Self Aware Au, Clotted Cream Cookie x Reader x Affogato Cookie.

The Consul Arrives.

Affogato was sitting on a bench near the soda lake you made, it’s waters still sparkling but now with some new little Licorice Oozelings you took a liking to. He compiled his thoughts together in one large coherent mass, today was the new council update but you had yet to check on them, he saw Dark Cacao and some others leave for a while along with gaining new memories of a Crunchy Chip Cookie that he didn’t have before. All he knew is that when they returned Dark Cacao was both very angry, distraught in a way, but resolute about a decision.

Then he heard of HIM, this new Clotted Cream Cookie who similar ancients and legendaries got his own special gacha in the events.

Already Affogato didn’t like him, if his suspicions were correct…that blasted cookie could steal his Fortuna away from him! He can’t allow that to happen, he wants to be the one you look at and enjoy, not whoever Clotted Cream Cookie was!

As you logged in your eyes light up at the new update, the new cookies, you couldn’t wait to get them and try them out! Especially Clotted Cream Cookie, he looked really cool and interesting. His smile reminded you of Affogato in a way….Affogato, if he was seemingly self-aware…were the other cookies as well?

Honestly you were a bit nervous to find out, so…you simply just did the missions for Clotted Cream’s event. You saved up for a few weeks and even got Wildberry from the normal gacha in the process. You had noticed that Affogato was oddly not as talkative or acknowledging as he used to be…almost like he was busy or thinking about something a lot. Or was he angry with you?

It didn’t matter at the moment, with a decent number of emblems saved you decided to do a run of Clotted’s gacha. Coins, Rainbow cubes, House emblems, etc. Then, during your last 5 pull it zoomed in on Clotted Cream. You…couldn’t believe it as his gacha animation played and there you were staring at your new magic cookie.

You quickly checked your kingdom and saw him walking around observing the new sights...

“Well, hello there Clotted Cream...” You tapped his sprite; he turned and did a little bow.

“Hello dear Baker, it’s lovely to finally be welcomed to your kingdom.”

Oh…oh no…

Clotted Cream looked up at your face in the sky, a light chuckle escaped his mouth when he saw your reaction. So, you were the baker, the god of this kingdom. He heard of you from the other cookies talking about you, so much praise and love directed towards the one who looked over everything and now he got to see you for himself. You even greeted him when he arrived, how polite~.

He felt a burning gaze towards his back and when he turned, he saw another cookie, this one was dressed in a white, black, and purple kimono while holding an interesting staff. Ah yes, this must be the snake Dark Cacao compared him to. He gave a little wave which only made the glare on the cookie darker, okay another time then.

He continued on his way while Affogato seethed and glared at the consul. Jealous struck him hard and it struck him even more as time continued.

You managed to promote Clotted Cream twice, leveled him and his skill up to where he was getting close to Affogato’s level in power. The cookie mix didn’t miss this, nor did he miss Clotted Cream’s change in behavior towards you. He saw it in the consul’s eyes, the same admiration he held for you. No no no, he can’t let him take you away! You’re HIS dear Fortuna, you’re the only reason he manages to wake with a smile anymore! Your love for all cookies, of all flavors, he can’t lose that!

Clotted cream certainly noticed the jealousy and took some petty pride in giving Affogato a smug grin whenever you were playing, so he couldn’t just run up and attack him in a rage or anything.

The consul loved gazing up at your face and hated being on Expedition duty as it just kept him away from you. He wanted to be by your side in your world or have you here with him…such seemed to be impossible but there had to be a way….Just something about your appearance, your personality, everything, it was all so appealing to him.

“You there, Consul Clotted Cream Cookie correct~?” Said Affogato’s voice, with barely constrained anger.

“Ah, Affogato Cookie, please no need for Honorifics. What brings you here to speak with me?” He replied with that same smile remaining on his face.

"I need to speak with you about Fortuna, I'm going to have to politely ask you to STOP trying to take my place~. You’re not worth my dearest’s affection so don’t even begin to think you are, trust me, I am capable of A LOT of ‘tricks’ consul and I’m not afraid to glitch this game if it means you’ll disappear.” His eyes took on a hollow and deadly look. “TAKE my warning seriously, you’ll only…get it once~.”

With that Affogato turned and left Clotted Cream alone in the kingdom park. Affogato was determined to keep his dearest close, to have your love only directed towards him. He smiled and shuddered with utter joy, he couldn’t wait for you to wake the next day and continue on expanding your lovely kingdom.

Clotted Cream Cookie on the other hand watched him silently as he left. His face was blank for a moment as he was processing the information, before he chuckle and that grin spread yet again. Affogato thinks it’ll be that easy? Well Clotted Cream has dealt with his type before, he’s not unfamiliar to dirty tricks and plots. One of his coat ribbons pointed at a rather hidden oak tree, was a small blast of magic he burned your name into the bark with a heart around it. A little cheesy yes but why not go for it~? Plus, it’s a nice to bit of spite towards Affogato for threatening him like that.

