk more about her favourite subject. “Duckies yellow!”
You watch as the journalists couldn't help but be charmed by Evelyn’s enthusiasm, their professional demeanour melting away as they listened to your spirited little girl. Some even leaned in closer, eager to catch every word she says, the cameras capturing the moment.
“Ducks are yellow, clever girl! But let Mama have a turn now, please” You try to stifle your laughter behind your hand as Viv has to practically wrestle the mic away from Evie, grabbing both of her little hands in one of hers to settle the mischievous toddler.
———————————————
Viv was more than happy to continue the rest of the press with her daughter in her lap, even if she has to routinely stop and grab a little hand as it beelines for the microphone. Viv lets Evie babble into the microphone a more few times and she couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride in her heart. She may be a footballer on the pitch, but her greatest joy was sitting right here in her lap, eager to share in her world, one stolen microphone at a time.
“Do you want to say anything to Mummy?” Viv points you out for your daughter to see. It was already nearing the end of the press conference. "Anything to say to Mummy before we finish?”
Your daughter thinks for a moment, her face titling to the side and her nose adorably scrunching up in concentration. Thinking about what to say to your Mummy is a very big task for a 3 year old. The room goes silent as everyone waits with baited breath.
“…I- I love you, Mummy”

Hey, my loves!
It's been while since I posted and that's mainly due to life getting in the way + not being inspired to write. By some miracle, I somehow managed to finish writing this short little fic (featuring a different player this time– surprise!). This was inspired by seeing that cute video of Alex Morgan and her daughter doing post-match interviews lol
hopefully this will only motivate me to keep on writing.
I appreciate all of you, thanks for being patient

A little baby blurb for you all <3
______________
Emmeline had a tight grip on your hips as you swayed her exhilarated figure across your chest. You had finally gotten out of the house, a Spiderman backpack adorned by your side, and your daughter babbling on about the day the two of you were about to have.
Despite popular belief, being a single parent was the greatest gift you had ever received. You had Emmeline just shy of three years ago, and she quickly became your best friend through everything. Your daughter was a spitting image of you, but the contributions of your past partner still took over her brown, beady eyes, and gorgeous skin.
Emmeline was shy. She was personal and dainty, and only said what she could in phrases of mumbles to people she wanted close to. In many ways, she was a ray of sunshine, willing to stand out and be bold with friends and family. But she was your baby, your darling girl since you had found out you were pregnant, and she was your biggest priority no matter what.
When you first met Niamh, Emme was the one to tell you that the two of you were meant to be.
The English woman was patient and willing, even when she first found out you had a child to love and care for over her. If anything, she found you all the more endearing. Niamh would take her out for cafe dates, and walk her to and from preschool on the way to training. Emmeline would rant on and on about how Niamh would give her the best tickles, and when your baby was near, Niamh was always not far behind.
Your daughter undoubtedly looked up to the footballer. The first Chelsea game you attended was in the general admission seating, amongst the bustle of enriched fans and excitement radiating through cheers and screams. Niamh spotted the two of you in the crowd, offering you a nimble, modest wave, resulting in Emme giggling into your neck and pointing to the woman, rambling on about how she “wanted to be smart like Mummy but fast like ‘evie.”
Emme had trouble properly pronouncing her words. ‘Niamh’ was proven to be among the difficulties she endured, and all her little mouth could muster was ‘evie.’ It was short, and abbreviated, but full of love and adoration all the same.
After a few more games, watching the girl you were quickly falling for, people began to piece together the subtle clues of your relationship with the Chelsea player.
It all started with a fan taking a photo with Niamh after a game, and you were in the passenger seat, casually looking down at your phone oblivious to the photo being taken. At first, people brushed it off as you being a friend. But then, two weeks later, the same thing happened, but with Emmeline nuzzled underneath Niamh’s puffer jacket, her curly brown hair and reddened cheeks poking out from her collar.
Fans were reeling to piece together who this child was, and why you were all of a sudden showing up to games. The funny thing was that the two of you hadn’t even started dating yet. It was when Emmeline started asking when her Evie would move in, and whether she would ever stay to read her a bedtime story before going back to her place.
It was from there when you spent your weekends covered in a blue jersey with your girlfriend’s last name across your shoulders, forever wrapped around her finger with the warmth of your love and your daughter’s affection.
“Mummy— mummy! Will Auntie Guro be there?” Emmeline was wiping her nose on her sleeve, cradling the soft plushy toy in her arms as you held her closely to your chest. “Auntie Guro, I need to tell her.”
The walk through Chelsea’s facilities were long to say the least. The buildings seemed to prolong for miles, and you knew that if the baby in your arms was to be walking, she wouldn't be in the same, happy mood as she was now. “I'm not sure, Emme baby. Why, what do you want to tell her?”
“Talk about something, Mummy. Haven't seen Auntie in ages.” She dragged out, looking around the corridors in search of anyone she knew. “Will we be able to see Aggie as well? I wanna talk to her too, Mummy, please.”
“They might be busy with the cameras, darling girl.” You answered, finally hearing the familiar laughter of the team.
Today was media day, meaning spouses were allowed to roam the grounds at their own discretion. Emme was feeling good when she found out that she was coming to Niamh’s work with the rest of her aunts to talk to. While this didn't necessarily mean she was free to interact with any of them at any time, Emme was more concerned about simply being in their presence, and this was shown when she caught sight of Niamh sitting on a lounge in front of two interviewers, while none other than Guro sitting next to her.
Immediately, Emmeline squirmed in your grip but knew better than to sprint over to your girlfriend. This wasn't the first time the two of you had made your special appearances during Media allocations, so the girl knew that she wasn't permitted to leave your side and wander off in case she was caught with some unwanted attention.
You were fussed with the media involved in Emme, but you wanted to keep the engagement less on her and more on football. You knew people loved Emme, believe you. But there was sketchy stuff over social media, and you wanted to make sure that even with your daughter spending time with Niamh and her teammates in front of the public eye, it was minimal and harmless. There was never a time when someone would ask you to put her in a video or tell you that people wanted to ask her questions or put her in a position where you couldn't be there to aid and support her. On top of these precautions you implemented, Niamh was also significantly protective over the toddler.
If she was taking photos with fans, and Emme was on her hip, she’d either face the girl away from the camera or hide her in her jacket. You would oftentimes keep Emme with you when the two of you were in the football community, but there were a handful of times when people caught you off guard, and Emme was where nether of you were holding her.
Most of the time, people were accommodating in your rejection of interaction. Sometimes, they’d wait for you to keep Emme by your side before asking for a picture or question. Other times, Emme would latch onto your leg, hiding herself away from the strangers, acknowledging that she wasn't looking for attention.
“Wanna see them, Mummy,” Emme whispered, drawing excited circles along your collarbone. You combed your fingers through her hair, strolling over to where you were behind the cameras, looking to where your girlfriend and your daughter’s favourite Auntie found you in an instant.
Niamh instantly stood up off the couch, bending down to beckon Emme over. You bent down and let her go, laughing at the potent stomps echoed through the indoor establishment and the squeal she let out when falling into her arms.
“If it isn't the main character herself!” One of the interviewers said, the other smiling in adoration as Emmeline wrapped her legs around Niamh’s waist instinctively, making your girlfriend tuck her skirt under her legs, sitting the girl on her lap with her arms encircling the girl’s figure.
“Looking bright as ever, Y/N!” Guro waved brightly towards you. “How are you?”
“Yeah, good. Busy morning with this one.” You replied, a collective laughter ricocheting through the room. “She’ll knock out soon. She’s just had a hot chocolate, and the sugar rush will end.”
“She's so cute.” The Norwegian stated, moving down to make close eye contact with Emme, who was already giggling at the woman’s presence. “Aren't you, vakker? Jeg er din favoritt, ikke sant?” I'm your favourite, aren't I?
“Ja, jeg elsker deg, Auntie Guro.” Yes, I love you.
