for you tab is showing me... content 🤫 you did not hear it from me 🤫 🤫 🤫 🤫 but if ur looking for listener oriented cds usually that stuff pops up if u look for [seiyuu name] + drama cd/otome cd.... drama cd is hit or miss bc those tend to just be what it says on the tin. audio drama usually w/ multiple characters. but otome cds are marketed specifically like You Are The Other Character. use this information wisely.........

Rook Info Compilation part 19: Book 6 and Music
Rook invites himself to the Island of Woe in Book 6 in pursuit of Vil (and in one of Idia’s seiyuu Uchiyama Kouki’s greatest moments, which Tumblr’s egophiliac has animated brilliantly, here!).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rook reminds Epel and the Prefect that their goal is not to win the inevitable battle against the Charon but to lose and be taken inside STYX headquarters, and then freezes an island of ice on the ocean to serve as a battlefield.
Rook says that he had been fully prepared to take drastic measures if STYX had been doing something terrible to the kidnapped students, but he feels better knowing that they are receiving special exams and blot treatments.
When Ortho asks why it is that he came Rook explains, “So that I could tell myself, ‘I did what I could,’ which resonates with Ortho, who later says, “Thanks to you and your friends coming here, I think I finally understand my purpose. I must do my best so I can say, ‘I did what I could.’"
(Ortho then proceeds to shut down Cerebus and unite with the soul of the dead child he was created to replace.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
According to Trey, Rook will sometimes sing randomly during Science Club meetings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deuce says that Rook started singing during while weeding the fire lotuses during Glorious Masquerade despite looking pained (“It was like watching a musical”) and Rook also bursts into song during Spectral Soiree, singing part of an obscure opera “known only to true enthusiasts.”
Vil says that Rook, Epel and the Film Research club (of which neither of them are members) got together and performed a “tolerable” opera for Vil’s birthday.
Rook is also a fan of classical musical and shares a conversation with a ghost about a Coral Sea court musician from three hundred years earlier, impressing the ghost with his familiarity with music history.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In addition to classical music and operas Rook also enjoys musicals, with historical musical “King’s Road” having a particular influence on him when he was a child. Rook explains, “I had trouble expressing myself as a child. But one day, I went with my family to the Shaftlands Royal Theater, and my whole life changed.”
He had seen “King’s Road” for the first time, and says that the performance of the lead actor—Neige LeBlanche—was the first time he’d been moved to tears.
Rook says it wasn’t Neige himself who moved him but the elements of the show combined—music, costumes, design—that made Neige shine. He says that the other cast members were spectacular, especially the villains, but he does not specify that child-Vil was one of them.
In his third birthday vignette Rook says that he often watches movies and TV dramas, and there is one series in particular that he has seen over 100 times.
Rook says he got two tickets to an opera from his parents for his birthday. (Other presents Rook received for his birthday have been compiled here.)

BLCD Review: Zanzou Slow Motion
Tumblr media
Title: Zanzou Slow Motion (残像スローモーション)
Author/Artist: Janome
Shop: CD + Manga
Release Date: 2021/05/28
Cast:
Furukawa Makoto x Nakazawa Masatomo
Eguchi Takuya
Satou Gen
Tadokoro Hinata
Yasuaki Takumi
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu
Ichikawa Aoi
Yanagi Kouhei
Karino Sho
Synopsis:
What happens when two rival directors who hate each other's guts are forced to share one roof? And what if one of them has a secret he's been harboring for years? Throw in a shared love of movies, BL manga, and an accidental kiss, and you've got the next heart-pumping love story in Midorigaoka High and the sequel to Twilight Out of Focus 1. Jin Kikuchihara, third-year director, main actor, and president of the film club, and second-year director Giichi Ichikawa see eye-to-eye on very little. Jin is flashy, flirty, and focused on keeping everyone happy, while Giichi expects the best from himself and others, and will compromise nothing to see his vision through. Constantly at each other's necks, the two can hardly stand to be in the same club. But what will happen when family trouble forces them to live in the same room? Will their shared interests bring them closer as friends, push them further apart as rivals, or something else entirely?
Review Proper
Tumblr media
I love Tasogare Outfocus, but this is actually my favorite Janome.
The second installment curse strikes again!
