(btw I apologize for this being long af 😔)

So I feel like I should prep this by saying before I figured out about LMK I was super into OPS's jttw series. So I made Zhao with the context of the book, and the book doesn't sugar coat things so Zhao's backstory is a bit uhhh, mature? There's no nsfw stuff but there is a lot, lot, loottt of angst (even though the backstory is kinda "simple"), so forgive me :'(

I did change up her backstory a bit for the LMK version because it is a kids show and I don't feel like the creators would stick with the dark tone of the original. Whenever I write OCs for sertant shows I try to write it with the context of "How would the creator tackle this if my oc was a Canon character?" Yk? You don't write a depressed, emo, Greek hero for a light hearted magical girl show.

So ye, this first segment will be her JTTW backstory sum-up and I'll note what is changed in the LMK version at the end👍

JTTW/original backstory(this is long, read at your own risk)-

-Zhao wasn't raised in the best household.. Not only was her father a total womanizer with 3 wives (at the time of her birth, by now he has 7) and who knows how many mistresses, but her elder family member were pretty verbally abusive. I mentioned before but Xiaotian and Biao-Qi (Zhao's father and grandfather) wanted Zhao to be born as a male because in their clan its essential for the first born of every generation to be a boy, so when they found out about Zhao being a girl they were really salty and thought of her as "The disgrace" of the family. (hence why Zhaoyan is a name generally given to Chinese boys, which yea Xiaotian is the type of douche-bag to chose the name of the child at the start of his marriage without the mothers approval)

-Zhao was the one basically raising her younger siblings because her parents couldn't be bothered to, Pangfua (Zhao's mom) couldn't even bare to look at Xiaotian's face so the last thing she cared for was some random children of him and his mistresses, and Xiaotian's other wifes didn't really care for the children either. However, Zhao ADORED her siblings because she was always good with little kids. But as time went on and on, with so many children coming in to the household she started getting tired, but what could she do? At the time she was barely a teenage girl, if she complained to her father she could legitimately be at risk to lose her head. Like I said, Xiaotian couldn't care less about Zhao, he doesn't give a damn if she likes taking care of her siblings or not.

-Eventually Zhao grew too tired of her family, and decided to leave. This might seem selfish but holy frick, the girlie felt like a maid, and it's not like she doesn't care for her family, it's that they couldn't care less about her. All of her siblings were old enough to take care of each other and the other family members treated them well, why shouldn't she be able to "go live her own life"?

- The first place she went was to a temple dedicated to the Chinese tiger spirit- Hu Ye. The reason she went to him specifically was because he was sort of the protector/symbol of Zhao's family (for context think about how Apollo was the protector of the Trojans in the Iliad), she prayed to him all night, she asked humbly to become a Jade Maiden that serves Guan Yin (because that was probably the best option. Also just so you have context- Hu Ye blessed the girls in Zhao's family with a healing gift. So basically they could heal any illness, wound, missing limb etc...). But to her surprise Hu Ye saw what she did as "unforgiving". You shouldn't leave your family who loves you so much, not cool >:( (cut him some slack tho, whenever to family would worship him they would make them self's seem like the most perfect people ever). And so in short he gave her flaming orange hair so she never forgets that she is a Tiger Maiden (bcz orange=tigers and he just be petty like that bro).

-Eventually she went to the woods but she was found by Lánhūa- a forest spirit. Lánhūa took pity on her and decided to take her in as one of her nymphs. Because Zhao had the healing gift she was a great addition to the palace Lánhūa lived in, Zhao was always the one making sure everyone was healthy and the worst someone suffered was a common cold, and even those wouldn't last long.

-However one day while she was collecting fruits for the palace she stumbled upon a strange noise near a mountain, she went to check what it was and wouldn't you have guessed its good ol' Sun Wukong. The pair fairly quickly became friends, Zhao would often tell him stories and keep him company and Sun (who was under that damn mountain for 346 years by the time he and Zhao met) would listen and tell her his life stories.

-At the early stages of the jttw Monkey actually did try and convince Zhao to come with him and the other pilgrims, she would be the one taking care of Tripitaka and making sure he stays healthy. Zhao refused at first but after some time she agreed. Her and Tripitaka were very close because they were both kinda the "sane ones" of the group and Zhao took her position very seriously. Sanzang eventually noticed that this was a bit weird considering how layed back the other pilgrims were, so he confronted her and Zhao opened up to him. And that's how I'd show her backstory in the book.

