Color Consistency painting 🖼️ i took photos at the same location @ 3 different times of day. I figured I’d get bored doing the same location so I figured a location with the most changes would be a natural one, specially the beach because of the ebb and flow of the tide and lack of artificial lighting. Here’s the first painting “Night: 6:34pm @ Ocean Beach, Sf” based off 2 photos (slide 2 & 9-which is bending the rules) oops 🙊 The main objective is to color-match, so students are asked to print the photos then trace the outlines of the imagery using transfer paper so they can focus on color mixing and not form recreation. Also using a grey card with a hole punch focus on individual colors from the original image to their mixed colors. You can see the color differences from the original photo in slide 2 from the print out in slide 3.
