Chapter Summary: Seb busts his ass to make things right. Charlie has an interesting experience at the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. Seb takes Charlie on a ride. Charlie finally figures out how to describe that warm feeling in her chest and that way that Seb always looks at her.
Blurb:
Seb climbs off first, totally steady on his feet as if we haven’t been hurtling down open roads for the last half hour. He holds out a gloved hand to help me dismount.
“How was the ride?” He takes both our helmets and places them on the handlebars.
I take a few shaky steps to try and walk off the adrenaline a bit. “A little scary at first, but kind of fun once I got used to it,” I admit. “Where are we?”
Seb takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. “This is my secret spot. Check it out.” He takes my hand and guides me closer to the cliff edge.
My breath leaves me for a moment as the land below comes into view on the horizon. There before us, looking like a chunk of an alien planet, is a skyline I know all too well.
“Zuzu,” I whisper.
Seb nods. “I come here when I want to get away from everything. When I need to just be on my own and think.”
The toxic bots are doing their damnedest to extrapolate on that statement.
He wants to get away from everything.
Everyone does sometimes.
The crinkle of plastic pulls my attention back to Seb. He pops a piece of his gum in his mouth and looks at me warily.
“So what do you think?”
I take a deep breath. “I dunno. It’s strange seeing it from this distance. Like I’m looking at what my life could’ve been if things had gone differently. It’s sad in a way.”
When I look at Seb again he’s got that unidentifiable look in his eyes again. His cheeks are back to rosy as he smiles softly.
“Y’know it’s funny. That’s exactly how I feel. Strangely sad…”
A few toxic bots murmur at this.
“But also strangely happy too. As much as the city used to draw me in, I find I’m much happier living in the Valley now.”
Another chunk of that mental wall falls away at those words. There’s just one piece left.

Summary: He always had his eye you, out feeding your animals, picking fruit and flowers, checking up on the honey bees but he's always been to scared to make a move, until now

He was perfect, you were perfect. It was meant to be
You don’t really know how all of this happened. One day you’re in the big city, good job, good relationship.. The next day, you’re moving out, fired and single. You decided to move out to the countryside, you need a detox from the big city. You settled into a small farm, other farms surrounding you.
When you got settled you had no animals on the farm, just some old beehives from the previous owner and cat who came with the house called, Mittens. You were happy, but you wanted a purpose on your land. You ordered some cows, sheeps and chicken and fixed up the beehives and now you had a purpose.
The catch is, you didn’t know anything about farming.You decided this would be a good time to introduce yourself to your neighbours. On your left hand side you had, Steve. He was tall, blonde and very strong. He showed you the right food to buy for your cattle and how to shear the sheep in the summer and where to sell it to. Two doors down from you was Tony, he was the techy one, he showed you which tractors and ploughs to invest in. On your right you had Ari, he didn’t really show you anything, he was too busy checking you out and just told you if you needed any heavy lifting to come to him. Wanda and Nat lived next to Ari, they showed you their beehives and how to care for them. Jake was the last on the street, he gave you some started seeds for berries and flowers which you were very thankful
Then there was Bucky, he lived a few doors down from Steve. He had farmland and lots of experience. You knocked on his door and your breath was taken away when he opened the door. He was gorgeous, tall, muscular, dark brown hair and a scruffy face. He was perfect. You gave him a sheepish smile before speaking. “Hi, I’m y/n, I moved in a few weeks ago and I’m jus’ setting up my land now and I was wondering if you had any tips or tricks”. He smiled softly at you and opened his door wider. “Why don’t you come in, honey. I got a book of buyers and sellers that can help you”. You blushed and took his offer, stepping in and the smell of vanilla and oak overcame you. “I’m Bucky, by the way”. He led you into the kitchen and stuck on the kettle and began rummaging around looking for the book. “I assume you met everyon- oh please tell me you haven’t talked to Ari?”
