I have to admit, so far this is one of my all time favourites. The comedic timing, the very real story line, the confrontation of previously opposed characters? Wonderful. But the pièce de résistance? Crosshair’s character description rings true again. “Severe and unyielding” Tech had said. I’ve rambled about this a lot recently, but the boiled down version is that when Crosshair commits to something, he commits all the way. Like how he committed to the Empire so hard that he hunted down his brothers. Or when he finally decided the Empire was a bunch of shitbags and shot officer shitbag (I forget his name) in the face. He has now decided to commit to Omega, for whatever reason. And it shows. Because even when she tells him to go, he’s literally only a minute behind her. He lets her employ her own strategies despite his preference and experience. He’s ready to beat up Captain Dickhead (did they even give him a name?) for sitting down across from her. He tells her to get into the ship first while he lays down cover fire.
Crosshair’s next “severe and unyielding” decision is Omega’s safety. And I couldn’t be more excited to see where it goes!
AND I cannot believe how much I suddenly like his character. I was so disinterested in him for like s1 and maybe 90% of s2 but now I am more interested in what becomes of him than I am in what the deal is with Omega’s M-count.
I’m saying it now. These seasons hyper focuses are: Rex, Echo and Crosshair (in that order) (for now, we’ll see)

I was planning on going out to find more if that was the one picked, but just of the ones I know already:
If you haven't read Sleepless Domain yet, that's the one I kind of think of as like the most popular one? And it's popular for a reason, it's so good. It's about a world where magical girls are just a known quantity in everyday life. Their society is built around them since they protect ordinary people from the monsters that come out at night, so for example there's a special school just for them that starts later in the day to make up for the fact that they're up all night fighting evil by moonlight, they're basically celebrities, there are branches of government specifically dedicated to them, it's just fascinating to see a world where stuff like this is taken to its logical conclusion. The story has set up some spooky and compelling mysteries, the characters are fun and relatable and gay as shit, the art and character design is super cute, I mean what can be said about Sleepless Domain that hasn't been said. It's literally so good. CONTENT WARNING: there is an early plot point involving major character death, and it becomes the driving force for a lot of the series.
ALSO THE LITTLE DANCE TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE IN CHAPTER 21 AAAAAAHHHHH MY LIL GAY HEARTCATCH FAN HEART I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
There's also XII, which I found by accident at a con last year. It's about a group of girls at a boarding school who accidentally start awakening magic powers in themselves and then others. As more people start gaining powers, the people in charge at the school start taking notice and trying to crack down on things. There's a lot going on behind the scenes, and part 1 sets up some great mysteries. Part 1 (Of Magic and Muses) is fully completed, with three volumes out, and Part 2 (Of Rogues and Remnants) just has the one chapter out for now and has gone on hiatus recently, but I'd still definitely recommend giving it a read! I have all three volumes (I bought the first volume at Pretty Heroes last year, read it in one night, then went back and bought the next two volumes the next day) and a standee of Georgia because we stan a shitty delinquent bully character who becomes less shitty but still a delinquent. CONTENT WARNING: (taken directly from the website) part 1 contains bullying, strangulation, drowning, blood, general violence, partial nudity, and language, while part 2 contains animal harm, police violence, disassociation, blood, sexual situations, general violence, partial nudity, and language. I swear it's not like full Madoka or anything but it is a darker magical girl series. It's really good I promise.
There's also Elements of the Round on Webtoon, which I actually found via Art Fight of all places lol. I'm not caught up with it at all (I stopped using Webtoon around when its first chapter ended) but it's a neat story based around Arthurian myth! I love Nina, she's great. It's a bit simpler than the other two but quite good! CONTENT WARNING: familial death early on.
And another Webtoon: Let's Celebrate! is a globe-trotting magical girl story about magical girls based around holidays! When I quit using Webtoon it had three, based on Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and New Year's. The way the monsters work is so interesting, and I love the art!! Also it's super cute and hella gay and I definitely should catch up. No content warnings from my memory.
Hopefully there are a couple here that are new to others!