Guro blushed and cooed at that, kissing your daughter’s nose and pinching her cheeks with a loving smile plastered across her face. Niamh took the jacket off, the warmth of Emmeline’s body heating her enough. You watched the teammates continue their interview, smiling at the subtle wink Niamh sent your way.
They had asked Emme a few questions indirectly, asking you before if it was okay. You agreed, finding Niamh’s prompts completely adorable.
Emme would ramble about stuff that wasn't even related to the question, but Niamh would subtly steer her back in the right direction. If Emme was getting ditsy, she’d bounce her thigh in jitters, sending the toddler back into a relaxed, comfortable state.
As you predicted, Em fell asleep fifteen minutes later, quietly snoring, relishing the patterns Niamh drew on her back, gripping onto Guro’s hand absentmindedly. You had taken a seat behind the set, replying to some emails, half listening to the questions being asked in what seemed to be a podcast of sorts.
When they finished, Niamh and Guro invited you onto the couch, letting you take Emme from Niamh with a peck of her lips.
“If you ever want to spend time without her, I would happily take her,” Guro announced, rubbing the child’s cheek. “Oh, she's so cute. I'm jealous of you, Charles. An adorable baby and a hot girlfriend.”
Niamh shot the woman a testing look, shaking her head at the laughter you let out in response.
“You would give her too many sweets, Reiten,” Niamh replied. You felt a blush creep onto your cheeks when her arms fell across your shoulders. “You wouldn't be able to say no to her.”
Guro scoffed. “Who would be able to say not to such a beautiful baby?”
Niamh chuckled. “Point proven.”
That was the last of Niamh’s duties for today, meaning that the two of you were homebound after a few more minutes of talking with Guro.
You both thanked the crew and other members of staff on the way out, trying your best to be quiet in order not to wake the baby up.
“Where’s your car?” Your girlfriend asked, searching for your keys in the spiderman bag.
“We walked.” You replied, taking Niamh’s keys out of her jean’s pockets and handing them to her.
“No wonder she's so tired, baby. I could of picked you up.”
“She only walked halfway, Niamhy, baby.” You rolled your eyes, sighing. “She's gotten the expectation that someone will carry her whenever she feels like it.”
You threw a pointed glare at the woman, smirking at her guilty face.
“She's a princess.” Niamh retorted. “If her feet are sore, I’ll carry her.”
“She's becoming very demanding, I think.”
“She's a good girl.” She answered, watching as you buckled the sleeper into her seat. “Don't act like you're not demanding at times.”
You scoffed, climbing into the passenger seat with a prominent, joking scowl. “And when have I been demanding, huh? I don't recall asking you to carry me round everywhere.”
“Oh, I can,” Niamh responded smugly. Your eyebrows creased in confusion. “Don't you remember the other night? Acting very demanding and ended up not walking properly the next day… had you begging and shaking for me to—”
“—Yep, okay, thank you.” You snapped, crossing your arms across your chest. “I doubt that if you just had edged for four consecutive orgasms you’d feel inclined to walk around.”
“If you had been good, then you would've just had the orgasms, not the edging.”
“Let's not talk about this with the baby in the car.” You muttered, trying hard not to think about the events of a few nights before.
“Alright, darling. Just remember that good girls get rewards.”
You sighed, your cheeks heating up. “You're a tease, Charles.”
Niamh didn't reply, keeping her hand on your thigh all the way home, making sure to keep her complacent countenance noticeable until you made it home.
“You love me for it.”

Y/N, Niamh Charles’ partner — yeah good. Busy morning with this one…

Niamh — yeah, really good. I'm really happy at the moment. *looks down and off camera* I've got a lot of love for others at the moment, and a lot of things that I look forward to seeing after training, games, and just work in general. Yeah, it's been really great, actually.
Interviewer — how’s it been with a child in the mix? How have you found that?
Niamh — um, yeah, it's been great. Look, I'm very privileged to be in this one's life. She's my favourite little girl in the whole world, and I just love her to bits. She's incredible, her mother’s so admirable, and I'm just glad that I'm in her life.

“Death is only the beginning”
In celebration of The Mummy’s 25th anniversary (🫠) i wanted to draw this after seeing the rerelease in theatres!
ART META
That tagline is still so brilliantly haunting. I created this piece with Rick and Evie as the key that both jump started and ended multiple cycles of unfinished business. The deaths of Princess Nefertiti and her guard, then Evie down the line demonstrate how deeply rebirth is tied to her character. Her pull towards the Book of the Dead, her “I’ve dreamt about this since I was a little girl,” which should absolutely be taken literal by this point, her successful resurrection, all of it pointing to this unstoppable force that is Evie saying, “You can’t threaten me with your return if I’m making it my fate to pull you out of the underworld myself.” Death is only her beginning as well.
Then we have the Golden book of Amun Ra/Book of the Living associated with Rick as her counterpart. This book is the punctuation at the end of a sentence, fitting for a reincarnated Medjai and soldier. Rick is the guide and key to leading Evie to Hamunaptra, the city of the dead. His force of will allowing him to survive the harsh desert and imprisonment. He is strength despite odds, imbued with vitality to bring upon death to those who overstayed their welcome.
I drew Rick in his signature adventuring outfit and emotional support holsters, the ones he still wears under formal suits. And likewise Evie in her librarian outfit bc that’s where she shines, as a proud librarian—a place like her in a girl like this. But I really love how her outfits always leaned towards black to balance Rick. I decided against it in order to make her pop and emphasize the librarian aspect, and mirror his short hair better.

(not) moving on — a max verstappen x stark!oc x charles leclerc series
★ fc: madison beer ☆ summary: evangeline "evie" stark is in love with her best friend, max verstappen, but he tries his best to keep her at arm's length. but what happens when she starts to get close to his fellow drivers in the paddock? ★ notes: charles and evie's relationship does seem fast but at the same time this is fiction and i want to get into the good stuff asap

"Do you think you're ever going to talk to Max again?"
Evie looked at Charles incredulously and said, "We're on a yacht, isolated from the rest of the world, meaning we can do whatever we want, and you decide you want to talk about Max?"
"Trust me, amor, I intend to do whatever you let me do, but I was just curious," Charles told her, caressing her sides as a way to appease her.
"Isn't it weird for you to ask considering I had feelings for him yet we're... What are we, exactly?" Evie asked.
"I don't think you need to try and cover up the fact that you're still in love with Max, amor, I already know," Charles told her.
"And we're whatever you want to be. However, I'd like to ask you to be my girlfriend one of these days," he added.
Evie looked at him very confused. He was the most confusing person she'd ever met, and one of her uncles was Thor. She'd never felt so exposed ever, and he was someone she met not too long ago. "How are you so okay about all of this? Anyone in your place would've run away screaming by now if they knew," Evie told him.
"Max was and will continue to be a big constant in your life, I can't deny that or pretend it never happened. Yes, you two aren't talking but sooner or later you guys will talk—"
"He has to apologize first," Evie interrupted him, and Charles nodded in agreement and also understanding.
While Evie told Charles the abridged version of what happened on the very day she swore to stop talking to Max, she didn't tell him the exact words Max had said. That was because he was already getting mad at Max and was ready to defend Evie when he had heard the short version, so if she were to tell Charles the full story? All hell will might break loose.
"He apologizes and makes it up to you, then you guys talk again. But, amor, can you honestly say that the minute Max says he wants to be with you, you aren't going to jump at the chance?"
"He could say he would give me everything in the world if it meant being with him and I'd say no," Evie confidently told him, shocking the Ferrari driver.
At the sight of his shocked expression, she explained, "While I can't deny that I still have feelings for Max, I don't think I would be able to be with him, a simple sorry isn't enough for me. He has to grovel. But also, I'd be stupid to not realize what's in front of me,"
"Also, I can get everything in the world by myself. I don't need his help,"
Tumblr media
"Did you attend any of Max's karting races when we were all younger?" Charles asked.
"I feel like you like Max more than me," Evie teased, wrapping her arms around Charles' neck while he placed his hands on her waist.