You giggled softly and he groaned. “God he tries to get his hand on every woman who come onto the street, you should have seen how disappointed he was when he found out Wanda and Nat were lesbians” You laughed softly and he smiled at you. “You have a beautiful laugh”
You blushed hard and he handed you the book, filled to the brim with leaflets and cards. “Woah, thank you Bucky”
“You’re welcome, honey. Would you like some tea?” You smiled and nodded as you began flicking through the book, but got a little shocked when a white fluffy cat jumped up on the table. The cat purred and nudged his head under your hand, you gently rubbed him and smiled when Bucky turned back. “I see you’ve met Alpine”
“Aw! That’s such a cute name.” You kept petting him as Bucky handed you your tea and soon enough Alpine nestled down on the chair beside you. “So tell me about yourself, y/n. What's a gorgeous girl doing out here on a farm all alone”. You blushed at his slight compliment and told him the whole story of how and why you moved out leaving him in awe. “That’s quite the life story, honey”. You nodded and finished your tea. “Don’t I know it”
You looked over at the clock and then out the window to where the sun was setting. You closed over the book and looked at Bucky. “I should probably get going now, I have a lot of animals to feed now” You both chuckled and you gave the book back to Bucky but he refused. “Keep it, honey. You need it more than I do”. You smiled and gave him a quick hug before leaving.
The next few months were amazing for you. Flowers and plants began blossoming up all over your land, all your animals were healthy and producing well and you were getting close with all your neighbours. You and Steve would constantly bake on the weekends and you, Wanda and Natasha would all package up honey to sell.
But you also grew closer to Bucky, you could sense that something was there. You just didn’t know what. You would constantly have tea at his house, sometimes bringing whatever baked goods you and Steve made that weekend and him teaching you the tricks of the trade. But then it all kinda stopped. Bucky stopped inviting you over and slowly started to stop coming out onto the road. You vented your heart out to the girls about how you were feeling and they felt awful for you, but there wasn’t much they could do, there wasn’t much anyone could do.
So you gave up. You realised he must not feel the same and that nothing was going to happen. But that’s not what was happening. Bucky wanted you so bad that he had to distance himself from you, too worried to upset you, or make you uncomfortable that he literally had to take himself away from you.
You were out the next day, scraping up some honey from your beehives as mittens flops and rolls around the grass beside you. You spotted someone walking up the lane and soon realised it was Bucky. You quickly dropped your scraper and began taking off your bee suit and running over to him. You opened your gate and ran down to him. “Bucky! Hey Bucky!” He turned and gave you a nervous smile. “H-hey, honey” You gave him a big hug and gently rocked side to side. “I’ve missed you so much! Where have you been?”
“Jus’ been a bit down, lovely”. You frowned at his words. “Well why don’t you come over for a picnic later”. Bucky smiled softly and nodded, making you squeal with excitement. “How about four? Oh! And bring Alpine too, he can play with mittens. You smiled and let Bucky start walking again. “See you later!!”. You ran back to your house and instantly began preparing. You made your best sandwiches and picked your best strawberries, and got the best bottle of champagne from Wanda and Natahsa and packed up some of the cookies you and Steve made this weekend. You showered and got changed quickly, putting on a small sundress covered in little flowers.
You went down to your field with your basket and blanket in one hand and mittens in the other. You laid it down and placed mittens on it before setting up the platter of food and laying little flowers on it. You sat down once you saw Bucky walking up the lane. He walked in your gate, Alpine trotting along behind him, you waved at him and he waved back. You stood up and hugged him as he got the blanket. “Hi Bucky”
“Hi Honey” you both smiled and sat at the blanket and you showed Bucky. “I made ham and cheese sandwiches, picked and washed some strawberries from my greenhouse, those are cookies me and Steve last weekend and I stole some champagne from Wanda and Nat.” Bucky smiled widely at you. “Wow y/n, this all looks amazing.. You really didn't have to do all this for me”
“But I wanted to, you said you were feeling down, plus you helped me so I help you”. He smiled at you with so much love in his eyes and looked at the food. “Can I try one of your sandwiches?” You nodded and handed him one and you both began to eat. As you both ate you talked over how life has been and how you both were. By the end of the picnic, your head was resting on Buck’s shoulder and both the cats were snuggled up together. He gently stroked your arm and inhaled the scent of your hair as you watched the sunset. “I missed this honey, I missed us”. You sat up and looked at him, gently stroking his face.