Welp, it seems every other Disnerd (and even non-Disnerds!)
is making posts about Once Upon a Studio, so as a Disnerd I guess I should jump in on this too!
Seeing all of the Disney characters interact with each other was AMAZING!
I wish we got to see The Nightmare Before Christmas characters tho :( That would've been pretty awesome (and there weren't any Pixar characters smh which makes no sense since they're Disney too, just a different studio partner)
As a Disney Pinocchio fan I was delightfully surprised that Pinocchio was one of the first characters to emerge! (The voice wasn't very accurate, too high-pitched but still so cute!) I honestly thought that they weren't going to put him in at all, cuz Disney tends to not pay attention to Pinocchio nearly as much as the other movies.
AND HIS CUTE WIDDLE FACE OH MY GOODNESS MY LITTLE BLORBO!!!!!
And he was trying not to laugh when Louis fell out of his picture frame XD

As always I am containing my liveblogged stream of consciousness under the ‘read more’.
Episode 997 -
Someone start playing ‘This is war’ by 30 seconds to mars, the samurai surrounding Kaido and the others still loyal to Oden rushing the palace give me those vibes.
Law’s deliberate slow walk through the palace while everyone’s running ahead. He thinks he’s so fucking cool. I love the (lack of) energy he brings lmaoo. Like, Kid was just walking too but Law is going so fucking slow. There is nothing casual about his walk.
Man I’m sure glad there are so many full-moon nights in the One Piece world gjslfggjskldfg- I only half joke, I love that the Minks get to go Sulong Feral-mode on Jack and his troops. They deserve the payback. Hope they absolutely destroy them.
Episode 998 -
OH OKAY!!!! ADA BOY SANJI!!! My god he truly is either being the absolute worst or the best and there’s no in-between. That was pretty damn cool of him. I am SO HERE for a Sanji vs King fight. I’m so interested in King. I wanna know more about him. I wanna see fire fight fire. Awww Sanji saying Momo’s self-introduction was cool as hell and gave him chills- BOY stop making my opinions of you so fucking complicated I swear. Oh I’m loving this fight already.
Luffy screaming after his crewmates when he sees them take a visceral blow will also HIT ME. His voice sounds so raw. It always truly sounds like someone who watching a loved one get hurt.
“Because he’s my son” “Your father’s on his way!” Oh, oh my god. Yamato is really serious about kinning Oden gjkslfgjkfg Love that for him. I support him. This is going to be so awkward for Momo lmaooo
Big Mom at Luffy “You always spoil other’s fun.” I disagree, I think Luffy’s crashing of the wedding/tea party was VERY fun. Like, him setting loose a bunch of feral animals made to be identical to him on the party? Bursting out of and knocking over the largest cake in the world? Very fun. You just had a stick up your ass about it because you couldn’t eat your cake.
JGSKLFGJ BIG MOM’S BLAST JUST BARELY MISSING SASAKI CUZ HIS ASS IS STILL TIED TO THE TREE. Denjiro has a sense of humor leaving him like that after his power move reveal.

Brook and Franky just jamming out and singing together on the motorcycle. My god their vibes are spectacular. Law wishes he made cool look as effortless as they did. This is my new favorite thing. Best duo. Underrated dynamic. Everyone wishes they were even a fraction as cool as Franky and Brook are. Unmatched.

Yes Yamao, introduce yourself- to a boy who just lost his father only like a few months ago in his perspective- as his father. Please never stop being such an agent of chaos.
Franky and Brook just lounging on the motorcycle waiting for Big Mom to get back up, while everyone else (even enemies) get the fuck out of there because they know she’s about to go ballistic. Franky and Brook truly the coolest motherfuckers around.
Franky’s attention immediately leaving Big Mom (again, an emperor of the sea) who is right in front of him because he sees his little brothers being messed with by massive giants ;;;; God Franky is such a good big bro. Best dad bro.

