"I'm going to tell you a story. Maybe it will sound familiar." Visionary x Insatiable x Status Asthmaticus x The Wolves of War
#this is really a show about coming of age in a vicious and unfamiliar world more than a show about werewolves#think about it. scott is sixteen and to him losing his first love is as incomprehensible and unfathomable as the supernatural.#and we're constantly reminded of how being sixteen and in love goes -- 'you're not in love you're sixteen and a child' etc.#these three characters make for such a good parallel to one another in how they werewolf + seeking guidance#especially + sudden change of worldview/stakes when confronted with sudden and unexpected loss and grieving#of course derek loses paige and becomes cold and jaded (see: literally becomes cold w/ blue eyes)#scott loses allison and commits harder to saving all of his friends even though one of them (or someone possessing him) killed her#liam is stopped from killing because of hayden's death#here are three werewolves who were sixteen and held their first love's dead body in their arms#and each of them took a different path. do you close yourself off? refuse to? do you change completely because of it?#and ofc it's teen wolf so everything always comes in threes#I have a lot of issues with the writing but the use of death (barring 6b) is not one of them. they really went hard on meaningful death.#also consider: lori holding brett's hand so he doesn't die alone and theo responding to tracy kissing him by killing her as she does#teen wolf writers went is anyone going to bastardize the original narrative to ponder new ideas about it and didn't wait for an answer#also women's deaths are always about love/for a man (thanks hollywood) but goddamn if they don't kill their women wisely#and the thing is they are all running. they're running from death and what does it get them? it gets them here.#derek wants to turn paige so she'll live forever. scott wants allison to live happily even with someone else. liam wants to save hayden.#none of them consider that cheating death will catch up to them until they run right into its arms#and all three die because of getting involved with the supernatural. all of them would presumably not have died otherwise.#coming of age into a world that takes and hurts and destroys and where you are now old enough for people around you to die.#this is not a show about werewolves.#teen wolf#twedit#teenwolfedit#my edit#derek hale#paige krasikeva#scott mccall#allison argent#liam dunbar

what r ur guys's headcanons/theories for post-bare? mine is that matt has a sexuality crisis and has a crush on peter and is like, "how soon is too soon" but inflicts catholic guilt upon himself whenever he thinks like that so he just never makes his move, esp bc like. who the hell is he going to go for advice. bc the last advice guy he had made him homophobic so.
and u think this wouldn't be an issue bc like, after they graduate, how much would they see each other actually? but surprise! there's like way too much drama surrounding ivy's pregnancy and what she should do abt it. even tho it's like. nobody's business but yk how ~society~ can be. so the group sticks together and supports her in her decisions, so like, while it's tense bc. matt's there. he's also allowed to be there bc matt's valedictorian (allegedly) straight altar boy status helps them out in reasoning/arguing with whatever rando pta adult takes issue with ivy's decision-making, even when she hasn't made a goddamn decision yet.
speaking of. matt also has "how soon is too soon"-itus with ivy. he's like, well clearly she can't stand to be in the same room w me, but :( i wuv her :( [is repressing his gay realizations]. meanwhile ivy n nadia are eating chips and casually cussing out jason's dad for trying to pressure ivy into keeping the baby as if being the father's father even matters. he's like having 3 different crises in his little chair and everyone else is just chilling and bitching. he's like "how soon is too soon... no. i don't deserve him. not after what i did. and especially not ivy. they all deserve better than me... why am i here..." just brooding in the cvs aisle while peter asks him if he's got cash on him to help pay for ivy's shit bc he's a few bucks short. lucas takes a passing glance at him one day and is like jesus christ dude you need weed so bad and matt's like haha no ty :] i'm a good catholic boy. and lucas is like ok dude but lmk if u change ur mind i'll see u later. and now matt has 1 more thing to brood about even tho he has 0 qualms abt stealing church wine

doomed au timeline thing? idrk
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
uhh okay so . i saw that the doomed au kinda popped off n i figured i'd go into a bit more depth for fun so i doodled out this crappy comic thing. i think i saw a homestuck comic do something similar LOL.
im gonna give like. aftermath of the ninja's deaths and such for the sake of clarity , since i know this is just an angsty clusterbump.
Kai: The real ignition for Lloyd's downfall. The staff was destroyed moments before the transformation ritual by the green ninja himself. In Lloyd's mind, his friend would return to normal. But he was met with something else as Kai desperately took the shards and ran away instead, too far gone into his ego and insanity. Returning home they remain the same in quantity, with Lloyd and Nya heartbroken, and Zane blaming himself.
Cole: He acted as the stable rock of the group. He brought the ninja back to their high spirits again, acting as a replacement flame for Kai to reunite his team. He even began the trend of looking for the missing ninja, with hope they were still out there. Yet despite being the very reason they stabilized, no one seemed to realize he disappeared. Instead they suddenly felt lost, like they were missing something. The grief returned, and the dots never connected.
Zane: His disappearance set the team on course for failure. With him, Asphera never explained where she had banished him, and the others were left to believe he was really, truly gone this time. He acted as the caretaker for the group, tying them together once more as he tried to bring back the joy they lost through menial tasks and the small details of the world. Even back to when Kai disappeared, Lloyd could be a leader with his help. With the last light in the tunnel gone, no one had any more confidence to step up.
Nya: Jay and Lloyd's breaking point. Without her, they lost their drive to keep searching. Her disappearance plays the same as canon, becoming one with the sea. Though she was less hesitant now, understanding that this was just fate, that the team wasn't meant to survive. If that was the case, she'll go out with a bang, knowing that with her gone they would understand too. At least she knew they would be safe for now.
Lloyd: His disappearance happened long after he recognized his Oni form. After having to fight the overlord alone, he went on a downwards spiral. Jay couldn't be there, and frankly, Wu couldn't get through to him like Garmadon did. Lloyd hated the idea of fate. He felt too, like Nya, that the team wasn't meant to last. As such, in his last effort to feel control, he caved into what came easy.
Pixal: Like Zane did in canon after Nya, she turned off her emotion meter. She knew some of the ninja could be saved, and she knew she had to stop grieving in order to even try. In a frustrated effort, she attempted to bring the ninja to her level, only to blame herself for Lloyd's snap. After realizing she couldn't do much for a grieving Jay, she leaves to find the others.
Jay: Who knows where he is. Wu entered his quarters to find only a pair of nunchaku, and his gi laying on his pillow. Maybe he joined Pixal, maybe he existed as a criminal like Lloyd now. All Wu knew is he lost his last student and the last defender of Ninjago. It's likely Jay quit, afraid of becoming next in fate's cruel hand. He'd only learn after the merge.
okay thats it lmao. i might add more ideas in the future but im not creative enough to plot it out properly gO NUTS

I have tried to avoid discourse around this ever since November, but since people are once again upset at the ultimatum (which doesn't seem to trigger in game yet, though it has been voiced) I guess I will offer my defense of Halsin.
A lot of the anger at Halsin here boils down to "he's against Minthara, therefore fuck Halsin," ignoring that Halsin has very good reasons to not trust her. (And also purposeful misinterpretation of his comments about HER to be about all Drow).
So first of all: We need to look at what has happened to Halsin in his life before arriving at this point.
