Amazing thought I just had about Airplane. Okay, so we all know that Binghe (at least at first) was a bit of a self insert for him and we all know that Mobei-Jun is his exact type. We also know that he told Cucumber at the end that their version of the story was more what he actually wanted his novel to be. So what if his original plans for Proud Immortal Demon Way was never a stallion novel, but rather a bl between Mobei-Jun and Lou Binghe?

I feel like it could pretty easily flow from the plans he built up. Nothing before their first meeting would even need to change and their first meeting has Mobei-Jun, despite being bigger, older, and more experienced, now as Binghe’s subordinate, so there’s tons of power play dynamics there. Plus they’re both rather indestructible, so the whole demons flirt via pain thing would work very well with the two of them. And we could delve into their tragic backstories, take revenge, meet Binghe’s dad, and just otherwise have lots of intense and emotionally charged adventures that would clearly eventually lead to sexy times.

So that’s Airplane’s original plans, but then he starts catering to his fans when it’s not popular enough and starts making little changes here and there. And then Airplane is like “that’s fine, he can be bi,” and starts creating more straight sexual tension. And he keeps fighting with it until eventually his laptop crashes and he loses his outline and just gives up and makes Binghe straight. And then it’s just all downhill from there.

And by this point, Binghe’s not much of a self insert anymore. (Bonus angst points if Shang Qinghua was created to be a less flattering self inset as a means of punishing himself for betraying his story). But Mobei-Jun stays as the Mobei-Jun Airplane always saw him as, but now he perpetually stays single and lonely.

So when he’s sucked into his novel and becomes Shang Qinghua, he’s then left with a little bit of a choice between doing nothing and staying alive, trying to get Mobei-Jun for himself, and trying to hook up Mobei-Jun with Binghe. Cucumber showing up solidified it as the second (and probably his favorite) option. So when the ending was fixed, it really was fixed closer to what he wanted, just with Mobei-Jun and Binghe in separate gay relationships instead of the same one.

Oh god… I have. So many thoughts about all of these. I’m a Slytherin/Hufflepuff so double houses are definitely an option

Geto: Before his mental breakdown I could see him as a Ravenclaw, after Breakdown he’s a pure Slytherin. He’s smart and level headed, tbh all Sorcerer’s could probably be Gryffindors but Geto just doesn’t feel Headstrong like that.

Gojo: it feels kinda basic to say he’s a Gryffindor, but I genuinely can’t see anything else?

Yuuji: I mean, he’s a Hufflepuff and a Gryffindor, obviously. Loyal to a fault, headstrong and brave