ORIGINAL OPENING! ORIGINAL OPENING! HELL FUCKING YES! It’s so fun to see the opening with the updated wano art and character designs. They are not the same pirates they were way back in the East Blue, but they also haven’t changed in who they are ;;;v;;;
“My alleged best friend” Oh yeah?! I swear Denjiro is so fascinating to me. I wanna know so much more about his time being “a part of” Orochi’s forces. I wanna know if he actually grew to like some of them or if he was just seething with hatred under a friendly front. I wanna know. I wanna pick at his brain. I like that to Sasaki Denjiro’s actions was a personal betrayal. Him saying he doesn’t care about Wano’s history - this long history of hatred and vengeance. But to Denjiro it’s entirely about the history. His betrayal was a part of something that’s so much bigger than Sasaki. To Denjiro his betrayal wasn’t about Sasaki at all, just that Sasaki is on the side of the villains, but to Sasaki he was betraying him personally because he believed them to be friends. Truly a parallel to Kanjuro and the Red Scabbards.
AWWW THIS WHOLE SEQUENCE BETWEEN LUFFY AND ZORO. I love how seamless their actions are together. I love Luffy jumping off the rail knowing Zoro will make it to him. The small smiles on their faces as they jump off, and then the grins as Zoro grabs onto him in the air. OHP, and now they’re in a dino mouth gjsklfg welp, guess that means we got a long number of episodes to go before they actually get up there huh? I kid, but also knowing one piece fights probably accurate.
JGKLJFGSKLG THE ROBOT TRANSFORMATION EJECTING USOPP AND CHOPPER BECAUSE ONLY ONE PERSON PILOTS THE GENERAL. God that’s such a sibling move. Franky you’re a jerk lmaooo they were so excited too
Oof Sanji’s mixed feelings about his raid suit being so powerful. I’m glad you’re okay tho bud.
I understand that they wanted to do a cool tribute montage for each of the straw hats and their biggest moments in the series, but I did admittedly skip through it. It’s like. half the episode.
Okay but the cinematic scene of them all gathering together? Luffy looking like the captain/leader he is? Very good. Chef’s kiss. Beautiful.

Hi! It makes me super happy to hear this!! I watched Code Geass back in 2020, and I loved it. I finished the whole thing in 2 weeks because I was so hooked! I had a minor hyperfixatipn but due to my immediate experience with the fandom (mainly Nina haters) I became nervous around Code Geass fans and that hyperfixation fizzled our pretty quickly!
It hit me again in March of this year, and I revisited the series! This time I feel like I’m getting a more proper enjoyment, as I’ve found a small group of people who are nice and respectful to me lol. I’ve been CONSUMED by Code Geass for the last 5 months. And when I love something, I love it to an extensive degree.
I’m glad you enjoy my posts! Suzaeuphy and Nina are both incredibly important to me. Though Suzaeuphy didn’t have much time on screen together I believe their relationship is incredibly deep and impactful, especially if you look deeper. I’m gonna make a post about it at some point! Maybe this weekend since I’ll be home.

FaW Emmet is about to get his niece in Mufasa-Simba trouble and he's not sorry about it! He's not equipped to handle her screaming in terror unless it's at a horror movie. (She DOES have a human therapist, who definitely has helped!!!, however i think "i got stolen from my world by god and sent into this world's past and told to find all that region's pokemon, and when i did that god started trying to kill me and DID kill me until my dad and uncle showed up to get they ass" is a bit much to put on someone! she probably definitely has kept things to herself </3)
NICHE FIC NICHE FIC NICHE FIC!!! I spent like 45 minutes last night world building for MYSELF because I wanted notes somewhere! (I would apologize to my cursed discord server but it's incredibly tame and so far from the worst thing that server has ever seen. i love them very much.) All siblings have some form of Cain instinct, and when your sibling is upset you sometimes indulge in that instinct!! I like to think Emmet can build up a bit of a tolerance but Ingo, for some reason, can pop three warheads in his mouth at once and not even break a sweat. He's vibing, he's looking for the sourest shit. Emmet takes one look at a sour patch kid and goes the other way.