“Heheheheh, alright Affogato Cookie…let’s see who’ll win this game for the Baker’s affections. I’m quite excited to see your moves my friend~.”

Hey I saw your art style and stuff and I liked it so I wanted to ask...can you do a y/n and affogato cookie? He is my top favorite! Also thinking of..if you want any specific ideas...maybe of them cuddling/hugging?

I’m REALLY sorry if I took a while to complete this request, because I was busy with college and all that, so here you go! ^_^ sorry if its half assed, I felt a bit too unmotivated but I did it anyway.

Bonus:

Affogato was haughtily hugging your body to his side, as you both sat together when both of his arms had a not too firm grip on your body.

You slightly sweated ever lightly as he casually held onto a conversation with you… about how one day he will successfully overthrow the king this time and you will be by his side as a monarchy as well. It was unsettling about how his voice was calm and sensual from a topic like that.

But you kept listening to his potential plans as you also hugged his body, surprisingly warm. When you wrapped your arms around him, he let out a small giggle as he kept speaking.

Bake It till You Make It

I’m well aware “Baker” is also a label used for the reader for some writers and their self-aware fics lol. Got some inspiration from some of @yandere--stuck ‘s CR posts. Cannibalism warning for this one

The Sugar Gnomes were glad to announce to you that they were opening the seasonal cake shop to the cookies of the kingdom! They feel like the cookies would be very pleased if it were you running the shop, you were already endeared in the kingdom, so this cake shop deal would seek to further do that!

Oh! Seems there’s already a huge line waiting for opening time as you were under the admiring and affectionate gaze of the cookies watching you enter.

You quickly got the hang of the whole cake making process and made sure the ones you made absolutely suited the cookies’ needs. It brightened your day to see your fellow cookies visibly enjoy the cakes you made as they enthusiastically took bites out of them. The reviews that came in were nothing but stellar, brimming with praise of your cake making skills!

“This is pretty good! Well worth the trip! Me and you should go sailing some time, Y/N!”

“His majesty smiled after having this cake. It's been so long since he smiled...Thank you, Y/N Cookie. Your cake has brought me relief. You’re always welcome in the Dark Cacao Kingdom..”

“This is definitely worth investing. I will be sending an envoy in the near future. Let us talk business, shall we Y/N Cookie? The Republic will greatly welcome a talented baker like you.”

Business was bustling, but it was also partially just so the cookies would see you again. Conversation as you made the cakes was common, but it made the cookies waiting in line annoyed as they wanted their turn to speak to you too! There was also some disputes with cookies in line trying their best to be the first ones in the shop, with arguments over cutting the line also occurring often, but for your sake, they didn’t push past the point that would lead to a screaming match.

Cookies that were repeat customers had brought their own confectionaries too to gift you! It ranged from cupcakes, beverages, and even their own cakes..oddly flavored the same as the flavoring the cookie gifting you it had. Affogato sundae, a large cup of cocoa, a dish of eclairs, carrot cake, blackberry soufflé, Black raisin muffins, a mint choco cake, it goes on!

The cookies were also either hiding themselves a bit or are dressed up to avoid showing any part of their bodies, you thought it was odd that Blackberry was wearing quite a lot of winter clothing covering up her arms completely as she gifted you her soufflé, watching you in anticipation and with a hint of suppressed excitement as you took a bite of it.

She was more then pleased to hear that you enjoyed the soufflé she made, that you enjoyed her. She probably will leave out the part where she removed bits and pieces of her hands to make the soufflé, but if it was for you, it was worth it.

Don’t worry about Raisin covering up her head today with winter caps, it totally wasn’t because she used parts of her hair to make those muffins!

Why is Cocoa hiding her arm behind her? Don’t worry about it, but please enjoy the large cup of cocoa she made for you!

Affogato wearing a heavy coat covering his torso is odd? He just decided to wear one today! Please enjoy the sundae he made for you and don’t pay attention to the missing section of his torso as he hurried off!

The cakes you make are absolutely wonderful, cakes that had a sense of you in them as they ate. It’s only fair they make something of theirs to feed you with in return.

Don’t worry, they can heal off the missing parts..and once they do, they plan on doing it again in the future…

I'm a sucker for cookierun self-aware headcanon, I found my own uniqueness in this AU so let me discuss what has been into my head lately

Warn : all of this entire work is only a headcanon/somehow not real, bad eng

• Player, or who we can call Baker, has full power over their own kingdom.

• Imagine, characters like affogato cookie or shadow milk cookie want to take over our kingdom, but baker looking at them like "not today" and quickly stops them before they can act, and they, cookies, realize that they won't be able to take over 'this' kingdom easily.