Yes, obviously, there is his captivity with a Drow noble house, but I think people are kind of just forgetting what that means here. It isn't "he hates all Drow now because of his trauma", which is an almost insultingly reductive take. Minthara is from House Baenre, the top house of Menzoberranzan for centuries. She is at LEAST 200 years old, and likely older; she witnessed the downfall of House DeVir, and was old enough for her to fully understand it, but "young enough that it left quite an impression on me", likely placing her between 200 and 300 years old. Halsin is 350, and was kidnapped as a young Druid- likely between 100 and 175. There is a very good chance that Minthara was a young adult when he was a captive, and he would have heard about her evil actions long before encountering her in the goblin camp. He would know who she was before the tadpole.
Halsin was a captive for at least a few days if not longer, tortured in his bear form (the goblin lashers are mentioned at least a few times, not to mention rocks being thrown at him, Gut mentioning threatening to cut him open and put maggots in his belly, etc), and had his Grove threatened by Minthara.
Most important, and most easy to miss: this ultimatum is planned for if the Rite of Thorns is carried out, hence the reference to Kagha's foolishness. He has lost his home, his place of worship, and the people he considers his family forever. Watch his reaction after you tell him the Rite has been carried out; his world comes crashing down, he lets out the tiniest "the Rite of Thorns? no", and he is so upset he no longer asks you to take out the leaders. He says he needs to be alone for a while. He is grieving the loss of everything he had, everything that got him through the loss of his original family, and it is directly because of the Cult of the Absolute.
Now, let me go through some rebuttals to arguments in Minthara's favor.
She doesn't mean Halsin any harm at this point.
Rebuttal: Halsin has no way of knowing this. Her actions have already demonstrated otherwise- she has caused him harm. He has no tadpole to see her true intentions, like the other players, and Minthara doesn't make her case particularly well. She simply says she "has no quarrel" with him. Not an apology for his sufferings in the past or the loss of his home. If she doesn't regret the harm she caused him, he has no reason to trust her.
And of course, Minthara DOESN'T feel any remorse, whether or not she raids the Grove; if she does succeed, she'll later say her only regret is not making the choice to do it herself. Because she is evil and that's how evil characters work.
2. Halsin works with Shadowheart/Lae'zel/Astarion/an evil-aligned player; Halsin is willing to sleep with the Seldarine Drow twins; Halsin is forgiving and wants a better world for all, this should clearly include Minthara too.
Rebuttal: by rescuing him and saving the Grove, the former four have shown themselves to be capable of good deeds. He is very consistent that his one redline is DO NOT FUCK WITH HIS GROVE. If you DO NOT FUCK WITH HIS GROVE, he will give you the benefit of the doubt. If you FUCK WITH HIS GROVE, he is done with you; if the player raids the Grove, he will hunt them down and attack them, no matter what the player tries to talk him out of it.
FURTHER, he very much calls the party out on any future evil deeds they do (I.E. Shadowheart slaying the Nightsong if she's on the Shar path), and will leave the party if the player sinks their approval low enough.
The Drow twins are Seldarine, not Lolthsworn, and having a one-night-stand is very different than trusting someone as an ally.
The "wanting a better world for all" thing is of course subject to the paradox of tolerance. In the epilogue, it is very specifically mentioned that their commune is "hidden from those who are not welcome, open to any who need shelter." I.E. those who want to cause harm are not welcome to it, because the "better world for all" can't allow, by design, those who DON'T want a better world for all.
3. Halsin hates her because she's a Drow.
He specifically mentions Lolth-sworn Drow here. "Cruelty comes to Lolth's followers as naturally as breathing. I have seen it- experienced it." Minthara literally only abandoned those ways because she was abandoned by Lolth first- only when it suited her.
She still supports all the same teachings (which is why she openly insults surface elf players the first time they meet, and will tell an elf player who becomes a mindflayer that it was an "improvement"), and she uses slurs against surface elves to boot. Minthara is far more racist against surface elves than Halsin EVER is against Drow.
4. Halsin is condemning Minthara to a fate worse than death (unspoken: out of spite) and this makes him not a good person.
Halsin fully believes Minthara to be a threat to himself and the player. He says in as many words that if it's a choice between Minthara's freedom and the player's, he picks the player. In his eyes, it's a choice between Minthara's freedom and the fate of the world since he knows the player is the only one who can defeat the Absolute. He's in a dilemma similar to the player having to decide whether to let Orpheus die or turn the Emperor into an enemy- it's just that people don't realize because we have meta-knowledge, as players, that Halsin doesn't.
5. That "viper" comment is hypocritical.
He isn't referring to Drow as a whole. He is referring to Minthara herself.
Remember, he knew Kagha before she went bad, and knew she was capable of better (better enough that he made her his second in command). All he would know of Minthara was what she did in the Underdark as a Baenre (including owning slaves, which I'm sure didn't do her any favors), what she nearly did to his Grove, what she allowed to happen to him, and that she's now claiming to have changed when showing zero remorse or actual interest in changing anything. Perhaps it was wrong for him to phrase it it as "cannot" change instead of "will not" change for her, but the sentiment is spot on. Minthara doesn't fundamentally change in any path the player brings her on- what changes is, at best, who she considers it acceptable to subjugate.
6. Halsin has no stakes here, it's wrong for him to demand Minthara go when she has more to lose.
Again, Halsin views Minthara as an existential threat to their plan to save the world. He is lacking in personal stakes by comparison, but remember; he also has lost the only home he knows. That is no small thing.
(From a meta perspective, I do think they should have done something like mention the Shadow Druids/Ketheric Thorm loyalists are still hunting Halsin, just to make it more fair, but this was clearly written with the main goal of enforcing the exclusivity. And honestly, I can't imagine all that many people actually want both in the same party on every playthrough? Mostly I saw people wanting to recruit Minthara on good playthroughs, and wanting to not have to abandon the Shadow Cursed Lands to darkness; many of the people I saw expressing this specifically said they wanted to dismiss Halsin after accomplishing that. This seemed like exactly what those players would have wanted, being able to spare the Grove, free the SCL, and then dismiss Halsin and travel with Minthara.)
7. Halsin owes the player his unquestioning trust after they saved him/his Grove/broke the Shadow Curse. He has no right to question their judgment.
This... really isn't a good way to think? He shows his gratitude by traveling with them to help (when he has no tadpole at all- he's doing this out of pure selflessness to thank the player for helping him), but that doesn't mean he should stop having thoughts on the goings-on. Where is this energy when other characters continuously question your judgment when you have them wait at camp?
8. Halsin is being stupid by allowing her to go be mind controlled by the Absolute.
This is one I will concede. It's not the wisest decision, and I can only guess it's because they didn't want to write Minthara automatically going aggro on the player if they choose Halsin over her. (I, on the other hand, think that would be brilliant, and would be a mark in Halsin's favor for this choice.)
9. This is manipulation of the player.
Halsin wishes the player the best, and leaves without fuss, if they choose Minthara over him; he thanks them for all they've done, and he even says he hopes he's wrong, but cannot stay to find out. He is being sincere; he believes he, and probably the player, will be killed if Minthara stays, which in turn puts the fate of the world in question. He will accept the player's decision if they choose her, but he feels threatened and won't stay himself. This is a boundary, not manipulation, not malice, not anything else.