Charles ignored her comment but Evie could tell that he was flustered, as the tip of his ears were red, but she was wise not to comment. "I was just wondering, since you attending the races would've meant that I could've met you and not known at all," he told her.
She hummed, finding herself caressing the back of his head, messing with his hair. "I did attend some of the races, but I was practically attached to Jos whenever I did," she informed him.
Charles wrinkled his nose at the mention of the older Verstappen. "Jos? You had to hang around Jos when we were younger and you're still alive to tell the tale?" He asked in disbelief, remembering how the man was during his and Max's karting days but also when he visits the paddock.
"Jos thought I was going to be a distraction for Max because god forbid he has one friend. But, he kept me around because he knew my dad and also I wasn't that big of a distraction like he thought. So, per my dad's request, he would make sure I didn't get ambushed by crazy fans,"
"Why couldn't your dad go with you?"
"He's Iron Man. And if Iron Man were to go to a karting race when he's only known to go to Formula One races, don't you think that's a bit suspicious? Papa didn't want people who were there for him, he wanted the karting event to be all about the drivers,"
"So there's a small chance I could've met you?"
"Probably, but at the same time, I would've remembered someone if they said inchident," Evie replied, bursting into giggles at seeing Charles' reaction.
"How do you know about the inchident?" He asked, smiling at her giggling.
"Come on, amore, ever since I was seen with you, everyone has been tagging me and I see it on my timeline more than any other post," Evie told him.
"Amore?"
"Well, I figured that since you called me amor, I'll call you amore,"
"I like it,"
"Well, it was either that or Lightning McQueen. And you never like it whenever I say ka-chow," she pouted.
"It's not like I don't mind it when you say ka-chow, but I preferred if you didn't say it after we have sex,"

Drabble about jk taking care of oc on her period? Hehe
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the knock on your door gets you to sit up on your bed anticipated. your boyfriend walks in with a bright smile, eyes instantly lighting up because of you. he places the food he brought on your desk and joins you in bed.
"where's your sister?" you immediately frown again.
"you come all the way here for ME just to ask about my sister." jungkook couldn't help but grin, "no, my love. i came here to take care of my beautiful pink princess." he kisses the top of your head, brushing away some of your hair. you groan again, turning over to the side with a huff.
"evie has art class. and my parents are downstairs."
"yes, baby. i talked to them. how're you feeling though?" your boyfriend sits on the very little space you left for him, right arm wrapped around your waist as he pressed your back against his other arm. jungkook kisses your shoulder, breathing in your scent.
"i'm fine. it hurts a little though."
he hums, shaking his head to snuggle his face more into you. you whine, turning around and pulling your boyfriend closer.
suddenly, you slap the back of his head. (really hard) jungkook winces in pain, groaning. "shi, what was that for?"
"i don't know. just felt like hitting you. you probably deserve it."
"damn, what did i do?" jungkook laughs.
you pull away with a pout, face completely sour. but the more you stared at him with your big eyes, the wetter they got. jungkook's silly expression changes into a rather serious one, quickly panicking about what to do. your eyes were getting teary and you were taking deep breaths while looking at him.
"no, no, no, no—" jungkook places his palms on your cheeks, cupping your face as the tears finally fall out with a small sob coming out of your mouth. your lips start quivering, lashes fully wet as you tried to blink away the tears.
jungkook knew what was up, so he just chuckled. you're gonna kill him. why is he laughing. your eyebrows frown again at his reaction.
"it's okay, baby. what's wrong now?" his voice was so soft, it made you wanna sleep.
you take a deep breath to talk, "I—" gulp. jungkook hums, rubbing your cheek with his thumb as reassurance.
"am i annoying you? like, like, whenever i'm on my period i act like this. and i'm also crryyinng. i'm sorry and i don't know why but i just do. and i hit you i'm so sorry." your voice was quivering as you spoke, more tears spilling out.
there was a big smile on jungkook's face as he stared right into your big glossy eyes. he lightly slaps your cheek, sitting back on the bed.
"my love, you look beautiful when you cry. you're beautiful all the time. and i don't care when you act like this. it's normal to feel this way, don't ever think you're annoying me or some because you're not. take it out on me, i love it when you do."
his reassurance just made you tear up even more. "really?"
"yeah, now c'mere." jungkook hooks his arms around your thighs, pulling your body closer to his effortlessly. he lifts up your pj's to expose your tummy, squeezing it after.
"mmm, i love it. so warm. " he rubs your tummy all over with his palm, kissing the area right above your belly button. he squeezes the fat again, watching it recoil.
"you wanna eat now?" you nod, getting up from your bed. jungkook takes the chance to slap and squeeze your exposed ass cheek due to your shorts.
"eek!"
"come on, you big baby."

How long is Forever? - Harry Hook x daughter of alice in wonderland
Headcanons but the longer version of this post:
a/n: this is based more on tim burtons aiw adaptation as it is the only one that i know, and i might have misremembered some of the story/ characters so i apologize if its inaccurate to wonderland or its characters in any way. I got way to invested in creating the character and story and almost forgot that that wasnt the point. At some point i think the character just completely changes and i low key hate it. Im really bad at writing headcannons instead of full fledged fics.
Trigger warnings: fighting, she /her pronouns used, slight angst toward the end but happy ending, not proofread
Tumblr media
-being alices daughter you are considered kind of weird by the aks, (think luna lovegood), you are kind of dreamy and constantly in your own thoughts but you still have a very strong own opinion on everything. You say what you think even if others might not like that.
-You also have a very different sense of style than most girls in auradon. You played alot with different colours and textures always looking slightly crazy (you took inspiration from your godfather, the mad hatter). Your blonde hair was cut to a short messy bob with short bangs, and always changing coloured streaks throughout.
-you dont have the same view of good and bad as most others , and you dont think the vks should be judged by what their parents did and immediately try to befriend them and continuesly defend them
-when mal runs away to the isle you insist on joining the other vks and ben, as you do well in new and different invironments and later because you are an incredible sword fighter, your mother having thought you all she knows, just in case you ever needed to fight a jabberwookie type beast yourself.
-Due to your personal style not being very auradon, you didnt really have to disguise as much as ben when going to the isle.
-On the isle you felt surprisingly comfortable, as you liked the weird and almost liminal athmosphere that it had
-the first time you met harry was right after bens kidnapping, when harry came to tell you all about it.
-Harry has this theatrical almost a little eccentric way of talking and moving, which intruiged you pretty quickly. Of course , You didnt like or trust him, he did just kidnap one of your best friends, but you were intruiged non the less.
"And who is this little lassy?"
You told him your name with a glint of interest and mischif in your eyes. "Daughter of Alice in Wonderland."
"How interesting."
"I was just thinking the same thing. Whats your Name?"
"Harry Hook." He introduced himself with adramatic bow, before making fun of jay and barking at carlos.
- The other three had watched the interaction in confusion and wonder. They knew you were a little odd but seeming this confortable with harry after knowing what he did to ben?
"What was that?!"
"What?"
"Dont be nice to hook! He just kidnapped your best friend!"
"yea.. But he is quite interesting." And as an afterthougt: "and kind of pretty dont you think?"
"NO! Concentrate please. He is the enemie alright?!"
"Yea whatever, lets go tell mal about this shit."
-You go with Mal and evie to see dizzy, and instantly get along.
-Later while Mal and Uma are talking (singing), you cant help your eyes from glancing over at harry every few seconds. He did look good, with his red coat, the old silver jook on his left hand, and the messy black eyeshadow around his striking blue eyes.
"He is really beutiful dont you think?" That question was mostly directed towards evie who just shot you a dissapproving look. "I'm just saying. purely aesthetically."
-You simply shrugged and watched the situation continue to unfold, swordhand on the hilt of your sword at your side. When the fight breaks out you stand against harry. For better of for forse.
"Hello Pretty boy." You raise you swordand get into a defensive position.
"Wonderland girl."