UGHHHHHHH THIS WAS SO WHOLESOME. Don't get me wrong, Tasogare Outfocus is written pretty decently, but I really don't like how Janome just glossed over Hisashi's SA and grooming like that. It reminds me a lot of Etude vol. 1. I can still get over Etude vol. 1 'cause it's not that uncommon to see in sports and Ichi-san's deal with Futami was given some closure in 2, but given how short Tasogare Outfocus was, Hisashi felt like he just lmao byed his teacher. 😔Doesn't help that it kinda doesn't matter anymore in overlap even though it hasn't been long since it ended. Is my son Hisashi really okay now? 🥹
I'm old, so DK BL doesn't appeal to me that much anymore. It's also hard to find good DK rivalries nowadays that aren't just about fucking or delinquents. Zanzou Slow Motion, however, just checked all the right boxes for the category: simple, no drama, and no loose ends. That coupled with Janome's element of touch?
Tumblr media
And can we talk about this monologue?
Tumblr media
Ugh.
I will say Jin's suspenders, Ichikawa's snatched waist, and the ABO shout-out greatly influenced my decision too. Y'all should get suspended in high school, not wear suspenders!
Onto the technicalities...
I don't think I've heard these two co-star before (or I just don't remember), so I was a bit skeptical especially 'cause last I heard Makonyan in a DK was in, well... Given as BLCD!Ritsu. And where else did we hear Yuuma star in a DK too? Yuuma as Anime!Ritsu. We just had Given Anime!Ritsu in Tasogare Outfocus being somewhat friends with Ichikawa and now we have BLCD!Ritsu (thanks to ecargmura for catching this!) trying to romance him. They used very different tones for Ritsu, but the vibe was the same overall. THEY'RE THE SAME PERSON. Makonyan and Nakamo also played tops in the last works I heard of them (Makonyan as Takaba in Kurui Naku and Nakamo as Yakumo in Nu:carnival), so I was concerned about a lot of things. Thankfully, however, instead of Makonyan going for his Ritsu tone or his lighter Kimitte Yatsu for a more youthful vibe, he went all shounen in here lmaooo.
His bwakame was so funny it reminded me of this:
Tumblr media
I love roasting Makonyan more than any other seiyuu out of fondness, but I'm really proud of how far he's gone. He's gotten so much better in his delivery, and it's obvious in his budding anime career, too.
But...
I didn't expect there would be improvements in his bedding techniques too...
Tumblr media
What the fuck was that? HAHAHAHAHAHA. WAIT. No, y'all don't understand. I have most of this man's r-18 otome CDs and BLCDs, and I have never heard him this... this hot before???? Jin is such a smooth flirt, so I had some expectations on the delivery, but FURUKAWA MAKOTO HISSES. HE HISSES!!! SIR IS THIS APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR FOR A HIGH SCHOOL BOY??? THEY DON'T EVEN SHOW THEM DO THE DO FOR MORE THAN A MINUTE??? WHERE WAS THE NEED?!
PUTS THE GODDAMN FU IN FURUKAWA MAKOTO ALRIGHT!
First it was Ono Yuuki, now it's Makonyan. Is Nakamo's ass really that good that his tops go all in???
I admittedly don't have a lot to say about Nakamo because that man always slays. I was afraid that Makonyan would overpower him during their Netflix and chill, but as soon as I had that thought, Nakamo pushed back like??? THEM SHAKIRA HIPS DON'T LIE!
HOW DO I LEGALLY MARRY GINGER RECORDS???
I didn't read the scan or the official English release 'cause I actually had the raws, so I can't vouch for the translation. As for faithfulness to the manga, however, I need to stress that there were a lot of rearranged events and cut dialogue. One notable instance was Ichikawa's message for Jin. It was placed after their kiss in the last chapter, so I believe that these changes are quite significant. It is still possible to read the manga while listening to the BLCD, but I suggest reading the manga once first so you're aware of which pages you need to jump to.
Chil-chil Awards 2022 was a scam 'cause this wasn't nominated for ANYTHING! This might actually just be my favorite BLCD of 2021... and Makonyan was my favorite actor in this series so far. OKITSU AND MAKONYAN REALLY SWITCHED IN THIS LOG HAHAHAHA. Makonyan and Nakamo at least won in my heart. 😌 Definitely listen to this if you're a Makonyan fan or if you're a fan of the series in general. It's also perfect if you're looking for something light and sweet but immersive at the same time. Chesk gives this a 9/10! Only the third 9 after Sonna ni and KD!

Note
I'd rather support chinese BL (novel, manhua) and their fans with their complicated lore and cultivation system, with manhwa BL fans, the fujodanjin of animanga BL fans, all of which can have a homophobic bunch but somehow I can still find a safe space and even proshipping. Compared to Thai BL and the fans cuz a lot of the stories are not that good. They rely too much on copying East Asian BL tropes and some of the actors and writers are so homophobic. Lots of production drama and is just a mess. A lot of rookie actors only play BL because it's an easy and quick cast if you're attractive, the plot is easy and the acting is easy. Somehow actual queer actors are not allowed to cast.