10. Halsin comes across as uncompromising/unsympathetic; this is OOC for Halsin/ruins his character; he is being selfish; other assorted similar sentiments
I already addressed most of the other arguments with the points above, but I will say, truthfully: I don't find this particularly OOC at all. He has been very clear that his one and only rule is DO NOT FUCK WITH THE GROVE. Minthara fucked with the Grove. He has no reason to trust her. And he has ALSO been incredibly consistent: if you are in a situation where it's someone else or you, you have every right to choose to save yourself. He shows sympathy if Wyll has to let Ravengard die, he doesn't blame the player if they kill EVERY DRUID IN THE GROVE to save the Tieflings, he doesn't even blame the player if they order Orin-as-Lae'zel to kill Yenna, an innocent child he was very attached to. He is devastated at the latter two, clearly, but he blames the Druids for the second for forgetting their principles, and he blames Orin for the latter for making the trap. This is perfectly in line with his Druidic beliefs; you have every right to protect yourself first and foremost.
I get that a lot of people don't like the ultimatum (worth noting is that this has always been part of the series; in the first two games, characters of different alignments would outright refuse to work with each other), but it really doesn't make Halsin look as bad as people say, and I feel like a lot of people are being really callous/dismissive/reductive to what Halsin has been through here.

Hi! Can you write a MWIII story where reader is Farah’s sibling who is part of 141, and dies instead of soap, and the team having to tell farah and grieve together? Maybe with flashbacks from their friendship with each of the team and farah?
They were the best of us
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The family will help her with this, she's not alone. Warnings: Angst and canon typical violence. Word count:961
Farah had high hopes for you when you were off to join Price and Gaz when he formed Task Force 141 after Barkov. She knew you would be doing amazing things with them.
"Promise me you'll try and write to me as much as you can ??" Like the worried sister that she is.
"I promise sister, I promise" You hugged her tightly before boarding the plane to join 141.
While she knew that what you were doing was potentially even more dangerous than being a freedom fighter, what she didn't come to expect was the emotional impact of your death...
When disarming the bomb, Makarov seemed to have broken out of his restraints and got his hands on a gun, Attempting to shoot Johnny square in the head. But you pushed him out of the way and took the bullet...
"Threat neutralised... One KIA" Price said as he saw your body lying limp on the ground. Simon rushed to you, while he didn't show emotion, his heavy breathing seeing you was enough to tell.
Farah didn't receive the news until late into the night when she was busy planning for the next day when she got a call from Alex.
"Alex, what a surprise, everything ok ??" She smiled as she wrote down on her notepad.
"Farah... There's been an incident involving y/n... They... They were KIA" She could hear the shakiness in his voice.
She froze as she heard KIA... no... Please no. The phone slowly slipped out of her hand and she started to shake and fall to the floor. Silently starting to sob. Her sibling was dead...
It was hard for the first few days, She was trying so hard to digest the news as best as she could... Her mind wandering to happy memories to help numb the pain.
"8...9...10 !!! Ready or not hear I come sister" You were about 6 years old and Farah only 4, Playing hide and seek at a nearby park. She managed to squeeze herself in between a brick wall, A perfect hiding place. You had a very hard time finding her until you heard a small giggle coming from the wall. Sneaking over you then gently as you could pulled her out. "I found you Farah" You smiled.
Those memories she'll treasure, But it didn't help with what she had lost, Alex had invited her to be with the 141 as they were also grieving hard from your loss too. She knew she shouldn't wallow alone... So she accepted.
She was quiet for most of the time on the plane to them, When she landed on the Tarmac and saw Price... She started to tear up as he took off his hat in respect and opened his arms for her. She hugged him tightly as she started to sniffle. "I'm so sorry Farah... I'm so sorry"
"I wish it wasn't like this..." She sniffled
"Me neither... Farah, Please know your not alone with this ok ??" He gently cupped her cheeks.
She nodded, to which price pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Price decided to organise a bonfire night, Y/n loved bonfire nights with the others. It was their favourite pass time when a mission was finished. Always joking around with the others by the warmth of the fire.
Farah stared into the fire as Price began to set it up, Feeling the warmth of it as he then sat back down. "I know it's been tough... For all of us... But i do hope this will help you a little bit ok ??"
"Ok..."
The others soon joined in, Gaz and Price trying to fill the silence with small talk, But Farah didn't want to do this... Until Johnny decided to bring up something.
"What was you guy's favourite memory of y/n ??" He asked everyone as he looked around.
They were all quiet for a little bit, indicating Johnny to go first.
"I remember when they would always try to get us all together for movie nights, take the edge off... I always look forward to them..."
"They were always into the superhero movies" Farah chuckled lightly.
"Yeah... I'll miss that..."
"I remember the day when I made Y/n the best person at my wedding" Gaz spoke up shortly after. "They were the best encouragement when I started to get nervous. Not to mention they were a great dancer when we were at the reception"
"They do know how to pull in a crowd" Price softly smiled.
It went quiet again, the only noise being the fire crackling as the wood began to burn.
Price soon speaks up "I always loved our hikes, It was a nice getaway from everything, Just the two of us. Not to mention whenever they had a problem they would come to me... Showing how much they trusted me..." He sniffled as the memories resurfaced.
Ghost was the quietest for the whole night, He had too many memories to pick. He couldn't pick a memory about you...
Farah spoke up "I remember when I played hide and seek with them back at home when we were younger... I always found a very good hiding spot. In that moment it made me forget about the horror that was going on... it felt like... We were just kids being kids..." She started to tear up. Price wrapped his arm around her and rubbed her forearm.
It remained quiet again until Ghost finally spoke up... "I showed them my face the first time cause of them..." In terms that meant how much ghost trusted y/n, How much you meant to him.
Farah knew how much of an impact you had on all of them, You would be missed deeply, But your legacy... Never forgotten.

your requests are open again! yuuupi!!! so can i? like, kas!eddie x reader, as if after the upside down reader discovers her pregnancy (she and eddie used to date), and when Eddie comes back to her he is very different, and then she has to explain to him why the swelling in her belly.., can you do a happy ending? 🥹
My amazing boyfriend explained Kas!eddie( my smart baby) to me and gave me a few options on how to write the character. I hope this is what you were looking for! I'm sorry it's a tad short
Never proofread
Swelling
Tumblr media
Y/N was still grieving with the loss of her boyfriend, Eddie Munson. Just barely a week ago she was cradling his bloody dead body in her arms and now she's holding a positive pregnancy test. She felt herself breaking down again. She lost Eddie forever, but at least now she'll have a part of him.
As the next few months passed, she began to prepare for her son. Her belly was growing every day and the nursery was almost finished. She's been trying to enjoy her pregnancy the best that she could, but she always felt sad about doing it alone. She and Eddie dreamed of having kids once they made it out of Hawkins, but she was stuck here. She couldn't make herself leave, knowing he died here she couldn't leave him behind.
If he didn't make it out of Hawkins, she wouldn't either.
~~~
Eddie wasn't sure what happened to him. He woke up gasping for air in the middle of nowhere. Trees surrounded him along with the darkness. The ground was wet as he struggled to stand up. His body felt like it hadn't moved in years. Every bone felt like it was breaking as he moved around. His ears heard every sound, his eyes moved quickly but saw every tiny detail, and he felt so thirsty. He was trying to rank his brain for where he was, any type of hint to the past to tell him why he was here. But he couldn't remember a thing.
But his legs were taking him somewhere. It was like he was being called to a location and blindly obeying. He found himself outside a small trailer, a shadow of someone inside moving around. It was as if he could hear exactly where they were.
He wasn't sure how long he stood outside, but the shadow he was watching got bigger and then disappeared. Then the front door swung open, a girl carrying out a bag, she waddled down the stairs. She threw the bag into a tin can, looked up, and locked eyes. Eddie felt a pull towards her, his legs erasing the distance between them.
