precious fan/concept thumbnails

people liked my cynosura thumbnails and i actually did these ones awhile back but never posted them. once more most will be below the cut, because there's 10 videos worth (so, 20 pics total). i'm personally really proud of the last one in particular.

for anyone who doesn't know, precious was my former shade OC who was also a sonal energetic pre-death for the sole purpose of me wanting a banshee. she was meant to be a listener character and as such does not have a real name yet... i'll have to come up with one.

The swirls here are sort of a twist on the shadow part of shades and the idea of fog rolling off of water. Plus, it lends itself well to...some adjustments, which will be obvious :-)

if I had a nickel for every time I made a Spider-Man au based off a video game, I'd have three nickels, which isn't a lot but it's concerning that it's happened three times. This au is the spidey/final fantasy vii mashup, where Peter becomes the Unreliable Narrator

the BIGGEST dilemma(s) was figuring out if I should

A) keep the eyes in my art style (no colours, just the highlight), bc ngl it makes him seem more babey (pic 1),,, or

B) add the mako-glow to the eyes so i could be lore-accurate.... also I spent a lot of time!! on colouring in those pixels!!!!! dammit!!!!!!!!! (pic 2) and

C) OF COURSE i was struggling to choose between the white and red backgrounds!!!!! evil me!!!!!!! making difficult creative decisions!!!!!!

i will,,,, try to draw the other peeps as well (mj as tifa and gwen as aerith ,,, mmm yesss esysey yes ssss) but i fear the monkey brain has already died........ i will try tho,,,,,,,,,,

Sooo… this was mostly meant as an attempt to practice a more dynamic pose. I am a writer. I’ve been teaching myself how to draw for two years and it’s not consistent and it’s a slow process so obviously it’s not that great. But I’m still super proud of it despite that. And I didn’t bother with a background because IbisPaint had this one pre-loaded and it was 1:30AM by the time I finished this

“Except whenever he’s (Leo’s) pissed, then he listens (to Prime)” (referring to the post-possession ask)- care to elaborate??? What are some examples? Like one of Leo’s brothers gets injured by the villain-of-the-week, Prime encourages Leo to beat the villain into a pulp (because they know Leo won’t kill), and Leo is so pissed he can’t tell that it’s Prime speaking to him and not his own thoughts/he doesn’t care? Or would it be smaller things? I don’t see Leo as getting angry that easily unless his family is hurt but would love to know more of your thoughts on this!

it's an intrusive thoughts/devil on your shoulder type deal babyyyy!!

prime may no longer be a problem, but they're still a very powerful being. even though they don't longer have any control over leo anymore doesn't mean they can't still talk to him. leo just finds it easier to ignore them unless he's pissed the fucking hell off

which is....not an easy feat to do, even if his emotional state post-movie/prime isn't at its best

as much as he wants to go ham on any and all bad guys that hurt his family, said family is the reason he doesn't listen since they'll ignore any injury to try and get leo to ignore what prime is saying for his sake

(after me and @ike-mcswains-mortician spent like an hour or more sobbing over them) these will not be coherent in ANY way btw ALSO me and lea came up with a name for shade witch which is Skaoi which means shadow in norse :] so I switch between the two! ALSOOO this is kind of some of the aasimars and aunties au that me and lea are cooking sooo yeah not all makes sense hehe

Do you think Shade Witch sees Erin’s face in the wood of Oakvale. No since they’re all the same, all the same bark patterns and lines which Erin always complained about. Skaoi could trace the trees wood in her sleep after she spent days tracing it, trying to engrave it in her memory. After days of her not hearing from Erin at the end of the world, the world was red and it cast blood red light on the trees and Skaoi’s hands and face. The same blood red of the flesh tomb she found Erin in, the same red of Erin’s blood that dripped onto the ground.

The sun finally lights up the sky, no longer dousing Skaoi in blood red, washing away her hands and face of the blood red, basking her in bright light. Her business was booming again and everything was well, the trees were still the same as ever but she could now see new trees in the horizon. All she could say when she met Erin was ‘Woah’ and now that’s all she could say looking up at the sky, blue instead of red and clouds speckling the sky like snow.

Erin sits in heaven, her witch hat dipped over her eyes, protecting her from the sun and so nobody could see her tears. ‘Woah’ she heard Shade Witch say, and she smiled.