I know this fast cash thing is also common between Japanese BL audio drama seiyuus and live actors too, beginners used to use BL as a gig to kick start their career and they can use different stage names and though I'm not surprised if some of them are homophobic (I'm speaking as another mlm Asian here. Asian people in general are still so blatantly queerphobic) but at least most work backstage and it's less common to celebify seiyuus than live actors.
I find more diversity in East Asian BL fans than Thai fans it feels like it's just stuck in early 2000s. Fujo stereotype on steroids and I actually like fujos. Some of my girl friends who like BL are a-okay but the recent trend of saying, "how can I be homophobic? (raikan topeni 18+ warning)" sounds exactly like "I'm not homophobic, I have gay friends (who I cherry pick so I can use them as a moral shield)".
Maybe for some MLM, they hate the idea of non-men jacking off to MLM sex but I don't... as long as they're cool with me existing.
Note: when I say thai BL fans, this includes international thai BL fans and not just locals.
--
It seems like there's an evolution in both BL and queer media in a given place. Two different evolutions. As an industry evolves, it goes through a bunch of phases, and the earlier ones aren't usually ones I like. Or at least that's how it seems to me.

brother crab's winter 2024 parting thoughts: cherry magic
Tumblr media
the office fujoshi sums it up pretty nicely
i'd consider this easily one of the better bl adaptations we've ever gotten, and what a delightful story to get it. pretty glad i decided SEVERAL YEARS AGO to wait for the anime instead of starting the manga so i could see it in motion (and voice acted!! though i was not yet such a seiyuu freak back then... ah foreshadowing)
although i'd say waiting for the voice acting was worth it (to me, now a certified seiyuu freak, and with a caveat) i feel like anyone who's into live action dramas should go for the drama adaptations. like the anime was really cute to me and quite satisfying, but just judging by the many gifsets of the drama i've seen throughout the years IT IS ALSO INCREDIBLE AND LOOKS SO CUTE despite not seeing it i would recommend it lol
(the caveat about the voice acting is i'm still always baffled by the choice to cast new voice actors for the anime when there is already a blcd cast... i was looking forward to the blcd cast...... but alas it was not meant to be, i'm sure there are various reasons for this happening and that's fine)
anyway! tl;dr good stuff, WE ARE NOW SHIFTING INTO OMEGAVERSE MODE. STUDIO DEEN DO YOUR WORST (BEST)
speaking of which it's REALLY CUTE TO ME THAT CHERRY MAGIC ANIME ENDED WITH TADAIMA OKAERI AND NEXT SEASON WE WILL BE GETTING TADAIMA OKAERI LIKE A PASSING OF THE YAOI BATON IF YOU WILL

I had to do this one because I was curious about the shoujo-esque styled Yuri comic on the side. Apparently it was a review comic of the drama special included with Vol 6 of the dvd/blu-ray release for Season 1. It was drawn by Kiki and included on pg 22 of the magazine this blurb appeared in.
I've translated the information in the blurb that follows the DVD/Blu-ray info, pertaining to the drama itself.

Best Underrated Anime Group H Round 2: #H5 vs #H8
#H5: Middle school soft tennis club deals with trauma
#H8: Zombies make really good music
Details and poll under the cut!
Tumblr media
#H5: Stars Align (Hoshiai no Sora)
youtube
Summary:
Constantly outperformed by the girls' club, the boys' soft tennis club faces disbandment due to their poor skills and lack of positive results in matches. In desperate need of members, Toma Shinjou is looking to recruit capable players, but he fails to scout anyone. Enter Maki Katsuragi, a new transfer student who demonstrates great reflexes when he catches a stray cat in his classroom, instantly capturing Toma's attention. With his interest piqued, Toma ambitiously asks Maki to join the boys' team but is quickly rejected, as Maki doesn't wish to join any clubs. Toma refuses to back down and ends up persuading Maki—only under the condition that Toma will pay him for his participation and cover other club expenses.
As Maki joins the team, his incredible form and quick learning allow him to immediately outshine the rest of the team. Although this gives rise to conflict among the boys, Maki challenges and pushes his fellow team members to not only keep up with his seemingly natural talent, but also drive them to devote themselves to the game they once neglected.
Propaganda 1:
Covers a wide variety of issues and gets into the nitty-gritty of the often under-prosecuted instances of child abuse in Japanese society. Multiple LGBT characters, subversions of gender roles, a simple but appealing art style, and some really talented seiyuu to top it all off.