• Cookie, who was sleeping soundly, the next day was like "why is my house here... I'm very sure last night my house was over there ..." because Baker was able to magically change the position of their cookie houses

• Cookies, who immediately felt goosebumps when the Baker sniffed them and said "It looks like you're made of flour, eggs, sugar and a few percent of (ingredients in making those cookies)"

• "Is this edible?" *lick* "B-BAKER THAT'S OUR HOUSE, PLEASE BEHAVE!"

Okay I've been home for like 4-5 hours but I got caught up in playing the new Kirby game and got all the Waddle Dees and gem stages of the first world so let me see if I can uhh. Y'know. Explain my thing with Affogato.

So I've been rather aware of the fact that my interpretation of Affogato himself is a lot less about Affogato as a character and moreso in regards to how he is in relation to Dark Cacao. Of course, Dark Cacao's probably my favorite Cookie Run character, so that's sort of a given--but then I sort of started thinking a bit more into depth about why that is.

After all, my interpretations of pretty much any other character is rather complex. Madeline is conspiring against the Republic to take down its corruption, Dark Cacao is dealing with the repercussions of generational trauma and complicated grief, and Pure Vanilla even has the trauma of losing his kingdom and his family, having to deal with that while trying to keep himself as put-together as he possibly can be. They have their own individual character that defines them, and isn't necessarily canon, but it's interesting enough for my brain to latch onto.

Affogato, meanwhile, sort of doesn't have that in my AUs. Canonically he's a largely manipulative person, capable of using charisma and words to sway his way into the good graces of places he ought not to. And for a while a part of me was wondering whether or not it's because I'm not very good at writing manipulative characters--half of my brain fumbles with trying to find a way for them to justify their manipulation tactics to themselves, and make it seem like they have no choice--but perhaps that's not entirely the truth. A part of it, yes, but not entirely.

After all, I like Manipulative Madeline a lot. He's a very self-driven character. So what's the difference between him and Affogato, when canonically Affogato is a manipulator and Madeline absolutely isn't?

So it's sort of at this point that I come to realize that all of my character interpretations actually have characters outside of themselves. The dynamics exist but it isn't what them or the story centers around, and that's largely aided by the fact that it's essentially also how it is in canon. Affogato doesn't really have that luxury--the vast majority of his character is defined as a contrast against Dark Cacao, so I feel we don't really know who he is on a personal level, and as such, it's difficult to figure out what his character is.

It's the same issue with Caramel Arrow, I feel. We have a blueprint of how these characters exist and what their motivations are, but it's rather basic and both of them revolve around a person--that person being Dark Cacao. While there's nothing wrong with that, it's hard to come up with an interpretation that stays loyal canon or takes an aspect or two of them and twists it on its head in an interesting way.

As an example, I saw how the fandom treats Madeline largely like a lovable doofus golden retriever sort of person with narcissistic tendencies and a heart of gold, and then I thought: 'What if that was a cover-up?' And from there, I worked on his personality, his backstory, and his belief system to make the blueprint for a story that I genuinely believe is very, very interesting.

And with Pure Vanilla, I saw a sweet cookie with a heart of gold who can do no wrong and doesn't like conflict and thought to myself: 'I know cookie descriptions imply that the ingredients of a cookie influences their personality, but I feel like it'd be interesting if Pure Vanilla is sweet and kind not because that's how he's made, but because that's how he CHOSES to be.' So now I have a stressed king who doesn't take praise well, loves too much to the point of self-neglect, and is perpetually teetering on the edge of losing his shit.

The pont being that with those two characters, there were traits that I could take and then subvert--ways that I could change them in an interesting manner without making them unrecognizable. What do we have with Affogato? What do we have with Caramel Arrow?

Affogato is implied to have had a rough life. He's manipulative. He wants the crown. That's kind of it. What kind of subversion can you do with that? How much context can you gleam?

Caramel Arrow is fiercely loyal to Dark Cacao. ... That's kind of it.

It's. Mmn. Difficult for my brain to write characters like that, it seems. When I think of Affogato reacting to situations, some part of my brain feels flighty in an uncertain way, because I don't really. Know. How he would react to certain situations. I don't know how I'm supposed to perceive his character. The only things I can glean for my AU is a) He genuinely wants to do good by cookies, b) he had a difficult childhood, and c) the different-ness of Bittersweet's kingdom is an odd sense of comfort.

But like. After that comfort and that loss of interest in taking the crown, what is there? Sort of nothing. So I'm like. Hmm. The story becomes less about Affogato in Bittersweet's world and more about Affogato trailing along after Bittersweet while Bittersweet has a lot of his own shit to deal with. That just. Doesn't seem. Interesting and seems like a disservice to the potential that Affogato could have. But without having an idea for what would motivate his character outside of the crown and comfort, it's difficult to figure out how to give him more plot relevancy and conflict.

Idk I'm probably rambling at this point but ah. Just some thoughts. Smth prompted me to bring this up earlier today but it is legit something that's been bothering me for like a month or so.