"Eddie?" She asked, in shock as she saw the love of her life standing in front of her. He looked different. He looked so pale, drained, dark spots under his eyes.....his eyes...were so dead. She felt herself reaching for him, her hand carefully touching his cheek.
"Y/N?" Eddie asked, his voice cracking like he hasn't used it in days. He recognized her. She flashed in his head over and over. Her touch felt familiar and safe.
"What happened?" She asked, moments after she dragged him inside and covered him in blankets. He stared blankly at her.
"I don't know. I woke up in the middle of nowhere and was led here. I remember you or the feeling of you. But I can't remember anything else." He explained, so she tried to explain. She talked about how they met, the gang, what happened in the upside-down, and how he died.
He tried to focus but all he could hear was two heartbeats. They were beating rapidly. Eddie zoned in on her, why did she have two heartbeats?
She was in the middle of explaining the aftermath when he spoke up, "Why is there a beating in your stomach?"
She froze mid-sentence, a small giggle leaving her lips as he stared at her stomach. She grabbed his hand and placed it on her swollen bump. His hand moved around her stomach, leaning down as he rested his head against it.
"I'm pregnant Eddie. I have our baby growing inside of me. I'm around six months." She explained, her hands working through his dirty hair.
"A baby?" Eddie smiled
"Yeah, a baby boy. I was going to name him Eddie, I didn't think I'd ever see you again." She whispered, holding back her tears as Eddie nuzzled against her stomach.
"I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere." He promised, kissing her stomach as he leaned up and pecked her lips.
"He'll be so excited to meet you." She cried, smiling as Eddie continued to stare at her stomach like a puppy.
He still didn't know what fully happened to him and he couldn't remember the details Y/N told him about. But he knew he was exactly where he needed to be.
~~~
Eddie still wasn't sure what was wrong with him, he always felt like someone or something was watching him.
He was always so thirsty, it didn't matter how much water he chugged. His throat was always dry and he felt starved.
But he tried to push it in the back of his head. Focusing on that his girlfriend's stomach was growing and she was about to pop soon.
He wasn't sure about the world still, learning the basics of things and learning everyone's name again. A kid named Dustin seemed the most pleased he was alive, talking in his ear as he told him all about who he was before his death. Steve and Nancy described what happened to him and what the upside down was. Robin told him all about Vecna.
But he read every pregnancy and baby book possible, preparing himself for the next chapter in his life. He was excited about his future, grateful he got another chance.
But at what price?
"Wake up, Kas. Wake up!"

Do you ever think about how Kaz making sure Inej is reunited with her brother is so he doesn't have to deal with his own grief?
Hear me out
Obviously he cares about Inej and wants her to have her family back and that's his main focus, or at least his main focus consciously
But here's the thing
They're mirrors of each other. Two people who lost brothers, Kaz's is gone forever ... But inej's is still out there (probably). Now we all know Kaz has never dealt with his grief, and probably barely even acknowledges it, mostly because he doesn't know how. That's not something people just ... Know how to do, grief is a process and if you don't have a single other person to help you or even be the slightest bit supportive it's going to be nearly impossible to grieve in a healthy way. Let alone being in a constant state of survival mode having to watch your back all the time because you're a kid in a very dangerous place and pretty much ever single person is an enemy, or at least not someone trustworthy or helpful. But I hella digress my bad
My point is Kaz hasn't dealt with the loss of his brother (why have I not used his name once? Bitch idfk my bad Jordie you deserve better bestie), which was a meaningless death. And by that I mean Jordie didn't sacrifice himself for some cause, he wasn't a casualty of a greater issue ... He just died. Because that what people do.
And especially for a kid who's all alone with not a single soul left on the earth who gives a damn about him, that's a pretty tricky concept to grasp. That your whole world, the most imporant person in your life could just die ... Just be completely gone in a moment. Thus why Kaz immediately blames Pekka and devotes his life to revenge, even though Pekka was only indirectly involved in Jodie's death. But blaming Pekka gives his death a meaning, it means there's something he can do to make it mean something.
Once again super digressed from my main point whoopsieeee. Hope y'all are enjoying the wild ride of my thoughts rn (I'm literally just stream of consciousness writing this shit, and for shits and giggles imma leave it that way no edits this is a first draft post you're welcome)
N E WAY
Jodie's death WAIT A SECOND HOW MANY TIMES HAS IT AUTOCORRECTED TO JODIE 💀
I'll never know because I'm not rereading this shit
Anyway
JORDIE's death meant nothing, and Kaz's revenge on Pekka didn't give it meaning either ... Which he probably knew deep down that it wouldn't. But those are the kinds of thoughts we ✨silence✨ because we need the rage for vengeance to keep us alive and doing things.
Now back to Inej and Harij.
Reuniting them will for Kaz make his own situation mean something (in my opinion don't at me these my head canon thoughts). That even though he can't bring his own brother back, he can bring back hers. And knowing that they're together will make his own grief a little easier to bear. It balances it out, if you will.
Two brothers lost, one brother found. Good math
OK BUT ALSO HAVE YOU CONSIDERED
Harij is Inej's younger brother
So consider Kaz is doing it as much for him as for Inej. He's making sure another little boy (he's obviously not a little boy anymore but like ... He was 12 ((idk how old he'd be know)) and that's plenty young) doesn't have to lose his older sibling forever.
And also consider
Kaz knows he doesn't deserve Inej, he knows he most likely won't always have her ... And more importantly she won't always have him.
He won't always be able to protect her, to keep her safe. But her brother could. Her brother could be there for her and her support her and even do a far better job (probs idk what bros personality is like but I bet Kaz Brekker is assuming shit too) than Kaz could. So by reuniting her with her brother he's making sure she's taken care of, that even if he lets her down, she'll never be alone.
Because real talk her
Y'all are allowed to have your head canons and shit I am NOT gatekeeping
But canonically Kaz Brekker is not the jealous or possessive type. If Inej wanted to leave him for someone else he'd be upset yeah but he's knows full well Inej is a living Saint and worth far more than he could ever deserve in a billion lifetimes, and he's also far more concerned with her happiness and well-being than what she can provide for him.
So he'd be satisfied being away from her, not knowing a single thing about her life, as long as he knows her brother is there with her.
He doesn't need to take care of her, he just needs to know that she is taken care of.
I rest my case
Send tweet
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk 🫡
(addition because I did actually reread it and damn I somehow forgot my entire point???
So yeah
About him using reuniting Harij and Inej as a way to avoid dealing with his grief.
It's like this
Brother dies
Kaz goes straight to revenge, never actually processes any of it, just jumps straight into making Pekka pay for it ... Which tbh is dealing with it in a sense but it's in a very passive way of going straight to doing without ever processing ... If that makes sense.
And that's repaying violence with violence, which leads to more violence. It's a cycle of destruction that Kaz is playing into, which is very hard to get out of once it starts.
But reuniting Harij and Inej is a break in that cycle. It's Kaz using his own pain as motivation and incentive to do something that will heal others. And making sure that neither Inej nor Harij get caught in the same cycle as Kaz did, it's using his own knowledge of that cycle to protect others from it. And more specifically, he doesn't know how to heal himself, he doesn't know how to move on or process and grieve, he doesn't know how to leave the cycle ... So he's helping Inej and Harij heal from their pain instead, and making sure they never enter the cycle.
Because he probably is well aware that revenge isn't the healthiest way to channel grief (but bro doesn't care because Pekka needs to be put in his place and we stan him for that), but channeling it into helping someone he loves is healthy.