Propaganda 2:
This series is so amazing even though it was cut halfway through (and the trigger warnings, mainly in regard to the environments many of the characters live in) make it difficult to suggest at times. It’s half a sports anime and half a drama, switching between the sports sections and explorations of the lives of the characters involved, the latter of which is the part I really adore. The story discusses the heavily discussed topic of abuse pretty well and also has a good handle on discussions about things like gender (specifically in regard to a canon non-binary character, though there is also a minor character who is a trans man who is also discussed) that I haven’t seen too many other series address, or at least not to the effectiveness of this story. The characters also just have so much charm and compliment each other well, and I love watching them get closer and interact. They’re buddies, and I adore the boys soft tennis team plus Yuu and Mitsue (+ Arashi I guess. He’s from a different school’s team and directly opposed the team, but he very quickly becomes their friend afterwards), as well as all of their dynamics. It’s not a watch for when you’re looking strictly to have a fun time or looking for a complete story, but it’s an amazing story regardless. Also, I love the opening and ending songs so much. I wish this series got its season two so much because it’s so good, I don’t think I did it justice at all.
Trigger Warnings:
Child abuse: Most of the cast is from an abusive household, including mcs.
Domestic abuse: Off-screen/implied, parent of a main character.
Gender/sexuality discrimination: From a parent to a non-binary character + from bullies to a gay character.
Emotional abuse: Some major characters have emotionally abuse parents, this is shown on-screen.
Minor injuries: Blisters, bruises, one scene with plenty of blood but clarified to just be a minor head wound afterwards. etc.
Tumblr media
#H8: Zombieland Saga
youtube
Summary:
Sakura Minamoto dreams of becoming an idol. Unfortunately, reality hits her like a truck, and she dies in a sudden traffic accident. Ten years later, she wakes up in Saga Prefecture, only to find herself a zombie with no memory of her past. While still coming to terms with her demise, she meets a man named Koutarou Tatsumi, who explains that he has resurrected her and six other zombie girls from different eras for the purpose of economically revitalizing Saga by means of an idol group. Assuming the role of an abrasive manager, Koutarou begins scheduling events; the girls go along with it, eventually deciding to name their idol group Franchouchou. An absurdly comedic take on the idol genre, Zombieland Saga tells the story of Franchouchou's heartwarming struggle to save Saga Prefecture while hiding their zombie identities and rediscovering their past lives.
Propaganda:
ITS SO GOOD OHMYGOD. First of all, the music? Amazing. The 3D animation they use for the dancing isn’t the best, but the songs are all bangers. The story is also amazing—it’s just the right blend of silly and serious to really get you to love and care about the characters. And it WILL make you cry. It’s a really cool take on zombies and really uses the full potential of its premise really well. Its dub is also actually good. The acting is great, and the jokes are translated perfectly.
Trigger Warnings: Animal Cruelty or Death, Child Abuse, Gender Identity/Sexuality Discrimination, Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore

Today I wanna talk about how WITH's role, as characters and as their seiyuu, is pretty inseparable. (Warning: it's gonna be very long.)
Tumblr media
When it comes to idol anime (or any anime that has performing bits really), there are two approaches that the production team usually take:
Have two different people to do the voice act and performing bit, or
Cast one person to do both
For series that focuses on stage performances/concerts (like Prism and LL), they usually use the second approach. It's nothing new, but PriPara is a bit more unique because they extend this to the stage plays as well.
When an anime series got adapted into stage play, it's very rare to find the seiyuu plays their character. But when PriPara makes stage play adaptation, the main casts are played by the seiyuu themselves. I'm not that big into stage plays so I can't give any accountable opinion on this matter, but to me, this makes the characters feel more... authentic, for a lack of better words. The seiyuu also gets more opportunity to build their characters. This is especially true for WITH.
We all know that WITH is just a group of side characters, and there's nothing much about them in the main media (Idol Time anime). This can't be helped since the anime is created to focus on Yui's story after all. But thanks to their banger song, they gained enough popularity to be invited to Pretty Series concerts, and eventually got their own separate events. And this is where it starts.
Unlike the girls, who have their character settings fleshed out in the anime, WITH seiyuu have to fill in so many gaps for their solo events. This allows them to play their character more freely, and even suggest their ideas to the directors. Since the boys barely had anything set in stone, it wasn't that hard to get the approval. Of course, not all of these ideas are used as canon material (like the mascots that I've talked about). However, some of it does ended up being used; for example, the story of Koyoi's past.
In their first solo event, WITH's seiyuu were asked to draw an outfit for their character. Reiou (Koyoi's seiyuu) drew Koyoi in a ninja thief suit, and explained that "this is when he was more wild in the past".