‘Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious.’
Y/n chanted in her head as she quietly tried to move away from the second youngest Madrigal as she explored the surrounding area yelling out their name sometimes.
‘Fuck, fuckfuck, fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckFUCK!’
Y/n chanted in her head to the tune of Allegro by Mozart as she tried to get away from the unknowing girl as swiftly and soundless as possible. Which was difficult as she held a canvas the perfect size to make the task at hand harder. As well as the rest of her paint case in her other hand.
It was actually impressive that Mirabel didn’t see the blinding white canvas against the green fores along with the panicking child holding it.
‘Don’t step on a twig don’t step on a twig. Don’t do the most cliche way to be noticed, don’t do it hoe.’
She held her breath and looked right past Mirabel so the girl wouldn’t get the feeling that someone was watching her, but still be able to keep an eye on her.
After god knows long Y/n was able to get a decent ways away and slowly turned around before hastily walking away and back to their house.
During the trek back home she occasionally looked around and for some unknown reason looked behind her, to which see saw Mirabel Madrigal a couple feet away looking directly at her. She jumped and let out an ear piercing shriek while throwing the canvas at the poor girl who also jumped at the sudden scream.
“AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!”
‘HOLY SHIT!!!!’
“OhmygodI’msosorryIdidn’tmeantoscareyou!I’msorryareyouokay?!”
Mirabel spewed as she picked up the thrown canvas and slowly approached Y/n who was pretty sure she was dying.
Being dramatic and to lighten her mood, Y/n clutched her heart as she calmed down and leaned over.
“Mah Heart, Mah soul.”
“Uh, what?”
Mirabel’s face twisted in confusion at the foreign language that came out of the girl’s mouth. Y/n just looked her dead in the eyes before answering.
“How long have you behind me?”
“Ever since you tried to ditch me in the woods. Not very nice to leave a young girl out on her lonesome in the woods by the way.”
She joked but noticed the confused look on Y/n’s face and guessed that she didn’t know what she just said.
“Awhile. Been behind you for awhile.”
Y/n sighed in annoyance and gestured to their canvas Mirabel held.
“Can I have back please?”
“Oh! Right! Sorry...”
She handed it to them and they took it with caution written all over their face.
“-I’m not dangerous you know, I don’t bite.”
Y/n just glared at her unimpressed at the joke.
‘Pleeeassseee god just let me be aloonneee. This is so awkward.’
“So where are we going?”
‘Waahhh mmeeee???’
Y/n raised an eyebrow at the wording of the girls question.
“We?”
“Yeah! I mean, you are kind of new to Encanto as we never knew of you. And I want to get to know you! Maybe even be friends.”
Mirabel scooched over to Y/n with a grin and the girl promptly stepped away.
“No.”
‘I just wanted to ppaaaiiiinntttt. Why does it have to be so hard to be left in peace????’
“If you don’t let me come with you I’ll tell my cousin Dolores where you are. SHe hears everything by the way.”
“I know.”
“Ugghhh. Well, can you at least guide me home?? I got lost following you.”
Y/n froze at the statement, they were at least two hours out of town and it was late in the afternoon. That and the two hour estimate was based off of her, who knew how to navigate the path so with an inexperienced partner it could take longer.
‘If I don’t take her, her family will probably have a manhunt for her and I don’t need them close to my place. If I do take her I might have even more interaction with people. But if I leave her she might just follow me home and that’s not good....ffffffuuuuu-’
“Fine.”
“YES!”
Mirabel did a fist pump and realized y/n had already started to walk away and was almost twenty feet away already and ran to catch up.