And real talk here
Kaz probably believes he will never move on or heal from Jordie's death. Thus him being trapped in the ouroboros of suffering ... And go with me here.
If we view the ouroboros (snake eating its own tail if y'all don't know) as a literal scenario Kaz is trapped in, it's a mental prison basically, and one he has accepted that he will never leave. His fate is sealed, and he can't do anything to save himself from that.
BUT even if he can't ever break out of the ouroboros, he can keep others out, he can't save himself but he can save others from being trapped there as well.
And because of this he won't have to deal with the fact that he's trapped, he can focus all his energy on keeping others out ... And it gives it meaning. That even though he's trapped forever and can't do anything for himself, he can do something for other people because of it. Because the only way to avoid the ouroboros is if someone inside warns you.
That was a wild metaphor I hope that made sense lol
Also once again these are my head canons and I wrote it from Kaz's perspective so to speak, so when I say things like He cAn NEVer HeAl that's because that's what he thinks (imo) not what is objectively true. Healing is absolutely possible and bro can get it he just doesn't know it yet.)

I need to talk about Scully in season 8.
Her best friend has just been abducted and the search for him is being treated like a manhunt. Like he's a criminal. After all she's done to stick up for him, she has to watch as his name gets dragged through the mud over and over again. He's a joke to everyone. Despite the fact that he's brilliant and loyal and has the biggest heart, they still see him as a raving lunatic who's obsessed with aliens and ghosts and cryptids. It's even suggested that he staged his abduction because he knew he was dying and wanted to go out with a bang. But that's not Mulder and she knows that. She's not even put in charge of the taskforce to find him, even though she's the person who has the best chance of finding him because anyone else is going to go looking in the wrong places. They can't find him because they don't know him like she does. The power is completely wrenched away from her.
And at the exact same time Mulder goes missing, she finds out she's pregnant. At the end of Requiem, you can see all the emotions she's feeling. Fear because Mulder's gone, confusion because she thought that she was infertile, and hope. So much hope. Gillian does a fantastic job in this scene. She's crying and she's scared but you can tell she wants to be happy about this. It's what she's always wanted. To be a mother. And she knows it's Mulder's baby. And it's so fucking unfair. She got what she hoped and prayed for. After all she's been through. After discovering Emily and having to watch her die. Just as this dream comes true for her the love of her life is ripped away from her.
And she's alone. Without the person that's been by her side for 7 years. I wrote in a fic once that Scully and Mulder are like two bonded shelter cats that can't be separated. She's not used to him not being in her life. Thank god she still has Skinner who always has her back (I get super emotional thinking about how he didn't even entertain Alex's ridiculous request to take out Scully's baby in exchange for a vaccine for Mulder). And despite a rocky beginning with Doggett, he's more than proven himself to her. But none of that matters because she doesn't have Mulder. The person who understands her better than anyone. And because of all the things she's seen, everything she's been through since they first went to Bellefleur, she can't deny the existence of all the improbable things that he's has been showing her all these years. Scully loves Mulder so much that she becomes him. When she's out on cases with Doggett, she assumes the role of believer as a foil to Doggett's realism. She knows how badly Mulder was treated, but now she has to experience that firsthand. Stepping into his shoes, she has to listen to people calling her crazy just like they did to Mulder all those years.
When they find Mulder's body, Doggett literally has to drag her off of his corpse.
Beside Mulder's grave, Scully comments to Skinner how it doesn't feel real that she's standing there. They've had a lot of close calls over the years, but they've always ended up okay. No matter how scraped and bruised and bloodied they always managed to get out alive. Until one of them didn't. He was the last one, she says. His father, his mother, his sister, and now him. In a beautiful moment, Skinner points out that he wasn't the last in reference to her baby (god, I love Skinner).
It's real this time. He's really gone. No matter how much she wishes that she'll see him walk through the door of his office or hear his voice when she picks up the phone he's gone and it's real and he's not coming back.
We as the audience don't get to see what those three months were like when she believed that he was dead, but they must have been absolute hell. She has to grieve him. Knowing that their child will never meet their father. She got her miracle but at what cost? She has to think about how she can move forward. How she can pick up the pieces and continue that work that he started, because if she doesn't, then what the hell was it all even for?
Three months isn't nearly enough time to even scratch the surface of her grief but she's getting up each day and surviving. She has to. What else is she supposed to do?
And then he comes back.
Scully saw them put Mulder in the ground. She stood by his side as he was lowered. This wasn't a magic act. This wasn't a trick of the light. It wasn't a case of a 'missing presumed dead suddenly reappears' soap opera plot. He was dead and now he's not. Scully's seen a lot of shit and opened herself up to new beliefs but this is a whole new level of bizarre. How do you even begin to process the return of someone you put in the ground. People don't just come back from the dead. Aliens exist and monsters are real but people don't come back from the dead.
No one who spends three months buried alive comes out of that okay. I love how they show the change in Mulder's personality. Duchovny portrays him so well. His jokes have more bite. He's darker. There's a new kind of tension that hangs between him and Scully. So thick it's almost choking. It's palpable, especially in that scene where they go back to his apartment. They seem to be dancing around each other. He even apologizes to her for being cold. He says that he's having a hard time figuring out where he fits in. He sees Scully, heavily pregnant, with a new partner by her side living her life without him, and that must be so fucking hard for him. I think back a lot to their conversation in the motel room in Requiem. How he tells her that she has so much more she needs to do with her life. Not our lives, your life. What really strikes me is how he doesn't include himself into that equation. The white picket fence domestic life that she craves. Even though she asked him to be the father of her child, he doesn't see how he fits into that scenario. He never did, even from the beginning but he was willing to try because it's Scully and he would do anything for her. But now, he sees her doing okay without him and he super doesn't feel like he belong.
I sense a kind of hopelessness here from Scully when he comes back. She doesn't know how she can convince him that, yes you belong in my life, so a lot of things go unsaid. There's something that's so maddening but also so special about this show and things that are unspoken. The things that are left up in the air. All the things that we are left to piece together. They don't even touch on the topic of the baby's paternity right after he comes back even though you can tell it's just eating at him. I think he knows but a part of him just can't believe it. He flashes Scully a confused look when Langly makes a comment about him being the father. She doesn't tell him because he's been buried for three months and she doesn't want to pile anything else on him. She can sense that he's hurting so deeply and there isn't a whole lot that she can do about it.
So here she is. She has him back, her best friend rose from the dead. By all intents and purpose, this is a miracle. The man that she loves crawled his way from the grave and back into her life. But things are different now. He's changed and so has she. And she knows they can't ever go back to the way they were before.

Shadowheart and Religious Trauma
Warnings: MAJOR spoilers for Shadowheart's companion quest, religious abuse/trauma, anxiety, grief
Note: I'll probably revisit this one day when it's not so fresh in my mind and hopefully I'll make more sense then. For now, these are my thoughts, jumbled and raw
One of the most heartbreaking things for me while playing BG3 was Shadowheart's story and how analogous it is to religious deconstruction.
I was raised in a Christian cult – I won't go in depth about the abuses I suffered within, but I will say that the pain is always with me, much like the curse of Shar that lingers within Shadowheart until you make your final decisions in the House of Grief.
Shadowheart travels an arduous path from Shar's embrace to freedom; she's zealous when you first meet her, having been stripped of her entire identity. Shar and her followers have not only taken her name, her memories, and caused her immeasurable mental and physical harm; they have also taken her family, warped her only memory of her father into a source of paralyzing fear.
