And my own personal Human!Monkeys AU! In this au, the team all went to an international preschool run by the Alchemist, which was shut down when he went crazy and gave all his students cybernetic implants. The kids were separated by their parents after that, and they were all raised back in their home countries. Antauri Naidoo is a South African man of Indian descent, who spent his teens in the Himalayas. Mandrin is a Mongolian man who grew up to be a warrior, one of those guys who rides a motorcycle in traditional armor (and is incredibly proud to be a direct descendant of Genghis Khan). Doctor Haleef Abduhl Gibson is an Islamic man who studied abroad in London, married an English Collegiate to keep his green card, and then kept the surname after their amicable divorce. Otto Ornellas is a Portuguese mechanic who helps his family run a restaurant in America. Kim Nova is a punk-rock Korean lady who’s into K-Pop and Boxing, and rebels against traditional gender norms (though she does still partake in the more spiritual/grounded aspects of her home culture). Sprx Lee is an American-Asian dude who is culturally more American than Asian, who probably grew up in like Kansas or Ohio or someplace rural like that - he earned his flying license at 14 and flies planes with his uncle.

After some sort of global event, like an alien invasion or something, they discovered the previously dormant cybernetic abilities, and found eachother to save the world! After that, they all fought as a team for many years, traveling the world to hone their abilities and keep the Earth safe from danger.

But one day, after a catastrophic event that almost went sideways, Mandrin started gaining more political aspirations. It wasn’t too bad at first - the team in fact encouraged their leader, proud of him for his attempts to use policies to keep people safe - until word got out that he was using his powers to threaten his political opponents. That he had plans for global domination, reasoning to himself that “the world must be United in order to protect itself from extraterrestrial threats!” That he would do ANYTHING to protect the planet he called his home. Even if it meant hurting his friends.

The team ended up having to arrest him for breaking the Geneva Convention.

They kept protecting the Earth, and eventually there was a child named Chiro. Not one of their kids, mind you, but a latchkey kid from a wealthy family who hung around them. Eventually the team sort of... unofficially adopted this kid. Teaching him how to defend himself, sharing their cultures with him, taking care of him. One day they met with the kid’s wealthy and neglectful parents, and they all decided to make the team Chiro’s official guardians. So Chiro grew up with the Hyperforce, and basically the events of the rest of the show happen, but on Earth and with humans instead of monkeys.

I just want to say that I really, really love your SGemMTHFG AU. It has been my favorite SRMTHFG AU. Will you be coming back to it anytime soon?

Anyway, this was a ‘draw the OTP’ challenge from here made by @snuffysbox. This was a bit of a challenge anatomy wise but overall I love how it turned out...and I don’t think it looks half bad ;3

Arrow is a Watermelon Tourmaline, while Charlie is a Sapphire. (Sapphire because of her foresight abilities!)

I decided to create something for @jigokuhana and the Gem AU she created! This is Amblygonite 1.0. A fusion of Gem AU Gibson and Gem AU Citrine. Sparx/Spinel and SkeleMandarin/Carnepearl Fusion

Carnepearl- Oh, and this will defeat Black Diamond for good this time!?  Spinel-…

Carnepearl-Face it you Clod, we’re both doomed! You’ll never defeat Black Diamond! It’s been milennia, how much more can you keep going!? Can you really handle another millennia or even more of all this!? 

Spinel-I-…

Carnepearl- And I know I’ll never be free from Black Diamond and Covelite. One way or another I can’t do this alone. I’m nothing but a defective experiment! And you are nothing but way in over your gem!  Spinel isn’t able to argue back and just let’s it out Spinel-I-I. Falls to his knees-I’m at my limit. We’ve lost so much and-and. I just CAN’T! Begins to cry, Carnepearl looks at him, tired with a bit of sympathy. But then has a thought,

Carnepearl-…we can’t. Atleast not by ourselves. But maybe we can help eachother. Spinel looks at him, surprised-W-what?

Carnepearl- Or atleast we won’t be going without a fight! It’s clear we are both at our limits and just want this clustercycle of a life to end! Fuse with me! 

Spinel-…But my team-

Carnepearl- Are doomed if you don’t make a call quick. Please. Let’s end this once and for all. Reaches his hand out to him.

Spinel-…takes his hand and fuses. I’m sorry guys, I’m just so tired. 

So with permission from @jigokuhana, and after some extensive research into the series (as I haven’t really watched it yet, but I’m now interested) I decided to create a SGemMTHFG version of Turkesa (And yes he does have an undercut)! In this AU he is known as Kyanite, one of the few remaining Kyanite gems, though specifically his gem has the Hawk’s eye pattern (which I love). I haven’t exactly come up with much for him specifically (like how he joins the teams and such) but I do have an idea of what to write for the Kyanite gems (and how this one woke up).