Tumblr media
Yup, this is the birth of Koyoi's past story. Reiou came up with how Koyoi was known as "Avocado School's rampage machine gun" in his rebellious era back in middle school, as a joke. This joke sticks to the whole production team, so much that it ended up being used in their audio drama, and later being made as the base for WITH Stage plot.
Seichi and Kobatatsu also have some influences to WITH's canon, but Reiou's more recognizable, perhaps because he's an aspiring mangaka and has a knack for building character settings. The birth of DARK NIGHTMARE was also indirectly thanks to him, since Koyoi's rebellious past gave the production team an idea for his past acquaintances. He actually contributed so much to WITH concept and stage plot that I'm gonna need a full separate post to list them all. He's even nicknamed "the ghost director of WITH".
Aside from their inputs to the story, the three of them also put so much efforts into bringing the characters to life. They practiced so much to the point that they're able to sing and dance just like real JP idols, even though they're voice actors. I know it's not that special for female seiyuu nowadays, but that's not the case with male seiyuu. And the reason for that is because all three of them always went above and beyond what's expected from them. On their first event, they revealed that some of the songs they performed actually weren't required to have choreography (e.g. Tick Tock Magical Idol Time and Make It!), but they still decided to do it and had Kobatatsu taught the other two some of the moves.
Those efforts weren't in vain, because WITH now has so many fans who are/were also JP boygroup fans, and many of them said that "WITH's performance quality is on par with real idols, it's really good". This was also what drawn me to them at first, their performance is just that good. I'll link some below.
youtube
youtube
So yeah, thanks to all their efforts on performing and contributions in building the characters, you really can't easily swap them for any other seiyuu/actors. The chemistry between all three of them is also really great and it's fun to watch them fool around on Twitter and events. Those are the reasons why so many people love them, even though they don't have that many contents compared to other characters in the series. And if you never watched their performances or stage plays, give it a chance! You might like it, or even fall for them haha.

17th Seiyu Awards
This year's Seiyu Award ceremony was the first in-person one in three years, and it's also the first year that they made the awards completely gender-neutral which is a decision I can get behind. With each of the awards, I will be putting one notable role each from this past year or so, but I won't be putting any for some awards. I might put my thoughts under some, but I don't want to clog this post with too much uselessness.
Best Leading Voice Actor Award:
Chika Anzai
Tumblr media
Takuya Eguchi
He also won the Most Valuable Seiyuu Award.
Tumblr media
Atsumi Tanezaki
Tumblr media
Best Supporting Voice Actor Award
Shuuichi Ikeda
Tumblr media
Ryotaro Okiayu
Tumblr media
Atsumi Tanezaki
Tumblr media
Best Rookie Voice Actor Award
Shuuichiro Umeda
Tumblr media
Hina Suguta
Tumblr media
Anna Nagase
Tumblr media
Minami Hinata
Tumblr media
Shion Wakayama
Tumblr media
Best Foreign Film / Drama Award
Shihori Kanjiya
Toshiyuki Morikawa
Note: He is the official dub-over for Tom Cruise. Top Gun: Maverick was really popular in America (even getting nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars)
Best Singer Award: Nijigasaki High School Idol Club
Influencer Award: Natsuki Hanae
His cats released a photobook.
Kei Tomiyama Award: Junichi Suwabe
Kids/Family Award: Ikue Otani & Rica Matsumoto
Considering that Matsumoto played Ash (Satoshi) in Pokemon, it is only fitting to give her and Otani (the voice of Pikachu) the best sendoff possible (although, Pikachu will remain in the cast).
Best Synergy Award: Jujutsu Kaisen
I totally thought this was going to go to Lycoris Recoil, but Jujutsu Kaisen is very popular. I still don't know if they're recasting Geto due to recent news though.

This weekend I had a one-in-a-lifetime experience in Chile’s Super Japan Expo event. I got to meet Hosoya Yoshimasa!!!! And also, Shinichiro Miki. I want to tell you how it went!

The event lasted 4 days, but I had tickets for Saturday and Sunday, both of the days that Hosoyan would be in the event. I got the m&g with him for Sunday because the friend I was with didn’t had m&g ticket for Saturday and I didn’t want to leave her alone haha.