If you establish a bond with Shadowheart, you see her start to question the curse bestowed on her. She begins to doubt the "lesson" her goddess must be teaching her. And then you meet the Nightsong, the ultimate test of her faith.
If Shadowheart spares Dame Aylin's life, she turns her back on her goddess and the only community she's ever known up until the tadpole brought you together. She doesn't have to make this decision alone. She has you and your other companions standing with her. She spares the Nightsong and rejects the cruel deity she's spent her life serving.
Shadowheart appears more hopeful, more determined than ever. With your help, she's going to find her parents and save them from the goddess.
You fight side by side through the dark disciples and the Mother Superior in the House of Grief. You get the key to the dungeon. You find her parents. There's an impossibly brief moment where you think we did it. And then Shar shows herself.
She tells Shadowheart to make the choice between her own freedom and her parents' lives. This decision devastated me. I had to close the game. I had to take a breath and calm down. Because I had to make that decision too.
I had to decide between my own life and a relationship with the people who raised me. I could come out and reject everything I'd been taught, severing the bonds between myself and the people who perpetuated my pain; or I could carry on in service until it killed me.
When Shadowheart was presented the options, there was no question in my mind as to what I was going to choose. But I didn't know if that was because it was what was best for me or for her.
This is where Shadowheart's story diverts the most from my own. Her parents wanted her to be free. Their faith in Selûne would transform them, bring them peace, and keep them close to her. Knowing this, I urged Shadowheart to take their lives, putting them at rest. She did.
Shadowheart is free from the Lady of Loss now. But she grieves. She'll never hear her parents' laughs. She'll never feel their comforting touches or receive their careful wisdom. That pain is real, and it'll never disappear. But the hope is that she won't be alone. She has your merry band of weirdos after all.
That's what has saved me too. My friends, the queer and neurodivergent communities, support from my therapist. It'll always hurt, but with their help I'll survive it.
Larian is such an amazing team. The care they've put into telling stories of survival, grief, love, healing, and tough decisions is so amazing. I'm grateful for their hard work and creativity. The moments of hurt and the moments of catharsis will stay with me for a long, long time.

Reflections on family (Or: I gave Astarion even more father issues which says nothing about me personally nope)
--
They are not unkind, the Ancunins, your still-living family. Stilted, formal, like you're strangers--which you suppose you are at this point, yes. But they invite you into their home knowing full well that you could not enter if they so wished it. A show of trust for which you are grateful.
If this were a bard's tale, they would lead you to a musty room unchanged for two centuries, a lovingly kept shrine to a past you barely recall, the promising young man you once were. You would unearth artifacts of yourself. They would embrace you as you are now, public reputation be dammed, because you were missed and you are valued.
But this is not that story, so instead you are taken to the parlor--with its faded carpet that reminds you unpleasantly of your former home--where you pretend to sip tea across from your aged father and younger brother. Conversation is awkward and strained. You can charm people almost effortlessly, but being here is like talking to a chasm; the silence fills an unbridgeable gap in time.
You're told your mother died fifty years ago of a weak heart. You saw her portrait in the foyer. Apparently you used to have her eyes. You get the sinking sense that they're relieved she did not live to see your monstrous return from the dead.
Your brother is the one to finally ask. How it happened. Where you were all those years you didn't come home.
You tell them about Cazador.
"This calls for something stronger than tea, I think," your father says.
"Please," you agree.
They struggle to look at you. Their expressions remain a careful mask of polite neutrality except for occasional flickers of sadness, fear, guilt, anger. Disgust.
Well, if they want to play it like that, fine. You can wear a mask better than anyone.
Your family are not warm. They are not outright cold toward you, either. Never cruel or pitying. You almost wish they were. The familiarity would at least make it sting less.
Two hundred years lost. How can there be so little to say to each other?
You don't blame them, of course. To lose a son or brother violently, to grieve him, must be an unspeakable tragedy. To gain a vampire spawn, well... that is nothing other than an ill omen to add to the family's already waning fortune.
It is exactly what you'd come to expect of the dark place Cazador showed you the world could be. All you thought possible before you saw the sun again and dared to hope for more.
You leave the manor feeling quite like an unwanted ghost exorcised from their lives. It's closure of a sort for them, you suppose. You are just an untended grave in their eyes. Never mind that you had been hoping for a new beginning.
You regret making this journey alone.
Soon, though, you return to the arms of your dearest love.
"How did it go?" she asks.
"It was..."
You think about your darling who saved you. You think about your handful of tadpole-forged friendships--Karlach, and Wyll, Lae'zel, even Gale. You think about your siblings, the other spawn, bonded through shared blood none of you chose.
"Astarion?"
"It doesn't matter," you say dismissively. "I didn't find my family there."
"Hmm."
She's writing something, a while later.
"Composing another ballad?" you wonder.
"No. I'm writing a letter to Dalyria."
"What? Why?"
You had no idea they even correspond.
"Because I think you need a hug from your sister."
Perhaps she isn't wrong, but still, it seems like a lot of effort to go through just for that. For you.
"She's very busy," you protest.
"Then she'll make time. That's what family does."
You don't know what to say. Something in your chest uncoils; you're filled with warmth like fresh blood, an emotion akin to gratitude. Something you haven't felt so strongly in a very long time.
You feel wanted. Loved.

WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE RENEGADE KARMA FILES
I just recently finished the renegade route and it has NOT left my brain. there is ONE THING that i have to talk about. i have to. HUGE spoils below
Tumblr media
THEY CAME FOR ME. THEY CAME FOR ME SPECIFICALLY. AND I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. SO LET'S TALK ABOUT IT
Amber dies in the most fitting, tragic end ever.
Starting off STRONG but uh. As Amber's #1 fan I have been in legit fucking MOURNING. LIKE. WOW. THEY REALLY CAME FOR MY THROAT THERE HUH.
I've spent days just thinking about it. How fitting it is, how terrible it is. Because M2 said it herself; It's a true death. No one remembers her and therefore there will be no one to mourn her. And this is RENEGADE. This is the bad route, so that means that there's gonna be no respite. No saving her, or anyone else that died. She'll remain a burned, forgotten memory until the rest of the world joins her.
And her mother will remain grieving with no idea why. She is grieving a daughter she can't possibly comprehend. She'll remain in her sorrow, unable to connect the pieces until she's inevitably erased too.
Amber thought about her in her final moments, thought about how she wanted to be like her. She wanted to relay a final message in her sacrifice; One that is forgotten by both the messenger and reciever. She loves her mom more than anything in the world and she can't even give her the final message from her daughter to let Tesla grieve.
And it's fitting. Her being forgotten. Her anger burns just as hot as her desire to be wanted, after all. She just wants friends, to be included, to be loved and cherished by someone. But she blames herself for her problems and sees herself as a burden, so she pushes people away. She thinks she wants to be isolated, because she ultimately sees herself unworthy of love. But that isn't further from the truth. She's capable of love and more. She reconnects with Venam, learns to open up and express her emotions around her mom. She gets support. She gets love because she is worthy.
Only for her to sacrifice herself for that love she wanted. Ending up where she thought she deserved. Forgotten, discarded, and alone. Her death takes everything she actually wants and erases it entirely. And she is left not even alone. Not even a concept. Just nothing.