-You kept making little comments about his looks and his sword fighting which he of course returned in his own flirty way. You quite enjoyed going back and forth like that. Witty comments, smirks and flirty smiles, and fighting more for show at this point instead of actually trying to beat each other. Trying to make this surprisingly pleasant moment last as long as possible.
-until you heard an urgend shout of your name from Mal.
"Sorry in advance." In a quick movement you snatched harrys hook and threw it down into the water. Before a shoked Harry can jump after it you catch his arm and talk to him in a slightly hushed voice.
"I really hope this wasnt our last meeting pretty boy." Before running off with the others.
-You dont see each other again until Audrey turns evil, but you do still think about harry. Is it stupid considering you met like twice and he was you enemy? Yea. Did you care? not really. He was georgeous, funny, good with a sword. Your dream guy. Except for the fact that he was supposedly your enemy. but then again when had you ever cared about that kinda stuff.
-His black lined blue piercing eyes were burned into your brain.
-In the six months until you saw him again you had become mal and bens unofficial bodyguard, spening most of your time with them or with evie, your sword has taken permanent residence at your side, only taking it of to sleep or shower and even then it was always in grabbing distance. Mals paranoia about uma had actually started to get to you.
-You are at evies house when audrey shows up and spells mal. You join them in going back to the isle to retrieve hades ember.
-When your bikes get stolen you cant help but smile at the sight. Yea its shitty but he is still beautiful.
"Pretty boy!"
He drawls you name in his scottish accent and you mentally swoon.
"Thats my bike!"
"Oh yea? Come and get it back then." Before driving of.
-You run after them (except mal and celia ofc),and at one point you split upbecause the boys on the bikes did so. You follow harry and when the others are out of sight he slows to a stop. You catch up to him with a grin.
"Nice to see you again Hook. I was hoping we would meet again."
"I was too Lassie."
-The next 10-ish minutes are filled with flirty banter and tales of what happened in the last six months. It felt like you've known each other for years (as clichee as that sounds).
-You almost forgot why you were there until you heard jay shouting your name.
"Where are you, Mal got the thing come on."
You quickly turn to Harry again.
"Go! Before they see you and make it a whole thing."
"What bout your bike?"
"Keep it pretty boy, i doubt the others got theirs back so it would be weird if i did."
With a last sly grin harry leans towards you "I will see you again very soon."
Before you could question what 'very soon' meant, he had already driven of.
Just in time because Jay and the others turned the corner behind you.
"There you are! What are you doing? come on!"
"Sorry. Was chasing after the bike." You Give them a small smile before walking past them. "You coming?"
-To say you were surprised when harry and gil jumped through the barries after them would be an understatement.
"Pretty boy?!"
"'ello Darling. we're just coming for a wee visit"
-You tried , just like evie, to get the two groups to work together. Harry mostly walked next to you or Uma. At some point you hung back so he culd walk in between you and doesnt have to kep switching. He caught up with uma but still kept the constant flirts towards you up.
-Everyone was really confused on why you two seemed so good and almost comfortable around each other, not to mention the flirting. Evie was the only one who knew of your little crush so she send you a few knowing smirks.
-During the knight fight you and harry fought as a team. Incedibly well might i say.
-You were somewhat enthusiastic about evies icebreaker idea, enjoying the idea that the two groups could finally work together.
"Harry great accent."
"Shes right. It is a good accent."
-The flirting just wouldnt stop, comments thrown at each other, bumping shoulders while walking, even brushing your hands against each others on occasion. You had joined the boys in looking for ben.
"To make sure jay and harry dont kill each other."
-Gil doing the icebreaker and bonding with jay.
meanwhile you and harry in the background:
"We should do that icebreaker pretty boy."
"oh yea?"
"Yea. You've got really pretty eyes."
"And you are really good with a sword lass." His hook just slightly gracing your cheek before something in gil and jays conversation sparks his interest.
-When finding ben you had immediately pushed harry behind you and unsheathed your sword out of instinct. Jay has to pull both of you out of bens way because both of you got distrcated by how close you were standing to each other. After making sure ben was alright you made sure harry was too.
(instead of flirting with jane he flirts with you)
"Well well well, thank you for trying to protect me there darling." The hook was under you chin this time.
"No problem pretty boy." You smirk back.
Ben had his little freak out. Jay and carlos had one too for slightly different reasons.
"when did this happen? you and hook?"
You just shrugged and started walking off.
The boys just looked at eachother thouroghly confused.
-After everyone reuniting and you secretely updating evie on the harry situation you all made your way to fairy cottage. When you found chad you had to half hide in harrys shoulder to hide your laughter because god was it good to see chad taken down a few pecks like that.
-Then Mal dropped the bomb. Closing the barrier forever. You couldnt believe it. You were always a firm believer in the vk programm. And you had honestly hoped that even if harry etc were send back, they would get out someday, or you might go visit them. You considered them freinds at that point. But now that wasnt possible.  You tried to comfort harry and uma in some way but it was to no avail.
"Im so sorry you guys... I didnt know." You had tears in your eyes yourself.
"Dont worry about it Darling. Its nae your fault." Placing his hand, his actual hand, on your cheek for a second, to wipe away the tear that had fallen. Before he walked of with uma.
"Harry....."
Mal was shocked to see your tears at the fact that harry was leaving. she had absolutely no idea this was a thing. It wasnt really. you didnt have enough time for it to actually become a thing. You watched harry and uma leave before evie walked up to you to hug you.
She talked to mal but you didnt want to listen.
suddenly there was a bright light before it went dark for a bit. When you came to again, Mal was gone. It didnt take you guys long to piece together what must have happened. so you went to find mal.
-You and harry were both incredibly relieved to see that the other was okay. *cue big hug and an almost kiss that turned into a kind of awkward cheek kiss before another hug *
-Harry announcing that he is actually going back to the isle felt like another punch in the gut. Again that sounds dumb considereing how little you actually knew each other but you didnt care.
-Harry and you talked before he left. He gave you one of his rings "so you wont forget me darling". So you give him one of yours "then dont you forget me either". *cue more crying and hugs, between all of you *
-Mal announcing that the barrier will be taken down during the engagement party was the best thing that couldve happened to you at that point.
"Looks like you get a chance with your pretty boy after all." Evie.
Uma to harry on the isle: "Now you can get your pretty girl, pretty boy." While bumbing his shoulder.
As soon as you could spot eachother on the bridge you ran into each others arms.
-Kith
-like a lot of em
-Your friends from both sides were incredibly happy for both of you.

BYE BITCH
By Erica
Edited by Evie Hyde
Tumblr media
This is the story of a bitch called Britney and how not only her life, but the lives of several people would change forever one fateful day.
See her now as she stands at her mirror. See her and know her darkest thoughts…
******
The locket looked like any other. There was nothing remarkable about it, but it held power as old as your family bloodline, a power you would soon make use of.
You stood looking in the mirror, an image of feminine perfection staring back at you. You were a hot busty blonde slut and perfect in every way. Long luscious legs, soft bronzed skin, silky hair and bitchy nails. Your tits were bigger and better than other women, your cleavage magnetic and your tight pussy the wet dream of every man.
Your superior genes had bred a perfect alpha bitch with an inflated narcissistic personality. You loved every inch of your body, and you were always supremely confident, but now your hands were shaking.
After all - who would willingly give up this body and this power?
What you were about to do was born of terrible desperation.  Nobody was going to threaten your position of power, so soon these wonderful feminine features would be gone, albeit temporarily. This was your last look at yourself before you did what must be done.
You were hesitant, apprehensive even with your sexy hands shaking as you opened the locket. As it popped open, you could feel a mystical force pull on your very being. It was a sensation unlike any you had ever felt before. And now the pain began. You groaned as your big tits began deflating, your best feature shrinking away to nothing. It felt terrible and you had done this to yourself. You only hoped you were doing the right thing.
Next your long blonde hair began turning brunette and receding back into your scalp till you were left with short boring hair. It itched and you missed the feeling of superiority your blonde locks gave you.