Kyanite gems in society were considered mid-low class, their psychokinetic abilities primarily used for construction and the transportation of objects. Kyanite gems were known to be quiet and observatory, the later of which was almost required for the duties they had to partake in. However, once the war had begun, their psychokinetic abilities had shown just how lethal and effective it could be in the field of battle. During the war, Kyanite gems were near the front lines, providing cover and situation advantages as they could in a small way, bend the environment to their will. As a result, the status of Kyanite gems had risen in the social class, soon being among the high class gems (but not the elite). However, this changed when one Kyanite gem had changed sides, it was then the higher powers had realized just how dangerous psychokinetic abilities were. And so, they had made sure to poof and contain many Kyanite gems as to regulate how many were conscious at a time.

Back on Shuggazoom, there were some of the Kyanite gems that were left behind while contained, most unable to escape their captivity. But in a distant place, one’s cage had cracked, and eventually malfunctioned, setting free the lone Kyanite inside. Upon awakening, and creating his physical form, this one Kyanite was confused, lonely, yet irresistibly curious of his environment.

About his design: Yeah, the belt is so that he has a kind of tail, his gem is located on his left pectoral, and his general outfit I based off of Jedi.... I really like how he came out,

Pietersite busts onto the scene!!!! His plans usually look like they’re not going to work and then they fall together with perfect mathematical precision and he just *pops collar*. Insufferable. Argues w/ himself a lot. Not used to being Big, which is both hilarious and accidentally destructive. (Benotoite seems like he would be reluctant to fuse (especially w/ Spinel), though after the all shit starts to happen it’s probably Spinel who’s reluctant to fuse.)

Citrine/Captain Shuggazoom is a-okay!!! Just got stepped on by accident

Was really thinking about the SGemMTHFG AU, & I honestly have to thank the SU Movie for introducing the rejuvenator to us. Otherwise I’d have to actually think of my own way for the team to lose their memories of Black Diamond/The Alchemist. ^^;

Don’t worry though, he modified it to only erase memories of himself from the team. Citrine/Captain Shuggazoom basically takes the place of Pearl from SU in regards to keeping the major secret of a Diamond he’s not under an ‘order’ though.

Still working kinks out in the plot regarding corruption, but Black Diamond was experimenting using sound frequencies that the other Diamonds used to corrupt other gems. The experimenting sadly starts to corrupt him, but just more slowly than other gems because he’s a Diamond.

Sunstone Fusion

SRMTHFG GEM AU CREATED AND DESIGNED BY @jigokuhana

I wanted an excuse to make a fanmade Mandarin + Chiro fusion, a scenario where they would fuse willingly.  Like I explained in the description of this comic 

some point, when he's fully healed, and the Hyperforce and their ship is under attack, it crashes on a hostile foreign planet overrun with Black Diamond's dark energy....... Chiro and Carnelian constantly fight as leader to figure out a way to rescue the other monkey team members. At some point, Chiro realizes they both need to work together if they ever hope to successfully save the Hyperforce and their ship to be able to leave the planet, and suggests a fusion. Carnelian at first scoffs and says he'd never fuse with a human hybrid. They still get at odds with eachother until they get stuck in the midst of a battle and barely manage to escape when they realize they're outnumbered and outgunned.

I imagined Carnelian’s fusion dance to be Erisioni / performance style of the Georgian Khorumi dance! 

and Chiro I see him as a Mambo Show Dancer!

Sunstone is decisive, quick-willed, and slightly tempered. His fusion is the most stable when there is a job to be done, or a mission to be completed. He tends to be very bossy, one who only sees the goal in front of him. He is quite smart, but can seem a little heartless at times, for his mind is at odds when it comes to the well being of others. Chiro's side of the fusion does his best to convince Sunstone that sacrificing friends / "chess pieces" (according to Mandarin) is not affordable in their situation. So Sunstone must force himself to help others despite wanting nothing more than to neglect his "pawns". Perhaps, over time, if Mandarin ever comes back to the team and learns about friendship and teammates once more, perhaps Sunstone could actually become...the true ultimate leader. When the goal has been reached, Sunstone will finally unfuse. Don't get him wrong, he almost craves his existence, the power and authority feels boundless to him, but it can get him carried away, and that bothers Chiro. His Carnelian side, although loving the power drive, still has his pride, and dislikes being a fusion for too long, especially with a leader he may butt heads with quite often... he sees it as a threat to his own authority, perhaps a spike of jealousy over the fusion he and Chiro created. So for now, as far as they're both concerned, Sunstone is strictly business.