On Saturday I attended Hosoyan and Miki’s seiyuu pannel, which was held in the main stage of the event. That’s the first time I saw him up close and omg to say I was speechless is an understatement. I have no pictures of this because Hosoyan’s staff didn’t allow it and I really wanted to respect his and his team wishes so they could see how well behaved we were and would want to come back. Still, it was really fun and they mentioned cool things about them and their job that most of the attendees didn’t know. What I remember of this pannel is this:
-when Hosoyan entered the stage, we were cheering loudly and he shushed us and THE WHOLE STAGE WENT SILENT! it was so cool! He then recited a line from Reiner and we all went crazy.
-when it was Miki’s turn, we did something so cool were the whole audience recited Musashi’s lines in the rocket team motto (we did it in spanish) and Miki did Kojiro’s. It was awesome!
-the interviewer asked them the typical questions such as if they liked Chile and what they thought of the crowd’s energy and love towards them (Chilean and latinamerican crowds and fans can be veeeeery energetic and we cheer like crazy for our faves) Miki and Hosoyan said that they were really amazed at how loud and fired up we were, saying that in Japan they didn’t get the same reactions (they mentioned this as something really positive which they loved a lot)
-then they were asked about their roles and what got them into voice acting, again, this is not new information, but it stuck to me when Hosoyan answered that question, he told us the story about how a friend of his at school lend him a VHS tape of an anime he wanted to see (i don’t remember the exact name, sorry) and he liked the main character so much cuz he was able to teleport, so, in his child mind he thought something like ‘mmh i wanna teleport too’ so he wanted to become a voice actor after that. He ended his story saying: “and now I am able to teleport” which made us laugh a lot (he was so cute and silly ♥️)
-they also talked about their first experience in the voice acting industry. For Miki’s case, he was casted as a character called student c for Monster Hunter anime, if I remember correctly, his sole line was something like “That’s not human!” Towards a demon and his character was k worded by said demon lmao. Then Hosoyan told us that his first role ever wasn’t even in an anime but in the dubbed version of a Chinese drama or movie, where his character got be headed by the protagonist. Both Hosoya and Miki finished their stories with “I guess we got killed a lot back then” HAHAHAHA
-Miki also told about his first voice acting role, he was so nervious that he was shaking so, in order to hide the tremors of his hands, he put them on his pocket the whole time and all his superiors thought he was having a bad attitude towards them so he got scolded HAHAHA
-they were also asked about if they had times in where they would be so into character that they’d end up sharing the same feelings and suffering along their characters. Miki said that he, in order to do his job right, had to be the person who knew that character the most, so there were times in which he felt that way. On the other hand, Hosoyan said that he tried to distance himself from characters because he felt that, even if he got into the skin of his roles, he would never be able to express the genuine feelings his characters are experiencing. He used Reiner as an example and said that he had a complicated past and had suffered a lot and said that he was different because he was a happy and lively person that lived his life to the fullest and I loved that about him.
-during the whole thing they were waving, smiling, doing finger hearts. It was so cute. Hosoyan smiled at me multiple times and responded to my waving!
-at the end both Hosoyan and Miki took a picture for their socials. Miki took it with an ipad, it was really cute!
Then, for Sunday, I feel that it was more intimate. It was pretty cold and less people attended but still, the main stage was packed and full and they received a lot of love too.
This pannel was slightly different.
-again, Hosoyan entered with a line from Reiner and we did the whole Musashi and Kojiro thing again. It was just as cool.
-they were again asked about their feelings on Chile and the crowd and they said that they thought few people would come but they were really happy to see a lot of people, specially familiar faces from yesterday. (This was after the m&g so we all had our signed shikishi). I was pretty happy they remembered the people that was in the pannel the day before.
-this time, in the stage, right next to the interviewer was Alvaro Díaz, a popular and well loved Chilean Voice actor that was a guest and asked Miki and Hosoya very interesting questions. His interventions were very positive and added a whole new mood to the pannel.
-Alvaro asked Miki and Hosoyan if they had times in which they intervened in something that had to do with the characters they were voicing. Miki said that he considered the director as the captain of a ship and that he respected his decisions on his characters fully. He also said that his sole job in the studio was to give a voice to said character so he listened to the director’s directions, on the other hand, Hosoyan said that he was very talkative when it came to his characters and in more than one chance he exchanged opinions with directors on this matter. He said that he always had something to say and never kept it to himself haha. I loved seeing this side of him! And I also loved the contrast between him and Miki. Hosoyan then added something that stuck to me a lot: he said that we Chilean fans were lucky because those kind of things were never discussed in events in Japan. Those topics were talked about off work, between fellow seiyuu along with drinks. It was so cool!!!