There will be no more anything for Amber Von Brandt. The world forgot her just as she wanted. Her best friend's final thought of her fades so fast it doesn't even matter. Her mother remains in turmoil, broken over a love she doesn't know she had. Her only child is the child that took away what she doesn't know she lost.
There's no mourning. There's nothing. And it's so fitting it hurts.
Anyways tl;dr styx is sad about ambers death bc DUH. DID ANY OF U SEE IT. WHAT THE FUCK JAN.

what does kaigaku think of darling?
( I can image her crying bc of dakis death bc she lost the only person she got semi close to 😭)
Love all your work and keep up the amazing work!! <3
Masterlist (this is about the miscommunication story)
Thank you sm for the support <3
I love this question, so lets dive into it.
(Also, it's midnight where I live and I'm tired, so sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes)
Warnings (all very minor): yandere themes, talk about manipulation tactics to keep someone in an unhealthy relationship, mentions of religion, God/worshiper dynamic, mentions of stockholm syndrome, talk about grieving, talk about death
Muzan wouldn't let darling know about the death of an upper moon or any demon that didn't die by his hands.
Why?
Mainly these 3 reasons
1. Less escape attempts/giving up entirely on escaping
He has manipulated darling into thinking demons are immortal. They can only die by their creator's hand.
This is to install fear into darling to make her think that even if she managed to escape, no one would be able to protect her.
2. Fear/obedience
Muzan wants darling to fear them. He doesn't need her love (although he would like it at some point, he just doesn't realize it yet.) He needs her obedience, the others need her obedience.
They don't mind a little fight, but Muzan needs it to stay by a little fight. He can't have her think she would be able to overpower them.
3. Stockholm syndrome/seeing Muzan and the demons as higher beings
Muzan wants darling to beg for him, to pray at his feet. He wants her to know how much better, how much stronger he is than humans.
He wants her to realize that he and the others are superior, that she should kiss their feet and be grateful to be at their side.
They see darling as someone higher than humans but still far lower than them.
If he could make her see all that, that she is in the presence of a God, maybe she'll start to reciprocate the feelings they have for her.
If they can make her see that there is no one better than them and more able to protect her, grand her wishes, she will be at their side willingly.
Muzan needs her to be thankful, grateful. Willingly putting all that she is at his feet, giving him her life.
If they aren't able to consume her literally, they will do it figuratively. Taking all that darling is and making it theirs theirs theirs.
Now back to the question.
Darling isn't really allowed to communicate with other demons besides the upper three and Muzan.
There are some exceptions, of course, she is allowed to be around the other higher ranks (not alone of course) and Muzan thought that being with Daki would expose darling to more positive talk about him from Daki.
So yeah, darling and Daki had a little bond, not big enough to call it friendship, but it was something.
And that something will make darling notice that Daki is never around anymore, as is her brother.
And when Muzan shuts her up when she's asking questions she knows something is wrong.
Either he killed them (which she finds highly unlikely) or something happened to them.
Getting introduced to Kaigaku (more like the upper three showing that he can't touch her, look at her or even breathe in her direction.) is the last piece of the puzzle she needed to realize that Daki and Gyutaro had been killed .
Especially because Kaigaku can't shut up about how great he is and accidentally slipped up on how he would never get killed by a demon slayer, unlike Gyutaro and Daki.
Darling would be shocked at first, because she didn't think that was possible or that there were humans that slayed demons.
And when the shock fades, yeah, she would feel a bit sad.
Her gal pal, her demon she had at least some kind of bond with (beside Nakime) was gone. Daki was the only one who didn't hurt her or force her. She could be mean at times and she could be a bit too persistent with some things, but knowing darling was Muzan's, Daki never really dared to actually pain darling or make her upset.
Darling would shed a few tears and maybe even get mad at Muzan for replacing Daki with that guy.
It won't be long-term, though. The sadness will fade, and she won't really miss Daki, just her company.
Now how she would react to Kaigaku.
Darling wouldn't be allowed around him much because he is male.
And second of all, because he hasn't been a demon for that long, darling can see his human traits very clear.
She can see the coward hiding behind all that big talk. She even gets disgusted by him at times when he's gloating and tells her that she's 'evil' because she doesn't agree with him.
(It's a wonder he didn't get killed already)
Darling knows he will sacrifice others to save his own skin, that's why she doesn't really like him.
But then again, she doesn't like any demon.
Her opinion on him is not related to Daki's death. Darling just goes with a 'tolerable scale'. Daki and Akaza are a bit higher than the rest, but she still doesn't willingly want to be around them. It's more of a: a rather be around them then be around ...
Kaigaku's opinion on darling isn't really there? He finds it strange that the upper three and Muzan himself have a 'human pet' as he calls her.
Kaigaku sees darling as a form of protection if ever needed; he can literally use her as a shield to get away from Muzan or even threaten to kill her when things escalate. (In his mind, it works, but we all know that he would be dead in seconds.)
Kaigaku does take an interest in darling. She isn't a coward (unlike him) and knows things about the higher-ups that no one else does...
Kaigaku doesn't dislike or like darling, but she sure is useful to him and will make himself acquainted with her for those reasons.
I hope this answers your question!

Christmas Fics 2023 (Part 3):
I Gave You My Heart by queenkhaleesistark - T, one-shot - One-shot After the year she's had Hermione just wants a drink and to see her godchildren at the annual Potter Christmas party. She doesnt expect who turns up at the door.
A Bottle of Blotson's by thepotterfamily - E, WIP - A little Christmas tale in which Hermione and Draco are workaholics spending the holidays in the Ministry halls together, but separate. In which Draco steals Hermione’s ink and makes up for it with the best gift she’s ever received. In a world where Draco is Hermione’s golden boy and Hermione is Draco’s saving grace, please enjoy my ten-part Christmas tale that is really more of a New Years Eve story. Eventually NSFW.
Willow Weep for Me by MilanScolding - E, WIP - Hermione Granger is now realizing that the price she paid for her parents’ safety may have been costlier than she can contend with. Alone and grieving, she seeks refuge in a town rife with their ghosts. Draco Malfoy is lost without direction, after all that he has been raised to be and believe is shattered. Grave whispers and hostile stares follow him wherever he goes, a reminder that a reckoning awaits for his service to the Dark Lord. How then, do they only find comfort with each other in a muggle park, when mere months ago they were sworn enemies? *** AKA traumatized!Hermione and traumatized!Draco find that misery loves company, but it gets harder and harder to be miserable when your company of choice is not ugly, gives you good tea recipes, and kisses you when rip roaring drunk
Pink by TeTe91 - G, one-shot - It's quite embarassing how long it took Hermione to figure out that the pair of pink socks that appeared on her stack of laundry are her fellow Head Boy's lucky item. The final Quidditch match before the winter holidays is fast approaching and all signs predict a win of Hufflepuff over Slytherin. Still, it's such fun to watch Draco grow more unhinged by the day. She will mend the socks - no need to worry - but first she'll lean back and enjoy the show.
Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Anonymous - E, one-shot - An obnoxious best friend and her too-tall heels. A mystery man in a dragon mask. One stupid little sprig of mistletoe. Hermione Granger had no idea what she was getting into when she showed up at Hyperion Enterprises' Christmas Masquerade.