You hissed as your bones began cracking and breaking and as you grew slightly taller, your flawless skin began to develop acne. You felt a tear run down your face. You hated how this felt.
Next your vision blurred as your perfect blue eyes changed colour and you lost your perfect visual acumen. From now on you would need corrective lenses in this new nerdy form.
The slutty piercing in your navel dropped out as did your hooped earrings and as you gained weight you were now not only nerdy but chubby too. God you hated this body, it repulsed you but the worst part was still to come.
You felt a pulling sensation in your clit and once more you lost a piercing you liked. Your slutty clit piercing fell out leaving your pussy bare, but soon that slit began to close as a tiny cock and pathetic balls grew in its place. The kind of cock and balls you would have once bullied and mocked.
Sticking out your tongue you removed your piercing there, watching as the hole closed instantly as your white perfect teeth turned dull and crooked.
Kicking off your slutty white heels and wiggling out of your tiny denim shorts and designer top; you carefully placed your clothing and piercings into a ruck-sac. Now naked you could see just how pathetic your new body was.
You were now very much a boy and not the kind you were attracted to - a stud who you would love to rail - but a pathetic loser, a nerdy useless piece of worthless male flesh. God, you wished you were a hot blonde bitch again.
The pain ended as the last of your beauty and sexiness was sucked away. It left you feeling weak and unconfident. Even the way you stood was now unsure and ungainly. You felt so awkward in this new fat body. Your usual domineering hand gestures and bitchy looks replaced by a anxious frown - you had become everything you hated.
The locket in your hands slammed shut, safely locking your essence inside where it would remain until you needed it. You looked down, the innocent locket now contained everything that was you. Every drop of pure feminine bitchiness was inside. You could almost feel it fighting to get out, but for now you were a nerd and this body would serve your purposes well.
As hot and as perfectly bitchy you were before - that body was useless in this particular endeavour. How those useless nerds in the science club had managed to resist your feminine wiles was beyond your understanding, but for some reasons those sub-human sacks of pathetic male flesh had resisted you. But they would never best you now, not now you were one of them. Well - for now at least.
Elixir! that's what they called their miracle formula, a pink serum that would transform those nerds into Alpha bitches. Imagining them turning into girls like you made your stomach heave. It was laughable and there was no way you were going to let them win the day and join you at the top of the pyramid. There was only one immutable fact - bitches are born not created. They could never join you, it was against the laws of nature and bitchiness. That was why you had to stop them.
The plan was simple. Having failed to seduce one of their number (the fool) you would now become one of them. Infiltrating their little group of losers would be childs-play. All that remained was to find the formula and destroy it, ensuring they kept their place as pathetic  nerds and your position as an Alpha was unassailable, allowing you to continue dominating the school as a total bitch.
Your feminine clothes safely stored in the ruck-sac, you began to dress as a boy for the first time. Ugly white Y front, underpants, dorky grey trousers and a white shirt with a tie. You hated how this stuff looked. Fortunately you'd guessed you might need glasses - and bought a pair from a local shop. The prescription wasn't perfect - but good enough that you could see a little better.
You safely stashed the locket in your trouser pocket. It would look out of place around your neck, besides knowing the way nerds are treated at your school, one of the jocks might snatch it from your neck and play keep away with it. The risk of that was far too great.
It was time to go to school…
********
It felt so weird walking the halls of school without people looking at you with desire. Instead they barely even gave you a second glance and those that did, looked at you like you were something they stepped in; a look you usually reserved for the plebs yourself. Now… here… you were one of them.
This body felt so alien to you and not having your big tits made you body feel so off balance.  How do these nerds manage with such a tiny baby carrot dick hanging between their legs instead of a constantly needy slit? Not feeling the usual urge to get fucked was a bit strange, but now as a boy you felt nothing.
A short walk down the hall and you found yourself outside the science room. Normally you woudn’t be seen dead in there, although you did smile as you remembered that time you fucked Professor Green on one of the science benches. Mmmmh, taking his big cock was the best ‘A’ you ever had to work for.
Entering the science room you could see the group of nerds busy beavering away on their Elixir. You couldn't help but smirk as the genius of your evil plan to ensure they never knew the pleasures of being a woman took fruit in your mind. Imagine these losers not even wanting to fuck you in your true form,? They would never do better than you. You even doubted their Elixir would make them as fuckable as you, but it was a risk you weren't willing to accept.
The nerds didn't even look up from their papers and test tubes, perhaps because now you looked as bland and pathetic as them. Part of you was still annoyed at these losers for not wanting to fuck you - it would have saved you the trouble of having to become one of them and maybe even been fun.
There were four nerds all huddled together muttering something about stabilising the oestrogen markers. You may have had the body of a nerd but you didn't have their mind and you understood nothing of their research. It didn't matter - you weren't here to help, only hinder.
You decided to be subtle and indulge in a bit of small talk to help lower their guard. It was difficult trying to strike up a conversation and making you sound like one of them, but deviousness was second nature to you, even slumming it in this body.
If these losers had any idea of your true intentions they probably would have left, but they only looked at you and nodded a polite greeting before carrying on with what they were doing. This was going to be a piece of piss.
You could see them rapidly scrawling notes in a large notepad - it must be the Elixir formula. Now all you needed to do was destroy that book and all the samples in the test tubes. It was time to act like a bit of a klutz.
"Excuse me can I just get one of those?" You pointed across the workbench to an empty test tube; your nerdy masculine voice sounded so weird and you instantly hated how servile you sounded. Thankfully it wouldn't be long before your work here was done you could open the locket and get your beloved body back.
"Sure" replied one of the nerds as he reached over the bench with a test tube in his hand.
"Thanks,” you replied, and as you reached out to take the tube from him you purposely jerked your elbow to knock and spill a flask of chemicals. It toppled and smashed and the nerds leapt back as chemicals poured over the notes on the table, hopefully dashing their hopes at womanhood.
"Oh I'm so sorry,” you gasped, intending it to sound patronising and full of venomous intent - but it came out as sincere and apologetic instead.  God this body was pathetic, you couldn't even sound triumphant in your actual moment of glory.
"Don't worry, we still have the samples,”  panted one of their number as he quickly grabbed the notepad to salvage what he could of the dripping mess.
Another nerd jumped up to help start cleaning the mess. As the other dropped the note book into a plastic bag, you coud see the spillage had  made the notes barely legible - perfect!
It was then you made your second move. You couldn't allow these ‘samples' to cause an issue. Pretending to help clean up the mess, you deliberately knocked over more cylinders and test tubes - the ones most likely containing the brewing Elixir. The other nerds watched in horror as glass smashed and chemicals splashed onto the floor.
You wanted to laugh triumphantly, you had done it. Now all you needed to do was get the fuck yout of here and return to your true form.
"Oh i'm so sorry how clumsy of me," you whined as the nerds shouted in horror and panic set in as they tried to salvage what was left o fthe experiment. Turning you began to run away hoping to use the confusion as cover for your escape.
Unfortunately as you fled, your pathetic new clumsy body betrayed you and you slipped on a some of the chemicals on the floor. As you stumbled and crashed against another table, you failed to notice the precious locket fall from your pocket and clatter onto the floor.
Recovering your balance, you staggered out of the room - the gleaming locket now in the middle of the room where anyone could find it.
"Hey, where is that guy going?” one of the nerds shouted after you as he noted your exit. “That's the guy who trashed our experiment. Something isn't right here and he just dropped something.”
Spotting the locket, the nerd picked it up and examined the beautiful gold. Weird…. he thought holding the small gold locket in his hand.
"You guys try to fix this mess. I'm going to go after that new guy and find out what is going on. This locket loves valuable and he better tell us what he is up to or he isn't getting this back.”
Little did the nerd know JUST how valuable it was. He now held the greatest treasure of all, all of your very feminine essence. He was in possession of distilled pure, feminine, bitchiness.
Leaving the science room the nerd tried to follow you but there was no trace of where you went. He slowly walked the hall, his prize clutched in his hand, little knowing the power he now possessed or unsure of how important it would play in his future life and yours...