“I missed it too.. I got really worried about you. Why were you down Buck?” He sighed and rubbed his forehead. “I can’t tell you sweetheart” You pouted and moved your hand to his chin. “Yes you can..” Once he heard that, he gently moved his face closer to yours and kissed you softly, taking you by surprise but you kissed him back. The kiss slowly became more and more passionate as Bucky brought his hands to the side of your face and mumbled out. “That’s why I’ve been down.. Couldn't have you”. He kissed you more and you crawled into his lap. “I want you too Bucky”. You moaned out into the kiss making him pull away. “You sure?”
“Positive.”
Bucky quickly scoops up you and two cats before running back to your house. He dropped the two cats off at the door and brought you upstairs as he kissed you more. He kicked open your bedroom door and laid you on the bed, groaning at the sight of your perked nipples through your dress. He pulled off his flannel and his vest before kneeling between you and kissing down the outside of your dress. “Fuck, you’re gorgoeus, honey”. He kept going down before laying flat on his stomach and flipping your dress up and tugging down your pretty white panties revealing your dripping core. You wake up the next morning to the smell of pancakes floating through the house. You quickly grabbed Bucky’s flannel and put it on, running down stairs and hugging Bucky’s waist. He chuckled softly and hugged your arms. “Hi Bucky”
“Hi y/n, how’d you sleep beautiful?”
“So well” you replied back as you went over to the two cats, curled up on the couch. You went back over to Bucky and looked at him before speaking. “What happened last night, I ho-”. Bucky cut you off with a kiss and chuckled softly. “No it wasn’t just a one time thing.. I want this with you honey… I want it all”. You kissed his cheek. “Good.. Cause i want it all too”
Bucky smiled at you and dished up the pancakes. “C’mon love, lets go have this on the deck, maybe Ari will come out and believe me you don’t wanna miss his reaction when he realises he can’t have you either!”

Monday morning I'm on my way to the mines when I notice Robin's garage door is open. Propped up just outside the door is a motorcycle. A pair of long, skinny legs clad in black denim rest on the ground. I allow my eyes to wander up to the exposed skin where Seb's shirt has ridden up.

Seb slides out from under the bike and I realize he's on one of those rolly things.
“Oh hey.” His smile has fangirl bot readying her camera, as does the smudge of engine residue on his nose.
“Sick ride.”
“Thanks.” Seb tugs on an earring. “Yeah I guess I haven't shown it to you yet.”
He slides back under, picking up a socket wrench from the ground.
“I like to make the long ride out of Stardew Valley some evenings.”
Fangirl bot sets her camera down.
“Blazing along the open road toward the faint city glow… there's nothing like it.” Seb's voice is quiet, like he knows what he's saying is making me feel some type of way. “Some days I wanna just head out on my own, to the city and beyond. Just me and my bike.”
Fangirl bot begins to short circuit. It's your own fault for getting your hopes up.

"Ah! Farmer!! You're finally awake!!" Harvey beamed down at you with a warm smile.
You were confused as to how you even got to the clinic, let alone why. "Huh? Uh...Yeah..."
Harvey sits on your bedside after checking your vitals to ensure he can release you after the two days you had spent at the clinic recovering. "So... you're looking a lot better than when you got here." He chuckled to himself.
You peered up at him, eyes half-lidded. "What even happened, Harv'?" As you peer down at your arm you see an IV drip with fluids attached.
"Robin and Demetrius brought you here. You were...in a pretty bad way... Unfortunately, while mining, you were struck by a Shadow Shaman..." Harvey began playing with his thumbs, obviously not wanting to tell you the rest of the story.
Your eyes widen as you realise the seriousness of the situation you have put yourself in. "O-Oh...I'm so sorry to trouble you, Harvey... Feel free to charge it to my account as soon as you can."
"That's not all, love..." The nervousness was evident in his voice; as though he was about to read you your last rights. "You're pregnant..."
You can't help but jolt up in your bed, eyes wide, as the shock strikes you like electricity coursing through your veins. "What?! Harvey. Please tell me you're lying. I'm on contraception! How am I going to handle the farm like this?!"