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus by Biirdiee_Rose - E, one-shot - “What does what mean?” James asks through a mouthful of cake. “Milf,” Scorpius says, watching the other two’s expressions cautiously for reactions. “McLaggen just called my mum a ‘milf extraordinaire’.” James just cackles while Albus looks sheepish. “Mum I’d like to fuck.” The older boy says simply while Scorpius blinks in confusion. “Excuse me?” “That’s what milf means, mum I’d like to fuck.” - While at the annual Hogwarts Fundraiser, Scorpius learns a new word and that unfortunately people associate his mother with it. ...you write for Persona? and no one asked of it? Welp, Do you have any Basic relationship headcannons for Yukari Takeba and Mitsuru Kirijo?
Well, there have been quite a few requests for 5, but a lot of them are sitting in the inbox 😅 I ended up covering Mitsuru in another request, but I'll gladly do Yukari :3
Warnings: Mentions of arguing
Yukari Takeba Relationship Headcanons
Tumblr media
As a holder of the Lovers Arcana, Yukari's life revolves around her relationships
And that especially applies to you
She values her relationship with you very much
Her cheery attitude only seems to increase when she's with you
She greets you every morning with all smiles, taking your hand in here as you board the train and talk about whatever comes to mind
And again when you go to class, and after school
Yukari just loves being with you whatever chance she gets
She's quite affectionate as well, loving to hold your hand or your arm as you walk together, and loves cuddling up to you when you're alone
ONLY then, though
If you try and get too close to her in public, she'll push you away and call you a pervert, blushing red as a strawberry
She also gets pretty flustered with voicing her love for you though, so overall, expect a lot of red-faced Yukari
She also likes to tease you a lot, in a gentler manner than she does with Junpei, but often leads to lots of playful bickering
It's fun though, and as she says, she does it only out of love~
Of course, she is prone to mood swings, but she tries hard not to unload them into you
You two go on dates pretty much every day
Going to the florist is nice, and a good meal at the Iwatodai Strip Mall is always fun
Anything's fair game when she's with you, but she
But despite how much she values your relationship, she's hesitant to rely on you and let you in, which unfortunately creates barriers every now and then
It's not that she doesn't trust you, but she's very self-reliant and doesn't like needing to depend on others
She does snap at you from time to time, insisting that she doesn't need your help despite obviously not meaning it
At the end of it, however, she does apologize and make amends, and tries to let you in more often
Her parents are a particularly sore subject, and she definitely needs some comforting after receiving an aggravating phone call from her mother, or when she grieves for her father
But Yukari greatly appreciates your patience, and she's more than willing to be there for you as well
She's very supportive with you, especially if you have any familial problems, which she can sympathize with
And her bravery allows her to go to great lengths to make sure nothing hurts you, even if it ends with you having to pull her away from the situation to calm down
You appreciate the effort though, and it sets an example for her as well
Overall, you have your ups and downs, but Yukari is a very sweet girlfriend to you
She realizes she can be difficult sometimes, but she's incredibly grateful to have you by her side, and she's always there for you too

I like that the implied dynamic of the SV friend group after the treasure hunt is like... one A student, two people that rarely attend classes, and the protag-- who can be whatever.
What I'm saying is Nemona is going to be coaxing Penny into class with pocky, full body dragging Arven to anything not home ec, and looking at protag with either relief or disappointment.
Largely because she'll feel like it's her business as student council president, but also because she Cares.
Penny will be fine once she acclimated to the friendlier atmosphere and her friends being there, barring any sick days for Sensory Overload Has Vetoed Life times.
Arven... well he wants to become a chef. But hes also spent who knows how long fucking around not doing school stuff. If it wasnt picnic or Mabosstiff related, he ignored it. Probably in large part due to feelings of "mom/dad just enrolled me here to keep me out of the way/not have to think about me" and then being too emotionally drained to care about anything but nursing Mabosstiff. He might end up being given time off beyond the treasure hunt span just.. to get affairs in order, let alone being given time to grieve. When he comes back, it might be hard for him to get back into it since hes kinda... made sure hes behind.
I just think its neat to imagine Nemona being the driving force of study sessions. Because while Penny knows stuff, homework is Hard to Care About Sometimes. Arven is doing his best but feels weird trying to actually TRY now. Protag is protag.
Just like the mental image of Nemona using battle metaphors, realizing that's not working, and then spending a surprising amount of time reading up on computer stuff and sandwich making to help make it easier for her friends to relate to things.
Just think its neat

It's Frieren Friday, but there's no more new Frieren, so instead I'm just thinking
In part what gets me is the usual: I have a strong affinity for characters that don't understand their emotions.  They're almost always favorites.  I think the reason Serie hits so hard is because she operates as a foil to Frieren's journey.
Frieren's current journey is about contextualizing the human experience she lived through during her travels with Himmel's party.  She's coming to understand how much that brief period meant to her, and that despite how small a portion of her life it truly was, it's had a huge impact on the course of her life.  And it's also about grieving the loss of Himmel.  The introduction that gets this moving is his death, and the realization of how much he meant to her.  The whole show is very retrospective, looking through the past while moving forward.
Serie is the exact opposite.  Serie's response, any time she's asked, is that Flamme is a failure, she never lived up to her heights, and she really shouldn't take on human apprentices anymore.  But she does.  Pretty constantly, apparently.  And she remembers each of them perfectly; their names, their faces, their favorite spells.  Even uses their favorite spells in her day to day, creating the field of flowers in the examination room using Flamme's spell.  Who's to say other spells haven't been used in equal effect?  The flowers are just the ones Frieren would notice.
Serie's grieving the loss of people she cared about too, but unlike Frieren, she has no idea why or what's even happening.  The reason she recalls all these people with such perfect clarity is completely lost on her.  She has an intellectual understanding of each of them, but never really made much human connection with anyone.  Even her current apprentice is so in the dark about how Serie thinks and feels that he assumes she's just as disappointed in his abilities as she claims, and is primarily concerned about her living a long life alone with no one's legacy beside her.
There's something tragic and powerful to the idea that Serie's always taken on these human apprentices, and despite caring deeply for them, never once realized it.  That all of them died likely thinking the same as her current one does: that she was disappointed they never measured up.  That for all the care she must have held, they may never have known, because she didn't tell them.  She didn't understand it herself.  And now that they're gone, all she can do is use their favorite spells to bring herself reminders of them, for reasons she can't even parse.
Which is exactly what Frieren's going through.  With how much HImmel meant to her, whether romantic or platonic or whatever it was, she never got to tell him, and now he's gone.  She has only those memories to guide her, and she's embracing each to learn more about herself and her journey, and is starting to better appreciate the current moment.  She's not perfect at it, her most recent argument with Fern shows she's still not great at telegraphing how she feels.  But she's trying.  And that's something Serie's never tried to do.
It's why Serie's so predictable.  Frieren and Flamme predict her literal every move, because she's never emotionally matured.  She operates purely intellectually, and she is talented.  As Frieren points out, her intuition is always right, and we see that the intuition has a logical sense to it.  Magic is drawn from imagination, and if you can't imagine yourself as first class, then you're not.  Even as far as her focus on fighting, the northern lands are still home to demons.  If you can't think of how to fight an opponent likely stronger than you, you won't win.  There's a logical sense to all of it.  But despite all that, Frieren knows full well that Serie will be a brat about her approach to magic, just as she'll be too impressed by Fern's ability to fail her even if she's like Frieren.  Even with Flamme's will, she called that Serie would throw a fit about the request, but here we are all these years later and Serie's basically doing as she asked.  Serie will have her little outburst and her big speech about magic needing to be exclusive.  But over the years, she'll settle down from that argument, and she is going to miss her apprentice.
I just...really like Serie.  She's neat.