*****
It had been easy to slip into the girls restroom and luckily there was no one else inside. The ruck-sac containing your girl clothes was safely stored in a roof panel above a stall and now all you had to turn was turn back and put them on and no one would ever know what you had done.
You couldn't wait to wear expenaive silk panties again and feel powerful and sexy in your ‘fuck me’ heels. You couldn't wait to become Britney. You had already laid your slutty girls clothes, piercings and makeup kit on the bench ready to begin when you realised the problem.
The locket had gone.
"No this can't be happening! Where the fuck is it? I cant have lost it, I can't. Noooo Ii don't want to be a boy. I can't become a loser like this” you hyperventilated, the panic setting in.
Then remembering who you were, you slowed your breathing and forced yourself to calm down.
You had to find that locket but you had to be calm. You must have dropped it when you fell over. You just needed to go back to the lab and get it.
Everything was going to be okay. Leaving your clothes and makeup out, you turned and began walking back to the science lab.
Nothing was going to stop you becoming Britney again.
***
The nerd from the science lab didn't know what instinct had made him duck into a doorway when he heard the girls washroom open. Now he watched from the shadows as the strange boy from earlier marched back the way they had come.
What had he been doing in the girls washroom?
Deciding to investigate, he entered and frowned at the clothing and girls stuff he found inside.  Feeling slightly nervous about being in the girls washroom he stroked the metal casing of the locket he had found and shivered as a strange thrill ran through his entire body.
Then he seemed to hear a voice.
Open me you fool. Release me and receive my majesty. Become a bitch, become me, become Britney. I need a body, I need to dominate, fuck and control. Let me into you… let me BECOME you.
The nerd frowned, turning his attention to the locket in his hand. He saw there was a catch that would open it and a sudden desire to do so flowed into him.
Yes. That's it. I need to exist. Let me flow into you and make you better. Let me pump you full of my sluttiness.Open me you loser, release me at once! Let me inside you!
Weird! That sounded just like Britney's voice coming from the locket?
Mmmmh big tits, tight pussy, firm ass. Cum, big cocks, fashion, makeup, bullying. You want me inside you. Let me make you into Britney. I must be free.
The nerds thumb found the catch and for some reason his dick got hard as he pushed the catch. The voice in his head was whispering such dirty things, it was so hot.
With a satisfying click the locket popped open in his hands and a brilliant light filled the room.
Pink energy escaped the locket coiling round his body flowed up to his mouth and nostrils. Like a big thick  black cock in a snowbunnies mouth, it slid into his throat and pumped down… making him gulp and moan in pleasure as the evil pink power flowed eagerly into his weak body.
*glug glug glug* mmmmmhhhhppphhhh.
The last of the energy flowed into the nerd and the locket fell to the floor as his body twitched and pink light blazed from his eyes.  All of Britney's bitchiness had now flowed into his body and now it was changing him.
"Oh fuck yesssss this feels amazing, I dont know what's happening but I fucking love it! Mmmmh oh God yess, I can feel it mmmmh changing me. Ahhhh fuck, what is this delicious power?”
The nerd moaned his voice rising several octaves and transforming into a bitchy slutty whine as his tore at his clothing and groaned as his bones popped and cracked.
His skin rippled and it became soft and smooth. Blonde streaks began to shine through his hair and his ass pushed out with a satisfying clap as he smacked it and moaned.
"Yess, my ass feels so fucking good. I mmmmh love my fucking bitchy ass. I want a big thick cock in my butt right NOW. Ohhh fuck what am I saying?” he moaned, ripping off his shirt in time to see his tiny chest begin swell as Britneys big perfect tits began to form.
Fondling a growing breast with one hand the nerd saw his nails lengthen into perfect manicured French tips, whilst the other hand was vigorously jerking his tiny nerd dicklet to the sensations of his growing bitchification. It felt so fucking good.
His once flat chest was now swollen with growing tit flesh. Bigger and bigger his boobs swelled up, the nipples hard as his massive white milkers got bigger and bigger on his slender chest. A-Cup expanded to C-Cup, then with a final push of his chest and a groan of pleasure Britney's Double-D's flopped out and he giggled madly in his new slutty voice.
“Ohhhh yes, hello girls. Mmmmh you feel so fucking good. Can't wait to get a thick cock between you… so fucking hawt!”
The nerd's short hair lengthened and his eyelashes thickened. Bitchy blonde hair now hung down his back down to his slutty ass and he swirled it away from his beautiful face with an easy feminine gesture.
He knew who he was becoming now and it felt sooooo good. As empty piercings appeared in his tongue, ears, navel and crotch - he knew exactly whose body this was.
"Mmmmhh fuck yes. I'm becoming her. I'm becoming that bitch Britney. Mmmmh ohhhhh yessss! That's it. Give me Britneys big tits and fuck yess her pussy too.”
With a grunt he jerked his waist and screamed in pleasure as his hips pushed out and his internal organs rearranged themselves nicely. His useless dick began to retract and a tight pink hairless slit started to open between his silky smooth thighs.
Britney's delicious pussy was going to  be all HIS. He squealed in Britneys hot voice as he felt his nerdy cock shrink between his masturbating manicured fingers and form  into her clit. Already dripping wet and permanently horny, Brtneys tight slutty pussy opened in its place his fingers sliding inside his newfound womanhood.
“Mmmh take it all. Make me hot, blonde and bitchy. Make me into Britney. Hahah who needs the Elixir? Those other fools have no idea how good this feels. I’m a fucking bitch and  I LOVE it.”
Something was happening. Some of Britney's personality and a few of her memories were sinking into his head. They replaced the memories he already had and left a hunger for more. A hunger to absorb everything that was Britney.
The nerd knew he was no longer who he had been. His old identity no longer mattered. He WAS Britney now.
Scooping up the locket, vague memories about it's powers floating in HER mind, the new bitch ripped off her former clothing to stand naked in front of the mirror.
Flicking back long blonde hair, Britney licked her perfect lips and gazed into her own cold blue eyes
"Oh fuck what a rush that was incredible. Mmmmh fuck me, I need a cock in me and quick. Transforming turned me on so fucking much.”
Looking down at the clothes and makeup, Britney cursed that she didn't know how to wear them or do her makeup.
She wanted more. She wanted to be a true Alpha bitch, but the locket had only given her the bitchiness and urges of the real Britney.
Then she heard the door behind her open and she turned with a wicked smile on her beautiful face.
****
Finding the locket was gone and the nerds were missing one of their own made you shudder in fear. They were still trying to clean up and you eaves-dropped unnoticed in the corridor.
The little bastard must have found the locket and gone after you. Slinking away you realised he could be anywhere by now. You needed to get back to the girls washroom, recover your other stuff - then you'd have to search for him.
He might have the locket, but he didn't know what it was or what it could do. You were sure you could retrieve it before anything bad happened.
But when you re-entered the girls bathroom, it was to find the worst had already happened and you were already too late.
“Hello loser,” purred the naked Goddess by the mirror. She was evidently admiring her perfect body and was unashamedly naked - except for the locket around her neck. “Boys aren't allowed inside the girls washroom.”
“No! That body is mine. Put my essence back in the locket so I can return to normal,” you gasped. “I'm Britney and you better…
“Shut up loser. I'M Britney now and if you think I'm giving you back this power you must be insane. This is even better than what we had planned with the Elixir. There's only one more thing I need from you loser.”
Advancing towards you, Britney darted forward and you yelled in pain as she gripped your head in her hands. You felt manicured nails scratching your skin as she tightened her grip. The locket around her neck began to glow.
You felt yourself being drained again, but this time not of your bitchiness or your hot body. To your horror it was your memories.
“Ohhhh fuck yes, give me your memories loser. I am going to fucking replace you! Mmmmh soon I will know all about how to be you. Make me INTO you, give it all to me you fucking simp.”
You felt it all being sucked out of your head. The names of your bitchy friends, your skills at doing makeup, the secret blackmail material you had on nearly everyone at school.
