Hi everyone!!
I just wanted to hop onto the main today and make a little post saying thank you to all of our members past and present for being a part of this group and helping us make it to the major milestone of being open for one whole year!!
That's right today is Gods and Monsters' 1 year mark of being open! A major, major milestone for any group! As of right now, the group at its 1st birthday is sitting at 20 members and 57 characters! We are seeing whole families get filled out, and tons of wonderful connections between our characters forming, something that at this major milestone could not make me happier!!
We also have A LOT of fun things coming everyone's way! Including engagements, weddings, betrayals, more secret romances, and a MAJOR MAJOR plot update that is going to shake up our story!
If any of this sounds interesting or fun to you, PLEASE send in an app as soon as possible! We would love to have you and any character you can think of!

NEVERMOREUNI is a MATURE 18+ LITERATE DISCORD RP that explores the lives of canon characters and original characters following the events of NETFLIX’S WEDNESDAY in a HIGHER EDUCATION setting. As of now, we are planning to open in Late February. Keep reading for the plot and some of our most wanted canon characters!
The students of Nevermore Academy have completed their final year at the school and now find themselves in search of higher education. They’ve all grown tired of Jericho’s boring atmosphere, and the unpleasant memories tied to its grounds - getting far away from Vermont is the one and the only thing on many people’s minds.
However, before they had the chance to apply to other colleges, the headmaster gathered them in the courtyard and made a chilling announcement. Two years prior, all students were required to take a survey filled with several questions, one of which asking if they would be interested in continuing their studies with Nevermore. It’s brought to their attention that, by popular demand, Nevermore University had open applications, and made it sickeningly easy for the academy alumni to attend.
Naturally, many students gravitated to this new place, and our roleplay begins on orientation day: AUGUST 28TH, 2025.

Hogsmeade, 1981. After a battle on Halloween of 1980, Dumbledore and Voldemort were both incapacitated by a spell gone awry. Almost one year later and neither of them have woken up, leading both sides of the war to be left unsure of their next move. The Death Eaters start petty fights to taunt, to distract, and the Order rises to the bait every time, putting out the fires started. The longer it goes on though, some people from both sides are starting to question their place in this war and if they're on the right side at all. Without Dumbledore and Voldemort there to lead, to demand, some have begun to stray, becoming friendly with their opponents, their former classmates, and some have defected entirely. Those who have remained faithful though can only wonder: Who will wake up first and claim their victory?

WELCOME TO THE MET GALA
Fashion’s most important night happens now. The theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” — with a dress code of Gilded Glamour. The exhibition will see Andrew Bolton, head curator of the Museum of Modern Art’s Costume Institute, focus on inclusivity in fashion.
“Who gets to be American?” was a question posed at Prabal Gurung’s show, and it will be addressed at the Met Gala 2022, too.
Its hosts include Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will serve as the night’s official co-chairs, while designer Tom Ford, Instagram’s Adam Mosseri, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour will continue as honorary co-chairs.
An evening of culture and celebration awaits ahead — so put your best shoes on, and enjoy the night.
OOC INFORMATION
This is a mini event. We want to give members the opportunity to participate in something in case they want to do write for the occasion, but without the stricter set-up of a usual event.
Because this is a mini event, it will be a single-part event — so members are encouraged to plot within themselves what their characters will be up to during the evening.
IC, the event takes place on the night of May 2nd, and into the early hours of May 3rd.
As it is a mini-event, members aren’t required to pause non-event threads during this period, and it is not mandatory to participate. If you want to ‘ignore’ the MET gala and simply continue with your regular threads as usual, there is no problem in doing so.
We encourage you to plot with your fellow players any plots and/or conflicts that may happen. For conflicts or any high-impacting plots, please do make sure to quickly message the main page (not discord) about it first. As always, should there be any questions or need of assistance with any plots, please feel free to contact the admins and we’ll be happy to help you. You can find further information for particular character groups down below.
INFORMATION
Celebrity and high-profile characters would have received an invitation to attend the MET gala. They are welcome to walk the red carpet if they wish, but aren’t required to. All those with an invitation also get to bring a plus one.
Non-high profile characters would only attend the party inside. They could be there as someone else’s plus one, through work (for media and law enforcement characters, for example), or any reasons you think would work!
If you want your character to attend, but you don’t think they would be invited as it is a highly prestigious event, we encourage you to suspend some disbelief so that it can happen! If you need any help at all coming up with scenarios where they would be there, feel free to contact an admin. <3
DRESS CODE + CHALLENGE
The dress code on the night, summarised on the coveted invitations as gilded glamour, white tie. Expect gowns worthy of sweeping period epics like The Age of Innocence, or a scene from The Gilded Age, as A-list guests, from the Kardashian-Jenners to the Hadid sisters, do their best to embody the grandeur of the New York of the late 19th century. Expect jewel tones, over the top textures, and at least one bustle.
We challenge our members to post the outfits their characters will be wearing — it can be as simple or as elaborate as you’d like!

sinistrahq will be a supernatural academy RP inspired by the themes and aesthetics of dark academia, Vampire Academy, Underworld, and some elements of Legacies. This roleplay will focus on the dark themes associated with the supernatural and dark academia genre, and is not intended for the light-hearted. a small town with a population of less than three thousand, nestled comfortably at the foot of the black mountains in north carolina, clydesferry has always been chock full of rumors and rot, the truth being censored to be more digestible and to protect the history of the land and the mountains. erected atop the converging ley lines that lead into a hellmouth at the heart of the mountains, the town had long since been a point where mortals, myths and magic collided, and the people of clydesferry protect the secrets of their town more fiercely than a bear protects her cubs, but with so much death plaguing the founding families since the early 2000s and with whispers of ghostly spectres being sighted, the town now plays host to federal law and ghost hunters alike all while the witches attempt to make peace with the disrupted energies that dwell within the mountain, yawning with hunger.
goryfms is a semi - appless original character roleplay based within the southern gothic subgenre, drawing inspiration from cult classics, pieces of media and tried and tested tropes found in the subgenre.

What is the ratio roughly between discord and dash rp?
Hi! What a great question! I know this varies between players, like personally, I do 100% of my threads on Discord, BUT I would say for the entire group it's about 90% Discord, 10% Dash. This month our players who prefer dash threads were just a little busier than usual and so didn't get as much done there.
That being said I LOVE the dash for reblogging aesthetics, fcs, and ask memes !!

In the beginning, there was violence and chaos. The beauty of the new world was marred with the crimson of the slain and the anguished cries of those left behind. For centuries, the turbulence waged with alliances constantly shifting between species as warfare continued. Until the Faeries intervened and the Inter-Realm Treaty was signed. It fashioned the birth of the new world that followed, Lume Noua.
Seven realms were created, each led by a different species in newly established noble houses across the realms, and set the tone and culture of their new civilizations - one built on the foundation of the peace treaty. Centuries later, in the year, 2600, the Inter-Realm Treaty expired. And a new realm, The Dark World, has risen in public opposition of Lume Noua’s current political order. Will Lume Noua repeat its history and origin story? Will the world as the various beings know it transform, yet again?
LumeNouaRP is an original character, fantasy based royal roleplay set in a supernatural world.