"Hey, hey... Calm down." Harvey takes your hands in his, looking into your eyes. "You're not on your own for a start. Remember that. You have a community of people who love and care for you. And...as for the contraceptives, they aren't always full proof, and little surprises do happen. You're approaching the seven week mark, by my estimation, so you still have options."
You look down feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. "I'm not getting rid of it..." The tears begin falling down your cheeks like the rain that poured down on your first date with Sebastian. "It's the last thing I have left of him..." You feel a lump in your throat as you place a hand on your stomach.
Harvey, looking ever more concerned, gently squeezes your hand. "Then we know the road we're taking, and we can come up with a plan for a safe pregnancy and delivery. Um...also... I was wondering... if you dont mind me asking, who is the father, love?"
Your tears come to a sudden halt as you realise the predicament you had put yourself in. "Seb...hes the only person I've ever slept with..." You managed to croak out, pain striking you like a dagger.
"I would tell him as soon as you can... He also has a right to know. Unfortunately...Robin and Demetrius already had an idea that it would be Sebastian. I will smooth things over in that department, though, so don't worry yourself about that." Harvey begins to gently remove the drip and places the equipment to the side before returning to your bedside.
Looking defeated, you look up at Harvey, clearly pained. "Harv, how am I going to do that when he's blocked my number...? He clearly wants nothing to do with me anymore... He's got a new life and has moved on. Surely telling him will confuse him and ruin things out there for him..."
Harvey reaches into his pocket, handing you a scrap of paper with an address on it. "Now, don't tell him I told you, what with patient confidentiality and all that... but this is Sebastian's new address. I managed to get it when I sent over his medical records to the new clinic in the city. And we both know Sebastian isn't like that. He may be reclusive, but maybe this is what you both need. A fresh start for you both, if you will."
"Hmm...maybe..." You manage to pull a weak smile in Harvey's direction.
"Anyway, other than the pregnancy, your fever has cleared, and you're ready for discharge. Seriously though, if you need anything, love, you know where to come. I am only a call away." Harvey smiles softly at you, rubbing your arm as you pull yourself out of bed.
"Thank you, Harvey...for everything." Pulling Harvey into a warm embrace, you whisper. "I guess I'd better go find Seb then..."
Hugging you back tightly, Harvey replies. "Good luck, love. I know you can do this."
You wave to Harvey as you leave the clinic and begin to make your way back to the farm. You felt an overflow of emotions as the news of the pregnancy still hadn't fully managed to sink in. You knew deep down though you had to visit Sebastian, though. You had to tell him. You grab the slip of paper from your pocket, holding it closely to your chest. You would set off tomorrow and tell him. Even if he didn't want to be involved in this new chapter, at least you'd have your answer.

Okay, so Seb as a dad is like- the fluffiest man in existence second to Alex-
This man will sob over every small achievement your little angel makes but he wouldn't dare let you see (sam will watch this man breakdown in joy over the kid's first steps-)
He will happily support anything his kid wishes to do no matter what!
They wanna do Ballet? Go for it!
Soccer? Absolutely!
Do drugs? Oh- uh don't do that-
And he is so gentle with the kid as well, his patience knows no bounds after dealing with the step-father I refuse to name.
He wants to be a better father and overall parent than his own and will take his time helping them grow into a wonderful person.
He is also very sweet with teaching the kids and honestly seeing this man interact with even one child makes you want a bajillion more no matter how messy they are
"There we go sweetie, make sure to clean it up alright?" Your heart aches as you watch him softly wipe the paint off of your child's face-- that they somehow managed to get tangled into Sebastian's hair as well.
"That's a good look on you Sebby." you taunt playfully as the little rascal he was cleaning runs from his arms screaming cheerfully at their escape.
A soft sigh escapes his lips as he watched them roll around in the paint more. They were definitely going to need a bath tonight. You laugh and press a kiss to his cheek before heading out to check on the farm.
AAAAAAAAAAAA SEB FLUFF IS THE BEST OMG-
He will make sure that both he and the little rascal help light your load working on the farm as well, with the kid petting all of the animals and Seb helping to collect a few items you need to be shipped in time.
Overall all the help and domesticity is too much for all of our hearts.