Social media passwords and personal knowledge flowed out of your head into hers. Now she knew how to impersonate you perfectly. Every mannerism, every subtle intonation of how you talked and walked. She was taking it all.
Next came your extensive sexual memories. The memories of the boys and girls you'd fucked. Hot memories of big black cock, blowjobs, tit-wanks and anal fucking. Memories of bouncing on your best friends Dad's dick and screaming in pleasure later as he unloaded on your pretty face at her sleepover. You knew how to make them all yours. Men were your toys and girls your victims to bully.
But not anymore.
“Fuccccck yessss. Mmmh all these perverted dirty memories are mmmh changing me more. Fucking transform me baby!”
Britney moaned her eyes rolling back in her head. Her posture changed, she now stood exactly as you would have done. Her lips twisted into a familiar slutty pout and her voice became even more bratty and petulant.
“Like OMG - I have it all now bitch. All your like totally delicious memories are MINE.”
Pushing you back to the floor with a cruel giggle, every memory drained from your head, she swayed over to the counter. You were so sick and weak after the drain you could only lie there and watch as she began to get dressed.
“Mmmmh I love the feeling of these designer silk panties,” she giggled wiggling into them and snapping them tight. Pulling on her black top she pulled her denim shorts up and sighed happily at the tight fit.
Tying up her hair in a bitchy blonde ponytail she began to do her makeup. Soon she had glossy pink lips, contoured features and long black lashes. She looked so fucking hot.
Sliding her piercings back to where they belonged, she stuck her pierced tongue out at you. “I like can't wait to suck off a boy with this in my mouth.”
Spraying herself with perfume she picked up your handbag and phone and causally unlocked it. “Think I'll like update my status to ‘feeling like super bitchy today.’”
“Nooo please. Don't do this,” you groaned as she slid her perfect feet into the strappy white heels and with a clop turned to face you.
“Do what loser? I am Britney the Queen Bitch and I do whatever the fuck I like. Now I think I'll go pay one of my fuck-buddies a visit. I am SO horny for cock. I have all these delicious memories but it's time to experience it for myself.”
Laughing she strode past you and looked down with a remorseless smile.
“Thanks for the body loser. I feel so good now and this power is all mine. I'm gonna love being you.”
Opening the door she glanced back one final time.
“Bye bitch…”
She was Britney the spoiled slut now and you were nothing.

Showering with Dallas [HC] ⚠️also not smut⚠️
I did this with Sodapop, and @audreyissocool requested I do one with Dally as well, so-
Dallas Winston x GN Reader
◘ He’d made jokes about you showering with him multiple times before it actually happened.
◘ As he pulls off his shirt, he’d look at you and put up the offer for probably the hundredth time.
◘ “Care to join me?” Followed by a “C‘mon, make my day sweetheart.” Something like that, even if he wasn’t entirely serious.
◘ One day, you take up the offer.
◘ When you first peel back the curtain, and step in to join him- he’s a bit startled. But it only takes a moment for that to be replaced with a grin.
◘ He’ll say some cheesy shit like “isn’t it my lucky day?” while he wraps his arms around you. It kind of became normal, after that- your showers became shared.
◘ Likes to be very touchy in the shower, often admiring you with a small grin. Loves to have his hands around your waist, resting in your shoulders, etc.
◘ Sometimes in the mornings, if you’re in a rush, it’s more chaotic.
◘ Dallas reaching over you to grab the shampoo, you stepping around him to get the most water, etc. Sometimes he’ll tease you about it, making jokes about “well what’s the rush?”
◘ But if you guys are showering at night, it’s more relaxed and slow.
◘ Dallas might very likely be drunk, so you could have to take more control with washing his hair as well as your own.
◘ And he just lets you, most of the time.
◘ Sometimes he might say “I can wash my own hair-“ and take control for a minute. But, on the other hand, he doesn’t mind when you’re the one touching him, doing his hair, holding his face.
◘ During his rough days, though, he’s especially less touchy.
◘ Washes his own hair, won’t touch you. It’s on those days that you tend to let him shower alone, which both of you are fine with. He’ll catch up with you later, holding you closer in bed. He’s just more quiet.
◘ If it’s you having a rough day, you might prefer his company in the shower. He’ll stand with you, do his usual remarks or talking, he won’t treat you significantly different. He acts normal, asks you what’s wrong and if you answer, you answer. If you don’t, you don’t.
◘ Or, maybe you’re like him, and prefer to be alone. In that case, your rough days and his are very similar in this context.
◘ He gets in the way sometimes, leaning on you while you’re just trying to wash your hair.
◘ He’s not helpful at all, isn’t really trying to be either. He can wash himself and then he’s all yours- you’re still using the shampoo? Doesn’t matter. He doesn’t care.
◘ It becomes something he longs for. Say he’s out somewhere, and he’s just tired, people are annoying him, he wants to go home. He wants to go home to you, see you, just chill out a bit.
◘ Around the gang, he didn’t really bring it up. He loved it, but didn’t care to go off and brag to Two or Steve about it.
◘ They didn’t even know until he brought it up once, when the gang was teasing Steve about something with Evie.
◘ In short, he told them they were being stupid. Two asked him if “he’d ever been that intimate with Y/n.” Dally just rolled his eyes.
◘ “me and Y/n shower together, Two, get with the program.”
◘ So yeah, pretty nonchalant, that’s how the gang found out.
◘ And he sort of likes it that way, having his own things in the relationship just meant for the two of you.
That’s all I’ve got for you today 🤠 Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed <3

Beel as a first time father
[NSFWish, its Beel]
Honestly I have an unreasonable need for Beel to be a good dad, and was fairly proficient at crotch fruit caring. I also have a headcannon that his baby (His name is Fenriz, or Fen for short) has baby versions of his powers, but the two his little baby head uses the most is his teleportation and hunger. -When Beel the ratking returns to Avisos one night, Bael was the one who barred him from Evie's room. Why was he stopping him? Evie is his wife she would be happy that he was back. -Bael would have to explain to him that she was giving birth. They had Gamigin attending her. -Beel is the damn king, hes going in. -As soon as hes in the room he gets something thrown at him, it breaking behind him. It was Evie who was holding Fen with one arm and ready to grab the chair next to her. No wonder Satan liked her like he does. -He ignores this fit and took the chair from her and sat down. He knew it was wrong to be away so long, but he did want his child born without anything bad to happen to her. Evie still annoyed but calming down enough to introduce Beel to his firstborn son. -Beel holds the Prince, scared at first. Evie helps him hold his head. His little horn bud was in the same place as Beels. Though he was pink. Evie said it was a baby human thing. Fen also seemed to be blond, though Evie also said that could be a human thing too since she was blond until seven, when her hair turned purple naturally. -BABY SMELL. (Yes he did sniff Fen when he first held him.) -Also breast milk smell. weirdly hes digging it. (Yes he did want a taste. Evie did offer him one of the fresh bottles of milk Evie expressed for Fen. He didn't like it.) -Evie is showering and hes attending Fen, holding him close and just surprised how big he is. Well, his mother does top out at 6"4 and from the stories her family were born big. But being 10 pounds? He was a whopper! He sat down on the seat and admired Fen, who was now sleeping nuzzled against his chest. A blessing he feels he doesn't deserve. Fen's tiny hand wrapped around his and he was smitten. -One might say Beel is hopelessly devoted to his baby.

azriel x reader series
Tumblr media
warnings: she/her reader, a little language, short!reader, reader is the archeon's half sister (no race mentioned), fluffy ish, azriel ooc, sfw, not edited oops, azriel has a big wingspan, elain slander i'm sorry i have to rafs bloo notes: this was supposed to be a blurb but i just...spiraled. first time posting a series here BE NICE. also i kind of imagine this charcater with a evie vibe hence the gif (: description: you're half fae, living life on the borders of various courts after your half siblings got dunked in the cauldron. set after acowar, feyre has invited her half-sibling to Velaris to reunite the family. but what happens after a certain shadowsinger takes interest in you?
