Since high school I’ve always carried a camera with me, and in 1973 as I walked to class @ucsc I saw Angela Davis walking nearby. Of course I asked if I might make a photograph of her, and she was very patient with a young, naïve, entitled, white hippy kid. I love the entire process involved in making photographs, even spotting, and especially sending a print off to a new home @sfplbookarts @sfpubliclibrary There are some of my photographs that I think should be part of an historical collection, and since I’m partial to libraries, the San Francisco Main Library has kindly accepted a few of my prints. It doesn’t seem possible that this image was made nearly 50 years ago. Today marks Professor Davis’ 79th birthday.
