#0078: Galarian Rapidash

Galarian Rapidash has a more mythical unicorn look than Kantonian Rapidasu. It still looks like a regular horse, but its fur is now completely white, and its flames are replaced by wavy, pastel purple and blue hair with curls at the ends. It also has tufts of pastel purple hair on its ankles that have a wispy look. It has blue and purple eyes, purple hooves, purple ear insides, and a purple horn with a white stripe spiraling it. Although it now looks more like an actual unicorn, I don't like this design at all. It looks less like a Pokemon and more like something you'd see on My Little Pony. It's just too much in my opinion. Its palette is the same as its pre-evolution, so I do like it, especially cause it is now a Fairy type.

Shiny Galarian Rapidash now has pastel yellow hair instead of pastel purple. Its pupils, the ear insides, hooves, and horn change from a dark purple to a dark blue. Once again, the pastel yellow clashes a bit with the pastel blue, so it's not as pleasing to the eye. The dark blue looks nice, though, so that redeems it a bit. The palette itself isn't my favorite, and Galarian Rapidash's design makes it look slightly worse.

077-078 - Ponyta Line

Old Sprites

Ponyta and Rapidash were actually some of the first sprites I made for this series back in 2014. Which is my defence for why Rapidash has two different fire colours despite its sprite only having one.

Ponyta is unchanged. I mean obviously it has been changed it's using a sprite from a different game entirely but the general concept is the same.

Some things can… really effect people. but… give him time, and help him know that you're there for him, and he'll come out of his shell sooner or later.

Just the simple knowledge that someone's there for you, even if you don't fully know or understand what they're going through… can help a lot. I wouldn't be here, able to cuddle with a Fire-type at all, without my dearest friends.

Refs for the Event: OrchEnStraS

There is gonna be some more fun details (like more instruments they play, ages, etc.) on their actual pages, but for those on mobile, I'm putting the more important stuff for interactions here.

OrchEnStraS is a decently well-known group that has quite a following among creatives due to their interesting approach to music. That is, they are constantly doing new things and if you go to a performance, you never know what exactly to expect. It's quite common for people to only like a few of their songs.

Orchid Melody: The youngest member of the band, as he's still in college. He has a wonderful voice, but he lacks the confidence to use it often. Fans get excited on the rare chance he sings solo. He is always seen with an umbrella or under some sort of shade during the day due to some sort of condition. He plays keyboard and piano primarily. Very shy.

Engel Song: Unreadable but a proper man. It's clear he was born from wealth. He was the founder of the band and some suspect he has used....less kind ways to get the band as far as it's gotten. He plays guitar primarily.

Stradavarius Alvio: A very stoic man. Not much about his life is public knowledge and he wishes to keep it that way. The only thing that fans really know for certain is that he was a professor before and he still teaches his classes even now. He primarily plays drums.

Snapdragon: The newest addition to the band and the main singer since he can only play bass guitar. He is also the most famous. He was a model (and still is) and had done a few guest acting appearances on some popular TV shows, but he suddenly took a break and when he came back, he had joined this band! He is a very charming and intelligent person and it has clearly gotten him pretty far.

Ingolf Veileder: The man behind the band. Once a well-known rockstar about 20 years ago, he has since found himself managing this smaller band. He won't say why he is helping them but seems to have little patience for most of the members. He's a grumpy old man now (even if he doesn't look like he's really aged much), but can still play and sing very well. He doesn't really perform in public anymore.

My drawing tablet deciding to turn off pen pressure and get very chunky during this sketch really makes it. This is gonna be the death of me