So in short: Girl leaves abusive family and prays to god, god makes her a ginger and she gets adopted by a hot forest spirit. A monkey befriends her and convinces her to give free health care to his friend **emotional**

Holy crap that took so long to write/ Notes on how her backstory would probably be changed in the lmk version:

In the lmk version I think they'd tone down how bad her family was just a bit, again it is a kids show. I think the start would generally be the same but that Hu Ye would grant her wish. But instead of a disciple for Guan Yin I think they'd change it into a Peach Maiden, so that she could meet the brotherhood and befriend Wukong like she did in the original backstory. They'd probably remove Lánhūa as well (because she is a very minor character in Zhao's backstory). So yea in short of what I think the creators of LMK would do with her character: -Hu Ye grants her wish of becoming a Peach Maiden. -Orange would be her natural hair color(bcz tigers woo). -I honestly think they'd give her a sort-of survivor's guilt because of the whole "leaving your family" thing instead of "Ama give u tiger hair so you never forget how you left your family >:(" -She meets the brotherhood through their lil' rebellion -Healing powers would probably be toned down a bit so there's still some risk

|Byler and Jancy is Endgame and here is why|

To be clear is just a theory that i had after rewatching St(1-4), so i can be totally wrong, but hear me out.

Let's begin with the Hellfire gang playing D&D in the beginning of season 4. At the end of the game, Eddie says that unfortunately an 11 is not strong enough, it can't beat Vecna, so then Erica rolls the dice and gets a 20, which is a success meaning that El can't win Vecna (she can tho win 001, which she did in a way).

I find it interesting that before the success(20) it was a failure(11)

So where does It leads to Byler and Jancy being Endgame?

Well, In the Hawkins Lab we get to see what really happened, El managed to win 001 with the power of ¿Love? Kinda. We see El's memories which shows her mother saying that she loves El, so instead to using a memory that brings the feelings of anger or sadness, Eleven used one that brought her the theme of love. She was loved by her mother.

Since, i've noticied that the theme love is important in this season, like:

Mike not being able to say he loves El

We have Will loving Mike (finally)

Lumax making peace with each other

Jonathan and Nancy being distant

Steve and Nancy getting closer

Hopper and Joyce meeting again

All the plots in a way leads to this love thing

Also, words always have meanings in stranger things ( bullshit, crazy, crazy together, love...)

I think Stancy is a parallel to M*leven strongly in this season, and Jancy would parallel to Byler, we've got a scene actually of them exactly like a Jancy one

Then, remember Eddie saying that Nancy must love Steve coz she jumped in the water to save him?( She didn't hesitated) It interconnects with all the Mike getting in the front line, worrying about El and literally getting defensive of El sometimes.

Mike does love El, but is just like Nancy loves Steve

Not in a romantic way.

It's also interesting here that both Nancy and Mike never said they loved Steve/El, and that's why there is this rapprochement of Nancy and Steve, it's not because they gonna be together at the end, but because Steve still loves Nancy. Same for Eleven, she loves Mike and there is a need for a closure for the characters to move on.

So it' s a dinamic of Steve loving Nancy romantically, Nancy loving him platonically and Nancy being reciprocal.

It's the SAME thing that's is happening to Mike, El and Will

It's like El = Steve, Mike= Nancy and Will= Jonathan

That's why I think Jancy and Byler is endgame, they are setting this interactions to close the arc that was m*leven and Stancy so they can move on with the finale couples to season 5.

They have to solve this first so they can be finally happy. Same goes to the couples Lumax and Jopper ( that I also think is endgame) they are reuniting, they are solved.

That explains why Mike can't say he loves El, even if he lies it won't save El if she gets vecna'd, but it would save Will 👀

The thing is 11 is a miss. It just won't be.

The Duffers brother said themselves that everything that is going on is planned, so Will liking Mike this season, Mike not being able to say he loves El being brought up this season, Nancy being apart and Stancy acting like a mirror to M*leven this season is not a coincidence.

Coz it's 99% of sure that Will is gonna get Vecna'd, just music is not gonna save him, it's about the feelings too. Vecna targets people with traumas and Max was able to run away not just bcz of the music but because of the good memories of the ones she loves

Both romantically and platonically

Noah also said that Byler is being built up since season 1 and that now it's on it's peak just adds to why Byler is endgame and it's gonna make to S5

I also think Will is way more important than people give him credit for, when he gets the Hawkins shit gonna get crazy( I think he have powers, pls Duffer brothers 🙏)

Well, wrapping it up, I think at the end El will finally learn what love is (even more if she reunites with Hopper) learn what kind of love Mike have towards her and honestly, this season is so self growth to her that I think she's gonna be alright, she needs some alone time, be her own persona.

I think she's gonna love herself more too :) wishing her all happiness, to all characters honestly loves them all.