-Miki then looked at Hosoyan and said “wow, look how much you’ve grown!” And it was soooo cute! They reminisced the times where Miki would take Hosoyan out for drinks and give advice to him ❤️❤️❤️
-Then Hosoyan talked about his role as Joe in the megalobox anime and he talked a lot about this. It was pretty awesome. He told us about how nervious he was about this role because it was a reboot of and old anime and that he respected Joe’s original voice actor a lot so he felt pressured to do a great job. Teruhiko Aoi then contacted him and told him that he saw Joe well portrayed by him on the screen which made him feel really happy.
-Miki then talked about his role as Takumi for initial D. He talked about how he got the same car as the protagonist and kept customizing it along the car in the anime was customized and now he had a completely different car hahaha. Then the event showed a trailer for a branch story of the same anime, which had nothing to do with Miki 💀 and, when it finished, Miki said “do you know what’s the best part of this trailer? THAT MY NAME IS NOT ON IT!” HAHAHAHAHA.
-during the trailer, Miki, the translator, the interviewer and Alvaro moved from the screen to let people watch and Hosoyan didn’t HAHAHA he was sitting, watching the whole thing, then he looked at us, very confused at to why everyone was laughing and then moved away slowly lmao it was soooooo cute!!!
-then hosoyan took a pic for his socials. Miki didn’t do it this time.
I feel like Saturday’s pannel was shorter but idk haha
Thennnnn, the m&g!!!! As I said, I bought a m&g ticket for Sunday. Gifts were allowed so I bought him a bottle of wine. I wanted to give him something he could enjoy and Chilean wine is worldwide famous so it was the perfect gift.
Before entering the m&g we were waiting with the other girls in there and talking to each other about the whole thing. There were girls that came all the way from Peru!!! It was soooo cool!! They were also super friendly and sweet, so if you are here and reading this, it was soooo nice to meet you all!
There were other girls who attended the m&g the day before and talked to us about their experience. They mentioned Hosoyan’s manager, who was standing a few feet away from us haha. They say she was SUUUUUUPER strict and scary and that she was the main reason behind the no picture rule and stuff. They also said that, during the m&g she kept things really fast and didn’t let Hosoyan interact with fans for a long period of time. I looked at her and she had this 9 yard stare, like she was super scary HAHAHA.
Then, we entered the m&g, which was held in a small room. There were chairs and stuff and a stage with the events banners and all that jazz. We were given masks at the entrance and they told us it was imperative to wear them. Then, the staff of the event came and they told us the rules. No photos allowed, the gifts wr had for him couldn’t be handed to him directly, so they collected them and put them aside. He did take the gifts with him so it was cool. The shikishi were already signed. He had signed them previously. We were explained how it would work: Hosoyan would enter, share some words with us, then give us the shikishi by order, shake our hands and we would leave 💀 we were given only 15 seconds to interact with him.
Well, he came and I was literally dying. Like I couldn’t believe how handsome he was. I kid you NOT, he is GORGEOUSSSSS!!! And so coom and polite omg he was smiling the whole time, said hi to us in spanish and was super happy to see the girls from Peru there. He literally was a ray of sunshine, the whole room lighted up when he smiled or laughed. The his manager hurried him up and he started handing the shikishi. I was in the front row of seats so we were first, we had to use sanitizer on our hands, then he would shake our hands and hand us the thing. I got suuuuuper nervious and I was shaking. I apologized to him for not speaking japanese and told him about the wine and that I hoped he enjoyed it. He squeezed my hand and smiled brightly! He was so warm and rubbed my hands cuz they were cold hahaha. He thanked me for the wine and for coming and gave me the signed shikishi. Then I had to leave HAHAHA. It was SUUUUUPER SHORT, super duper fast, but i’m not really complaining because not even a fulm interaction of 24 hours or something would be enough with someone as bright, handsome, cool and talented as him. For real!!! After the whole thing I was shaking and I literally couldn’t believe I had shaken the hand of THE Hosoya Yoshimasa. He was so humble and down to earth too, it was the best experience ever!! It was worth EVERY CENT!!!
So that’s it!! I hope you liked my experience hehe. I will not upload a picture of the signes shikishi because he asked us to keep it as a personal treasure and not upload it to socials 🥺 still, ill leave you a pic I took before the m&g and the pics he took of us on both pannels!
Miki also was such a sweetheart! On Sunday he was almost moved to tears to see how much the Chilean public loved him. It was the best!!!

Tumblr media
NO PUEDO ESPERAR PARA JUGARLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤤

"THINK OF ME : ARK" CAST INTERVIEW TRANSLATION
I translate the cast interview for THINK OF ME : ARK.  Their answer somehow showed their personality, I mean the seiyuu not the character. Also, this is not 100% accurate translations ;)
I like how Tosshi-san call Ageha with "sama" and other just call him by his name.