The night air in Velaris holds a mystic chill as you ascend the multitude of steps leading to Rhysand's townhouse. More like a deathly chill,  as you’re not dressed for a trek up the small mountain stationed at what seems to be the highest point of Velaris. Finally making it to the top, you keel over, cursing whatever god decided this what your life.
Despite the weariness, a sense of anticipation lingers, excitement almost. Or maybe you’re catching frostbite and becoming delusional. After a few minutes, you finally reach the top, swearing and actually panting.  Before you can gather the energy to knock on the door, it swings open, leaving you surprised.
A tall figure stands in the doorway, the glow of lights inside outlining his broad shoulders. His features, sharp and captivating, come into focus. The eyes, a shade of violet that sparkled with mischief, locked onto yours. Is he tryna rizz me up or-
The tall figure extends a hand, his handsome face framed by windswept hair. "You look like you've just climbed a mountain. Welcome. I'm Rhysand." The sarcasm in his voice is undeniable, but you refrain from sneering. Ripping your eyes away from the High Lord, you notice two more figures emerging from behind him. One, with an easygoing grin and tousled hair, winks at you. The other, with piercing hazel eyes that observe with a quiet intensity, makes no move. They’re all very hot.
Rhysand vaguely gestures toward them, "This is Cassian, and Azriel."
Cassian, the one with the easy grin, greets you warmly, and you smile back. Azriel's gaze lingeres, still not making any moves, but stepping aside to allow you to enter. Finally out of this cold ass bit- You hear Rhysand snicker behind you, laughing at an unheard joke. Or maybe you’re the joke. It’s hard to tell.
Only seconds after crossing the threshold, a joyous commotion erupts from deep within the townhouse. Feyre, Nesta, and Elain, a hurricane of brown hair and laughter, rush towards you. Feyre, her vibrant blue-gray eyes lit with happiness, embraces you first. "You made it!" Her hug crushes you, and you swear you hear a rib snap.
Nesta, looking bored, adds, "It's been too long." But you swear you can see a hint of a smile on her lips as she hugs you alongside Feyre. And finally, Elain, looking sort of sickly but better than when she was human, joins the embrace. "I’ve missed you" she says softly, her arms wrapping around you.
The reunion unfolds with laughter and hugs, your sisters laughing and examining you, everything from your hair, to your shoes, and kind of scandalous outfit which Elain pales at.
After they finally get tired of you (you swear a singular tear escaped Nesta’s eye.) Feyre guides you into a sitting room, which is charming and cozy at the same time. Taking a seat on a couch, you find yourself flanked by Feyre and a blonde headed fae, smiling almost too widely at you.
As soon as you turn to look at her, she starts talking. Very fast. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you! Feyre has told us so much about you!"
You stammer, shocked by her swiftness “Oh, uhm I-”
Rescuing you from introduction, Elain chimes in, from the couch. "This is Mor, Rhys's cousin, and that's Amren, who's…yeah," her face strains at the mention of Amren, as she gestures to a woman sulking in a corner, who looks at you with nothing but disdain in those oddly shiny eyes. Almost.. silver? You quickly look away, trying to avoid her gaze.
As you settle into the space, the blonde, Mor, starts yammering on about some sort of dress. You listen intnetly, until your sister's mate enters the room.
Rhysand, (The most delightful, cunning, handsome High Lord, as Feyre has told you,) takes the seat across from you, his two friends joining him. Almost out of earshot, he quietly leans toward Azriel. "What's going on, Az? You're acting strange."
Azriel, the one who has not said a word to you since you’ve arrived, remains silent, his focus elsewhere. He’s actually very….attractive. Like a greek god, like you would just let him throw you across the room and-
Rhys snorts, distracting you from your train of thought. Almost like he heard what you were thinking. Oh. The blonde on your left quickly distracts you, laughing loudly, as the Cassian lad rants about the quickest way to behead someone, which is just..swell. And all the meanwhile Rhys and Feyre stare at each other giggling. Feyre opens her mouth in shock and Rhys nods, gesturing to you, engaged in silent conversation
Raising your arms up in silent defeat, you get up and walk to what seems to be a kitchen. With no food. Which is just-  You nearly jump as Azriel basically appears out of nowhere. He shoots you a seemingly uncharacteristic smile as he observes your bemused expression.
"Curious about the kitchen, aren't you?" Azriel's voice, deep and resonant, carries warmth. Very at odds at how he looked at you like you were some sort of demon  five minutes ago.
You nod, very confused with the switch up, and lack of any food, while drinking in his appearance. His hair, dark and tousled, frames a face chiseled with handsome features. Hazel eyes, deep and mysterious, hold intensity that make you never want to look away. Why he kinda…  Feyre and Rhysand start laughing again, and you feel yourself getting flustered.
"Is there something I'm missing?" You ask, gesturing to the seemingly empty kitchen.
Azriel leans against the counter, looking oddly casual. He crosses his muscular arms across his chest in a way that makes you shiver, and continues "In this house, you don't find the food. You just..think of it."
Confusion lifts from your face as Azriel just…thinks. In an instant, the kitchen responds. A tall glass of water appearing in front of him automatically, as if the room itself is eager to please.
You can't help but marvel, "That's incredible." You look at him, but to meet his eyes you have to physically tilt your head, and as he loos down at you, the height difference is obvious.
With a stretches flex of his arms, his impressive wings unfold gracefully, each membrane extending with a mesmerizing precision. As the Illyrian basically flexes, the intricate webbing catches the light, with wings that are far bigger than the ones you saw on Rhysand at the door.
From the living room, a conversation commences "What is Azriel doing?" Cassian whispers, smirking slightly. Rhysand, clueless himself, raises an eyebrow.
As you borderline gape, you catch Elain's gaze intensifying, frustration apparent in her expression. You can only wonder, why as Cassian blurts out from the other room "Well, someone's feeling extra dramatic today."
You look over to Rhysand, leaning back with a sly smile adding, "I didn't know our shadowsinger had a flair for the theatrical."
Azriel, with a casual shrug, replies, "Just felt like stretching my wings a bit."
Breaking the heavy silence that fell over the group, Mor finally breaks into laughter. "Well, well, Az. I never thought I'd see the day. What's next, a dance number?"
The group laughs, but seeing Elain’s pointed stare, you make your way back to the sitting room, leaving the Illyrian in the kitchen, unbeknownst to you, disappointed.
______________________
As the night deepens, members of the once noisy dinner party leave one by one, leaving the town home quieter than it was. With only the three Illyrians and the blonde (whose name you keep forgetting) you head towards the stairs, bidding them good night.
Your ascent to the second floor brings you to an opened door at the end of the hallway adorned with what you expect are Night Court aesthetics – moonlit tapestries, celestial motifs, and the faint scent of jasmine lingering in the air. You breathe in, and slowly sit down on your bed, trying to get the hazel eyes and mysterious shadows out of your head.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Azriel stands abruptly, and not so discreetly follows you upstairs. Cassian and Rhysand, left in the living room, exchange bemused glances
Rhysand, eyebrows raised in silent query, looks to Cassian for an explanation. Cassian, shrugging with an amused grin, whispers, "Beats me. Maybe our shadowsinger has a sudden interest in beauty rest."
Intrigued and sensing unspoken mystery, Rhysand and Cassian exchange conspiratorial glances. With shared nods, they decide to venture upstairs, their footsteps quiet as shadows against the Night Court's nocturnal melody.
Back in your room, you find comfort in the surroundings of your room. Moonlight filters through the window, casting a soft glow on the elegant furnishings. Deciding to settle in for the night, you slip into a set of…you could barely call them pajamas, more like scraps of silk, and stretch your arms, sighing faintly.
A soft knock on the door interrupts your thoughts. You secretly hope for a certain shadowsinger as you trudge towards the door. Opening it, you silently rejoice to the cauldron as Azriel stands there, his typical shadowed demeanor now softened by an unusual glint in his eyes.
"Mind if I come in?" he asks, breaking the silence.