I just think that if someone dies it will be Eddie :/

u sent this ask like a month ago but smth i saw recently was the theory that to “save mikey” takemichi had to “let go of hina”, making the series finale include hinatas death. which... i get it hinatas not a particularly popular character (tbh none of the girls are ✌️😃) but the idea that she has to compete with mikey over who’s “worth saving” is just stupid. regardless, idk what 2 think abt hinata. it’s probably just wonky writing but at times hinata was almost a paragon of forgiveness kindness etc that it was funny how she had people killing and dying for her. and she heard kisaki was the guy doing all this awful shit and was like “oh yeah tettas just silly like that 😝” GIRL??

as much as emma being sunshiny and content w/ everything is nice it would have been interesting to see her perspective on being in between the toman-tenjiku conflict idk. does she shoulder worries about her family that she doesn’t let on? plus sort of having to ‘grow up fast’ being neglected for much of her childhood (why she noted being ‘lonely’ in that one chapter), a lot of ideas that just went unexplored -_-.

takeomi was curbing senju’s potential but so was wakui bro. she had a whole arc and backstory just to be hit in the head by sanzu and forgotten about i’m still mad about this idk what i expected and i know nothings gonna be done about it now but senju was such a solid character... the balance/inbalance between being seen as an ‘invincible’ leader of brahman vs. just also being a kid, and how in both roles her obstacle was the dark impulse (brahman is like the reincarnation of og black dragons to stop mikey’s bastardization of shinichiro’s vision of ‘age of delinquents’, and how senju blamed herself for sanzu’s mutilation by the hands of mikey) she was a lot more involved with mikeys dark impulse thing than a lot of people let on. im so tired of mikey conversations though so honestly ignore that last part

yuzuha is one of my favorite tr characters she never appears but thats ok i’ll just make shit up and live in delusion. sm stuff abt yuzuha is just so crazy! smth smth yuzuha being so similar yet different from taiju about using violence, “i hate it so much i want it to die but i love my family” & “why would god make me kill my siblings which i love so much?”, both of them emulating their parents but failing etc... but also the yuzuha trivia is good fun. she does archery and girls love her swag. she also hates “good looking guys”. i think about that one a lot. just like me fr (wildly different reasons).

I just thought of something, about what you said about group hugs and Karai earlier, what if they use Miwa to convince Karai to accept hugs and physical affection, since she so obviously needs it? Like, maybe Miwa is being a big fussy, and they say, “she needs some group cuddles”.

Karai would NOT be super on board with the group hugs. She wouldn't understand the point or even like it very much. At first.

Like she knows very well that humans Need Touch and physical affection (we do, actually, babies can Actually Die if they're not given an appropriate amount of physical touch) and she is perfectly happy to give Miwa lots and lots of affection. She has no compunctions or shyness in doing so. She'll blow raspberries in her tummy and not get embarrassed. She also knows that Miwa WILL actually get more benefit from varied social interactions, including physical touch, so is protective of her but perfectly happy to let Miwa have fun playing and snuggling with the others. She actually prefers it- not because she has trouble with contact with Miwa, but because she's made of rock, and rock does not for very good snuggles with babies make. Miwa doesn't particularly care but Karai has noticed she can get little bruises and scrapes sometimes

So Karai is perfectly happy giving Miwa affection but also will encourage the others to give her it too. It's hilarious. She will randomly give you a baby to hug and glare at you if you try to put her down.

But physical affection towards Karai? A whole different ballgame. Karai hasn't gotten much of it in her life and has often in fact associated being touched with being harmed or training. She's fine with contact for training or sport. In fact she likes it, enjoys being able to touch other people with agreed upon rules. It really, really doesn't help that Karai's reaction to random touches with no warning is stabbing or leaping into the ceiling like Spiderman.

You see, the unfortunate thing is trolls are a HUGELY touch based culture. Trolls make contact all the time. Hands, shoulders, nudges, shoves, kicks, cuddles, pressing against someone, and we've seen countless times how important forehead touches are among them. They're even more touchy than humans. They're known to make cuddle piles and they sleep in nests and will randomly climb up to sit on each others shoulders if the size difference allows. They're very, very touchy especially with family

Changelings on the other hand only see touch as a threat. But they also still need it because they are, originally, trolls. Karai is stuck in the awful hell of being both touch starved and touch repulsed. Trust me, that shit's not fun, especially when you haven't yet realized the touch starved part and only know that touch makes you panic like you're dying

And human touches aren't the same as troll touches, so most ways of physical affection the gang show won't be nice at first. It'll take a while before Karai starts to react well to being touched and she probably won't ever react well to hugs bcz that's a lot of restraint. But the gang will totally slowly learn troll physical touch language. Little nudges, leaning, maybe even once Karai gets comfortable enough she might tell them about how trolls typically show affection.

To nobody's surprise, trolls show a lot of affection via roughhousing and fighting. (Raph gets a bit emotional, as she wrestles with him the most) This isn't super great because she's made of rocks and is very hard. They also learn a lot more of the less violent ways and can sloooowly work it into their overall language. Sitting very close, random shoves and nudges, and shoving their way into her personal space in ways that lets her know they're coming so she doesn't get spooked.