Source : Animate times
"HOPELESS ARK OFFICIAL MV"
Cast :
(Loulou*di)
Toyonaga Toshiyuki as Karasuma Ageha
Takeuchi Shunsuke as Hinagi Rui
Yamashita Daiki as Sakurai Toki
(Anthos*)
Horie Shun as Yashiro Setsuna
1st question : "What are your impressions after reading the scenario for the first time and after finishing the recording?"
Toyonaga-san : My impression is that everything developing has progressed further. And also, Ageha-sama… I was like “You’re a kind person?!”(Laugh) I’m really looking forward to what is going to happen next.
Takeuchi-san : I have a strong impression of Ageha at the end of the story and how the scenario going made it even more difficult, and then what would happen to the three of them next. This time I was able to have a conversation with Yamashita-san (Toki VA), also I was able to feel more of a sense of the gaze of passion that expresses “Always chasing of Ageha existence”. That left an impression on me.
Yamashita-san : I felt something might be gonna start to change. I wondered if the change was going to be a good way or bad way… There was something itching feeling that I can’t figure out then it was just over.
It always happens, but ended in the way I worried the most. Also, this time I was able to see something precious like Rui's unexpected expression, which was a good thing.
Horie-san : This is my first time participating in Loulou*di CD, but it feels different and disturbing. I was able to enjoy the difference between the two units with their own dialogue. This time I did the recording with Takeuchi-san who plays Rui, but since both of us have a small part, we talked about things like “I’m sorry Mixer-san” (Laugh)
---
2nd question : "What is your favorite scene or line from your character?"
Toyonaga-san : I would like to leave it to the audience to judge. In the end, Loumiel’s reaction to the words directed at Loumiel was surprisingly realistic and that was impressive.
Takeuchi-san : I personally like the scene when Rui shows off the bear he repaired. Also, I like the daily life parts of works, those are so finely written that you can feel the depth of the characters' lives.
Yamashita-san : I think where Rui and I play the piano. The staff and Takeuchi-kun worked with me to give various patterns and we tried which one sound more natural. I also used a piano app to get the pitch of “Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do” just like the song. (Laugh) But in the end, we didn’t use any of them and we chose to use the flow of dialogue without a pitch. This scene left an impression on me because I enjoyed the time I spend with everyone on set to find something better to use. So this scene was really something to me. (Note - He says keyboard in this interview, but in Drama CD they use piano so I change it)
Horie-san : From all of the scenes that appear, I was stunned by the line “As expected, even here, no one accepts me, either…!” (Laugh) I’m aware of this. I was doing it but I don’t think it’s here either… But, I felt sorry for Setsuna-kun (Laugh)
---
3rd question : "(Only for Loulou*di) We would also like to ask about the songs “Hopeless Ark” and “Dying Matter” that will be recorded with the drama. Please tell us about the episodes during the recording and your impression of the songs."
Toyonaga-san : The level of difficulty is high the same as before, but the music is still very majestic, beautiful, fragile, and powerful, and I really felt the "character" of the music.
Takeuchi-san : Both of them are difficult songs… but I enjoy them so much that I finally get used to and feel comfortable with the way Rui puts his feelings into the song. Also, I feel like I’ve finally become able to record everything quickly and then go home (Laugh).
Yamashita-san : As before, we did the high-difficulty songs. I thought that Loulou*di's song difficulty level was only available for SR or higher levels and this is typical of Loulou*di (Laugh). There are parts where I would never be able to get the right tempo, so everyone I would like to try singing it and see which part it is! (Laugh).
---
4th question : "Please give the message to the fans who listen to this CD."
Toyonaga-san : What will happen to the 3 members of Loulou*di in the future? I think it’s finished in a very interesting part. Ageha-sama is still the same in some ways, but every time I play him, I wonder if that parts of him are what makes him so loveable. I hope you will continue to love him.
Takeuchi-san : I feel the story of Loulou*di will be about the progress of how the fans will accept the ever-changing Loulou*di. So I hope you will continue to keep an eye on their progress.
Yamashita-san : This time too, the songs and the story are that typical of Loulou*di. But it is not lifeless, it’s something that definitely moving and changing. I would be happy if you will continue to accompany me along with the characters and the work.  I also want everyone to stay remember these unforgettable memories about the battle cry… (Last sentence is confusing me)
Horie-san : Enjoy the chemistry changes between Loulou*di and Setsuna. The exchange is as close to separation as possible rather than a fusion. Nevertheless, once again the mystery of Setsuna has deepened this time... This guy is too suspicious!