The first time she falls asleep around them is very emotional for many many reasons, but partially because she likely latched onto the nearest of them and can't be removed. YOU try having a rock snake assassin latch onto you in her sleep. Do YOU wanna wake her up? No! She's already scratching you on accident! You're not getting scratched because she panicked!

Tbh, turtle piles are probably one of her first more comfortable methods of contact. The turtles already pile together when they're tired and need comfort. Karai hasn't had a nest since she was very little and piled with other changelings for warmth in the Darklands. But once she can get past the anxiety and fear of being trapped... she probably melts

It's a sad fact that she'll likely ALWAYS have the immediate fight or flight reaction to being touched, but there's ways around that and the family is 10000% ready and willing to work with it

I wouldn't say the TCS MC was necessarily looking forward to JK's visits, it was more so just resigned acceptance that she wouldn't be able to do much without him 😬 That's totally up to your own interpretation – either they escape or they don't! But yeah, it would take a miracle for them to be able to escape.

In his own way, he probably likes the MC. But it can't really be compared to the human emotion of "liking" someone/something :)

Hello, how are you doing? I wanted to talk a bit abt my life currently bcz a lot of things are happening in my head and in my life so I wanted to deliver me from it. First of all, school is finished for this year, although I have a last test on wednesday, its a french oral and it upsets me so much bcz we have to learn the analysis of 20 texts and you will only have to tell one to the jury, totally useless but its a part of the points of the baccalauréat, a very important exam. I am upset because I am one of the last to take the test and also because I see everyone else studying. I suffer from anxiety and its makes me feel bad. However, I know how my brain work, I am always productive on the last minute. Concerning school, I have a problem. If you were here in september and if youve paid attention to my post, I said that we had 3 subjects to choose and these subjects are our main for the baccalauréat. I have chosen english, art and humanity. For the last year of school, you have to leave one of these subjects, and I choose to leave humanity bcz art was my plan for the future and i feel great in english. this choice was made at the beginning of the year in my head and there was no prob abt it , however, I used to love my art teacher a lot but suddenly, she started to be really rude but i a “gentle” way. She was passive agressive and me I tried to deal with this teacher and my constant anxiety and it was so hard. I fainted twice bcz of her. She was so in contradiction with her own word and it never helps students to progress. The story behind this is very long so im going short. I choose to keep this subject via an important website and the week later, I had a big anxiety crisis bcz of her and I give her a letter to say how bad I feel with her and she started to tell that i don’t need to keep art with the studies I want to do. I was in shock bcz i already choose what I wanted to leave. However now I have a meeting with someone of the school to discuss abt it and my choice is already made. Now I would like to do dance studies bcz I do dance since 2013 and I always loved that. This year was my last wth my teacher since the beginning and it is so sad because the school made him quit. Moreover, they want to change the job and to close some classes and these classes are the one that concern me :,). Now i am enrolled to the best dance school in my city and a lot of people started to say crap abt my school ( it is a music and dance school) and they used to criticize my dance teacher like it was his fault, and i felt so bad for him because he didnt wanted to finish like this.

HE IS LITERALLY THE LOVE CHILD OF HAN SEOJUN AND LEE SUHO don't tell me i'm wrong because i am RIGHT. he looks super intimidating and acts so confident just like han seojun but soon enough we find out both of them are just cute boys that deserve all the love in the world💔💔 and like suho, gunwook is academically smart and comes off as intimidating but he's just a lil awkward that's all.

and then we have your bias as kang chul from w two worlds. they're both the main characters from their shows and. idk. hanbin just fits the vibe toooooo much. he would be SO cool as an agent or whatever tf kang chul was but yeah millionaire hanbin, rlly smexy🤧 he cared so much for his friends and family, it's just. ugh. perfect.

and lastly, the last member is jiwoong but it's probably not as accurate. kang taemoo. FULL STOP - here's the full story lmfao

Day 1 - I meet a nice black man, gives me the ropes of the "new" city. Looks like a upstanding guy, and kinda cute. But like everyone else (unless they drink) he's doing down and uppers. Sad but it is what it is. I digress. So me, him and another chick were chilling at the front of the shelter. This crazy broad was screaming at us (jealous bcz she liked that black guy, no I didn't sleep with him. He was cute, and kind sure, but I'd rather have him sober and get to know him some. So no, if u were just nosey, it's not that) she was hollering at us something like (in a offensive tone) I'm not pregnant! Who said I was pregnant?! I took 2 pregnancy tests blah blah blah and I'm not pregnant. And then around that time I noticed she was talking about/to us, bcz he had replied something like "they weren't even talking to you" I thought/said "wait, I just got here I'm not talking about you for sure" she probably mumbled something and stopped.
